I am 34 years old, I am a teacher and my hearing loss was conditioning my personal and professional life. If you or a loved one has hearing issues, this is the most helpful and expert place in Houston to go. After my 101-year old mother was told by a chain discount hearing center, they could not help her, we took her to Chris at Bisel. He analyzed her previous hearing tests, did some more of his own, and recommended a set of aids that she can easily recharge instead of having to fumble with tiny batteries. Her hearing is so improved now, we can talk in person and on the phone without raised voices or having to repeat ourselves. On a scale of 1 to 10, Chris is, without question, a 15.

Ive never had a hearing check and when I recently noticed difficulty in understanding certain sounds or words during conversation, I decided to get an exam. Chris Bisel did the exam and I was very impressed with his knowledge and ability to describe, in laymans terms, what was going on with my hearing. The exam was much more thorough than I expected with a combination of a visual exam of the inner ear and eardrum (painless by the way) and audio testing for measuring real-time loss. Once the test was over, Chris said to just monitor my hearing for the next 6 months to a year and if needed at that time, hearing aid options could then be considered. I appreciated his honest assessment and not trying to sell me anything I dont yet need. As suggested, I will be going back for another test in several months.

Came here to get ear impressions done for some new inner ear monitors I am purchasing through 64 Audio. Dr. Bisel was very knowledgeable of what he was doing and was a perfectionist to make sure my molds came out perfect. Make sure to check them out if you need any ear impressions done or if you have any ear medical needs.

I came upon Bisel after shopping around for pricing for ear impressions to get my first in-ear monitors. Every other audiologist in Houston wants $75 per ear plus $150 to see the audiologist. Ridiculously expensive when you’re planning to fork out quite a bit for in ear monitors. Bisel was the most transparent in pricing. Oh and if you choose to use one of their connections Ultimate Ears or Jerry Harvey Audio, the impressions are free!So glad I went with Bisel. The numerous reviews praise the good service and they are 100% true. Chris answered the phone when I called. He also welcomed me in after arriving 20 min early. He set me up in the other room to sample the demos UE5, UE7 and UE11. He was so patient and encouraging as I was nervous for the whole experience. He walked me through a mini anatomy of my ear, let me see inside on camera and patiently explained every step. He took his time helping me design my UE5s. Chris knew exactly what he was doing and how the molds should look. He was understanding of my struggles with tiny ear canals.All in all a great experience for ear impressions! I’m sure he is also a wonderful choice for hearing aids.
