Initially when I came to this gym I was very impressed for the investment it’s a value. It’s rarely packed and it’s relatively clean except in men’s restroom they could wipe dwn counters more. My biggest complaint is that the staff does not enforce rules about circuit training in areas you see lots of people hogging equipment. I’ve complained now posting some photos of one guy who regularly takes 2 benches & about 6 to 7 pieces of equipment, additionally the equipment is used outside of the designated areas never replaced & to the extent it’s in the middle of the floor creating trip hazards. I’m certain if management circled and made more presences in the gym they could enforce and minimize this issue. It seems on every evening the staff that arrives around 5 o’clock or later just sits behind the counter half the times they’re in the back office they never circulate through the gym I really think this gym could use a visit from a regional. As you can see in one of these pictures one of the staffers was pushing a cart right past the set of dumbbells that were in the middle of the floor I have reason to believe the individual using them was a off duty employee. I don’t know who the managers of this location is but you can do better train your staff!

It was first visit. As a lot know. The first few times you are finding things. Lots of cleaning stations though and they are open 24hrs now. So its all good

Recently planet fitness remodel their spring branch location and I have to say I love the update. When you walk in planet fitness, the gym looks more vibrant and lit up. The restrooms have lit up mirrors. The gym looks more spacious. Like the new look.

I very much enjoy coming to this location. Is never too too busy that you are not able to use the machines and the staff is great and very efficient. It’s always clean and there has not been a day that I have been there that I don’t see an employee cleaning. They are the Clean Masters !Only thing I wished they would do is to put security at nights or at least weekends because it can be dangerous.

Update: They updated the lighting and it is more appealing.The machines are a mix (refurb) and new ones.It all works.I have yet to test out the black card amenities but so far it is an improvement in lighting.Its a decent place with great staff and nice people there.It is bit smaller than other locations with slightly older equipment.Only real drawback is that it is not lit up very well and one section (yellow) is totally dark and not lit at all. Overall, it could be better, but also could be worse.

Nice selection of machines that are well designed, and well maintained. Friendly staff. Would be perfect if they turned down the music!

When a customer wants to cancelled their membership they have to go to their main planet fitness and cancel. But when there is a closing due to anything w this company business. I guess they do not send out notice to their customers! The customer has to drive there and see a banner posted about the closing!! So what are they going to do for the customers membership dues for that month they are closed ?

Management awesome, and the overall environment very pleasant. I am only in Houston on weekends. I wish planet fitness was in Dayton Texas.

I have been going to this gym over 7 years. I like this place and the price $10 a month you just cant beat it. The staff are very nice they greet you when you first walk in.

I was denied access to the Cypress, Tx location stating that my account had an overdue balance. I paid this ( to this Spring Branch location) over a year ago and have been consistently charged for almost a year.I called this location 3 times and finally spoke to someone whom sounded as if she was sleeping and it took her a minute to get settled. After a while she told she didnt have a computer and told email you guys since the location is closed.I have screenshot from my bank and an email receipt from Planet Fitness.This situation has been extremely frustrating and I have been given no options.Please avoid this gym. Ive been sent in circles for a simple issue. I cant do anything since this place is closed.

Planet Fitness on Hammerly and Gessner was very clean, machines worked great, & great customer service. I have no complaint.

I go here almost every day. The staff is so nice and helpful. They really go above and beyond for you. The equipment is new and the facilities are very clean. I love Planet Fitness!

We would really appreciate if yall enforced the mask mandate. There are lots of people walking around without a mask. When they are at a stationary position that is fine, but there are people who walk around the gym without a mask at all.

You usually go to the gym to de-stress yourself and take off your nerves but this time it was different. Now you can’t go to this gym without people stealing your belongings from your car in plain light and the manager of the place doesn’t put a little effort and isn’t responsible to help you find the guilty ones.. it seems like his helping out the guilty ones. Be aware to come to this gym take care of your belongings and if your not sure then don’t go to this gym because nobody will help you.

Not open 24 hours. They close 2-3am for cleaning. Not smart enough to update their listing. I asked for 5 min but was told I had to leave immediately cause the manager said he had to spray down the machines. It’s 5000 square feet. He can’t start at one end while I get 5 min to justify the drive?

I enjoy the cleanliness of the floor and restrooms. Front desk staff was also incredibly nice 😊

Just an advice please have employees not be on cell phone or texting.. not greeting guess while checking in.. night crew. .. i get if its breaks but common go to an office... only reason i post its because this the 5th time same person.

Nice PF, it is kept clean and the staff is nice. The Smith machines/ equipment needs to be lubricated from time to time because they stick quite a bit.

Improved bathrooms and black card area

This location of planet fitness our Thieves. Get a membership somewhere else. I have been getting doubled billed for two years now without even using my membership. I have tried to resolve this issue at the location with the manager but there was absolutely no customer service involved. Basically Im just screwed out of my money. In addition on the day when I canceled my membership they charge me for that month anyway. I have never felt so bamboozled in my life.

The only reason I give it a three-star is because they have very poor managing on the memberships they do not well inform you on how things are going to work they expect you to read everything which is expected but as an establishment they should inform you on how all the memberships work other than that it is a very amazing judge free zone the staff is amazing they work with you they inform you on your health your benefits and anything you need to do to work out Ive been coming here for about a year and I dont think I choose any other place this is the one and only place I feel comfortable where I wont feel judged thank you planet fitness for having an amazing place to work out

Very clean place. People are freindly.Their is a sign on exercise machines saying social distancing. On every other one.after I finish working out and leave the front desk says have a good day thank you very much.

Its the best value for the dollar in fitness. If you want to spend $40 or$50 each month, you can get a few more bells and whistles. But if you want a clean, quiet place to stay in shape, then this is it.

Staff is very good and equipment is in very good condition too. Only problem I have with this place is, they have deafening music on all the time. These days when everyone carries around their favorite music on phones around for use during workouts, what is the point of this overly loud music in the gym? Earlier staff used to dial it down when requested. Now they say that owner has taken away their ability to do so.

Great place to work out and not be bothered by the gym drama. Check it out, your missing out!

After being a member for 5 years, I went to this location to cancel my membership and the employees took it upon themselves to amend the contract verbally. The first employee I spoke with informed me of a $49.20 balance I had to clear before canceling - fine. I then presented a text message stating a $10 service fee would be waived if I presented the text message before July 31st - it was July 23rd. The employee refused to honor the waiver. Her explanation? I had already informed her of my intent to cancel my membership.Another employee - Im assuming the manager - then agreed that my service fee shouldnt be waived. She then started spewing out nonsense about a contract. Excuse me? Nowhere in that contract does it state that my service fee cant be honored if I tell you Im canceling - the employees made that up. That is NOT how a contract works. The second employee also threatened to attach a note to my account - whatever that means.I was being extremely patient considering I havent used any Planet Fitness in 5 months. I should have demanded that the entire $49.20 balance be waived but I simply wanted the $10 waiver honored.I returned 2 days later and the same employees were there and apparently they had changed their minds again. The manager started speaking to me as if I misunderstood what was going on and said I just had to pay $39.20 and then shell apply the $10. Thats all the employees had to do when I first went there but they decided to argue with me over $10.

This place is a dump, not sanitary at all. Save your time energy and money and don’t ever use planet fitness. They will ruin your health and continuously take money from your bank account. Even after you send them countless emails and they respond that they will stop... They still continuously charge you.

I like it at the begging but the staff at night is not welcoming at all. The form of how they deal the locker room cleaning is not the correct one. The ladies were cleaning inside while there were 4 other guys in the shower and I talked to them and they told me that they can do it and this was the second time. I think there has to be some training to the staff so they can know how to handle this situations. If the problem was the on the other side around me being a girl with two guys cleaning while I was taking a shower. However I know how this work, I had been working in different gyms and this is the first time I have this kind of problem

I called in July 2020 to cancel my membership. I was told I needed to go in-person to the club for that request, they said they could freeze it over the phone but I wanted the service terminated. Went to this club, asked to cancel the service, signed something and was told I was good to go. That was in July.Today I received an annual membership charge, i stopped by the club. The two ladies in the front, Bre & Josselyn, were not helpful at all. Were more condescending than anything. They told me a guy coworker froze my account. I mentioned I went in to cancel the service and that i could have frozen it over the phone if that what i wanted to do. They refused to help me further when I asked for more information. They told me to come around time to see if that person or the manager would be in, they would not help me further. I asked for some sort of email address or someway to contact someone else, they laughed it off. As I was leaving I asked to cancel the account, since thats what I wanted all along. They told, while chuckling to each other, that they couldnt cancel the account since it was frozen. They refused to cancel the account and told me to take it up with the manager although I was given no way to contact one. I told them I wanted the charge reversed and told me no. They only gave me a card with the club number and the managers name Shantel. But did not tell me how I could reach her.They were the worse. Please cancel and reverse all charges after July 2020.

Fair price for a gym membership. Place is very clean

I have been trying to contact ANYONE for 2 weeks about my payments! They’re charging me annual and monthly fees all well I’m trying to CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP! It’s as if the owners have disappeared because they cant seem to respond. I’m never one to write reviews unless it’s serious. I can’t even go to the gym and they’re charging me all the while.

The staff is very friendly! They gave us a few free passes when we first came (all other gyms were closed due to Covid) and that kept us coming back. After awhile, we started to like it better than our gym for a number of reasons. The equipment is new and sparkling clean, the gym is spacious with plenty of amenities and has all the equipment and more to play with. And primarily, we can tell PF really serves their customers. Our former gym often closed early, on holidays, and didnt inform their guests. I like that PF sends texts when there are changes, and tries to be fair to their customers and open for our convenience. Im thankful youve been open and keeping us healthy during the pandemic! I also like that you have locations in other places (just used the one in Minot, ND!).

We join Planet Fitness every time we visit the USA. They have a large selection of machines, free weights, and exercise areas. Our local place has tanning beds and massage chairs. This is a great guilt free gym.The staff are friendly and helpful. The place is clean and well maintained. My wife and I love it

Great gym! Planet Fitness has come a long way with features on their app, as well. Gym is clean, so no worries about getting COVID. Time to get back in the gym.

When you say you close at 9, close it at 9, not 8:45 pm. 15 minutes is a lot of workout time. Staff was really rude when I asked politely if I could complete a couple of workouts prior to closing time and kicked me out.I will be cancelling my membership next week.P.S: For people interested about whether members wear mask, there are about one or two for every 30 who do even after the mask rule given by the Governer. I personally dont care about it, but this information is for people who do.

They are taking good care of their gym, customers, and (From what it looks like) staff during the worst time. There is always someone cleaning. Covid-19 has not killed the staff’s great attitude. Highly recommend.

The staff at this location are very friendly and helpful. The place is SO clean! This is definitely the best west side location. The one in Katy has only one machine for several things that this one has two for. I really enjoy working out here!!!

The monthly fee was reinstated in July without notice. Nikki and Shantay refused to provide a refund from July until November. I couldnt cancel by phone nor email. I had to come in person.

The gym is OK it is a budget gym but has everything that you need. Here’s the problem. I’ve been trying to cancel service they said that I had to go in person to the gym to cancel. I told him I did not want to go inside a gym. But that was the only way to cancel. I messaged the company on Facebook and they told me that I could pay for a certified mail to cancel. I decided to go to the gym to cancel today to get it over with and then they said that their system is down and they cannot take cancellations. I said is there any other method they said no. Very very upset and I do not like how they are handling the cancellations at this time. Please cancel my service. I’ve also sent an email to [email protected] a few days ago no response.

You would think during a National Crisis, Planet Fitness would be understanding of hard times, but THEYRE NOT. I opened an account with them right before the spread of Covid and was laid off among the other millions in the world. Ive been locked out my account so I cant remove my card information thats on file. I have a newborn and wasnt comfortable being at the gym, so Ive been wanting to terminate my membership. I have yet to hear from anyone and Ive been charged with an annual fee and 3 other fees that were dire to my familys financial situation. I regret the day I started doing business with them.

The manager there has the best customer service I’ve seen in a very long time. She needs to be rewarded for how hard she works. She’s always smiling and greets you when you walk in and tells you bye when you leave.

New to this location. Not sure if I was just not seeing them but certain machines were missing. I was looking for the abduction machine and couldnt find it.

The gym smelled like old gym socks and sweat. The gym is small so the are not a lot of machines to workout on... gross gym!!

7.29.2020- Generally clean space and plenty of functional machines. Not making patrons follow COVID-19 guidelines for opening, if you are not a vocal person about needing your space you will be constantly in less than a foot away from another. Current hours are 12am to 9pm Monday through Friday, Saturday through Sunday 7am to 7am. They dont sanitize frequently, you sanitize after yourself and have to have a lot of personal responsibility to make this work in a healthy manner for you.

I havent worked out for 3 months because of covid. Ive been physically and emotionally suffering. Im currently moving into a new place in the heights with a gym so I wanted to check out this planet fitness. $20 wont break the bank. I currently pay almost $40 for tanning alone. Although its the closest to me its still like a 23 min drive. I was not going to join unless the gym was worth it for me to drive.Immediately when I walked in Deannas positive energy and helpfulness sealed the deal. She made it such a pleasant and comfortable experience for me. What an asset to the gym. I used to run my own small business and someone who comes to work like that each day is hard to come by and should be cherished. What a great staff. Love it already and its day 1!!!

Like the equipment feels like new. Ive never had an issues with this place and also i like how they now have security makes me feel safe. I have lost my air-pods case twice and both times the people there have turned them in the manager always looks so helpful i don’t know her name but she always has a smile i her face. I just wish they had the abs machines with the abs that are by the stretching area and kept the leg seat-press by the other legs machines by the windows.

It is a gym. ...staff at the desk are always nice and friendly. They now have an app for your phone where you can get in a class or go through what machines to use to work the body parts you want for that day

Liked going here because it was open late but not worth how they want you to do any changes to your account in person. Was going to freeze my account but ended up cancelling because of the customer service.

This club is very well run. The staff is always friendly and responsive. I am most impressed and have always been, even pre-COVID, at the clean environment that the staff works hard to maintain. I always see someone cleaning machines and maintaining the club. I moved back home to Houston from a small college town in Gainesville Florida. I used Planet Fitness there and I can personally say, that here in the 4th largest US city, this club in Springbranch far and away out performs the Gainesville club that was much smaller, and in what is supposed to be a smaller more friendly town. The staff there was not always friendly and the club was not as clean as this Springbranch location. I can say I am very happy with this location and will not be changing gyms as long as I am living in this area. Thank you!

I have been working out for over 40 years. Planet fitness is clean and the staff is always working. I have worked out in many gyms over the years and planet fitness is in the top.

Love PF gym, I have the black card and it makes it very easy to work out with my commute from Austin to Waco

The training classes completely shut down areas or machines in the gym for 30min up to hours at a time. So if you are unfortunate enough to show up during these classes you are S.O.L. on using whatever they are using unless you want to join and work at their pace. I do not. I usually have to change my planned workouts because machines or areas of the gym simply arent useable. Management and staff are very nice and help as much as they are able.

Very clean facility, good selection of machines and benefits for the price. Had a couple issues with price/payment early in, but it was straightened out.I’ll update the review if, and when, I ever cancel my membership and encounter any problems.

I never had a bad experience at planet fitness until today. I was a member until I canceled my membership months after my 12 year agreement. Now I signed up again today online and paid the start up fee which was only four dollars and some change. So I then proceed to go to my home gym in spring branch to get my black card and the gentleman at the desk tells me I have 2 months that I did not pay for plus late fees which resulted in over $70. He says the cancellation papers were either never done or were not turned in. Now I know I went there to cancel because I tried to cancel by phone and they told me I could only do it at that location or by written letter. This was very disappointing to me

Not crowded and great selection of equipment. Very economical if youre looking for an inexpensive workout.

This is the only Planet Fitness so far that does not fit my requirements. Equipment feel rusty, people dont clean after themselves, and the locker room are just a mess. The sinks dont even turn on until like 10 seconds later. And the energy in this place is so dull.

The manager and staff go above and beyond to treat you like family here. Thanks for making a traveler feel closer to home

Best staff plus good service you will ever have in here. I have been here for 2 years and i lost my key tag so many times that i could remember, but the Staffs are willingly to help me. And the Equipments are nice and clean.

Ive come to this gym a few times as it is close to work and each time Ive been throughly thoroughly disappointed. The first time was so crowded in had to wait for cardio machines. The most recent visit had me greeted with an over crowded gym. Unclean bathrooms and NO RUNNING WATER! I recommend skipping this location and finding one more suited for large volumes

It says it all over the reviews, THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY. The gentleman who signed me up apparently got my card number instead of account number, he’s now fired for not following the rules, how convenient. They had TWO of my credit cards on file. First one was renewed and had different number. They were charging my secondary card 5 days late on purpose to accumulate the late fee. What’s the point of you asking for a secondary card... Talk to the manager? I believe her name was Sherrika. She does not count with customer service skills whatsoever, and is extremely impolite and rude. Very different from any experience I’ve had at all corporate owned PF. Don’t waste your time here.

Please be aware that this business will make their best effort to steal your money. I wanted to cancel my membership due to the facility lack of cleanliness, horrible service and it being homeless individuals often using it as a place to shower. After I moved to the spring TX I had to go back to the club on 3 different occasions to cancel as they kept giving me the run around. It turns out they were giving me the run around so they would not have to cancel my membership until a $43 annual fee was drafted out of my account. The manager gave very poor customer service even after her employee admitted sending me away when I initially came in to cancel. I will definitely be reporting this business to the BBB and highly recommend staying away from this location.
