Came here for the first time and the gym is very clean when you first step in. The vibe is pretty solid and the space is small but does not seem crowded. They have all the equipment you need for a good workout as well. Christian the membership associate was very helpful and ready to answer any questions I needed. They were also very transparent about the joining fees, monthly dues, and annual fee.

Fraudulent company. Do not enroll at this gym because even though you cancel your service they will start charging you again even on a different credit card. I had to call in the bank and post a block on Fitness 19. If you have enrollment there please be careful with the owner of this gym. Billing fraud beware. Three months after canceling they charge arbitrary charges plus they find a new credit card and change again altering any detail to get charges. They are not to be trusted with your information.

Very small gym but also incredibly affordable. I havent had any issues with availability of the treadmill or various elliptical or stair climber machines when Ive been going (around 5p). Ive been focusing heavily on cardio workouts so cant really comment on the weights section. Staff doesnt hassle or bother me at all, I just sign in and go workout. No hard sell on individual workouts, no upsell nonsense, etc.Would like to see a little more cleaning of the machines after use. But its not a major problem but rarely see staff cleaning the machines (the people who used the machine could really help out here also!).We paid cash for our annual memberships so no issues with overcharging or credit card charges or access to bank accounts which was VERY nice. I recommend this approach.

Such a great price to work out here, and the machines are clean. The greeter was friendly and helpful too. I had an excellent workout, and it wasnt very crowded either.

Been taking my money for almost a year, I never go to that gym, i moved but they wanted me to go to the location and cancel the membership there. I say okay, I drive 1.5 hours to get there, they tried to make me stay, I finally get to cancel it. BUT surprise they charged mee again. DON’T GO THERE you can see other reviews, they all nice when enrolling but when you wanna cancel is all a big deal. Species gym, iron city gym, fitness 24, even planet fitness is a better option.

My husband was charged for saying he wanted to join over the phone even though he never went to the building. Then they said he had to cancel in person. I was like heck no! I have gone alone to this gym just to work out with my sister. Now that this corona thing is happening they charged me the yearly fee and the monthly fee and I haven’t been there in a month. Also i was trying call today to just cancel it altogether but there is no answer. There is no option on the website to email or get a hold of anybody. I really don’t want another charge if this place is closed. What should i do???

When I first came into fitness 19 Jan 2019 I was greeted with such enthusiasm with the front desk employees. All of the employees are so friendly and helpful and are willing to take the time to help you out or attend to your fitness goals and needs. The manager Daniel is so welcoming and understanding of each members individual needs. Their kids room is really fun for my 9 month old. If the room gets too crowded they will send employees to the back to help out. Not only the staff but even other members are so helpful and friendly. Fitness 19 is a home away from home and has been such an incredible experience for my family, and my fitness needs.

Been a member three years. Seen people come and go, and stopped going for about 1.25 yrs, but am back. The workers are nice and its gotten better in the last few years. Some machines are old, but useable. Trainers are nice. Not overly crowded, and they recognize you and some even call you by name. TVs, music, tanning and childcare. Reasonably priced and open everyday. Could stand a revamp and update on some machines, but its okay. Hymen, manger, is great and been there years. I train with Johnny, hes new there, but great, too- a master trainer. There are plenty of gyms around, but I like this one because its personable and close and I dont have to fight for machines, usually.

This great gym confirms that as a consumer you do not need to spend $30-$100 per month to get in shape and start feeling better asap. Worst example for you get what you pay for. The machinery selection is alright but everything else is perfect for the price.

Its a hot bed for coronavirus. People working out without masks and not wiping down equipment.

They have harassed me for six years via text message and phone calls to come back. I moved six years ago. For six years I have told them to delete my number, to never call again. And they still do it. If you give them your phone number, ever, for anything, they will harass you for life.

They keep charging even after you cancel their service. My wife was charged, got it reversed and then was charged again from a different location. Sad that they use this tactic.

I went with my friend in search of a new gym in our area that we might be interested in working out at. We go to Fitness 19. Upon arrival, the guy who greeted us seemed nice. But, as my friend and I were leaving, we told him we were going to take some time to discuss pricing of the membership, etc, over with our husbands and possibly come back and pay and signup. He became really rude with my friend and I and said no matter what we do we will never lose weight and called us fat pretty much, and started talking in a way that was unprofessional. Honestly took the fun out of my day of gym hunting, made me cry as well, and I definitely will not be considering this place ever.

Good value for the money. Nice trainers. Convenient locations.

The reviews about this gyms poor cancellation policy are true - they will claim you have a window of time after joining to decide if you want to cancel or not and then give you the run around when you wish to cancel during that time frame! I cancelled over the phone and no one told me I had to cancel in person for it to be valid. I was charged a week later and called only to find out I had to come sign a cancellation form which was news to me. After a month I have been charged 4 times even though I literally cancelled the day after I signed up. Today a girl had the nerve to call and tell me they were having issues charging my Visa on file! I asked to speak with corporate - I was told there is no corporate. The manager was conveniently on vacation. Oh, and all they could do for me was offer me a 6 month membership instead of a refund. Unacceptable! It shouldnt matter if I sign a form or not - cancelled means cancelled aka I am not using your service so stop charging me! It shouldnt be a fight. The customer service is terrible, the staff unprofessional, and the practices dishonest.Please, if you have experienced similar I urge you to file a complaint with the better business bureau otherwise they will continue acting like sore losers and mistreating those who cancel.

I have been faithfully paying Fitness 19 for a couple of years now, and enjoyed their facility. I recently moved away and contacted the business to cancel my membership due to my move. The lady on the phone understood, and said shed take care of it. Now a few weeks later, the business is harassing me daily with phone calls and texts (several a day, and sometimes several per minute) telling me they cant honor my earlier cancellation (more accurately, they are pretending they did not get it) and that I must fly back to Texas and cancel in person, and that they will continue to accumulate charges on my account until I do so. (The payments stopped when I changed my billing address when I moved.) This seems to be a recurring theme for these creeps.

I love this gym. Ive been a member to many others and this gym Im going to stay with. It is not fancy and if you are looking for classes or a pool than its not for you. However, It is clean.. The staff are great and Ive never had to wait for a machine. It has everything I need.

I am have been a member at Fitness 19 since 2009. I have lost weight, undergone rehab, and made many great memories in friends with the staff and members alike. Affordable, clean, convenient.

When with my kid to enrolled, the lady there very bad attitude. I told my kidddo to forget it. we went somewhere else. Fitness connections had an excellent service.

I received a flyer to sign up 0 down and $10 a month, which I thought was great. I called right away and spoke to Daniel the GM. (I had mentioned 2 of my friends are interested in signing up also) He informed me that Id need to go in to sign ppw, to officially be a member, he never mentioned when. Within one week he had blown up my phone (txt msgs) asking about my friends phone number, asking me if I wanted to sign up for extra classes. At this point Im kind of annoyed that hes texting and texting me, but I ignore it. So I do continue to gym shop and found a better gym 24HR Fitness. I decided to go into Fitness19 and cancel. (card on file so wanted to make sure nothing was going to be charged) Daniel did not want to even speak to me, as I explained to him I have not SIGNED anything yet, confirming membership, so I shouldnt be charged anything. He was not interested, did not care about anything I had to say. He stated that I had to pay the last month and needed to sign for it. I informed him that I am not signing anything, because I have not signed anything to begin with stating that I am a member. He says look at the text msgs, I told you that you had 7 days to come in and sign, its too late I pulled up txt msgs and I said WHERE did you say that? Its not here he said OH, YOU PROBABLY DELETED THEM! lmfaoooo WHATTTTTT, I said pull up your text msgs and lets compare .........Daniel is rude, and very pushy to sign up for this this and that. He is a rude individual, and is not fit for customer service industry.

Fitness 19s website claims to have a cancel-anytime membership policy, but when I tried to cancel my long-term membership, a few days after being billed, I was told I would get 1 more bill (for a month I wasnt going to use). But when the bill came it was for TRIPLE my normal membership rate $60 instead of $20). Fitness 19s web site does not even have a way to contact the organization to file complaints against their individual franchise locations. The only way these kinds of places will stop treating former customers like dirt is if we as consumers take a stand. We will not tolerate this kind of post-service abuse!

Dont go to this gym, theyre just interested in the money. I felt ripped off when I wasnt allowed to cancel on the phone, then I made the cancellation and was charged another month. and finally, I was further debited the yearly membership without authorization (when I had already cancelled a month ago). Theyre thieves.

Very satisfied for what it is: a gym with plenty of equipment at a low cost. If you want a bunch of extras, go to another gym and pay 10x more a month. If you want a place to get in, work out, get going, then this is it. Works for me.

Good amount of equipment for being in a shopping center suite. Getting ridiculously overcrowded though, and there is no room for expansion in their current location. Its almost to the point I only work out on weekends, seeing how I work days. Cant speak for weekday mornings, but most evenings I end up throwing in the towel halfway into a workout.

We are members here and really enjoy working out here.

Stay away from this place at all costs. These people are nothing but bunch of greedy animals who are after your money. I cancelled my back in May. I specifically went to the place, & spoke to the manager and told him to cancel my membership. I gave him all the paperwork that he asked for. Now, after 4 months later, these scumbags are still charging me. This place deserve to be shut down.

Dont give them your credit card, I cancelled my membership and 2 years later they started charging $52.00 a month on my card. When I called them they said they didnt know what I was talking about.Update: Now they tried to charge me $323.00 and the bank fraud department called me and blocked it. This business is a credit card fraud operation disguised as a gym. My membership has been cancelled for 2.5 years now. I dont even live in Houston anymore.

Im in college so I dont have money to begin with and the double charged my card and say they cant refund the money because they cant authorize it if its already been processed. DO NOT GO HERE if you want to keep what little money you have. The staff is rude and they are all playing you.

All the negative reviews are true!! Unless you want to be tied to a lifetime contract (because thats what it feels like) then DONT sign up here! They make it impossible to cancel your membership even if you call promptly. And now they wont stop calling me or texting me to pay (even though Ive tried cancelling) and they even have threatened to send my bill to collections (a hilarious bluff on their part because my account isnt even tied to my SSN). I am cancelling my card so that they cant bill me anymore.

Weve been going to Fitness19 for about four years now. The price is right and we get a great early morning workout four times a week.

Crammed with equipment and rude staff. There is hardly enough room to walk around and get from place to place. The equipment is really nice however its not cleaned regularly and free weighs are scattered all over the place with no real organization. As for the people complaining about hidden fees... they are not hidden, you just really need to ask qood questions and above all READ YOUR CONTRACT BEFORE SIGNING. As for the prices, you truly are getting what you pay for at $5 to $15 per month. Rude and inexperienced trainers and staff, thight workspaces, and bare-bones amenities.Due to the prices at this gym tou see a lot of high school and college students, which isnt a problem... until its a problem if you know what I mean. I honestly dont understand how this place remains open with such poor quality to offer. My advice is to spend a little bit more money and go to LA Fitness.
