Youth Reach Houston... I was a tenant of Youth Reach Houston back in the 90s, and I attribute my being there to the person that I have become today. I had an advantage/disadvantage when I went to Youth Reach as I knew everyone there (tenants and staff) already as they went to the same Church as my Family. Woodforest Baptist Church. Curt had a special way to deal with this situation and he did a good job as to not allow me any favors or perks for this previous, relationship if you will. I completed my time with Youth Reach and returned home not a perfect kid, but with a better understanding of my own responsibilities as my own person and the tools to help me get there. Curt has always been there for me ever since and would do everything in his power to help me and everyone that he has ever met and tons that he hasnt. Curt and the work that he has done with Youth Reach is nothing short of a Miracle. I would recommend that any parent with a troubled teen seek out Youth Reach for help... that is if both parent and teen want help and to get on the right track in life!

Youthreach helped me in so many ways. I was heading down the wrong path and by the grace of GOD they took me in. Saved my life and gave me the foundation to turn my life around. Thank you to the staff for all their wisdom I am so blessed to have gone through this program.

Youth-Reach Houston is an absolute beacon of the light of the Gospel of Christ for the city of Houston and has been for decades. Boys toeing the edge of legal and moral disaster are taken in, loved unconditionally, taught personal responsibility, work ethic, integrity, and the moral and Biblical foundations for a meaningful Christian life. They then graduate and go on to become contributing members of society and, perhaps more importantly, good husbands and loving fathers as Christ’s redemptive work ripples through generations in and through this wonderful ministry and its faithful staff.As a former resident myself, I can truly say that I felt wholly accepted and loved, deeply challenged, and consistently encouraged during my 8 months in the program and that I have been forever impacted by the love of this godly community of people who were merely strangers without ulterior motives when I first arrived. The staff love these young men because God first loved them and they demonstrate this love by long hours of service for low pay, endless generosity and kindness, and the kind of uncompromising character that I can only associate with those who closely follow Jesus.Although I cannot claim to have graduated from this wonderful program, I sincerely wish that I had and I encourage all young men in it to take advantage of the insular environment of YRH, the opportunity for some one-on-one time with God without distractions, the hard-fought wisdom of the staff gained through many years of ministry, and the opportunity to just flat-out push a ‘reset button’ on your life before true adulthood, and all of its problems and challenges, begins in earnest. Despite being kicked out, I have maintained a close relationship with Curt Williams over the years and have kept in touch with several other staff as well—all a true blessing.Disclaimer:DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE if you do not want them to believe in God, improve the trajectory of their lives, stay out of prison, hold down a job, or have a more meaningful life in community with and in service of others. ... Okay, actually, do send them even if you don’t want those things, for whatever bizarre reason, but just stand by to be disappointed and bitter! (But, I digress)

This place is stellar!!! Turned my brother’s life completely around. You won’t find more upstanding people than the ones who run Youth Reach

This place great impacted my cousins life for the better and is all about directing young men towards the gospel and helping them become Godly men

Youth-Reach is doing much in the community and has helped hundreds of young men overcome their pasts. This Christ-Focused ministry is all about using the Gospel to transform lives.

As someone who once was a questionable character who was brought into and completed this program, I can honestly say YRH was and is a great place for lost youth! I spent a year in the program and learned so much both relevant to my spiritual life and every day life that i have continued to use 18yrs later! I still keep in touch with Curt Williams, though not as often as i should or would like to, and am always greeted with hey son to this day!I learned what hard work and appreciation is and i also learned what being a father/son/ brother means as well. My kids have been to YRH to visit and hopefully we will be able to continue to visit every year!

The youth dont quite reach their mommys, I suppose... Not that mommys matter.
