Amazing agency they have always done good work for the youth and families in the community. They always lend a hand to help, when I opened my shelter, they was the first to assist us in getting it up and running. In this line of work there will be crabs in the bucket . They will get blackballed so that they cannot slander another agency, THIS IS TEXAS.... because they didnt want to show up for work..... lol She said it in her own statement. To my mentors and trusted allies understand this Mr. and Mrs. Ware the whole city got your back, we all know you are all in when it comes to the children, to your staff, and to your families and we got your back!!!

Caution!!! Don’t interview here!!!!The agency is very poorly ran by a married couple that brings their issues into the office. Has arguments and words with each other in front of staff. Approved time off for me and in the end held it against me and promised bonuses that were never received. The agency is currently on heightened monitoring with the State and licensing of Texas, because of deficiencies over several years. They falsify documentation, make up fake paperwork such as home visit forms, foster parent paperwork, training certificates, when needed to meet minimum standards when heightened monitoring does visiting, forge foster parents and foster children’s signatures on documents a lot, very unorganized, high staff turnover, incompetent leadership, saves confidential information of the foster parents and children on thumb drives that are taken outside of the agency by staff, allowing for the potential risk of breaching confidentiality, tells foster parents what they like to hear and ignores requests from foster parents about 30 day removals, requests for resources and such.I am a 26 year veteran teacher from Illinois and just started in the Foster Care field ( within last 4 years) and if you are looking for a rewarding, positive environment, organization, and get a feeling of appreciation for your hard work DON’ T APPLY HERE!!

If you’re proactive about getting things done in a timely fashion, and professionally this CPA is NOT A GOOD CHOICE. This company does not comply with minimum standards, and does not properly communicate with their parents. They do not offer many trainings, they also have a hard time being honest about info that’s communicated. I’m currently trying to transfer and they still have not sent over the requested documents for whatever their reason is. They had 14 days to do so. My info request was sent 7/1/19 and here it is 7/24/19 and they still have not sent my information. It is state law/ minimum standards to send over All requested documents to all requesting agencies, which Ascension has not. Both Mr. & Mrs. ware have ignored every single text message that I have sent with my concerns, nor have they replied to any of my emails. Hopefully upon my arrival to the agency I’ll get lucky and get the info that has been requested, and can’t seem to retrieved. Again, this agency has ALOT of work to do, and I wouldn’t recommend this agency to my worst enemy. Now let me make myself clear. (Replying to Ascensions Rep. 8/7/19) My reason for leaving the other agencies in which 3 are currently closed down & one of the 3 you helped me get away from by coaching me step by step in what to do MRS. WARE because at that time you were their foster home developer, ( Jameson Center aka The Children’s Center/ Ms. Bennett case manager) whom at that time had forged my signature... and because they were doing the same things Ascension is doing besides forging is bad communication, not submitting paperwork in a timely manner, which has happened on several occasions, and mishandling reimbursements. The HONEST & REAL reason for me leaving!!!! You had absolutely no problem with opening me up quickly to have me on your team since I’ve been known to be an excellent foster parent with certificates from other agencies to prove it. ( Foster parent of the year 2017)Now that Ascension is out for blood! The Wares ( Ascension’s director) have had a guy that they’ve recently hired to walk through my home when a quarterly had already been conducted in June out of spite. Mr. Ware also sent me a text 7/19 begging me to stay with Ascension, and he also stated how good of a foster parent I am and was willing to do anything to keep me. So don’t you go chasing waterfalls. Instead listen to the rivers and the lakes that they’re use to. Be blessed and do better as a whole, & maybe your families will stay after dropping like flies...... You’re welcome!!!

Excellent agency! We have been with them since the beginning. Prior to Ascensions we had been with CPS, Depelchin, and Jameson and fostered a combined total of 30+ years and been Foster parent of the year not once but four times . So we have had experience with other agencies, there is no agency that is perfect but there are agencies that strive to always do the right thing. Mr and Mrs. Ware do just that, by assisting the children in every aspect of their lives from education, social and even personally assisting with extracurricular activities like cheer, football, camps, tutoring services . As far as foster parent support, what agency can you call the director 24/7 and get assistance ? What agency can you call to ask for transportation assistance and get help ? or how about immediate respite. Ascensions has helped us in all these situations without complaint or hostility. Unlike other agencies we have dealt with. If you are looking for a good, honest agency from the heart this is it.

I recently just left the Ascension Family.I thank God for the decision that I made on my separation from this agency. I would NOT recommend this agency to anyone. Especially a new parent whos just coming into fostering. I was very upset and still upset with my decision that I made to leave Houston Serenity CPA, for Ascension.I honestly did not like the way how two of my kids were being mistreated. It was times that I had spoken to Mr.Ware, on several different occasions on the favoritisms that his staff and him displayed to another child that was in my home at the time. I learned that the child had been placed in almost every home within The Ascension agency. I’m guessing my home was the final resort for the child and for the money to roll in for the agency. I did request a thirty day removal, after noticing some odd behaviors that the child displayed after having her for after 45 days or so in my home. The notice of removal, I later found out was REJECTED by both of the Wares. I came to both Mr. and Mrs. Wares on several different occasions and asked about the child being removed. I even went and sat down with Mrs. Ware and I was also told by Mrs. Ware and I quote” I’ll remove the child when I think you’ve had enough.” I was upset and knew then it was time to GO.As a CPA, Ascension, is horrible at knowing and which they should know that NO CHILD IS DIFFERENT FROM THE NEXT, these kids should all be treated EQUALLY! I’m a firm believer, and I will stick behind this belief FOREVER. Second on an unprofessional note from the Wares.I was Called into the office for a meeting. I had received a text from Mr. Ware, asking” was I in Miami.” When I received a message from Mr.Ware, stating “ be prepared for an unannounced.” I replied “ okay.” I did not like the fact that Everyone attended this meeting, including the front desk help. It was totally UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE. Especially, for Mr.Ware to say” I was trying to take his business down.”All behind FASLE information that he had received from another foster parent that was later charged with a felony.

- Part Two:The parent was worried about how I was taking Lavish trips, and she felt that apparently I was not doing anything for my kids. Which was a BOLD LIE, and if The Wares felt that way, Trust me I would have known and other parents would have known about the mistreatments. This information was passed down by an Ascension parent who was later featured on Eyewitness news for the “ sonic burger” and “medical” fraud .When both Mr.and Mrs.Ware learned about the FALSE information that was passed down by this parent. Neither one of them apologize for the humiliation they brought upon me. Instead when Mr.Ware learned of my transfer, that’s when I started to get the “apologies”the “ you’re a great parent” & “ we don’t want to lose you or your home” speech. But it was not from Mrs.Ware, it was all from Mr.Ware. I know if I would have stayed I would have been a TARGET and I KNOW FOR A FACT they would have not stopped until they had got to CLOSED me down, but God had other plans and spoke to me and told me “ to remove myself ” from the situation. I know there are seasonal and veteran parents. I have been only been fostering for only two and half years. I have been with different agencies, but I have never seen an Agency like this.I love helping kids and making a difference. When I started with the Wares, I explained to Mr.Ware, my expectations of his agency & how I did not want to move again. When it comes to Communication skills. All I can say is Horrible ! Mrs.Ware, will not believe her parents who actually cares about the kids, but will believe the parents who’s only in this for money. Also, Mrs.Ware, you definitely need to work harder on your TONE and how you speak to your parents.One day there will be a parent that will go toe to toe with you & will not care about your Knowledge and your title.Per minimum standards and you, when I was with you guys, I had two leveled kids in my home. Neither one of My leveled kids received their two monthly visit.Which I didn’t receive a visit.Until, you guys learned of me transferring. Both my level kids only received one visit in the month of August, when you guys did come out. My caseworker tried to request at the last minute to change the home visit time. Which I could not change, nor did she bother to call or text me that she could not make it for the visit. Which once again brings us back to the LACK OF COMMUNICATION WITH PARENTS.Mrs.Ware would actually have a Great CPA, but not allowing your parents to have any communication with one another, nor do you like receive the parents feedback its only hurting your agency, your bond with your families, and as a SUPERIOR it makes you look SAD. As far as Mr.Ware, I understand that you motto is “ for the kids”, but if you’re “for the kids”you should have your parents back if they are wanting to submit a 30 day notice in for the child, after they have giving their all with the child, Mr.Ware, you as the “chief command,” should stand behind the parent(s), and their decision. The child will only act out more. If the parent(s) is asking for their “ higher superior” for help. Especially, a new parent, don’t just brush the parent off. Help them on their request to remove a child out their home, it should not be about money. But the well-being of the of the child, the child peers, foster parent, and home. Not every child can receive help & not all money is good money. Especially, when it comes to your business, homes and you losing parents.As a CPA, you should stand behind the parents judgement, it will also benefit you from Losing homes & parents. Its a shame, I dont know these two parents that responded negatively. But, I know ACFS we been with them for a year they are the best, alway about the kids and giving them a good life all of them . The Directors are Always professional, always supportive, always personable . Now about the other comment I know that the trae person had a child that was leveled up, by that I mean documented behaviors. She didnt have a problem with the children when she was getting those checks and taking trips. She had a problem when they question her on it. That child had issues and you drag them on social media, that shows your character. SHAME ON YOU! I believe I saw your children enjoying every event and function. As foster parents we know what to expect and we dont return children like buying groceries at a walmart. For us the real ones we know the deal with you and saw right through when they bought you on. Thats why when you was calling around trying to get respite for your extravagant trips we all turned our back on you. Thats when you started mess, and we closed our doors on you and what you are about. Ascension is good without your kind of garbage, It aint never been about money with them, Ascensions is a family and they spend more on the foster kids than any other agency I know. Mr. Ware pays registration fees and all kinds of things out his own pocket we THE REAL ONES have always seen that, and know that . So, please take your mess elsewhere.
