Clayton was very knowledgeable and informative. He was very technically proficient as well. Of all the inspections I have had in conjunction with home purchases, this was by far the best experience. I appreciate the dogged effort to find every and any discrepancies. Would highly recommend HouseCheck and specifically Clayton! Thank you!

Further update: It has been weeks since we reached out (multiple times) and asked for the refund we were promised. They have not responded at all and it is becoming clear there likely will be no response.Update: you may have noticed that Brad replied below to my review. I reached out to him with my concerns and what I wanted done and he has not replied or attempted to contact me in regards to the matter, furthering what I’ve stated below.HouseCheck is an untrustworthy and dishonest company. Not only did they promise to provide us with a comprehensive inspection for our first home,  they said that we could have complete peace of mind knowing that we were taken care of. Fast forward two months when we discovered a hole in our roof. My house was turned into a chaotic mess with concrete floors, flood cuts in the wall, and a beam that needed to be fixed because the problem had been so extensive, it had rotted. We called HouseCheck hoping they would help. Our inspector, David Moore, returned to inspect the damage. Right away, he started to argue that the hole wasnt visible and that our mitigation company had moved insulation to access it. I showed him the images I had taken the day we found it and he continued to argue even before he looked at it again. This lie followed us all the way up the chain. We were passed along to the area manager, Brad B, who not only continued to assert that David wouldn’t have been able to find the hole, but also assured us it would be passed along to E and O Insurance. We get a brief respite from our stress only to be passed along again. We next spoke with DJ who told us our claim hadn’t, in fact, been sent to E and O because (you guessed it) David couldn’t have seen it. He even went so far to tell us he would send it but that they would just tell us the same thing. It felt like more of a threat than a word of wisdom.Weve been in this battle with them for months now over this issue. My house isnt fixed and HouseCheck continues to be unable or unwilling to listen to us as their customers.I feel disrespected and disheartened. It didn’t matter how much I tried to communicate clearly, my words were twisted in order to cover themselves. You would think that a company that touts such quality and service would step in when we needed them most. The biggest issue isnt even that they made a mistake, its that they wont own up to it. Their communications have been untruthful, confusing, and frustrating. If you are looking for a company to do the right thing, actually ensure your home is ready to move in to, or act even somewhat ethically, go elsewhere. All you will find here are individuals who do more to protect themselves and bury their mistakes than they will ever do to care for their customers.Below I have included an image of the hole as it was seen by us the day we found the problem.

I was referred to HouseCheck by a friend. We used them for a pre-purchase inspection. Mr. Jerry Arnold was our inspector. I was able to have a appointment within 3 days of calling and Mr. Arnold was prompt, very professional and very kind. We were at the house while he did the inspection and he explained everything that he found (thankfully not much at all!).Danielle was the sweet young lady that I spoke with when I made the appointment. She was very kind and courteous.I will absolutely recommend this company.

I was very pleased with the quality of service I received. David Moore was very professional, thorough and patient throughout the entire process. He took all the time I needed to explain everything and answer every single question I had. He made sure I understood each aspect. I really appreciated it all. It allowed me to make a decision that was best for me. I definitely look forward to working with him again in the future and recommending him and House Check to anyone who is in need of service. Kayla was also very professional and thorough with me. When there was a busted pipe due to the recent floods and a broken water meter, the home couldnt be inspected as scheduled. They were even nice enough to reschedule when everything was ready and even waived the reschedule fee. Thanks a million.

Robert Saji is very knowledgeable and professional. He was punctual and answered any questions I had. The home inspection was thorough and I highly recommend him. Definitely worth every penny if you’re wanting to get a thorough comprehensive inspection that’s 100% honest.

UPDATE: We have already reached out to Brad as he requested below and this is what happened: Brad and other individual within the company stated that they would file an E and O insurance claim on our behalf. Last week they informed us that they are not going to follow through on this agreement and the only thing they will do is refund the inspection fee (~$400). Seeing as though the damage is $11,000, this is not acceptable. Since this they have stopped responding to us.HouseCheck neglected to provide us with a proper inspection rendering us with over $11,000 in damages after a month of our closing date. We have had three professionals two roofers and our insurance adjusted that have stated this was pre-existing and should have been noted upon inspection. We also have photos to show that this was visible and not hidden when the inspection took place.Weve been in this battle with them for months now over this issue. Our house still is not fixed and HouseCheck continues to be unable or unwilling to listen to us as their customers. We have been in contact with our inspector, the area manager, and the director of claims for the entire company. As of the time of this email both the area manager and director of claims have failed to respond to our most recent email and resolve issue. What’s laughable is that on their website they make so many claims backing their work but as you can evidently see in our case this is the furthest from the truth. Protect your house by staying away from this company.

Jerry Arnold conducted pre-buy inspection. He was very thorough, the report was detailed and was delivered 12 hours after inspection was complete which was 12 hours quicker than he promise. I would definitely recommend.

Fabulous job! We needed a thorough home inspection prior to purchase, and David Moore did an incredible job, providing pictures of each of the areas and delineating what the problem was and recommended action. The inspection took approximately 5 1/2 hours, and the report was 56 pages long, including a three page summary at the end which was useful in negotiations.

The inspection performed by House Check was extremely thorough and helped us truly understand the condition of the home we had put an offer on. My husband was able to walk the property along with the inspector and we both felt that he did a great job evaluating the property.

Very comprehensive household inspection covering all appurtenances and systems and structures. The added use of infrared imaging as part of the inspection added a great deal of value in diagnostics of system performance and highlighted particular issues for attention and resolution. Very prompt service and high quality, including producing the full report in the same day - excellent.
