I wanted to take a moment to recognize one of my favorite Houston small businesses - General Academic. My kids have been going here for years and this place has been incredible. Its gotten us through 3 ISEEs, Spanish, math tests, projects, you name it! General Academic tutors are of the highest quality and the flexibility they offer to work with our hectic schedule is fantastic. Thanks General Academic!

My son has enjoyed his tutoring services with Martavius, normally its like pulling teeth to get him to see a tutor, but he goes without any pushback. Very happy with General Academic and the services we have gotten there.

General Academic worked with our schedule to create a study plan for the upper level ISEE for my son. His one-on-one tutor was incredibly effective in preparing my son for the exam.

My daughter has had a very positive experience with the study lounge. The cost is reasonable and the instructors are responsive to her questions. She has seen an improvement in her grades since going there. Most importantly, she seems to have a better comprehension of the material than before.

We have used General Academic for both of my daughters for ISEE prep for high school applications and now for my Junior daughter for PSAT and SAT prep. We have been very pleased with their tutors and they do a great job matching their tutors to your childs needs. Highly recommend!

Would not recommend. On a Friday I made a reservation for extra help for my son in AP Calculus. I was assured more than one tutor would be available the next day to help him. We showed up only to be informed there was no one in who was knowledgeable in calculus. So disappointed. Try finding a tutor on a Saturday afternoon or Sunday. Had I known on that Friday...I could have made other arrangements.

Miracles do happen. My daughter attended tutorials to address her weakest ACT area - science. She jumped from the 72nd to the 94th percentile. Her tutor was amazing in decreasing her anxiety and increasing her skill level.

Thank you for helping our Boys on the ISEE test. Will definitely come back for PSAT and SAT.
