I initially had a good experience with this company. The rep (Anthony) was responsive and talked me through the process. I was told to expect about $500-600 for the problem I was having based on my hardware. The shipping and diagnostic was free so why not? I sent my computer, took over a week to hear back, and the quote was over $2900. About 6 times more than I was told to expect. Company wouldnt budge on the price, which is fine, but they charged me $30 to get my computer back. There was a lot of talk about free shipping and free diagnostics, but no talk about paying for return shipping if you decline their quote which is 6x more than expected. If this company was serious about value and their customers, they would have covered the return fee and not tried to lure me in with promises of a fair price. I hope your experience is better.

Scott McMacken was of great help during this nerve wrecking journey ! I was so scared I was not going to be able to recover all my files from my corrupted WD 1TB hard drive but Scott helped answer all my questions along the way. Secure Data is pricer than others, but after several failed attempts it appears you get what you pay for. I worked with Anna and she explained the entire process and helped me pick the best options. As an individual and not a celebrity I really appreciate her not pushing unnecessary costs. I wish I would’ve found Anna and Secure Data months ago.

Took my external hard drive to try to get data recovered. Number 1 they ship it out to a different state so you’ll need to wait 2 or more weeks. Also after they told me it would be $3,500 to fix I asked for it back... tech didn’t have the professionalism to put the thing back together like it was. Half open and port not aligned. Wow prob messed it up more. Go elsewhere people. Not worth it. On my way to geek squad!

I cannot tell you how grateful I am for the help of Jake and the Secure Data Recovery team. I thought i had backed up my SD Card but I could not find it anywhere.
