I needed a 7-1/8 x 11 envelope delivered from a residence in NW Houston to a business in downtown Houston the following day, so at around 5:15 the evening before last, I phoned various places to determine the cost of doing so.I was quoted everywhere between $28.00 to $48.00, with yet another place quoting $82.00 (WHAT? Lol). I decided on Capital Couriers, at a cost of $35.00, because they were located in downtown so I figured they had experience with the procedures at the office buildings there, plus the $28.00 place could not pick up until later the next day, and I wanted the certainty of having enough time to deal with any complications should any arise.The next day the driver arrived fifteen minutes earlier than the scheduled 9:00 a.m. pick-up time, which I did not mind at all. I received a call that he was at my house, we gave him the envelope and he handed us our receipt.While I had not specifically requested a hot-shot or under-one-hour delivery, at 10:00 a.m. I phoned Capital Couriers just to be certain everything was running smoothly, and they informed me that the driver had apparently already delivered it. At 10:30 a.m. I phoned the recipient, they checked, and the envelope had indeed arrived at around 9:45.Very pleased and thankful for a smooth transaction. Would recommend.
