I had my bridal dress altered. It was actually the smoothest part of my wedding planning, which is saying a lot! She is a perfectionist and takes great pride in her work and it shows. She even made amazing tiered veil and a bridal mask for me to wear on my wedding day. I can’t speak highly enough to this experience. She was so kind and quick to get my dress done under a short time crunch. I highly recommend.

I found out after I developed some of the photos from my bridal portraits photo shoot, that the bust part of the dress was loose and not snug enough. Unfortunately, by that time I had about a week until my wedding day. Thankfully, my hair stylist referred me to Monica and I was able to get my dress fitted tighter within 2 days. I came to her with a very difficult and intricate wedding gown and she exceeded my expectations! She always assured me that my vision would come to life and she made sure it happened. Not only did she do a phenomenal job on my dress she also did my bridesmaids gowns exactly how I wanted them as well as my mother’s dress for the wedding - all of which were AMAZING. I had to make last minute alterations to my wedding dress because my first seamstress was negligent and did a very slap dash job taking in my dress inappropriately, so I called Monica in a panic and she told me to come right in. Monica fixed EVERYTHING that the first seamstress had done wrong and she couldnt have been more amazing to work with! She is a perfectionist and she had my trumpet style wedding dress fitting me like a second skin! I cant recommend her enough. Monica is the real deal! For our 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration, I wanted to wear something that really reflected my personality, something stylish, carefree, yet quality. I found a photo of the perfect linen dress and took it to Monica. MONICA MADE IT! The dress is a sheath, but with every detail I described. The jacket was the star, with a boat neckline, pleated front and sleeves fit for an angel! Monica made the jacket lay just right! All of the raving reviews about her are true. Monica is a PRO with both skill and creativity. Add to that her sweet personality and you have a priceless combination! I would highly recommend STITCHES COUTURE HOUSTON!

A friend of mine recommended this establishment. She purchased her wedding ensemble from Stitches Couture. It was simply beautiful and well made. It was tailored to fit her body. I met with the owner Monica and we went to purchase the fabric. Monica made the dress and the fabric was not complimentary of my body. Her craftsmanship was beautiful and detailed. The material had a large amount t of spandex and I am tall, curvy, and have some things I would like to conceal. As a bride that was stressed out from wedding planning and juggling that with everyday life/work, when I tried on the dress I began to weep. I left Monicas shop and then came back after her reassuring me that it would be OK. I returned to the shop on a whim, and Monica stated that she was going to buy new fabric for my dress and start over on my dress. She stated that my dress would be ready in plenty of time. Monica went on her own and purchased material for no additional charge and made me the wedding dress of my dreams. I am forever grateful for her making my wedding day such a beautiful and blessed event. She did not want money in exchange for her selflessness, she just asked me to always remember her in prayer. Monica displayed some of the best customer service that I have ever received. She has a customer for life in me. Additionally I purchased some African print skirts from Monica as well they are beautiful / gorgeous. I received so many compliments on everything that she has made for me. I truly am pleased with everything Monica did for me. She took out time to make sure I was completely satisfied. Monica and her daughter are class acts.

Stitches Couture is a great find! I have been there 4 times and every single time the work exceeds my expectations. I intend to be a longtime customer.Monica, the owner, is very kind and has always been attentive to me when I need alterations done. I once took in a pair of shorts that had been previously altered, but not very well, and she completely repaired the shoddy work and did not charge me anything extra. I am also impressed by the speed at which she completes my alterations. She typically has things ready the day after I drop them off. This amazes me because I usually have waited a week or more to have my alterations completed.I would, without hesitation, recommend Monica and her shop, Stitches Couture, to my friends and family.

I had never met Monica nor heard of her work a day in my life but I trusted the recommendation I was given. My daughter drew out a complicated prom dress that ultimately required hours of handstitching and Monica did not fail us!! Two other dress designers wouldnt even touch or attempt to create my daughters dress due to fear off messing up the appliqué. Monica created this dress so beautifully, that it left my daughter and myself in tears. She is a perfectionist and a hard worker, with an eye for detail.
