I couldnt afford $325-$350 to change my natural gas fireplace (all I have are fake logs and gravel) back to woodburning. I just assumed it would be changing out to a different igniter but I guess theres more to it.

I had some issues with a dryer vent pipe which have been resolved. Todd, the owner, stepped up and took direct charge of the situation. If there were a textbook example of turning around a situation this would be it. I was able to get someone out quickly to inspect and clean our fireplace and chimney. The service person was efficient and informative. When I decided to get a new gas log set, they quickly helped me look at the options and pick the correct sized and style for my fireplace. That installation was done within days and now I have a nice working fireplace! I would definitely recommend them.

Chimney CleaningWe all know keeping a chimney free of soot and creosote is a good thing, but in the temperate weather of Texas, we just forget. Harkey’s cleaned my chimney in March, and they were efficient and professional. They confirmed the appointment a few days before, and the technician called while on his way – very courteous and considerate! He laid a tarp down around the hearth, and covered the area in plastic sheeting to eliminate the soot escaping into the room. The whole job was done quickly and cleanly. With the chimney clean, the fireplace is like new! It draws better than ever before. I would recommend getting your chimney cleaned with Harkeys.Dryer vent cleaningIt is recommended that the clothes dryer vent be cleaned professionally once a year. Therefore, I scheduled an appointment with Harkey’s. They were efficient and professional. They confirmed the appointment a few days before, and the technician called while on his way – very courteous and considerate! Also, they repositioned the dryer vent hose for better performance. The lint in that hose was truly impressive! Not only do I feel safer with a potential fire risk removed, my dryer performance has improved about 80%. I would recommend getting your dryer vent cleaned every year with Harkeys.
