This review is for the repair, restoration & cleaning of an antique Heriz rug. To say that we were impressed in an understatement. From the fantastic customer service to their extensive knowledge on rug history, these guys really know they’re stuff. The pictures speak for themselves. All four sides were unraveling and the corner was damaged because our lab chewed it. Look at it now! We were truly shocked how amazing it looks. Thank you to Mr. Sam Abraham, Arun, and everyone at Abraham’s who cared for our family’s rug and helped bring it back to life!

I took a 16 x 3 Persian wool runner which had water damage that led to bleeding and some discoloration in a large spot of the rug.Mr and Mrs Abraham could not have been more professional in explaining the process for removing the stain . It now looks as good as it did originally. They have been in business a long time and several of my neighbors have used them for repairs and purchase of new rugs.

Long overdue review--accidentally posted on the wrong business! This was from November 2020:I absolutely recommend Abrahams Oriental Rugs. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!My rug was less than week old when disaster struck and beer was spilled on it. In my haste, I sprayed Clorox on it and scrubbed (HUGE MISTAKE--hindsight is always 2020). Not only did I discolor the new rug, I also ruined the texture in that spot.Needless to say, I was broken and disappointed. I took the rug to Baghdad in desperation and thankfully, I met Sam. He informed me that he could help repair the rug, but more importantly, he was so kind. I got my rug back a few days later and you can hardly even tell where the spot was!! He fixed the color and texture. I will be forever grateful for Sam and will tell everyone about him!

We are so pleased with our 3 by 12 ft runner that we purchased from Abrahams Oriental Rugs. The quality of the runner far exceeds our expectations and certainly was worth the price paid. We do not live in the area therefore all communication with Sam was through emails and phone calls. The runner was packaged and shipped. It arrived on time and in perfect shape! We will be using Abrahams Oriental Rugs again in the near future. We highly recommend Abrahams Oriental Rugs!

I recently had the pleasant experience of asking Abrahams to clean two very valuable Oriental Carpets for us. It was a great experience, starting with the two people who picked them up to the quality cleaning of the rugs and the professional installation. I also bought pads for both carpets that should help them last longer.. I was nervous and had always feared cleaning them, expecting them to come back, faded and unrecognizable, but Mr. Abraham and his quality employees did a professional cleaning plus repairing some of the damaged fringes. All very reasonable prices. Now the rugs look like that they used to look, with the vivid colors back. Thank you for a great experience.

We bought an 8 x 10 contemporary rug. I had certain ideas in my mind — wanted to pay only a modest price for this rug due the area it would be in my house, certain colors in mind, etc. I called the store and they assured me there were several choices in light colors and in my price range. I visited fairly quickly after the call and found very good choices. I selected the most suitable one, and it fits very well for what I needed. Excellent, courteous service, competitive and reasonably priced, high quality rugs. Will be back for my next rug and happy to recommend.

We are so happy we found this shop. We came to Houston to shop for a silk oriental rug to hang on our wall as a gift to ourselves for our 30th wedding anniversary. High quality silk rugs are not that easy to find. One of the other shops we visited in town recommended we check out Abrahams as they were likely to have many silk rugs in their shop. Indeed they had several beautiful rugs to choose from. In fact there are so many beautiful rugs in this shop that it was hard not to imagine redoing our whole house in their beautiful rugs. In the end, we actually purchased two beautiful silk rugs for our walls. Omana was delightful to work with and very knowledgeable about everything rugs! We are thrilled with our new treasures! I was recommended Abraham’s by a friend and couldn’t be more pleased with the service. Had three carpets cleaned and two repaired, one which my cats had damaged by pulling on it and it’s like new, can’t believe it. Other repaired perfectly as well. More importantly the communication was excellent with photos and questions to make sure we were both getting/doing what was expected. Delivery guys were also very professional and courteous. Couldn’t have been better! Outstanding

I purchased several rugs from Abrahams — both at this location and the Decorative Center location. Every experience with this company has been extremely positive and professional. Being in business myself, I give much compliments to their excellent care and attention to each customer. They always take good care of us. We have been very pleased with their rug cleaning as well. They are well considered and respected in this field and I can see why! Highly recommend and will continue spreading the good word about this company even though I rarely do reviews. I am impressed!

Clearly communicated throughout the transaction regarding my 9x12 pal labrriz/bidjar carpet. Provided estimate, updates and pics of before, during and after cleaning. I bought rugs from Mr. Abraham for my home many years ago. They are beautiful and have held up well over the 30 plus years they have been in use. I have sent the rugs back to Mr. Abraham many times since they were purchased to be cleaned and repaired. I have three dogs and they sometimes track in dirt and make messes.Each time I have had them cleaned they have come back looking like new. The service I have received every time has been prompt and courteous.I very much appreciate doing business with Abraham’s Rugs.

Fantastic selection of modern rugs, and the quality is amazing. We have purchased two rugs from this location and two at the Woodway location. We have been really impressed with their service and the time they take with us each time. We have also had some of our old family rugs that we have had for many years and really needed cleaning and some repairs — thrilled with the work they did and thought it was reasonably priced for the quality. I rarely write reviews, but I thought it was important to put a positive note in because we appreciate Abrahams and word of mouth is already high for these people. Houston people know that they have been around forever and stand by their rugs. Highly recommend and will continue to do so.

We have dealt with Sam Abraham for many, many years. No one knows more about carpets of the world. His prices are very fair and his business practices are impeccable. Highly unreliable and dishonest vendor. We have had several experiences with them and this last one will be the last.I did do my due diligence on this business, only to find out how they overcharge and sell rugs that are not worth the quality sold, the complains are endless, like material coming off the rug.Looking at the other review Im satisfied that Ive written this one.

Such a sweet and kind man that owns this business. He was really interested in knowing about my life and why I need rugs. Genuinely did everything to help me and finally I found a gem of a rug. I cant say enough-- very memorable experience.

We have an antique Chinese peking rug made in the late 19th century that needed cleaning and, more importantly, substantial restoration. Mr. Abrahams was highly recommended to us, and for good reason. He took a personal interest in ensuring our rug received the attention it needed, and kept in touch with us throughout the process. We are thrilled with the quality of the restoration work ... it is virtually impossible to identify the areas where the repairs were made. It is like a new rug, and given its rich history we are extremely grateful to have found such a knowledgable, trustworthy, professional. We would entrust any rug we have to Mr. Abrahams care.

The rug quality here is substantially poor and the prices are escalated so much even after all the discounts. Bad sales team as it seems they do not know how to differentiate between their own products

Please dont ever bring your rugs to dry clean here. First, too expansive and second they dont even clean your rugs properly. They just care about you buying not cleaning. Very very bad service.

These ppl are never to be trusted.will get with BBB and with the concerned.(BBB Houston has issued one negative)Have checked their false claims and DCH, too many issues leading to a chicanery.This was a good trusted business a few years back, suddenly all the greed and 3 stores with a fair trade (disagree, the fair trade), they are not to be in the trusted group of businessman (PERIOD)

Quality is so bad, cheaper than online quality as I got scammed again, payed more to get good quality and turned out trashHorrible customer service too, Atrocious.

Why did you delete our review?, do not hide, and put on a good face, most of Houston knows how youll have become over the years!!!You charged me too much and keep saying that we gave you Harvey discount, other rug cleaning shops do not charge that much even without discounts, and yes they do not charge for pickup and delivery.

Just called to get removed from their direct mail marketing list and the person hung up on me.
