+Freds Barber Shop is a small place in a corner shopping area and is run by Fred and Vickie OBrien, and his son. The place is managed by a very hairy mature cat that roams the place and makes sure the barbers are extra kind to all the customers. They are the nicest people Ive ever known. They are very talented as barbers, and Vickie also does ladies haircuts and styling. I dont live in the area, but I pass by the shopping center every day on the way to work and back to my home. Back in the early 80s I had an older car that broke down a few times and on many of those occasions I just managed to pull into their parking area and stop to fix a problem. Fred came out on a couple of those times and jump started my battery so I could continue home. A couple of other times he brought me a gallon milk carton of water for my radiator. Grateful for his help, I started getting my haircuts from him and Vickie, and have used them now for 40 years. A few times I had misplaced my wallet and had no money when I went to pay them after my haircut. They told me to pay them when I got my next haircut. Naturally I paid them the next time I passed the shop on my way to other business.

Its a classic barber shop with unique charm. Excellent service and very knowledgeable barbers and hairstylists.

The folks here are very nice....old couple with a cat that roams the shop.My haircut was not so nice....the old man cutting my hair did seem to understand my directions on how I wanted it cut.They have been there over 30 years and it looks it....badly in need of cleaning up and organization....some products they had for sale werecovered in age-old dust....who knows how long they have been sitting there.I walked in and immediately was the youngest person in the room and I am no spring chicken...56.They were a very nice couple that were very friendly, just wish my haircut had been better is all.

These 2 are the most loving and friendly barbers/people I have ever met. Love to just sit and visit. Come out guys. I sit and talk with them while my old man get his hair cut.

I went on 4.29.17 and Fred did and excellent Job. Fred is the true definition of a REAL Barber!! I will definitely be coming back for now on and i will be bringing my son.
