Car broke down at my sons school. I looked for the nearest mechanic with the best ratings and this shop blew the competition out of the water. I gave them a try and I see why. I was in Houston for the first time as part of an extended drive across part of the country and had a serious problem with my drivers side wheel bearing, which had been getting steadily worse over hundreds of miles. A friend recommended Petro at West End Auto for quality service at a fair price, and he was absolutely right. I called, arranged a time to come in, and they did in excellent job making the repair for a very fair price. Since it took several hours they also volunteered to give me ride to local restaurant of my choice, where I relaxed and ate lunch until they returned to pick me up when the car was ready. They’re friendly, knowledgeable, fair priced for excellent service, and I’d recommend them to anyone for any auto service at any time if you’re anywhere near that area of Houston.

I trust them with my car and they usually dont over sell or try to get you to do everything, unless you want to. If you cant afford the recommended service, theyll try to get you by with only what would be absolutely necessary and what would be safe to wait on. Totally trustworthy. Im not sure what I would do without them.

Ive been getting my vehicle serviced here for about 3 years now. Each time, Ive had a very positive experience. The pricing is honest and fair and the mechanics do a great job. Additionally, one thing I appreciate is that West End provides a courtesy ride service, if you need a ride while your vehicle is being serviced. Finally, West End offers a pretty neat rewards programs that allows you to earn money to apply towards future service work each time your vehicle is serviced! I was able to knock off $30 on my last bill which was pretty awesome!I highly recommend West End to anyone! Keep up the great work guys!

9 years ago I used West End for all of my auto mechanic needs. When Petros (owner) informed me it was time to put my jalopy to rest I purchased a new car. Because West End had been so honest and did such great work I promised myself that West End would have my business when the new car smell wore off. Its that time. Amazingly when I called to make an appointment and I gave my name, Petros remembered me! Again, Petros and West End have lived up to the same excellent reputation I experienced almost 10 years ago. I went to West End Auto Works last week to have a tune up on my vehicle. As I walked in I was welcomed with open arms by the shops owner, Petros. He explained everything to me and went over what was going to be done to my vehicle. Not only did he explain what was going to be done, but he explained as to why it needed to be done. This is a rarity with any shop and a first for me. I left my vehicle there and was given a ride by one of their younger employees, Niko. Niko was quite friendly and a joy to be with. I picked up my car the next day and my car runs better than before. The prices here were beyond reasonable and I was very happy with the service I received. I would recommend West End Auto Works to all my friends and family and I will be a lifetime customer here. Not only a great and friendly staff, but a knowledgeable staff that will take care of your vehicle as if its one of their own.

I was on my way to work when my power steering gave out and my truck started smoking. I had read good reviews about this place and took my truck in. So glad I did, I found the only mechanic in Houston I trust!Got my truck back the same day after going to work.Stranded there in the morning (this was before Uber was big), the owner’s friend who was in for some chit chat volunteered to take me to work - I’ll never forget that. Reminds me of the goodness of people.

I give them a zero start. The owners lies too much and has amenesia i think. They broke a part on my car since july and keep giving different version and today he end up on me as i call his lies. How did you first order a part without that vin number and the part was delivered and returned and now u supposedly left a voicemail which i never receive asking me for the vin number after another 4 months? Lies lies lies....this shop should close doors

Didnt do honest job for me.My car had AC went off intermittently. So I drove in and asked them to check on it.They say its because the compressor clutch wont engage. And they also mentioned AC was working when they checked on it. They asked for $1,100 to have it fixed. I had my doubt and left.Later on I did research on internet. Some people suggested that I should check on the relay.I bought $5 relay and put it on and its been working ever since.I called them to give them some feedback, saying they should have done the same check I did before suggesting $1,100 fix.They got mad at me.I would not recommend this shop to anybody.---------------------------I saw the owners reply and here is my update.My AC is still working today after I put in the new relay. So from my perspective the mechanical certainly doesnt really exist.I do not want to wrong anybody, so I would revise my post when it happens again in summer time.

We rented an RV at this location through cruise America and our vacation was ruined due to unprofessional upkeep of the RV. We went camping for four days with the hopes of having a functioning RV with showers, restroom, and sinks but when we arrived on site and hooked up the water we saw water leaking out of the botttom of the RV and found water spraying all over the restroom that was coming out of the water line going to the toilet. We reserved an RV site in the back of the park (far away from the only on site restrooms) because we thought we would have our own restroom and shower. So we ended up spending three days making a 1/4 mike hike to the restrooms every time one of our three kids needed to potty, plus getting showers each day. The leaking hose going to the toilet was “repaired” with some kind of plumbers putty which is an unacceptable method of repair for a commercial unit which is used for family vacations. We called cruise America to report the problem and they recommended that we spend our limited vacation time taking the RV to get repaired correctly. Since we had multiple activities booked (which all required deposits) this obviously wasn’t a satisfactory solution. We called west end auto and they said they would give us one day off our rental price. In my opinion this is unacceptable. Our entire vacation was based on the notion that we would have a functioning RV and that’s what we paid for. What we got was a uhaul with beds and a stereo. One free day is inadequate compensation for renting an RV that doesn’t have the promised amenities. If I knew I was getting a uhaul with beds then I wouldn’t have spent $1000 to rent it! We could have just rented a cabin and saved ourselves the trouble of spending our vacation walking to the restrooms. I understand that things break, like water lines, but when you run a professional business broken things require professional repairs. You don’t slap pipe putty on a water fitting and then rent it out to unsuspecting customers! You replace the hose, and test the repair to ensure the unit will perform as promised. Very disappointed.

This is a very honest repair shop. All of the repairs Ive gotten done here were long term fixes, they advised me when repairs didnt make since and have treated me well as a customer.

Beware of technician Javier. Simple oil change gone tragic. Worker loosened oil pan screws and never tighten them. Three days later, oil was everywhere. From the chasis to the bumper. The store mgr/owner smirked in our face and denied ownership of his tech. African Americans beware! Racism is systemic and institutionalized in this country.

If I could give it less than one I would I went there yesterday to have my caliper pins tapped back in place may have taken 23 seconds with a hammer even if it took 15 seconds to find the hammer without those pins in place my brake pads can fall out and if they fall out I have no brakes I just noticed this condition at work my brakes were making noises and there bran new the guy told me to come back tomorrow and he could take a look at it after I told him what was wrong with it and that I was on my way home and it would only take a few seconds he still said come back tomorrow I asked him if he understood what I was asking about it only takeing a few seconds two blows with the hammer and he said no comeback tomorrow, I told him that me not having brakes in the immediate future was highly possible.I then proceeded to tell him that I am military (Which I am a disabled veteran) he walked away from me and once I got in the car ha came out and said your not a veteran I told him to read my plate
