Ordered it and got me back on the road. I tell everyone to go here for auto repairs. I cant say enough good stuff about this shop. You dont find good service like this anymore!

I brought my 1972 Chevelle here and they did a phenomenal job installing my vintage air kit and repairing various parts of my car. They did exactly what they said they would and they never got off of the price point they quoted me. This is a great business and a great bunch of guys. I was referred to them by a buddy of mine who also brought his classic here and they did a great job on his car too.

If you need a great mechanic, this place is for you. They have worked on all our vehicles over the past 6 years. He is honest, reliable, and thorough. We have had issues with brakes, real seal, A/C, you name it. I like that he totally explains the issue and lets you know the cost up front after inspecting the vehicle. He lets you know if something is getting worn and will need to be replaced in the future. He does not fluff the bill or make you pay for things that are not needed. Go to them and you will have a great mechanic to care for your familys vechicles.

I was recommended to Richs by a friend when I first moved to Houston. Of course going to somewhere completely new youll be a bit scared to go out and try and find a new mechanic that you can trust for value. Since the first time I walked in, I was treated with the best service. And while Ive been here several times, its always for something different, because whatever they fix doesnt break. 10/10, will keep coming back if I ever need to.

I came to Darrells shop a few years ago on a co-workers recommendation. They know their stuff, provide top notch service & theyll turn it around in a timely fashion. Nobody likes bringing their car to the shop for repair, BUT if you want it done right along with a 2 year warranty--This is the place to go. Not only did they take care of the problem, they took care of other stuff to prolong the life of my car! I highly recommend this place!

I tried Darrell after reading all the great reviews and I feel very lucky to have found him. The most important thing I can say about Darrell is trust and quality. He is honest, straight forward, professional and great at what he does. When you talk to him you feel like he is telling you the truth and your car is in good hands. That’s worth its weight in gold to me. I had an old truck that was on its last leg. Darrell always took the time to explain and show me what he was repairing. He always told me what needed to be repaired, what could wait and what was more economical to do together. I’ve gone to him for 5 years and will continue to go to him. I’ve always made the drive out to him from the downtown area because it’s worth it!

Ive had my fair share of bad and dishonest mechanics, including car dealerships. I can honestly say that Rich Auto Services has been a nice surprise. This place gets the work done, doesnt try to sneak in additional work that isnt needed and has great prices. My son has also used them several times and has been happy with the quality of the work and low fair prices.

Had to drop off my car for a few different repairs. I was able to drop it off a little before 9, and Rich was nice enough to give me a lift to work. Fast forward a few hours and Rich had called me about what the issues were and what it would take to solve them. He was very clear and made sure I understood what he was seeing and believed needed to be done. He was even nice enough to pick me up after the repairs were done so we could both see how they went. I need some more work done in the future and Ill definitely be using Rich.

Rich, the Owner, and Billy were very Courteous, Caring and very Knowledgeable on my Classic Truck and went above and beyond to fix the deficiencies on my Classic. They also give a 2-year Warranty on all their Work 🙂

I contacted Rich Auto Services to have them do a pre-purchase exam on a used car I was thinking of buying from a nearby dealership. Darrel was responsive and told me that he would be on vacation but that Billy would take care of me. When I brought the car Billy was polite, professional and thorough – he ended up finding an oil leak and some rim damage. I felt like he was looking out for my best interests during the sale process. I was looking for a trustworthy and impartial mechanic and found the right spot. I also bought the car after the dealer addressed the damages that Billy had found. It may look like a small shop at first glance, even kind of a hole in the wall, but its got the most vital any shop can ever have - a good, honest, and reasonably priced mechanic who knows what hes doing. Hell take the time to show you just whats wrong, and help you make the best choice out of the options that meet your budget. Dont hesitate to call on even drop by if you need a good mechanic on the west side of Houston.

I took my car to Rich Auto Services to get a 60000 miles service on my Toyota. Rich was upfront about what had to be looked at and also what did and didnt need to be changed. He gave me a quote before he worked on my car. This was amazing because every other mechanic wouldnt give me even a ball park estimate for my budgeting purposes. Rich Auto treats his customers that way he would want to be treated! The work he did was excellent and the price very very fair. I will recommend him to others and will continue to use his services!

Took my wifes car here yesterday for the alternator and oil change. He doesnt use the cheaper parts you can buy at the box stores. He also gave me a 2 year warranty on the alternator. They had it fixed and out the door the same day! They offered to pick me up when it was done! Who does that anymore? Excellent customer service. Will be using him again and again.

I had a great experience at Rich Auto. I had the timing belt and water pump replaced on my vehicle. The quote was very reasonable, and the work was done quickly and effectively at the price that I was quoted. I will definitely use Rich Auto in the future!

I have been taking both my two vehicles to Darrell for close to 10 years now. He is passionate about his work and always does a great job. He always uses good quality parts. What else is there to say? Dont do any more research and take your vehicle to him.

I was considering buying a used car, and took it to Darrell (Darrell Rich that is) to perform a pre-purchase inspection. He was extremely detailed about the inspection, and he was able to communicate everything clearly and respectfully. If you need your own car or a car that you are considering buying checked out, I highly recommend that you take it to Darrell. I opted to buy a new car so I will supposedly not need any major servicing for a while, but if I had bought a used one, I would not have hesitated in taking it to Darrell for maintenance and troubleshooting. It truly was a breath of fresh air compared to most of the mechanics Ive come across. Dont let the location of the place deceive you - the shop may not look like much from the outside, but once you look inside and talk to Darrell, you will see that you are getting A++ car knowledge and service.

I needed to get a State inspection for my car and found Darrell through Yelp. I called and he was able to fit me in that same day after I got off work.When I brought my car in I told Darrell about another issue I was having and he immediately inspected my car and spent 15-20 minutes sharing with me about the issue and answering my questions. He is upfront with his belief of not making repairs that were unnecessary and after our discussion about my car, I didnt feel any pressure from him to repair anything through his shop.I brought in my car again yesterday for an oil change and wheel alignment and they found a screw stuck in my wheel. They took it out, patched it, and refilled my tires without charging for labor. I really appreciate how he has the customers best interest in mind. His tech came in with some drinks for Darrell and gave me one when he saw me. Real sincere guys.

I called multiple car services after my brakes went out, many of them didnt know what I was talking about. I know you cant bleed the brakes the old fashion way on my car. I was already giving up when I made my last call and spoke to Rich. Right away he knew exactly what I was talking about and he fixed my brakes that same day.

I live out of state, and Im trying to order a truck from a local dealership. I had them drop the vehicle off at this shop for a pre purchase inspection. My breaks had started to squeak and annoy me. So on my payday after work I had to take lunch to my husband off the beltway at one of his jobs sites. While I was there I googled for the nearest location to fix my brakes. Rich showed up as a possible place and was close. I went in... he looked up the price to put brakes on my car and gave me a honest quote. He ordered the brakes and the next day after work he installed them and test drove my car. He was honest knowledgeable and fast. Thank you guys. You cant always trust a mechanic to be honest with a female who knows so little about cars but before I went back I called around to other shops and they all gave me around the same price quote Darrell did...not to mention his waiting room was nice with a clean couch.

If youre looking for a no BS mechanic, go no further!! :)I was dissatisfied with the work the mechanic I had used before and found Rich Auto Services by doing a web search in 2012. When I called and described my problem, Darrell Rich listened carefully and asked questions - no condescending Im the mechanic, take my word for it here. Darrell was able to trace the problem, fix it and documented the repair with photos and showed me the work done before I took possession of my car. Wont get that at a dealership or Kwik Kar!Youll be in the loop with the entire repair. Mr. Rich will keep you updated on the entire process and will wait for your green light. Only downside is youll have to drop off your car if its a repair, but just have a friend pick you up or Uber it, like I do. :)Ive been a loyal customer since 2012 and my old & cranky 2003 Pontiac Aztek runs like new. I even entrust my Class B motorhome into Richs Auto Services care.
