This is not the same company insurance company which I had in the 1980s.It has gotten worse in customer support and service, claims resolution, and policy premium increases for long term clients with no claims having been filed in years. I recommend that people go to one of those urls on the net which lists all of the insurance companies and find an insurance company that is more accommodating to its clients. When I wanted to change my policy, I did not want to hear a lecture on the major pitfalls of making the change. I had already had my wealth management manager at one of the major investment houses look over my policies and told me I was not getting a very good deal. And, when I called Liberty Mutual just to talk about the problem, the agent started raising their voice to almost a decibel level of a WWII air raid siren. My money spends just as good anywhere.

When I was shopping life insurance, he had some fantastic suggestions on changes we might want to consider based on our child’s age. I appreciated the outside-the-box thinking!

Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable about the insurance world, he is patient and kind and answers all of your questions with honesty. We left our insurance carrier of 15 years to move over to him and have never looked back.

Horrible Company. I was told I would receive all of the items out of my truck after an accident.Over a month later, I am finally told they found 2 items in my truck- and spare old apartment key and double sided tape. I am missing close to $500 worth of items from my truck, that are now missing. They claim these items were never in the truck.Currently have a case pending with them as negligence to keep my truck items secure.

Only giving a 1 star because I cant give a 0.1. A car pulled out in front of my son and our van had to go into the shop. They agreed to pay for a van replacement since it was our van that was wrecked. It has been over a year now and we are still trying to get our rental car covered. Every time we call it changes and they say our policy only covered a car even though they agreed to a van. Another time they said it was over 30 days, but it was actually only for 14 days.2. My van was side swiped on they hwy and the guy took off. Luckily a police officer told me that insurance companies should only charge a $250 deductible for a hit and run even though most deductibles are $500. Sure enough, when I called and reported it, they immediately said I would have a $500 deductible. When I asked about the $250 deductible since it was a hit and run. They said they would have to check and put me on hold. When they came back, they said that was correct. Thankful for an honest policeman who helps or Liberty Mutual would have ripped me off again.3. Our roof needed to be replaced from hail damage. They denied the claim even though we heard their guy on the roof say it needed to be replaced but he couldnt 100 % say it was from that hail storm. Everyone around us was getting their roof replaced with other insurance so we had to play the game, hire a roofer and appeal it and then they finally replaced it. As much as we all pay for insurance, we shouldnt have to waste our time playing these games. There is no honesty or integrity any more when it comes to insurance here.
Liberty Mutual should not be considered for insurance. They are bluntly THIEVES. They will rip you off. My insurance was increased 200%more, from $125 to 275 because they said the area I lived in had many claims. I life in the safest neighborhood. Unfortunately, many months had gone by by the time i realized the amount I was paying. I shopped for another insurance and i am paying 98.00 for the same car. They are the worst.
Ive been with Liberty Mutual for over 8 years, I currently have Auto, Home and Life policies and I can honestly say I have never had a problem when Ive had questions my Representative Mrs. Luz Wolford is always available.
If i could give this place zero stars i would... i filed a claim with them and it was someone else fault and after more than a week of delaying and leaving Their agent texts and voicemails and giving me billion details of the accident. He calls me after a week saying that they wont do the liability damage and dont have enough evidence for accident.. i dont know how much more of a evidence that agent needed to know that the other driver was at fault because i gave him clear indication of the place being near my home and i was so familiar with area and Couldnt be my fault.. if you rely on filing your claim just forget about having them take care of it because they would not.. sorry to say

Liberty mutual should be put out of business ! I filed a claim over a month ago and now cant get anyone to answer the phone or return my calls. The two times I did have the displeasure of speaking to someone I was told to pay for everything myself if I was in such a hurry ! My vehicle is totaled and completely undrivable and they refuse to pay for a loaner car or even discuss paying for the damage ! I hired an attorney and started legal action against them and also plan on filing complaints with the BBB and the Texas Dept. of Insurance. All this just to get them to do exactly what their only purpose for existing is !

Ive been getting robbed on both my car And Home owners Insurance from Liberty Mutual:( Ive been Paying over $3300/yr hm plus over $2k/yr auto, when I got quotes for half that, for more & better coverage! LibertyMutual? No! YOU have to pay for all those adds on TV. Every month! Check your Coverages & compare. You will see how little you are getting for twice or three times the money! MY MORTGAGE WENT UP BY OVER $220 PER MONTH JUST TO MAKE LIBERTY MUTUAL RICH!!! PEOPLE COULD LOSE THEIR HOMES OVER THAT! Imagine if your taxes or electricity went up by over $200 per month! Would you just take it??? THEY SHOULD BE SUED!
Do not work with Ruben Lopez!!!!I was working with Ruben Lopez to secure homeowners insurance for my home purchase that closed in June 2017. In July I received a notice that the application had not been received by the third party insurance agency Mountain Valley Idemnity Company that Ruben Lopez had secured my homeowners insurance through. I emailed and called Ruben with no response. I sent an electronically signed copy of the application that the company was missing to my agent and copied his fellow agent in. I noted for them to contact me if there were any issues. On 8/26/17 Hurricane Harvey hit Houston. Luckily my home was not damaged. However, I received a notice on 9/5/17 that as of 8/21/17 my home owners insurance was cancelled due to not receiving the signed application. I called and emailed Ruben Lopez and his fellow agent. Again with no response. I called Mountain Valley Idemnity Company and was able to speak to a customer service rep and was able to get my insurance re-instated. However, he noted that any damage that was suffered from 8/21/17-9/7/17 the insurance company would not cover. I could have paid thousands out of pocket if I suffered any damage during the hurricane due to Rubens inability to properly process my paperwork and follow up on my attempts to contact him. Ruben Lopez never contacted during this entire ordeal. He finally called me on 9/12/17 after I sent him a correspondence noting I was going to file a formal complaint against him. He stated he wasnt always able to check his messages, however, when he was trying to gain my business he quickly responded to all calls and emails. I have made a complaint with the corporate office of Liberty Mutual as well.I have now been reassigned to a different agent. Hopefully this works out better.
They are not an insurance company. They are crooks. My insurance premium was doubled and I have not had an accident, a claim or a traffic ticket in years! When I called, they lowered it but they had stolen my money for more than year. They are thieves. Dont do business with them. You;ll regret it.
I recently purchased a new car and was given the amount of the premium. Since it was more that I really wanted to pay I found another company. However, despite cancelling the policy, this company took out the entire auto policy amount but is only refunding me LESS THAN HALF of the monthly premium. Go with another insurance company if you want to deal with honesty.

I am sorry to say that I have to agree with many of the other Reviewers. I have been with Liberty Mutual for more than 5 years, which was way too long. I could have been saving more money. Auto Claim, they want you to do everything electronically, never received a call to get our side of the story, only went by what was stated in the police report, which was wrong and dismissed. Had to make video, pictures etc to prove our point just to not get any credit for being right in the end. After cancelling, they caused overdraft because apparently you are back paying. It has been a mess and they still want more money. So done.
Right Track does not function correctly. If your device defaults you will have to start your 90 days all over again. Why do you even offer this program if your devices do not work.
Roadside service is horrible. I dealt with two reps that have no ideal what the hell they are doing. I’m beyond pissed off stuck on the side of the road with my 13,6 and 11 month old after giving them the address and policy numb r telling him my name it went to can you spell it. Spell it however you want. You are looking at my information on the screen Tyler and whatever the lady name is are the worst reps ever
My roof was damaged leaking on my head during hurricane harvey.. They decided it wasnt damaged and they are not covering it. Obviously damaged..they told me how sorry they are and went up on my car Insurance by 40$ a month even tho I havent had a ticket or accident in 19yrs. One star is to much for these people... Get a lawyer if you have to make them pay

I filed a claim a month and a half ago and have been getting the run around the past two weeks the investigation department Christopher discher didnt respond to my emails for almost two weeks then blaim it on the recent holiday but mind you they dont mind taking money from you no one never calls you back I deeply regret signing up with them I wasted time and money I wouldnt recommend anyone poor customer service
