DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I normally wouldn’t use a company was such poor reviews on Google but this was the company my home warranty sent out so I didn’t have choice. They fixed the issue with my microwave but in the process they broke the trim that goes around the microwave against the cabinet. They claim it was broken before and they showed my wife but that’s a lie! They didn’t show her anything. One corner is completely broken off and sticks out now because it’s not secured down. We would have definitely noticed it beforehand. Not to mention they left fingerprints all over it after they were done, didn’t bother to clean up.
I wish I would have read the reviews before accepting the choice from my home warranty service. I called to make an appointment and spoke with Ruby. She said she couldn’t confirm what time in the afternoon that they would be there but it would be sometime in the afternoon. I told her that I would be home after 3 so that should work. I received the time confirmation of between 1 and 6 with the auto-text that was sent. Sure enough they call my phone at 1:37pm telling me that they’re running behind but they show up at 1:44. I’m out of reach with my phone but get message at 2:30 and try calling and leaving messages. No responses. Try calling again when I’m home to see if they will be able to come back, still no return calls. Ended up calling my home warranty service and canceling the order. Also saw the repairmen coming on my patio with my ring app taking the liberty of lounging in my chairs while waiting for someone to answer the door. If they would’ve called back or something it would have been better but nothing!!
Great Customer service. Techs arrived promptly and conducted themselves very professionally. Mr. Francisco, the lead Technician was very knowledgeable . He diagnosed the problem, ordered the part necessary to repair the refrigerator, and returned the next day to complete the job. . His helper was also knowledgeable. Both Gentlemen were very pleasant and easy to converse with. I highly recommend this company, and hope that American Home Shield will send them to my home again if I need appliance services.
I would rate them a zero if I could DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They told me it would be one charge & it ended up being more than what I was told over the phone. Ruby admitted what price she told me but refused to honor it & Ruby said the manager said they also refuse to honor it. I requested to speak with a manager or owner & was refused. They do not answer the phone at most any time during during the business day & voicemail is always full.
My refrigerator was working the icemaker was not my home warranty co. American Home Shield contracted Hot Shot Appliance to come fix the ice maker after 3 visits later the technician said it was fix the following day the ice maker went out again, they came back out again technician said the water line preassure was too high I need to call plumber.I Call plumber Who said theres no such problem in the water line? Stated thats not the reason the ice maker its not working. Call Hot Shots again this time they said my compressor needs to be replaced they replaced it, the following day the refrigerator Stop working After 5 visits from hotshots they manage to completed brake the refrigetor. They told my warranty company the refrigerator was in working order that I just want my refrigerator replaced. Now they don’t answer calls Worse technicians poor customer service practice I don’t believe they are even experienced technicians. I have reported them to BBB and all other sites I can reported them. They waisted my time and money and completed broke the refrigerator They should not be alloud the have business license
Literally the have read several of the same horrible, dishonest experience with Hot Shot!This company was contracted through American Home Shield to fix my refrigerator. HS arrived n time, hooked up electrical device for 3 minutes, advised the damper was faulty, causing freezing in the the refrigerator. Solution: replace panel. Returned 3-5 days later to replace, next day bottom ice maker not working, fridge still freezing. Hot Shot said replacement panel was faulty, repaired ice maker. 3-5 days brought 2nd panel, bottom ice maker still not working - was told needed to be replaced and not covered under AHS.They have not even seen my contract and were telling me I wasnt covered.By the time we went back and forth with HS and AHS to get AHS to send another provider had to pay another 75.00. Ice maker is covered, replaced but still does not work and fridge is still freezing still does not work! Will give 2nd provider another opportunity to repair, then call a company certified with the brand.
This company was contracted through American Home Shield (AHS is also a trash company) to fix my ice maker and water dispenser. Hot Shot Appliance showed up on time, looked at my fridge for 3 minutes and then told me I was not covered under a warranty.They have not even seen my contract and were telling me I wasnt covered. The employee then wrote down 4 items that need replacing and would contact me.It has been 3 and a half month, I have not heard from Hot Shot Appliance, nor has American Home Shield. They stole $75 for a service fee, then went mia to me and AHS. AHS wont do anything either because they are also a scam. Do not do business with Hot Shot Appliance or American Home Shield.
They were supposed to fix my leaking washer (that had a smalls leak only). They told me it was fixed and left. I ran the machine and it FLOODED my house and garage!!!!! Tried to call so they would return. Calls only went to voicemail and voicemail of course was full!!! When I finally got a hold of them and they returned, they couldnt even find a flat head screwdriver in their tools so I loaned them mine. During their search for a very basic tool, and not watching the washing machine they turned back on, it started to flood my garage and house AGAIN and they didnt notice until I cried out and was grabbing towels!!!! So then they claim it was a new replacement part was the problem and they would return with the part the next day to fix it. Well, today is that day...just got a call from a repair man that the place they buy their parts thats usually open Sat is closed...so rather than go to a different supplier, they had to reschedule me for 8-1 Mon..great, now I get to take ANOTHER day off to deal with this...oh! Wait! The office just texted me that my appointment is really from 1-6 pm not 8-1 like the guy said... wouldnt meant to make any effort to fix a problem that your company created...this is the WORST company experience EVER! Do NOT use this company!
This company is who we were forced to have come work on our refrigerator since Feb 2012 per contract with AHS (American Home Sheild) home warranty. They have come to our home 6 times and the fridge issue that was initially the problem broke down three times despite the same part being replaced. The the freezer leaked water forming ice all over and then the icemaker broke. They never responded to calls or emails. This company is now needing to tell AHS that they can no longer fix the fridge and they have failed to even do that even though the original issue (damper/blower) is again broken after three replacements of the same part. DO NOT call them unless you want a headache and then ghosting of the customer, with no calls, no email response, nothing. BBB will also be getting my complaint.
We were put in contact with Hotshot via American Home Shield twice so far and both have been positive experiences. They sent two technicians each time. Both times they arrived on time, gave me a quick diagnosis and resolved the issue. I am pretty happy with my experience with them. Thank you!
Promised to get back out to our house on 8-20 to replace over control panel...have called 3 times, each time getting an answering service during normal business hours, leaving a message but no response yet...its 8-29
We were put in contact with Hot Shot Appliance through American Home Shield when our washer broke. We were honestly quite nervous about the experience based on the other reviews, but were very satisfied by the work performed by this company. The technician, Raul, was on time and professional, and diagnosed the issue within 10 minutes. Once the part that we needed was received, they scheduled an appointment for the very next day and Raul was able to get us back up and running in 15 minutes.

Using this company was a complete waste of time and energy. They were contracted to me through American Home Shield who should have higher standards than this. My gas dryer was not producing any heat to dry my clothes. The technician came out and pulled off the back panel, cleaned out some lint, and decided that the dryer was fine. It was reported to AHS that my vents needed to be cleaned and the issue wasnt with the dryer. So I shelled out the $200 for my vents to be cleaned which only produced a baseball size amount of lint, and the dryer would still not produce heat. I called AHS again and they scheduled these guys once more. I called to set up an appointment and asked for a different technician to come out so I could get a different opinion on the issue, and was told no. I didnt have a choice but to have the same technician come back out. So I called AHS once more and demanded a different company come out. Unitech Appliance came out, disassembled the entire dryer, diagnosed the issue, and fixed the problem in less than an hour. It was a bad solenoid and he had the part on hand.
I would not recommend this company to provide any level of services, very unprofessional with their caliber of work as well as responsiveness. This company was contracted by AHS warranty to repair my microwave which took a total of 3 visits to even complete. Upon the final visit, the microwave was said to be fixed properly only for me to later find that the technicians had damaged the microwave vent grill. Instead of admitting fault and notifying me the workers simply put duct tape onto it to hold it in place. I have contacted the company for over 3 months now and no resolution. The only feedback that has been given is the parts were on back order due to the pandemic. I have little reason to believe this has even been addressed as I requested to speak with a manager for the instaces of my call being taken and never spoke with anyone to this day. Very poor customer service and unprofessional!

The service was excellent. They scheduled my appointment quickly and they fixed my appliance in a short time and it works perfectly. Techs were very helpful in the questions and concerns that I had. terrific work and very helpful.
I read these reviews and even though I was worried about the service i was going to receive, they had a great customer service. The fixed my dryer in an acceptable amount of time. great work from them. my dryer has not messed up since their work.

These guys do not have skilled technicians. They have no idea how to diagnose a problem, they keep changing parts! Avoid them. American Homeshield (AHS) uses them so you do not have a choice if you have AHS! As a result also AVOID AHS!
Their service is very fast. they called me as soon as i placed my work order. they scheduled me for next day appointment. also they had the part ready when they were heading out to fix my appliance. the work was done in two days. excellent work.
Honestly, my experience with this company is great, Service was good. i had asked if they could let me know when they were on their way and they gave me plenty of time. they gave me a flexible time frame that worked well for me.

I read all of these reviews and came really close to cancelling my appointment. I was really nervous and figured since I would be home (Covid 19 Lockdown) I would go ahead and let them come out. Raul and his partner were the nicest most helpful service men that Ive had at my home (weve been here 5 years). They showed up on time and were very professional. They explained what they thought the problem was and my microwave ended up being unfixable. Would gladly recommend them to a friend!

I had reported a broken oven, microwave, and washing machine through AHS. I was very concerned after reading these reviews when Hot Shot was assigned to address my issue. Everyone I dealt with was professional and very nice. On their initial visit they fixed my oven, reported my microwave as unfixable (AHS got me a new one), and diagnosed and ordered a part for my washing machine. They were done in about 30 min. After the part came in for my washer they came and installed it in about 20 min and I have a working washer. Overall really excellent and efficient service

Gotta say I was worried about these guys based on reviews below. I too have AHS and this is who we had to use. They scheduled for 2 days from when I called and they gave a 3 hour window which I thought was acceptable. The tech showed up on time and they fixed our microwave within an hour. I was impressed. Maybe the service is hit or miss with these folks but we got good service.
Despite all the bad reviews this company has I was very satisfied with their work. They called to let me know they could come out earlier, they knew right away what was wrong with my dryer, although it was a minor problem, they fixed it, and were done in 15 min. Both of the guys that showed up were young and said they had just started with the company (not sure how true that is) but maybe they are making changes after so many bad reviews.
I had a positive experience with Hotshot Appliance Repair. They contacted me within a day of my service request, respected the fact that I couldnt have late afternoon appointments, when the warranty company let me know they were on the way they were actually at my home, fixed my appliance in less than half an hour and the techs were really good guys. Only thing...was the email sent, after set up a day for the service, that said they would arrive between 8 am - 5 pm, pretty big window. But, when I called they let me know that someone would call in the evening and narrow the time down, hence the 4 stars, since I wasnt available in the late afternoons/evenings as I had mentioned to confirm the time. I would recommend this company.
These guys were used for repairing a intake valve on my dishwasher per my home warranty service. They were prompt to show up, diagnose the problem, get the part and repair. The communicated well, and were professional. No complaints.
This is my first and only review to ever write about any company, but feel compelled to give an extremely negative review. This was the worst customer service Ive ever experienced! I had no choice because of Home Warranty (American Home Shield). I called in complaint, and guess what, AHS will not send different company. This review is as much a complaint against American Home Shield as it is Hotshot Appliance. Repairman showed up unprepared, even after I phoned in model and make of appliance. I popped off because they were unprepared and wasted my time away from job, and the fellow turned his shoulder, walked away and drove away. No apology at all! If I treated customers in this way where I work, I promise you I would be fired. Customer service should be first and foremost with all companies. We are the people paying for their services by the way! Such arrogance!!

HORRIBLE. These guys came out for my fridge as a warranty repair from American Home Shield. They come out initially and add freon and say we need another part, it will be a week before the part comes in-ok. In the mean time the fridge is cooling enough to keep food in it. They return a week later install the part and the fridge is now 80 degrees 4 hours later. (they also left all of their work trash inside of my fridge) I call back, we schedule an appointment from 10-1 with a call when they are in route. I get a call at 9 that they are on the way. I said OK i will be there for 10, they said no he is in route now. I said well appointment time is for 10-1 how am i expected to be there now? They then try to push me to tomorrow I said no lets make me your last appointment of the day. I called back (1 minute later) say i was able to move some things around will be there now, they say great! Tech never arrives, i call leave a message (after i ran home to meet them) and 2 days later have not heard back from them to fix my fridge.
Came out 4 separate times to fix my dryer. Young kids seemed incompetent as they kept calling someone to ask how to fix the dryer. They do not give an accurate time window. We missed two days of work overall and the dryer was still not fixed. They said it was the electric, but the electrician documented the power was fine. A different company came and fixed the problem in 10 minutes. We were without a dryer for 3 weeks. I do not recommend this company.
I wish I could give negative stars. This company is AWFUL!!!!!! I unfortunately had to deal with this company because my home warranty, American Home Shield, sent them to fix my dishwasher. They have been trying to fix my dishwasher for over a month and every time they come, they manage to break something else. Additionally, one of the receptionist, Margarita, is the most incompetent person you will ever speak to. She does not return calls and flat out lies! I don’t know how the owner can have someone like that working there. She is rude, cannot speak correctly, and should not be working with customer service period. If you have the option to stay away from this company do it. They are the worst company I have ever have to deal with. Just called again, they send me to voicemail and I can’t even leave a message because their mailbox is full. This is ridiculous!!! Don’t be fooled by any positive reviews, it is probably their own family members writing lies.
I truly wish I could give this company a 0. Unfortunately this is the company our home warranty chose to come help fix our broken dishwasher, but hours later after theyre supposed to be here no one will answer the phone. The fact that it seems like a home run business (based on the photo provided) makes sense that theyd only have a couple of employees, but seriously! Actually call and let people know if youre coming or not! Completely 100% dissatisfied with this company and I hoe my home warranty service drops them.

DO NOT USE THEM!! Hot shot came to my house to repair my dishwasher and after they left it started linking. They came back a second time and said they found the problem, showed me what the previous technician did and didn’t do and said the problem was resolved. The dishwasher continues to leak and they refuse to come back and finish what they started, instead they want to refer it to another contractor for second opinion. What kind of customer service would you call that? It seems like this company has had issues in the past and continue to provide the same terrible customer service and based on the reviews I’ve read and what I’ve experienced, would definitely not recommend them to anyone!!!!

I had a great experience with Hot Shot. The diagnostic appointment occurred within a couple of days of my claim on the home warranty, and he diagnosed the problem with my refrigerator within about ten minutes.Although Hot Shot had to order a part to complete the repair, they must have done so promptly because the part arrived within only about three days.The appointment to install the new part occurred a week or less following the first appointment, and he completed the work in short order.I hope not to need appliance repair anytime soon, but I can say I would consider these folks even if not required to by a home warranty plan.
Repair techs arrive and inform me it will be an additional 96 dollars to make my stackable accesible. I approved the fee. The techs leave stating they are going to pick up a part. The next morning you inform me you cant do the work! Meanwhile my dryer is opened up with pieces sitting on my bathroom floor. Unacceptable!

Hot shot appliance has been contracted by my warranty company to repair my oven again. They have horrible customer service! The last time my oven did exactly the same thing, I had to wait 9 weeks to have it repaired!!! The warranty company had to finally send the part they could not get. When Hot Shot received it, I had to call them to inform them they had the part. They made me wait another week before they would come out and repair the problem, only to find out they ordered the wrong part!!! The part that was needed they had in their office the entire 9 weeks. The oven went out again 34 days after they repaired it, but they refused to cover it under the last repair since it was over 1 month since the last repair. I have had to call them again to inform them they have the part in their office. They again are making me wait until next week to fix the problem. This time I have been without my oven for 3 weeks! I asked if this was the best customer service they had to offer, and the lady said Yes maam. Horrible customer service!! I would give them less than 1 star if possible.

Well this will be the 7th time they are coming to fix my microwave. Lets go ahead and throw more parts at it. Before they came out the first time, I had another company dispatched by my home warranty to fix it, he said that it was an internal short and he is going to recommend replacement or 6 hours for diagnosis so he can trace the problem, low and behold the next people to come out are hot shot with a part. I was told that their boss told them that the part needed replacement and they where there to do the work, I said funny, you never seen the microwave before so how can your diagnose the problem. So today, I will have more parts thrown at it, and they will be back again in a couple of week with more parts....maybe it is their way of getting me a new microwave.
They do not work with you in setting up appointments. They repaired my washer and left it very dirty and when I ran water to use it water run out of the bottom all over my floor in the house and garage. I will never use them again.
I was very worried after reading the reviews, but as mentioned we are required to use them with American Home Shield. I could not have been happier with them. They came out within their stated time frame. Diagnosed the problem with my dishwasher on the spot and fixed it. The service guys were very professional and friendly.
My home warranty AHS assigned Hot Shot appliance repair to service the washer .Service is extremely slow and unprofessional, it took them 4 days to set up diagnostic appointment, they misdiagnosed the problem with the washer and totally ignored error codes. After a week they came with replacement part and coudnt fix the appliance, told me that replacement part was defective. Today they came back and couldnt fix the washer again.After finally paying attention to error codes they realized that other parts are needed for repair to be complete.It has been two and half weeks so far without washer and I dont know how long it will take to have it repaired.
Placed dishwasher service request with home warranty company American Home Shield on August 31. HSAS has made two futile trips without the needed parts on two occasions. It is now September 28 and could not schedule another trip before October 3. Supposedly HSAS is now sending out a senior technician and the needed parts. Well see. If AHS sends you to this contractor, ask for another with a better record for customer service.

We have been having trouble with blown fuse in our Sears Kitchen-Aid microwave starting about 5 years after we bought it. The last time HOT SHOT came out the fuse lasted one day. I called them again and without doing any diagnostics, they just wanted to replace the fuse. I know enough about electronics to figure the problem is in one of the components. One of the techs spoke broken English, the other spoke Spanish only. I was unable to communicate the problem to them. I asked to speak with their supervisor and he hung up on me. I will never do business with them again and would not recommend them at all.
I was referred to this company through a Home Warranty company. I called Hot Shot on a Friday aftn. and described the problem I was having with my oven. The lady I spoke with said a tech would be calling me Monday between 7:30 and 8:30 am. And exactly at 7:30 am Monday morning, the tech called and said they would be here between 1-4 pm. They showed up in that alloted time frame and were quite courteous and professional. And my oven is now working again. Yay !!!! I am exceptionally pleased with the service. Thank You !!!!

These guys totally suck! Again American Home Shield had these jokes assigned to me to fix my microwave. The tech calls me at 7:30 AM to tell me hell be at my home between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM. No call, no show. I called the tech, no answer. Called the techs main line, no answer. Called AHS, they said they would contact Hot Shot and have them call me the next day... No call from Hot Shot the next day. Called AHS told them to shove these jokers where the sun dont shine. Now I got GE coming out to repair the microwave. STAY AWAY FROM THESE ASSCLOWNS.
Review on Hot Shot Appliance Service(HS). Too bad I cant rate them lower than zero. HS came out in Oct and determined that our fridge needed a coolant line dryer replaced. When they got the part and replaced it the fridge worked for alittle over a month and then we had problems again, ie, not cooling. They came out again and determined that it was the thermostat, ordered the part and replaced it. This made no difference in it not cooling, actually it was worse. I called AHS and was assigned an appointment with Sears. The technician arrived today, found out that there was a coolant leak and another line that needs replaced. This has been the problem all along. I would not reccomend that you use Hot Shot on any service calls because it is obvious they dont know how to properly troubleshoot a fridge that doesnt cool properly. So, we have been with out our fridge for almost two months, had to purchase unknown amounts of ice to keep our stuff cool because they didnt know what they were doing. In the future, if we have any appliance repairs you should use Sears on the first call.
Friendly customer service and repair man, but inadequate in actually getting the job done and working with our warranty company American Home Shield. We have had a gas leak in our home for over 1 month and not been able to cook/use our stove or oven. This is terribly inadequate.
They circumvented a bad spot on a furnace circuitboard with a wiring connection just to make the A/C work. Very, very dangerous.
This company was dispatched as part of our home warrantee. They did the we will be there between 5 and 7 pm, and then phoned saying they couldnt come at all until the next day. The next day they could only come over lunch and wouldnt reschedule. Very unreliable.... found someone else.
Very Unreliable Service!After a missed appointment by the company; the service technician came on May 29 at 7:00am; diagnosed the issue and said he was going to update my Home Warranty Company in a hour and asked me to follow up with then after 4 hours. It has been five days and my Home Warranty company has not received his diagnosis from Hot Shot Appliance Service. My home warranty company has left numerous messages and emails for them to send the diagnosis but all attempts have failed. According to my home warranty company; there is an agreement between Hotshot Appliance Service and the home warranty company to provided diagnosis with 24 hour
