We absolutely loved our stay. Hubby and I went this past weekend to celebrate our anniversary. The registration office is a bit tricky to locate but was able to find. The lady that checked us in was extremely nice and helpful! Got to the room and it was super clean and nice. We were only there for a few days but we will definitely be back! Highly recommend! Also go to Cinnamon restaurant on premise and try the calbi ribs and the Guava pancakes. So good!

Our stay was amazing thanks to the staff at this hotel. The location of the hotel is perfect for tourists. You are able to walk to restaurants, stores, shops, and the beach. It’s in a great spot! We really enjoyed the kitchenette we had in our room, it had all the items we needed to cook. Staff was very helpful and made us feel welcomed to hawaii.

Pros: great location and beautiful view. Right next the famous Hilton and the charming little shopping mall. Cons: there is often a line out of the elevators - and Im not sure why. Parking is expensive and valet is about the only option. There is free parking spaces around the property but they are tricky to impossible to find. Laundry requires a lot of quarters and you depend on the mercy of other residents or the cleaning staff not to leave their stuff in the washer/dryer for hours.

This place is perfectly located with all the amenities that you would want (full kitchen) and great views. There was typically a line to the elevator but I never waited more than a few minutes. It was affordable and I had a much better experience for my 50th compared to someone who stayed at the Hilton next door where everything was overcrowded. I will definitely come back with my family!

It is an older building but well maintained and clean. The building itself is run by different companies and I stayed at my timeshare with Shellvacations club. It is a one bedroom studio with a basic kitchenette. Id say its a fairly spacious room for a couple. The bed is comfortable and location is decent. Walkable to Ala Moana Mall and main drag of Waikiki. Since it is a timeshare unit, room clean up service is only once a week but during the time we stayed while in a pandemic, they didnt come at all for the 6 nights of our stay. It was not an issue for me since we were only in the room to sleep and was out most of the time. The towels, toilet tissues, paper towel, etc were well stocked for that reason. Parking is valet only and current rate is $28/day. You have in and out privileges all day. Supposedly there is a cheaper parking service near the Red Lobster across the way but we didnt bother to check it out. Disappointingly, the restaurant in the hotel called Cinnamons was closed due to the pandemic. They are voted one of the best breakfast in town but not to worry, there are so many great breakfast restaurants nearby.

This is what I live for right here. The service and how they treat us is better than our own family treats us. Lol. We have so much fun here all under the care of these special people, our Ohana there in the island - Ryne, Kent, Keola, Shawn, Kirston, Tara and last but certainly not least is Micheal M. All right there taking care of us in the background. Well…without these beautiful people we would not have the experience we have. So warm and friendly. They’ll look out for you too I’m sure. Good job guys and we will see you again I’m sure!! Aloha 2021

We stayed here 2 weeks ago. Hendrik made it possible for us to have a wonderful stay at this resort. We had an early check in and late check out and an awesome view from our room to the city. The building is a little bit old and due to Covid some restaurants were closed but it has the. est ice cream shop inside Daves. Also pool was open with limited capacity which I thought it was great during this time. Excellent and place to stay with family and the kitchen inside the room was a big plus specially for the very expensive food at the restaurants We will definitely come back to this place. The kitchen was equipped with everything I needed to cook. It was walking distance to the beach. It’s near really great restaurants and I just honestly love it there. I’m also grateful that we had free parking for our rental at the resort right next door. Everything about this place was perfect!

We were greeted in a friendly manner, the room was as stated and included the necessaries. Small kitchen with everything in working order, pots, pans plates, cups and flatware. Enough to cook a few meals after going to Safeway in the AlaMoana Shopping Center. Very little was open but there are places within walking distance, no room service. The city view is nice but loud at times if youre sittingon the lanai. The fan/air conditioner was too loud to run while sleeping.Lots of rules due to covid meant no housekeeping, only one opportunity to get new towels by calling, limited office hours, all visits to either of the pools were by reservation and; because we are not owners here our pool time was limited to 30 minutes. At one brief visit, my husband turned his chair toward the sun and was yelled at from a woman across the pool to turn it around. Needlessly and Repeatedly. Yelled. At. we didnt make another reservation for either pool. The beach access is not as direct as I wouldve liked and I imagine the ocean views fron the Ilikai are truly lovely.

My stay was AWESOME!! I stayed here back in 2014 to celebrate my champagne birthday. At check in they gave me a pin to wear which made my visit even more special. The room itself was nice, spacious and clean. We made use of the kitchen every day that we were there. The staff were super accommodating and friendly from start to finish. Our luggage was left behind on our flight to Honolulu and once it arrived, the airport dropped it off and the bellman brought them to our room. Really outstanding service. I know this review is about 5 years late but definitely left the best impression on me :)

I reserved a space here for a very reasonable price in order to wait out my state mandated quarantine prior to spending several months with family on the island. The property accepted my reservation at a COVID special booking rate over two weeks ago, and canceled the same reservation less than three days prior to my departure. When I tried to contact the property, I was told that all resorts and hotel properties on the island are closed due to COVID, which is patently false. While a number of properties have made the decision to remain closed until the State officially reopens to tourism on October 15, Wyndham could have done a much better job with the communication and ensuring that people that booked were given sufficient lead time to make alternative arrangements. This has left such a bad taste in my mouth. I will never book at a Wyndham property again.UPDATE (10/09/20): I emailed the property after receiving a response to this review, and I still have yet to hear back. As a general rule, it’s better to withhold a response and remain silent than to offer a response and invitation you never intended to follow up on. I ended up booking at the Tropical Studios at the Marine Surf Waikiki, and one week into quarantine, and I’ve found the property to be solid and the management responsive—a stark contrast to my entire experience on this front. It’s also comparable in price with free parking for those that can make use it. My positive review will be posted for that property upon the completion of my stay.

This is a clean resort but certainly a no frills resort. Landscaping is minimal with a small garden behind has some water feature at the entrance, the valet parking is quick. The elevators work. Didnt notice any strange smells in our room or in the halls. The AC works but is pointed right at the desk so my wife froze everytime it came on while she had some remote work she had to get done at the beginning of our vacation. The beach is about a 10 minute walk, on a concrete path, that declines somewhat steep, about 1.5 stories down. We were on the 3rd floor of the south east wing and could see the ocean through the palm trees; nothing really picturisc. The balcony is nice and not rusted and has two strong chairs and little table. The couch is comfortable and beds comforable, firm and flat, and thats what counts, right? The shower is just a shower and puts out the typical water saver amount of water and is not clogged up with mineral deposits. However theres just a little soap dish. So pretty much, your bottles are on the shower floor or sitting on the back of the toilet next to the shower. The vanity is big enough for one personal hygiene bag and not much more. The TP is about as cheap as you can get. The kitchen on the other hand is well stocked with pots pans, utensils, and a J A Henckels (chinese version) cutlery set which is quite nice for this situation and the knives really are sharp. They had to be new. Tiny TV but who cares. This room had its own router with 4 Giga.bit ports, 2.4gHz and 5 gHz band wifi. I suspect it serves several rooms around it but seems odd to place such a router on the desk of selected rooms. In any case, I used the 2.4 gHz band and one of the ethernet ports. I was able to remote into my home PC using windows remote desktop just fine.

Also aroma cafe on the bottom floor was a breath of fresh air, with their delicious food & drinks and more importantly, their care about the environment. Great venue neighbouring a far from quiet beach area. Continuous Japanese wedding photo shoots a few feet from where youre quietly tanning, anyone? UGH!!The Ilikai is a superb building, manned by courteous staff... it has the unfortunate distinction, however, of being located close to a wide, quiet expanse of beach abutting the Hilton lagoon... quiet, that is, until 10 oclock comes around and beachgoers are assailed by endless Japanese wedding photo shoots, wherein the bride and groom are placed a mere few feet away from sunbathers while throngs of photographers shout out directions on what to do, where to go, when to smile. This practice is arrogant and disrespectful to the thousands who save up and slave every year to afford just a week or two of beach and sun in Hawaii.

Its quite dated inside and that includes things like the air conditioning and bathrooms. We were also here 10 days and our towels, linen and complimentary things like coffee etc, were only replaced twice. So based on that its a 3 star hotel in my opinion. However, there are a lot of good things about the location itself including:- the hotel has free wifi and gives you beach towels to borrow whenever you want- there is a lot of food places nearby which is super handy- Ala Moana mall is only a few minutes walk away which was awesome for our trip- mostly the staff are very helpful except some of the security think they have a little too much power - I kept getting told off for not wearing shoes when I was just going to the coffee shop thats literally part of the main lobby. Im in Hawaii bro, I aint wearing shoes if I dont want to!- really close to a few of the more family oriented beaches, if youve got little kids then that will be handy for you, Waikiki beach can have some strong currents for the smaller kiddies, so the beaches near this hotel are much more suitable.

We should not have been surprised, but everything costs more. Housekeeping is once every 4 days unless you pay more. Parking is $28 a day. Read the fine print. It just all adds up with what begins as a cost effective place to stay. Our unit has a stove top, microwave, sink, toaster, coffee pot and mini fridge. The 2 pools are great for relaxing. The second floor pool is a lounge pool. Which translates to sun bathers and toddlers. I loved it. The lady who hoped to louge away from kids, did not. It also has shade in the afternoon and evening which makes it perfect for an outside nap or just cool off after a day out and about. They keep what you see walking by or in, in stunning beauty. Waikiki Marina Resort at the Ilikai is a great place for affordable and long stays. It is located at the Waikiki Marina which means it is right at the edge of the Waikiki Beach and does not have direct access to the beach proper. However, just walking along the seawall for a few minutes will bring you to the Hilton hotels side of the beach where you can rent the umbrellas and sunbathing chairs. We had the junior suite when we stayed from Sept 9 - 14 2015, and it was furnished nicely with a kitchen area. Free wireless wifi internet makes it sweet too. The only critique is that the interior furnishings are quite dated, circa 1980s design. Also they provide turn-down service only twice a week, tuesdays and saturdays which is one too few. There is a super swanky rooftop restaurant that service nice Italian fare at the Ilikai which affords a wonderful view of the Waikiki Beach, seaview and city view. On Fridays, book the booths that faces the sea because they have fireworks every friday in the evenings.Overall, the resort itself is not that conveniently located but for its price, it is quite a good place to stay in Waikiki. First off the images posted by the hotel and its travel agency are Photoshoped. The balcony shot with plates over looking the beach is drawn over the Marina that is actually there. The beach looking pool that looks back at the hotel is Photoshoped into that picture, though it is a beach somewhere it is not at the base of the hotel. This is very deceptive and Im the idiot who fell for it. It is a decent view anyway, see my pictures, but its not worth the 20% Mark up. The rooms and building is strait out of the 60s, and I like it. Theyre good sized with small but full Kitchen, a seating area, and Super comfy King bed, doesnt feel cramped at all (600 sqft Id guess). Hotel shop is probably good, but there are 2 ABC shops nearby which are great (pro tip buy the $20 snorkel instead of renting the same one at the beach for $20 plus deposit). Goofys is a great place for breakfast. If this place cost $150/night I probably would have rated it 3 or 4 stars, but the ocean view was $263 and while I could see the ocean it was behind the Marina, the Photoshoped pictures make me very, very, angry. This place should go out of business for those sort of shenanigans.

Nice staff, fun place to stay. Parking costs a load, so does any other place nearby

The condo I stayed in was updated and taken care of. My nephew stayed in a smaller room and was very outdated
