This was a fun snorkeling tour that we experienced, having found this tour through Groupon. The captain was extremely nice and entertaining, and “Sushi” (his dog) was so cute. They took us out to a place not so far off the coast, which was used by several other snorkeling companies. (Ultimately, it doesn’t seem to matter which touring company you use, except for the price differences and staff because everyone takes you to the same spot. There were about 5 other tours there at the same time as us). We did see several fish, and were able to see the sea turtles as they surfaced. It was a cool experience, but being out there for an hour was pretty much perfect - not too long but not too short.

We booked the 5 Star Circle Island with Pearl Harbor Tour and it was a great way to see the majority of the island all in one day. We started off at Pearl Harbor where we got to check out the vistors center and the Arizona Memorial. We then headed out to the Dole Pineapple Plantation where we got to take a tram tour and shop at the gift shop where we bought some amazing Dole Whips. We then headed up to the North Shore and our driver Charlie allowed us to get out and take some amazing pictures at the beach. We then went to Marriott for lunch were we also got to learn Hula from a kumu hula and that was really fun. We also checked out the Polynesian Cultural Center and did a canoe ride there, made stops at some of the famous lookout points like Pali Lookout, Hanauma Bay, Halona Blowhole and the Diamond Head Crater.The bus was comfortable with air condition and leather seats and our driver Charlie was super friendly and made the 12 hours go by quickly with all of his great stories and knowledge of the island.Highly recommend this tour!!

We booked an all day pearl harbor tour. It was pricey but Im so glad we did!! Greg was our tour guide and I have to say he was awesome!!I highly, highly recommend this tour!!You get a great scenic drive, great views, info about the city, etc. You dont have to worry about driving in traffic, parking, standing in line for tickets, wondering what to do and see first. Its all planned out. So great!!You have to drive to the aviation museum, was a blessing to have that provided as well.The buffet lunch was delicious!!!Greg was really awesome, funny, friendly, so much history and knowledge that you wouldnt have gotten otherwise.This tour has been one of the highlights of our trip for sure.If youre worried about being rushed through since youre in a group, dont. You have ample time to see what you want before being at the meeting spot. Plus, on your pass, it says you can come back in the next 7 days for only $10. So dont worry!This tour is well worth every penny and then some! I wont spoil it with all the little perks surprises, but you will not be disappointed!

We booked Beyond the Call of Duty for the most complete tour of Pearl Harbor. It included entrance to all memorials, USS Arizona, USS Bowfin, USS Missouri, USS Oklahoma, the Aviation museum, drive by the Punchbowl Cemetery, city tour and they provide a lunch.Our driver and tour guide was Matt he was absolutely amazing, informative and had a good sense of humor. Matt was very prompt in the morning at the scheduled hotel we were supposed to be picked up at 6:10am. He had a couple of sweets for us early in the morning and plenty of water throughout the whole tour.Doing the Hoku tour was so worth the price, it might seem like 11hrs is a long time but believe me the time really flew by, well at least it did for us. They give you enough time to go through the memorials and the museums with plenty of time, Matt even told us where to go first before the crowd got there first. It came in handy too, we had time to go in the Bowfin by ourselves for the first 10mins without a big crowd lol. After we left thats when everyone started coming, so thanks Matt!!We would definitely book future tours with Hoku when we make a return visit.

Top notch tour. Some of the lookouts were closed, but that’s out of everyone’s control. Sure, it’s pricey but so is Hawai’i. Did the circle island tour with Pearl Harbor and had a top notch guide. Plenty of water, courteous, funny, and patient guide/driver. Covered a lot of ground. Breakfast donut provided and a delicious lunch included. Just a good way to see the island when you don’t have but a few days. Enjoyed the tour much more than laying out at Waikiki beach. We even saw a couple turtles. Glad I did it. Money well spent.

We all had so much fun with cousin Kevin! It was a big day but he kept us entertained and brought us to a variety of activities and sights. My favourite was eating Dole Whip ice cream, kayaking up the Anahulu River, and eating fresh coconut shrimp at the Tsue Farm. It was a lovely day and I came home with plenty of stories. Amazing its been a year, but we had a pleasure last year with Kane --- apologies for the incorrect spelling! We went to the Dole plantation, pineapple garden maze and NuUanu Pali Lookout to name a few.I wish to come again for another island tour in the future!

We came to Hawaii with the primary purpose of bringing my 75 year old father to Pearl Harbor, and so we wanted to get him the best tour possible. The Beyond the Call of Duty tour delivered everything we had hoped for. We were able to see every detail of Pearl Harbor with absolutely no effort. Our tour guide, Kevin, was absolutely awesome. His personality made our drive out fly by, and he is extremely knowledgeable about Hawaiin history. Awesome doesnt accurately describe our experience. This tour was worth every penny, and we were a group of six.

I will begin by saying the booking, explanation and pick up sequence of our tour was amazing. Our driver and narrator, Mark, was very knowledgeable and extremely detail oriented. We had a total of 25 people on our tour I believe and he made it a point to acknowledge and engage with every couple or group. We did the partial day - Pearl Harbor and USS MO tour. So far as Mark is concerned I would give him a 5 + stars if I could. Super clean and comfortable transportation. This was our first trip to HI and when we come back and should we take more tours I will be asking for Mark at Hoku. Well done!

This day was the best! Charlie was awesome! He was funny and kind. He gave us Hawaiian doughnuts ! The day was filled with information, and emotion and all the water we could drink! If you come to Oahu, you MUST put the Pearl Harbor on your list! ( and if you’re lucky your driver could be Charlie)

Today we took the circle Island Tour with Huko Tours. Marc was our driver and guide. We had many bathroom breaks, he provided water and had donuts for a snack in the morning. His history of the island was great. I learn so much today even though it’s been my fourth trip to Hawaii. He kept our attention for the whole day. I was amazed what we saw and accomplished on this trip. One of the best trips I’ve taken. Many stops along the way and a wonderful buffet luncheon learning to hula. Bus was very clean and comfortable. Such a great day! Marc deserves more than 5 stars awesome job today!

Our tour guide was Sam and it was the best tour out of all our tours the 11 days we were there. Great personality, very informative and kept us laughing all the way. Personally acknowledged each and everyone of his passengers. Sam knew everything there was to know about every place we went and even the animals. Thank you Sam for showing us Missouri ladies how Hawaii is at its best. I give this tour 100% and then some.

Wonderful Tour company. Very professional!Each guest is well taken care of, guides are very knowledgeable, food and setting for meal was great, and on time. A big Mahalo to our guide Paul. He took great care in making sure each guest was happy, taken care of, understood the where &when of our day. Great guy...lots of Hawaiian and WWII information.

Marc, out tour guide was informative and knowledgeable about history, flora and fauna of Hawaii. The tour had a nice balance of activities and photo opportunities. We also visited a new farro sustainable farm- a very interesting stop. Loved the variety- macadamia nut farm, Dole plantation- ( pineapple ice cream is a must) and saw many beautiful ocean and mountain scenes. Lunch included a cultural experience with a historical overview of the hula. A full day tour! Only caveat is have a jacket for the bus time- chilly!

We took the VIP Pearl Harbor tour. IT was fantastic. Matt was our guide for the whole day. He helped us through each of the sights and was so informative. The day started with locally made donuts and we had ice cold water offered all day long. The lunch was delicious and private. Well worth the money. Thanks Matt!!

What a fantastic tour! Cousin Kev was our guide and could not have been more attentive. We felt looked after from the moment we stepped on the bus. Kevs enthusiasm and passion for his island was quickly felt by all and his history of the Island(s) from the perspective of the indigenous people was very interesting and heartfelt. The only downside was that we couldnt stay longer at each stop. I would highly recommend this tour if you want to experience the northern part of Oahu. Ask for Kev as your guide, you will not be disappointed!

SAM is the best. My mom and I had a terrific time with Hoku and highly suggest travelling with them if you ever come to Hawaii. Super professional, and they are all the nicest people ever. We did the eco tour and it was absolutely amazing!!!Cousin Kev was our guide and made us feel like family from the very beginning. A very comprehensive tour of Oahu. We stopped at many breathtaking spots for photos. An immensely interesting stop at a family farm & learned a lot about Hawaiian ways of taking care if the earth. Lunch near the Polynesian cultural center and learned much about hula. I went on the Oahu Eco Adventure with my mum a day ago and had Kevin as our tour guide.... what an experience!!! We laughed so much and had had an absolute ball! Kevin just made the tour, with his knowledge about the island and little back stories to certain spots, it was amazing! Kevin also had little extras like donuts, pineapple, chocolate coated macadamias and cold water! At certain locations you couldn’t take your camera, but here was Kevin to the rescue taking photos which he sent to us all later on in the tour, so you never missed a special shot! He made everyone so welcomed... like we were one big family! I can not rate this tour high enough, it was one of the best tours I have taken in Hawaii...Thank you Kevin, you are amazing!!!!

We did the Pearl Harbour tour and had Charlie as our guide/driver. He was friendly, informed and ferried us around the site in order for us to meet all our timings. The tour itself was great, having Charlie made it even better. We had a very nice bus to take us around, with plenty of free bottles of ice cold water, and a treat of an Hawaiian doughnut each. We did the tour that includes the Missouri and the Arizona and had a great time. Our guide, Kapena, was both knowledgeable and friendly. His passion for the history of Hawaii made the entire experience worth every penny that we spent.

We wanted to see Pearl Harbor & the Arizona memorial but we were not interested to drive and we were concerned that we might not get there early enough to get the limited tickets for the Arizona memorial. Our excellent hotel concierge recommended a Hoku semi-tour (a 7.5 hour tour.) Our tour guide/driver, Paolo, was excellent & so was our day. Paolo is a super nice guy with interesting information to share and (quite simply) all 17 of us enjoyed our day with him. (In my experience, not all tour guides - are likable - but Paolo is.) Working as a tour guide is a really hard job & Paolo was a master of kindness, information sharing & organization. I highly recommend Hoku with Paolo. We loved our Pearl Harbor day (sad, informative, thoughtful, funny, etc) We will never forget Paolo’s tour & his stories. Grazie mille, Paolo.

This was one of the best bus tours my husband and I ever did. We were picked up at our hotel on time and the bus was clean and comfortable. Kauka was great! He certainly knows the island of Oahu and the history of the Hawaiian people. Lived every minute even though it rained off and on all day!

We had the best day! Certainly glad we took the tour because we never could have found these places on our own. Charlie was our guide and he was awesome. Being a native he had personal stories that were interesting and a vast knowledge of the island. Humor, too. He made sure we got good photo ops, rest stops, and offered water and snacks for the weary. He called us all by name and knew where we were from and could relate the sights to us. He answered all our questions fully. The overall quality of the tour was extraordinary, mostly because of his expertise. I highly recommend Charlie and Hoku.

We took the Pearl Harbor and USS Missouri tours and Kevin was our tour guide. The tour was very informative, efficient, convenient and most of all, FUN! Lunch was included. Kevin has been one of the best tour guides I have ever had. Love the tour mainly because of Kevin. We were taken care of really well!

We loved our tour with Kanamu. Her knowledge and great sense of humor made it a perfect day! Excellent driving skills combined with the perfect amount of information as we traveled helped build the day. The Pearl Harbor Memorial was phenomenal. Lunch was great! We had the best day!! Our tour guide was Isaiah, he was friendly, had a great sense of humour and was very informative. Our tour to Pearl Harbour was very well organised, punctual and well worth the money. It was a hot day and we were given cold bottled water and wet towels to freshen up, the bus was comfortable and air-conditioned. I highly recommend this tour company and would definitely book a tour with them again.

I look forward to Hoka tours letting me know why they did not disclose that about 25% of what was advertised to us was not available on new years eve day due to early closures Please explain as this tour was $ 175 per person It could have been exceptional

Our tour guide was Charlie. His family has lived in Hawaii for 5 generations. He has a lot of knowledge and does a great job. So nice to be on a small tour with personal service. We took the full day Pearl Harbor tour on Monday and the Island Eco tour on Tuesday. By luck, we had Charlie as our driver/tour guide both days. He did a GREAT job on both tours. We never felt rushed, always had time to take plenty of photos, good food and Charlie made sure we were well taken care of. .

Did a “north shore and rum tour” of Oahu.Driver and guide talked incessantly at the entire group about completely irrelevant things. Non stop. No breaks. It was unbearable.Drove by a cute little surfing town with lots of gift shops and restaurants but didn’t stop.We DID stop at the Dole Plantation’s cheesy gift shop (never saw the plantation), and had a really bad lunch at some roadside bar.Saw one run distillery. Nice marketing but very poor quality rum.Overall, a complete waste of time and money, and couldn’t wait for the tour to be over.

Cousin Kevin took excellent care of all of us. We were offered water, fried bananas, chocolate, lunch and a fabulous tour. Very knowledgable and very friendly. We were defin Italy treated like Ohana, and shown Aloha. Highly recommended

I am writing this as the tour is ending and have to say that this was an awesome experience. Paul was our guide and he was kind, knowledgable, and funny. He made my husband and I feel very good throughout our entire tour. We did the Cirlce Island Tour with Pearl Harbor and he told some of the most captivating stories. Thank you Paul for a great experience. I would recommend this tour (definitely with Pearl Harbor), but I would advise using it as an overview of the whole island so you can spend more time at the places that you found most interesting. We did it at the end, but will come back one day and rent a car to go to some of the places we saw. Thank you Hoku Tours, but most of all, thank you Paul!

My husband and I were on the 5 Star Circle Island With Pearl Harbor on Saturday, January 18 2020 @ 6:30am. Our original driver was Hao; however, his vehicle was damaged by another while we were at Pearl Harbor.We had expected Hao to pick us up at 9:30 AM. He finally arrived at 10:15 AM, which wasnt bad considering what all had happened since wed been dropped off.The problem was that no one from Hoku bothered to let us know there was a delay and when to expect Hao. My cell number was part of our registration.There was another Hoku vehicle near our pickup point at Pearl Harbor. I approached the bus and the driver (Jamison) opened the door. When I stepped in to attempt to ask about our bus, Jamison said - wrong bus, get off or get out, I am not sure which. He was extremely rude!!!!!The tour was good for the most part. We liked Hao and his replacement Kevin.The lunch at the Marriott Courtyard was very disappointing!!! The food was mediocre at best. The dancing was nice. I find it hard to believe that this was the location chosen to give the group an authentic Hawaiian tour and meal.Our group did not get to take in the last stop of Diamond Head. We missed the entrance by about 3 minutes. Not sure if Kevin knew what time they closed, but he should have and also should have cut a few minutes off another stop or two to ensure we made all stops on the tour.I feel there were a few areas in which the tour could be improved and a few more in which our situation was handled poorly. Further, I find it hard to believe that I was addressed as I was by your driver, Jamison!This message was sent directly to Hoku Tours on Jan 21 and 27 without reply.

Best tour ever on vacation Kevin the tour guide was the man he knew everything about the island he had headbands for the ladies. He gave us doughnuts, chocolate, fried bananas and pineapples. Kevin also played the ukulele and song some tunes. The tour of the island with this guy was awesome.

My parents did this when they were here last and highly recommended it.Hoku was the best rated and priced.Our tour guide Matt was AWESOME. Picked us up in a newer luxury coach and it was comfy and cool. Not to mention poi Malasadas for breakfast. He also provided us with ice cold waters throughout the day - which was very nice because it got pretty cookin that day. Let me tell you - Matt needs a raise - he was so informative, knowledgeable and not to mention had an awesome sense of humor. He knew all the ins and outs of EVERYTHING we did that day. Oh! We did the “beyond the call to duty” which included pick-up/drop-off at our hotel, USS MO, Arizona, museums and a tour of tuff in downtown with the punchbowl cemetery. Matt is awesome - if you get him you are lucky but it sounds like everyone at Hoku is just downright amazing. Definitely will recommend those to people. Matt if you see this —> I’m sorry you had to deal with cranky old people in the back of our bus from the other hotel who were late on their own flight. They were dumb and probably had sand in places that they didn’t need that day. You were awesome and keep up the great work bro! MAHALO!

Cousin Kev was our tour guide and he went ABOVE AND BEYOND. He played his ukulele, learned all of our names, and took pictures and airdropped them to us from when we went swimming by the waterfall and paddle boarding/kayaking. He literally carried his phone in a plastic bag filled with rice to take photos of us. Meeting him was the highlight of our trip. The guy needs a raise!

Very nice guy Our tour was amazing thanks to “Kane “ . I will be recommend him to my family and friends that come from a far!!! Sure worth it!!! I really wish we had a beach stop!!! While the tour wasnt bad per say, it was 10 times the cost of other tours offering the same thing. Lunch was a stale bun burger made of some meat that was not beef. I guess what Im saying is dont take advantage of tourists just because you can. $300 is absurd and dont waste your money. Tour guide was nice and I dont hold him personally responsible. Sorely disappointed!!!

Had the best tour around the island.Pickup was easy and meet by cousin Kev...He made it his job to know everyone by name on the tour..His interaction with us made the tour a delight..he explained where we were going and when ever there was a question hed answer it..nothing was a bother and when you needed a photo he was there to take it for you..lunch a snack and fresh pineapple along with drinks were provided along with cousin Kevs humor.Recomend this tour and ask for cousin Kev..hes one cool Hawaiian to go around the island with.

My wife and I are celebrating our 35th anniversary in Hawaii and were directed to Hoku tours by Heather at the Outrigger Waikiki Beach. We did the circle island tour and were so fortunate to have Kevin Wong as our guide. I have been on numerous tours over the years and Kevin was just superior today. His knowledge of so many things about Oahu and Hawaiian and military history was impressive. I am a WWII history buff and he knew so many facts that he shared during our trip that was just outstanding. His demeanor was extremely pleasant, friendly and easy going. Just what my wife and I needed to start our vacation. Kevin, thanks a million for a great day with your tour. You deserve a raise. Mahalo. Al and Janet from Pa and the USAF.

This was my first vacation alone. First tour bus . Feb 11,2019. I did the circle tour. Sam made the trip. He made sure everyo e was accounted for. Shared great stories. He even paires me with a lady from Winapeg. Knowledgeable.

We had a wonderful tour guide (popao) sorry if I spelled it wrong. He was so entertaining, thoughtful and gave this wonderful Island history. We took the Pearl harbor tour. He was very proud of us, because not one of us took bags!!He even remembered the info of our friends,50th and played a special song for them.A wonderful lunch at the air museum. It was worth the long day.Aloha my friend.

Very expressive but sum what worth the money. Pros: Tour guide was very funny and very informaitive on the bus. His job is to just be your peronal taxi service. Thats all! He is not your personal tour guide! The breakfast purple Donut is very good. Free water during you whole tour and the food was very good hot fresh and very moist pork and fish make sure you fill your plate the first time around. The bus was newer and very comfortable as well. Was able to get on the Arizona before it closed.The sub is a get experience. The museum was set up well to. The USS Missiouri was nice being able to go thoughout the ship wish we had more time hear. Ford field was way above my expectations and even had a golf cartTo shuttle people between hangers.CONS: Paid for 10hour tour $198 each person and was only 8hours I should be refunded for the other 2 hours. Pearl Harbour experience was rushed do to a time limit on the bus leaving and wish we could have used that extra hour hear !! And the extra hour at the USS Missiouri. Once hear we still had to wait in line like everyone else. We prepaid for tickets isn’t their a better way and to just go right in instead of wasting 30mins getting tickets and head sets.Overall: Would I pay for it again. No. But if its your first time to the island. Then its money well spent. Wish I could have gotten my moneys worth.

Did a round the island tour in july of Oahu our tour guide Kelly was awesome she was very informative and was a great fun we had a fantastic time, would recommend this tour anytime .I left my camera on the bus and Kelly knew we were doing Pearl harour tour next day, She tracked me down and returned my camera what a legend thanks Kelly great service .Ray from Australia

Cousin Kevin, our tour guide, was both entertaining and informative. We have never had a guide so into his clients comfort. We were treated to taro root doughnuts at the start of the tour. Later in the day we were treated to chocolates,as well as Everytime we stopped we were asked if we would like ice water. He was prepared with umbrellas and ponchos if needed. He had two trivia question giveaways. We were all given nice totebags at the end of the day. I would recommend asking for Kevin. Thank you, Kevin, for making our day rememable.

Thanks Cousin Kevin for a thoroughly enjoyable and very informed tour around Oahu. We saw and experienced so many amazing things (despite the awful weather) making this one of the absolute highlights of our trip. Mahalo for the laughs and the memories :-)

I found Hoku Tours to be a great way to see the Island of Oahu. I took 2 nature tours. The Eco and the North Shore tour. They picked me up promptly at the specified time - unlike other city tours where I have been left waiting for long periods of time. This company is very professional.The Eco is a great way to see the whole island in a day. Works if you have only a little time to work with or you want a preview of your options. The North Shore tour allows you to spend the day really getting to know this section in more detail. I enjoyed the guides who also drove the vans. They were extremely knowledgable, helpful and humorous. They each had their own personality. But they both made efforts to connect with each guest in some way. The vans were beautiful and comfortable with clean windows that allowed me to take clear, spectacular pictures even when we were driving along. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Hoku Tours to anyone. Well worth the money when you weigh it against car rental. Plus each tour included admission prices, rental equipment, AND excellent lunch at a non-commercial food establishment.I love this company. More should model their business practices after this one.
