I initially found my apartment with Island Realtors off of Craigslist. The landlord, Jan Kim who I was contacted by was easy dealing with upon me viewing; filling out an application with, and later moving in to my apartment located at 1420 Alapai St #403. Based off the initial showing alone with Jan, I had no interest in looking elsewhere because I loved the way the apartment was presented to me and the way I was treated.I enjoyed and loved my short period living at Alapai while stationed at Marine Corps Base Kaneohe Bay; my neighbors I dearly miss. Now living on the mainland (Chicago Illinois), I often tell others about my neighbors I had in Hawaii because they watched out for me while living in this apartment, and sometimes brought over food to me during the holidays. My neighbors were truly my initial experience of the aloha spirit, and educator of many things on-and-outer island. Another great thing about my apartment at Alapai was the beautiful view I had outside of my lanai; I had views of the sunrise and sunsets along with Friday evening fireworks at Waikiki.Honestly, if I were ever to move back to Honolulu, I would not hesitate to look up Island Realtors again due to my experience with while being stationed in Oahu.Thomas G
