I am a health care professional who suffered from frequent headaches and severe migraines until I started Botox treatment of my chewing muscles with Dr. Yew. I have always worn clear retainers at night to serve as a guard against my strong clenching habit and would always carry my prescription migraine medication with me but that wasn’t enough. I’ve been going to Aesthetics Hawaii for over a year now. My latest visit has hands down been the best experience I’ve had with any injector ever!! Dr. Yew has a brand new injection called RHA fillers and they’re just amazing! My whole life I’ve been insecure about having a cleft chin. I’ve always wanted to see I would look like without the defining line in the middle of my face. Most injectors just turned me away or said it was unnecessary until today!!! The RHA fillers were the perfect filler for a subtle tweak that truly changed my whole look! I’m super excited about the new more feminine feel my face has. I recently moved back to Hawaii after graduating from school and I knew Dr. Yew would be one of the first people I would be visiting.It always impresses me to see how much his practice evolves each visit; this time did not disappoint. This made the whole process painless.It’s been ten days since I received Botox from Dr. Yew in my masseters and crows feet. And the results are exactly what I was looking for. When I smile, I no longer have wrinkles on the side of my eyes, one of my biggest insecurities when taking photos.My masseters now feel so much less tension (I have TMJ). If I could give this doctor less than one star, I would. He is dishonest and condescending. He will recommend more botox units than the injected areas actually need, therefore he profits more. I went back to him as a follow-up to let him know that based on his injections, a new problem that did not occur prior (it was obviously visible), happened... he was condescending and did not take responsibility. Just to let you know, even if you have set an appt. with him, he is concurrently working on other patients, thus continually gets interrupted by his assistants coming in and out of the room. He is unfocused and repeat, dishonest. This review was a long time coming but really, I dont want others wasting their money on a doctor that does not serve you with the highest integrity and expertise. There are other physicians worthy of your time.

Highly recommend. The goal is to get an injector that has a lot of experience but still is knowledgeable in the latest techniques and products and incorporates this into the services. Dr. Yew is that unicorn that is exactly that. On my 1st appointment, he really listened to my goals and problem areas and made suggestions but was not pushy about them, I opted not to go forward with them and just got the botox I had booked the appointment for. On my second appointment I came back and revisited his suggestions from last time and went ahead with what he suggested. OMG he was so right. I appreciate that he didnt push anything but I regret not having done them months ago! He and the staff and so sweet and he is his skill level is phenomenal

Shout out to Aesthetics Hawaii and aesthetician Pua’ena. The office is super sanitary and the staff make you feel comfortable at your first meeting. Pua’ena recently gave me a microneedling session using the SkinPen to help me with my skin texture concerns. The procedure was painless - I LOVE their numbing cream. Previously I would hesitate to have microneedling done because of the discomfort - not any more. I plan to go back regularly for maintenance. Bonus - lots of ample parking at Ala Moana center.

I have been seeing Dr. Yew for my migraines for over a year now. I can’t believe I had been living my life unnecessarily suffering through headaches for so long! Who knew botox could be used to cure headaches without insurance?! Dr. Yew is very thorough and explains exactly what he’s doing and why. Ive been seeing Dr Yew for over 8 years now I couldnt be happier with my results.For starters, his office is in a super convenient location next to Ala Moana shopping center with easy parking. Hes even open on Saturdays which is amazing for those of us who work M-F 9 to 5. I have tried both calling and emailing to make appointments and his staff is always super attentive and get back to me right away to schedule an appointment. Theyve been able to fit me in on incredibly short notice the last two Saturdays I went.Dr Yew provides initial consults for free and is incredibly honest and thorough. I never once felt like he was trying to sell me anything or pressure me to get extra procedures. I really felt like he cared about me as an individual and I was amazed how long he spent answering all of my questions at my first appointment. Even at my second appointment he was just as thorough and ensured that all of my questions were answered. He is all about setting realistic expectations and giving you a natural look. With all of the time and attention to detail that Dr Yew provides, I was expecting that he would charge more but his prices are incredibly reasonable. He also works to make sure you can get every manufacturer rebate and discount possible.About his injection technique - I like that Dr Yew draws up the Botox right in front of you so you can see what you are getting. I was also very impressed by his injection technique and learned a thing or two from him. I was expecting a painful injection experience reminiscent of a dentist appointment where I normally sit there tensing up in the chair. Instead, Dr Yew gave me meditation balls to hold and walked me through guided focused breathing exercises much like a yoga instructor. I’m an active, healthy 28 year old. I go to the gym 5 times a week but haven’t been able to lose the inches around my midsection. I visited Aesthetics Hawaii looking for some assistance. After a thorough consultation, 2 treatments of Cool Sculpting to my “flanks” was recommended. I’m completely new to this field but Morgan, my coolsculpter, was very experienced, answered all my questions, walked me through my entire treatment plan, was sure to get the exact areas I wanted gone and was even able to do my treatment that same day. It’s only been 2 weeks but I feel like I can already tell a difference!!

Dr. Yew is SO AMAZING! I went to him for lip filler & botox. Ive previously gotten lip filler & botox with Dr. Shim Chings office but because I didnt have the best experience, I wanted to try somewhere new. And lets just say Dr. Yew has completely converted me. I wont go anywhere else now! He took his time with me to make sure I understood the process and he answered all my questions. He made me feel so at ease and I loved the vibe of the entire staff.For the actual injecting, the pain was not bad at all. The botox injection barely felt like anything and the lip filler was maybe a 2/5. He only used the topical numbing cream and Id still say it was less painful then with the other provider (who also did a dental block.) He really does have a magic touch and he knows what hes talking about.My lips are still slightly swollen from the injection but I dont look crazy & Ive had pretty much ZERO pain after the injections. Which to me is so amazing considering the last time I was left looking like a duck swollen for weeks and in pain for almost an entire week.Cannot recommend him enough! Will definitely be going back and I cant wait to try their facials as well.

Dr Yew used the plasma pen on my face to smooth the texture and lighten some age spots. My skin looks brighter and feels lighter. I am so pleased with the results. No pain and was a very easy recovery with very little downtime.

I have severe teeth grinding that, over time, has not only given me pain in my jaws but has made my jaws look larger. I decided to do something about it and made an appointment with Aesthetics Hawaii. I met Dr. Yew who explained in detail about my symptoms and concluded that I had severe TMJ. He suggested that I get Botox injections on my jaw muscles along with muscles near my temples. I decided with the procedure and boy, am I glad that I did! Its been only a week since the injections but my teeth grinding must have eased as I no longer have pain in my jaw. Also, I noticed that my jaws are looking thinner as a bonus. Phenomenal experience with Aesthetics Hawaii at their Honolulu location. I was treated by Dr. David Yew. Im 28 years old and it was my first time for Botox. The staff was pleasantly welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. I was also impressed with how knowledgable they were about procedures and all the products they carry. Customer service at Aesthetics Hawaii is top notch. The office was modern, stylish and very clean. Parking is free and easy at Ala Moana.But now for the important part, what I found that set Aesthetics Hawaii apart from other offices was their tailored consultation that focused on the aging process which gave me knowledge and an overall plan that took into account budget and realistic expectations. The integrity in the staff stood out to me most and made me confident that I was being cared for by a honest, caring staff that also clearly had good taste. I learned so much and felt I was being genuinely cared for. Their business philosophy was obvious: Treat others the way you want to be treated. My first visit was focused on doing dysport (botox) in my masseter muscles. I have noticed my face has gotten much wider as Ive gotten older and instead of a “V” shape - it now looks more “U like. Just 3 weeks since my treatment I noticed less clenching, headache and my face looks slimmer like a V!Ive returned and also got botox treatment for my #11s (between my eyes, forehead) and a consultation for ZO skin care line to use at home. Ive noticed a big difference in my forehead after the first week. No more angry face! I have been seeing Dr. Yew for 10 years, and I highly recommend him for any of your aesthetic needs! He is professional, knowledgeable, and he genuinely cares about his clients well-being. Aloha! I visited Dr. Yews office last week for lip fillers. With all the chaos in the world happening now I just wanted to do something special for myself. Ive had fillers many of times previously on the mainland and abroad - I can say hands down this was the best experience thus far! I instantly felt at ease on arrival. I was check in outside the office, had my temperature taken and paperwork to complete ensuring I hadnt been exposed to COVID19. Upon entering I was swiftly taken into Dr. Yews office to discuss treatment goals and expectations. Im 26 and usually go for a fuller Kylie Jennerish look. Dr. Yew kindly explained to me that a more natural look would be better fit for my face shape and overall be more proportional. I was hesitant at first, then he showed me the difference in the fillers I had previously had (Perfecta) and what he recommended for me (Kysse). After his explanation I decided I should try it, after all he is master in the field. All I can say now is WOW I am so happy I did! The difference is impeccable without being over the top. First ever Botox experience - it was phenomenal! I’m a 26 year old who has always suffered from horrible migraines, especially when stressed. I was skeptical for using Botox to treat migraines but after talking to Dr. Yew I was amazed to realize the benefits, and to find that I had been suffering from TMD without even knowing it! He answered all of my questions throughly and eased my anxieties over needles entirely! Together we decided on 50 units of Botox in my masseter (jaw) muscle and 30 in my temporalis muscle. I IMMEDIATELY felt relief in my frontal forehead area! I’m excited for my results to continue to set in. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for migraine relief!

Dr yew is a lifesaver. I went in originally to get Botox in my forehead. But he noticed that I had tmj so he recommended that I do my masseter instead. I have been suffering with bad tmj and migraine headaches everyday and thought that’s how I just have to live my life everyday. But I’m so glad that Dr yew recommended to do my masseter first. My headaches is almost completely gone and the pressure on my head that I had constantly is so much better. If you suffer from tmj I suggest you go to aesthetics Hawai’i. Thanks Dr yew!

The service started all good, then it just went all down hill. I still had one more treatment to do and scheduled for that treatment, the doc just called in to cancel the appt which was ok because they promised to re-schedule sometime during the week. BUT, I never received a phone call from them, so I had to follow up but they told me the doc was fully booked. So apparently the doc just didnt consider me at all. And I was so upset because I am going back to work soon and the down time is at least 10-14 days for me, i dont want to go back work with a red face, so I asked was there any chance to squeeze in an appt during the week, the receptionist told me to let the doc call me back but once again, she never did!! And when I tried to call again, my call went to their Voice Mail directly!! Worst experience with Dermatology Center EVER!! I will never go back to this center EVER AGAIN!!

I want to commend Dr David Yew and his team. I have been a client since 2015 and had many procedures to include botox, fillers, and most recently PDO Threads. Dr Yew is truly a master of his craft and customizes technique specific to each person. If you are looking for the best on Oahu, look no further.

I received a treatment at Aesthetics Hawaii called the “Diamond Glow”, which is a new machine that exfoliated, extracted, and infused a serum into my skin. I received the pore clarifying serum which was perfect for my skin since I had some break outs. After the treatment, my skin felt so soft and I noticed my pores were cleaner. They also showed me the container of liquid with the dirt and gunk that came out of my skin and let me tell you, it was gross. Thank you for removing that debris from my face! Highly recommend! I also started using the ZO products that they sell and I noticed a HUGE difference with my acne and skin. Aside from the 4 days traveling into cold weather, my skin did fluctuate a little, but I am back on the regimen and my skin is so much better! I use the gentle cleanser, exfoliating polish, and the oil- controlling pads. Love the ZO products. Sunscreen is also a must and since I ran out, I tried out the tinted SPF 44 ULTA sunscreen and it is so smooth unlike other ones that feel so thick and hard to spread around your face. AND it gives me so added color. If you haven’t tried a service or product, I would recommend trying it because it works!

I’m giving this place two stars because I think that their customer service on the phone is poor. . The girl that answered my phone this afternoon was not helpful and not very polite. It definitely made me look at other facilities. I would hate to take time off work for a consultation and be treated with the same mannerisms on location as I was on the phone. Peoples time is valuable and precious it’s not an entitlement to get somebody service.

I love coming here for my dermapen treatments. Rita is the absolute BEST and will take great care of you. She is the utmost professional and the results are AMAZING. I have a small scar on my forehead that is virtually disappearing with each treatment.The staff is also wonderful and they make you feel as if you are family. My first time experience with getting fillers, and Simione was great. She gave me the best bang for my dollar (So she s said) Initial I did see a little difference around my nasal folds. She asked what my main concerns were and I had told her the deep lines around my mouth. From what Ive read it takes a little time for product to settle. Its been 4 days.. except for around my nose there is absolutly no difference. The product she injected was Radesse. She told me it was calicum based thicker then some of the other products and much more product per syringe. The price was $1000 but gave me $200 off for first time customer. Bottle line For $800 and for not 1 person to notice a difference. So unhappy.

This is a follow up from my first visit. (See below) I got Botox in my masseter muscle for the first time and it was a great experience. I suffer from tension headaches and I was a little nervous but Dr. Yew thoroughly explained what to expect and made me comfortable. A week after my treatment the Botox kicked in. It helped with my jaw tightness and headaches because it reduced the clenching in my jaw muscles. It made a dramatic difference bc I had less pain and tension. It also made my face look slimmer because those jaw muscles reduced in size, thats a nice perk! Its been 3 months since my treatment and Im starting to clench again. So Im looking forward to getting this done and feeling better again soon. Im very pleased and I highly recommend getting this treatment!First timer!Amazing first experience-tons of parking at Ala Moana and easy to find. I have tried this place for laser and I had really bad experience, first the lady didnt stop to say how much hurts it is, if you professional you shouldnt say something like that to your customers! She didnt stop to say it...I have luck that I did before laser so I know how to feel if not I been running from there. She was really really slow and not professional my aunt doing laser for many years and she teaching all over the world different technique, when she did to me the laser I never felt like I felt in this place, I never felt the heat so bad she burned me in my lips its really hard to see in the picture and its after a couple days but its really worst and deep. Plus theyre really expensive for nothing. Definitely not coming back there.

I went to see Leilani for some injectables. I felt like I look tired and my face was losing volume. I went in wanting some injections in my cheeks and my lips done. Leilani was awesome. She took a look at my face & asked me what I didnt like or what I saw and she told me that she thought I should have the cheeks done and the chin/bottom of the face. She was honest about my lips and said I have volume already and she doesnt think putting any filler in will give me the volume Im looking for because of my lip shape. I wasnt exactly sure what I wanted but I knew I wasnt happy at what I was looking at.I wrote this long review to let you know you can go ask her what she thinks you need and she can look at your face and know whats going to work for you. Nobody would look at me and see a huge difference because its so subtle but all of a sudden now my face is full and it looks brighter and I dont look tired at all in fact I look extremely rested. Its very natural looking people will know you look better they just wont know why. Shes super sweet and she absolutely knows what shes doing. I will be back to keep this maintenance up.

Decent experience Ill be back because Im starting to be more comfortable there and the ladies know what their doing. I dont give it 5 stars just because as a person who has never had botox or fillers ever I expected them to walk me through the process and I felt more like they expected me to already know everything. AMD the parking is just a little far away. Overall I like the place and will continue to go.

I went in for a laser treatment for my dark spots. Dr. Yew was very professional and his staff very courteous. I was amazed at the results, and will go back for more! I am also on the Obagi skin care regimen and Dr. Yew was very thorough in explaining how to apply the products.

I received a CoolScupting treatment at Aesthetics Hawaii 3 weeks ago. I was tired of my double chin and a friend of mine recommended me to go see Tanya the number one cool sculpter in the Nation! So I did. I called the office and scheduled for a consultation. Amazingly you can get a consult and treatment at the Dane time! The office ladies are very nice and helpful. It was bit hard for me to fit my schedule in with the availability but the front office worked very hard to get me in. I ended up getting 3 cycles on my chin and I will follow up to keep everyone informed on my results- bring that it’s too soon! I am an RN at Aesthetics Hawaii and today was my very first treatment for Coolsculpting with Tanya Hall. I was dual sculpted (used 2 machines at the same time) and underwent treatment for my flanks and back fat. Tanya was very professional and made the experience very comfortable. I even took a short nap. The whole procedure took about 2 1/2hours for consult, photos and treatment. When the treatment was completed I felt a little itching and numbness in the area but I attribute that to the fat cells dying. I’m excited to see my results as it can take up to 6-8 weeks to see the full result. Before and after photos to follow. Overall, great experience will lilttle pain and absolutely no downtime.

I’m a 45 yo mom of 2 kids. I think I’m in good shape. I’ve always had that loose fat that hangs around the bottom of my arms. No matter how much I exercise - it just doesn’t go away. Im a 39 yo female - mom of 2 kids. Aesthetics Hawaii is my one stop shop for all things aesthetics. I have received botox and dysport, revanesse versa fillers, vampire facials and microneedling, and chemical peels.My most recent visit was for my first vampire facial with Tanya. I had received microneedling in the past but it is incomparable to my results with the addition of PRP aka platelet rich plasma.I was hesitant to try micro needling with PRP because I dread getting my blood drawn, but when Tanya did it there was no pain! She also numbed me twice for extra comfort when I told her I am sensitive to pain. She put numbing cream on me for twenty minutes, wiped it off then put it on again for another 15 minutes.The treatment itself only took about 25 minutes and was very comfortable. But what really amazed me was my healing time. It was significantly less than microneedling without PRP. Tanya explained to me that this is normal as the PRP have healing factors that speed up the process. So I had less redness and puffiness than usual, and I was only slightly red for three days.She gave me oxygenetix so there was no social down time. Oxygenetix is a concealer/foundation with aloe and antibacterial, my skin loved it and it didn’t make me break out! I went to dinner the next day and no one noticed! At the six week mark was when I could really tell a difference in my skin. I had tighter pores, more even skin tone, and a brighter appearance! Thank you Tanya!

For starters, the office is in a super convenient location at Ala Moana center with easy parking. Theyre open on Saturdays which is good for me bc I work during the weekdays. The office staff is friendly and they got back to me right away to schedule an appointment.Now for my lip fillers! I was nervous and scheduled a free consult just to get info. Dr Yew is very honest and thorough as he explained things I never knew - proportions, assymetry, how Asian lips are different in size, etc... There was no pressure me to get it done and I really felt like he cared about me/ I was surprised at how long he spent answering all of my questions! Even at my second appointment he was just as thorough and ensured that all of my questions were answered. Hes all about setting realistic expectations and giving you a natural look. With all of the time and attention to detail that Dr Yew provides, I thought he would charge more but his prices were very affordable.About his injection technique - Im a pharmacist and have given thousands of flu shots over my career, so I tend to watch other health care professionals closely. I like that Dr Yew shows the product right in front of you so you can see what you are getting. I was also very impressed by his injection technique as there was no bruising or pain. Instead, Dr Yew gave me meditation balls to hold and walked me through guided focused breathing exercises much like a yoga instructor. I actually finished my appointment feeling even more relaxed than when I came in. You can tell that he has given thousands of injections in his career.Dr Yews skill and bedside manner is really special and the customer service that his entire staff provides cant be beat. I would highly recommend Dr Yew to anyone.

Doctor David Yew is very rude! I will never go back to have Botox done with him! I have no idea what kind of Botox he used on me! He caused my under eye twitching and he said there is nothing to do with his injection. I understand sometimes doctor may inject a bit wrong and caused twitching! I wasn’t there to blame him, but to ask if there is anyway to fix it but he gave me an insulting look and laugh that I was too obsessed with it and said that the twitching was always there but I I didn’t notice till the Botox is done! So irresponsible doctor! And he said ‘’Botox is not for you in that case!’’I went to a different doctor and discovered that there are 3 types of Botox! He confirmed with me that a cheap brand of Botox or wrong injection can cause twitching! Before injection, make sure to look at Botox bottle with Allergan on it! My new doctor showed me the bottle of Botox that he would use on me and I got my jawlines done and happy with it!

Omigod Rita is my new beauty enhancing, filler injecting, life saving best friend ever! I’ve always wanted fuller lips, but the sheer thought of a needle stabbing my mouth was enough to make me cringe and cry. But then, out of nowhere this glorious syringe wielding angel (Rita) appeared and snuffed out all traces of anxiety that once doomed me to live thin-lipped for all eternity. I wanted to share my exceptional experience that I received Aesthetics Hawaii by Dr. David Yew. I have had 2 years of Botox, injectable fillers and lasers at several other medi-spas throughout Honolulu. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable and the customer service is outstanding. The office is modern, clean and professional and there is tons of convenient parking at Ala Moana. What was unique is they gave me a free detailed consultation that focused on the aging process, which gave me an overall plan that took into account budget, realistic expectations, and honesty. It was very different than any other place Ive been. I not only learned a lot but also felt they genuinely cared for. Their business philosophy was very honest: Treat others the way you want to be treated. That stuck with me. My first visit was focused on doing dysport (botox) in my masseter muscles. I have noticed my face has gotten wider over the years. It’s been several weeks and I now have less clenching, headache and my face looks slimmer like a V! I look very natural and even my husband didn’t notice. I also recently went back for my first lip fillers. I was anxious at first but was given numbing cream, a dental block and acupressure balls. We discussed the options between Juvederm (Volbella or Vollure) and Restylane (Refyne or Defyne) and we decided to do a half syringe of Restylane Refyne. I have naturally full lips so I wanted something conservative. I was told that I could add more later if I liked it. I didn’t want the big overblown “duck lips” and they reassured me that “less was more”. Wow! My lips look so natural and defined. There was a little bit of swelling (which I didn’t mind LOL) and the discomfort was minimal. I can’t wait to see what it looks like in the months to come. Finally, I’m really excited about the ZO (Zein Obagi) Skin Health products that I just started. I have tried many kinds of products before (SkinMedica, Skinceuticals, etc…) and my skin is glowing. It’s the new improved Obagi line and I’m a big fan of the exfoliating scrub and primer sunscreen! I’m just so happy that I found the right place for me. Dr. Yew and Amy Biggs are both true artists and professionals. Just ask for their honest opinion and theyll give it. I highly recommend this place!

I recently went to Aesthetics Hawaii and got a lip filler treatment with Rita. I naturally have full lips but wanted it to be a little fuller, especially on the bottom lip. She used 1 syringe to contour my upper lip and to add volume to my bottom lip. She also did a little on my chin for subtle overall balance. I love my results! I also purchased Oxygenetix with Rita, Oxygenetix is a anti-bacterial breathable post-procedure foundation that reduces social downtime, conceals while healing and great for daily use for healthy skin. It also has spf 25 UVA/UVB ✨There are a wide range of shades, my shade is Creme. This is an amazing product, I no longer have to worry about my foundation clogging my skin when wearing it all day in this island humidity. Great to use everyday, even when working out! I apply it daily with my finger tips or when layering for more coverage I use a foundation brush. Great service overall, I can’t wait to go back! 👄 💓

Dr. Yew is a true professional. I had a pleasure of witnessing a presentation by Dr Yew about the fillers and Botox, and I was very impressed by his attention to detail, and willingness to explain every detail pertaining to the procedure. His presentation covered in depth the background information about the procedures, all the whys, dos and donts of having fillers and Botox. At the end of his presentation not only I felt that my knowledge has increased, but I was able to witness his work in a live presentation. What I liked the most is the fact that he was using some kind of infra red device that allowed him to see where exactly where the veins were in order to avoid hitting them. My wife had fillers under her eyes done at another practice before and they hit a vein under her eye. It immediately bruised and for the next month I was getting funny looks when I was with her in public places. Well, this is not likely going to happen at Dr Yew. Following his presentation my wife booked an appointment with Dr. Yew and we are looking forward to having our first appointment with him.

Vampire Facial with Liquid Gold! Last week I went in to see Megan for another microneedling session. We added platelet rich plasma to the treatment; so she ended up drawing my blood, spinning it and using the PRP that was separated at the top. She also had numbed me twice for extra comfort. I put on the numbing cream for 20 minutes washed it off, then put it on again for another 20 minutes.The whole treatment was really educational and she made me feel at ease as she described what she was doing and the sensation I was feeling. The feeling of the microneedling at first is a little startling because of the noise and pressure but It really isnt bad at all. Id give it a 4 out of 10 and the treatment lasted less than half an hour.At the end of the treatment my face felt taut from the PRP she told me to keep it on for 5 hours and gave me all the post treatment recommendations.My face was normal within three days; Im usually pretty red and puffy for at least 5 to 7 days! Less downtime than Ive ever had with the dermapen, thanks to the PRP! And with the oxygenetix foundation she gave me (my color is creme) there was zero downtime! Typically I dont want to put on ANYTHING after my microneedling treatments but this stuff I slathered on because it felt so soothing and covered up any trace of redness! It has aloe, antimicrobial, and mineral sunscreen! So lucky to have found this place and appreciate all the knowledge they share about treatment as well as amazing results based treatments! Let me start off by saying I never thought I would get Botox, especially in my 20’s. Recently botox (disport) was introduced to me by a friend and explained to me that it is a naturally occurring substances placed into the muscles to relax areas that are prone to wrinkles. And after some research of my own, all of the sudden it wasn’t so scary and intimidating as I thought. I went in for a consultation because I was beginning to notice lines across my forehead, which I felt made me look older, and the lines around my eyes were bothering me. Let me tell you first hand, Doctor Yew is meticulous and thorough. I thought maybe I was too young to do botox but he informed me that it is not about age but the appearance of lines at rest and the strength of the facial muscles.After a very long and detailed consultation we decided to treat my forehead, crows feet/laugh lines with Dysport. He informed me that in 3-7 days I would no longer be able to create the wrinkles because the botox relaxes the muscle causing them. Without the source causing the wrinkle I would no longer get lines at rest, and the look would also be much softer and boy was he right! I couldn’t be happier with the results. The crow’s feet injection made my smile look much softer. And I am so happy not to see those lines across my forehead. Overall I feel like this has given me a younger and refreshed look.

Fabulous practice! I received Botox on my masseters to help with TMJ (headaches and soreness from jaw clenching) from Dr Yew about a week ago, and Ive already stopped getting headaches and jaw soreness. Dr. Yew is extremely experienced and has a natural eye for aesthetics (he is a true artist!). Dr. Yew also used meditation and other distractions to put me at ease during my treatment which made the injections extremely easy and as pain free as possible.Today, I received Coolsculpting from Tanya Hall on my abdomen and flanks. Tanya specializes in coolsculpting and has many years of experience (she actually attended the Coolsculpting university!). The assessment was informative and Tanya made me feel very comfortable. Tanya explained the expected results, as well as any possible side effects and made me feel very safe and well taken care of. Although the treatment itself was not painful for me, the extreme cooling sensation was a bit uncomfortable in the beginning. However, after the first round I was able to get used to the tingling and slight burning sensation. Tanya also kept me talking and distracted me from any discomfort, as well as let me know what was happening during every part of the treatment. I am looking forward to seeing the results and will update my review in a few months!I have also been using Latisse (eyelash growth serum) for about a year and I cant even tell you how amazing it is. My natural lashes are straight and medium length Asian lashes. However, after using Latisse, the number one compliment I get is on my lashes. People are constantly asking if theyre real or extensions. I always recommend Latisse because it is a miracle worker. I started noticing results after just a month and now my lashes are probably doubled in length, are much thicker, and even half a slight curl now! Although the bottle of Latisse is small, because you only need to use a small amount it lasts me around 6 months!All in all, Dr. Yew and the Aesthetics Hawaii team are wonderful. All of his staff including the front desk are extremely welcoming and make you feel right at home. I definitely recommend seeing Dr. Yew and Tanya, as well as any of the other specialists for any aesthetic or non surgical needs. Since summer began I have gained 10lbs, yet everyone keeps asking me if Ive lost weight. I can definitely see that my face appears slimmer, and even better, I no longer have jaw pain. I went in for a second treatment as I felt some stiffness in my jaw, and I can already feel my jaw starting to loosen.I also tried PDO threads (which help build collagen) in my neck and jawline to help with some laxity in my chin area as well as a preventative aging measure. Dr. Yew was amazing, and used a combination of meditation, ice, vibration, and acupuncture balls to make the treatment completely pain free and comfortable.At 8 weeks post-coolsculpting, I have already noticed a difference in my stomach. My friends have told me that my stomach appears tighter (despite gaining weight this summer). I am told that the best results are seen after 3 months, so Im excited to see even more improvement. I had CoolSculpting for the first time on my abdomen and flanks. I have had 2 children and I am 5’5” - 120lbs and am in good health. I exercise regularly, eat healthy and my weight is consistent. My main concern was to get the stubborn fat and loose skin from my pregnancies to go away in my belly. Wow! It’s been 3 months and my belly looks like it used to be before pregnancy. Surprisingly - the skin is tighter and I can’t see the loose skin anymore. I had 4 cycles at Aesthetics Hawaii with Tanya Hall - who was very informative and honest regarding recovery, pricing and expectations. I had DualSculpting which was using 2 CoolSculpting machines at the same time. It took only 25 minutes for 2 cycles on my belly and there was no downtime. They placed a gel and an applicator which was cold for the first minute but very tolerable. Like putting your foot in cold water - once you get used to it - it was fine. I was able to read my emails and got some work done. Then I had another 2 cycles on my flanks. It permanently reduced the fat in my belly and I could see results after 4 weeks. There was some numbness to the skin for a week but other than that - you couldn’t tell anything was done.The office is centrally located in Honolulu - at Ala Moana center (above Bank of Hawaii) with plenty of parking. The office is clean, modern and the front desk is so helpful and friendly.I am so happy with my results. I was so pleased with the results of my treatment. I had an IPL Laser treatment for pigment and some vascular problems on my face. The photo facial was painless with no downtime. They have the newest laser in Hawaii - and the technology is amazing. The skin rejuvenation given by the laser was by far the best Ive had. The brown spots are not gone - but much lighter than before. My pores look smaller and after 2 weeks - my skin texture is still glowing. Ive had botox in my masseters and my crows feet and forehead with Dr. Yew. Im so happy with the customer service. The office is conveniently located at Ala Moana in Honolulu with plenty of parking. Ive been getting treatments done by Dr. Yew since April 2016 & Ive never felt so youthful inside & out as I do now! Not just do I look amazing he actually took my headaches away, Ive had TMJ my whole life & Ive always woke up every night with my jaw & temples in pain, I told dr. Yew about it while I was getting Botox done & he said he could fix it so he gave me a shot of Botox in each jaw muscle, 4 days later my headaches starting going away and by 2 weeks they were completely gone! Amazing!! Not only the pain is gone I noticed that my face started slimming around my jaw area, I didnt realize how large my jaw muscles were until I put before & after pics side by side, I used to look like Popeye the sailor woman! Lol! I love taking pics now which I never used to!In August I got Voluma cheek injections done, OMG! This was the best thing Ive ever done! Dr. yew also gave me Sculptra which isnt a filler it rebuilds your natural collagen, he injected it all around the outside of my face where my skin is starting to sag & my laugh lines are getting deeper. Dr. knows Im really scared of looking fake or over filled so he recommended getting Sculptra instead of filler because its so natural and is more long term & the results arent immediate but are amazing cause I dont look puffy its like my laugh lines just started disappearing!The most recent treatment I had done was 1 month ago I had laser treatment for acne scars & brown spots, the brown spots are almost gone & theres a few scars still left, I was going to get another laser treatment but they told me to wait for at least 2 months because the results continue after a month so I may not need to do it again which I do see changes every week. What I love is the fact they turned down taking my money for another treatment until I know for sure I really needed it! What I also like about Dr. Yew that makes him very different from the other doctors Ive consulted with is that he does each type of treatment at different times, in stages, not all at once VS the others dr.s I saw wanted to do everything at the same time, I guess they make more money injecting everything into your face at one time but thats a scary thought!!THIS IS THE BEST PART OF MY REVIEW ................... Last week I took my 18 yr old daughter to 5 college tours in Boston & NYC and at 2 of the universities they signed me in & asked what Ill be majoring in because they thought I was the student!!! OMG! Im having so much fun at 41 yrs old!!! Ive never been one to boast about myself not ever but since Ive been seeing Dr. Yew I look absolutely fabulous, not reality tv fabulous, but real fabulous! LOL! I cant believe Im saying this but thats how I feel every day!Ill be sure to review on the results of the laser treatment I had last month after I get the final results!My advice to everyone is to get a consultation with Dr. Yew then youll understand what Im taking about, consultations are free & so worth the time!!!

I had a great experience with Dr David Yew and his friendly office staff at Aesthetics Hawaii. His office is conveniently located in Honolulu at the Ala Moana Medical Building. I had Kybella injected about 2 months ago but wanted to wait for the results before writing a review. Kybella is an FDA approved injectable treatment that would get reduce the size of my double chin. Im only 53 (140lbs, 55) and no matter how much exercise I do I cant seem to get rid of this stubborn fat under my chin. I didnt want to do surgery as I think Im too young for that. Dr Yew was very informative and set realistic expectations that it would take time for the fat to dissolve and to expect some swelling and numbness over several weeks. No bruising. Its been about 8 weeks since my first treatment and I can see my double chin has almost disappeared.Im writing a follow-up to my original review. I had my first CoolSculpting procedure 6 weeks ago. The makers of Kybella also do CoolSculpting. I used it for my abdomen and flank which were bothering me. I work out and exercise but I still have these love handles which my wife calls it. They used 2 machine at the same time - called DualSculpting. Its basically 2 CoolSculpting machines taking care of both sides at once. The procedure was very easy as they applied gel and then a device that gave an instant cooling sensation. 20 minutes later - they removed the applicator and they massaged the area. It wasnt painful - just felt cold in the beginning. But after a minute - you get used to it and then I started checking emails on my phone. There was NO Downtime! There was some numbness and that is to be expected. After several weeks - the numbness went away and so did 25% of my fat in that area. This is permanently gone. Im looking forward to coming back for another treatment.

I did a lot of research before I made an appointment at Aesthetics Hawaii. The location conveniently located in the heart of Honolulu at the Ala Moana Medical Building. I decided to see for myself if their reviews lived up to the hype. Ive been going to this practice now for a little over a year and I highly recommend coming to him for botox, fillers like (Juvederm, Restylane Silk), laser or Dermapen/microneedling.When I made my initial appointment, the staff was friendly and very clear on what my FREE consultation would be like and what I could expect from the procedure.The consultation was VERY informative and they answered all of my questions so I agreed to be treated with Botox and Xeomin (a newer brand of Botox). I had it injected on my forehead and my frown lines and I love the results! Next visit I decided to have my lips filled. His nurse and assistant made the procedure very comfortable. They went with the filler Juvederm and I love the results so much! Its been about 8 months since Ive had them done and I can still see the filler working.In the year Ive also had Dermapen which is microneedling for acne scars on my face and Sublative laser which is also for acne scars. Out of the two I believe that Sublative laser worked a lot better for the cost. I saw better and longer results. I respect Dr Yews approach which is to do things in stages - like art - while setting honest expectations.Im thinking about getting Kybella next to dissolve the fat under my chin. Its non-surgical and they are one of the first practices to offer this. I trust them as they always test their treatments on themselves first. If they see results - then they offer it.

I had a great experience. The Honolulu office clinic its conveniently located at Ala Moana with plenty of parking. The consultation was very informative regarding my skin care treatment with IPL (skin rejuvenation). Ive had 2 treatments and Ive noticed the brown spots are much lighter. I also had a sublative treatment for my acne scarring and its improved so much. I used it with their Dermapen microneedling treatment and my skin looks and feels so much smoother. I still have some scarring but was told the expectation is that deep scarring will remain but the collagen stimulation will make it less noticeable. I appreciated the honesty. The laser photofacial was very comfortable and there was minimal downtime. I highly recommend this laser (Syneron Candela eLos Plus) as its the newest one in Hawaii.
