I went to Dr.Shim Ching for a breast augmentation because I heard how well he takes care of his patients. Dr. Ching and his staff made me feel so comfortable and welcomed. From the moment I reached out to Dr Ching on Instagram regarding pricing on breast augmentation. Communication has been very easy and efficient. As promised by Dr Ching I was contacted Monday when the office opened back up Keri called me and gave me more details as far as scheduling and pricing, she scheduled my consultation and I flew in being on the big island she made sure appointments were all setup. She answered any questions that I had making me feel at ease. Once I got into the consultation room Maria was amazing. She is so patient with all of my questions and even elaborated on things that I didnt think of. She made me feel confident that they had my best interests at heart. Dr. Ching was very thorough in explaining the procedure to me and heard my concerns as well as explained how he would make me feel comfortable during and after the procedure.

Horrible experience, Stay away if you need surgery. My wife and I are both medical doctors and know what we are talking about. We have filed a complaint with the medical board as well. My wife had a prophylactic double mastectomy and Dr Ching did the reconstruction. His incompetence resulting in mutilation, pain, many days of lost work, and horrible scarring. After the first surgery, the wounds became infected, this required multiple further surgeries. A total of 7 surgeries were done, every single one complicated by infection. He tried to blame the infections on the patient, not his poor sterile technique. He inserted the implants in the wrong pocket subcutaneous and not behind the muscle where there already was a pocket, one time he contaminated the inside of the implant at the time of surgery so that when it was removed it was full of yellow fluid. In another instance, his MA ruptured the implant while trying to fill it in the office, this required another surgery (our new plastic surgeon always filled the implant himself not delegating it to a MA). The post-op care was poor as was the pain management, they were in a hurry to send the patient home rather than make sure they were comfortable. We finally went to another plastic surgeon who has now had to do 5 more surgeries to correct Dr Chings botched surgeries. With the new surgeon, there has been NO infection at all, with much less pain, and much more professional post-operative care. There are a bunch of one-star reviews on this doctor that are hidden, check them out.

Being my first time under anesthesia i definitely thought i would be a lot more anxious but from every step of the way Dr. Ching and his staff made me feel very comfortable and relaxed where there was no anxiety even on the day of surgery. I am very appreciative of dr Ching and his staff for being such kind, professional and caring people.He had reconstructed my breast before, another doctor did a horrible job on me and dr Ching had to fix it few years ago.This time I went in to remove the implants. I do believe they were making me sick. I have been so sick since the implants....:so I called dr Ching if he can do proper explant for me.And of course dr Ching was able to.I went in to get explanted, and since not a lot of doctors does proper explant, I was worried. I needed dr Ching to remove the implants and the capsule with all the scar tissues out. Dr Ching is the only surgeon I really trust now adays.He is the only surgeon that really do enbloc total capsulectomy in Hawaii.I had to go back in to get the right side of my chest drained after surgery and I was terrified when they told me, they won’t be putting me out to do the job.I had bad experience before with another dr who cut into me without proper medication and I went into shock with so much pain. They rushed me to emergency for painblock and something else to calm my body down.I explained it to Dr Ching, and he was really kind and did what he can for me to make me comfortable during the procedure.I didn’t feel pain during the procedure at all. And I am healing now.

Dr Shim stuff gives me wrong impression of how this procedure was going to be.They promote I was going to be able to go back to work next day but I was drugged and in strong pain that I make promises to my clients and have to get one job done for free for the wrong information that the nurse Mia told meThey give you information in paper to know what to expect but as this nurse promised it should be okay for me and I should be able to go back to work I mis promise to my clients and wasn’t able to get the job done on time.I been feeling uncomfortable and had call but first few day they don’t reply till couple days later. Now has been couple months since the liposuction was done and still feel uncomfortable and feel that what I did never works for I gain more weight and I look same, I call two weeks ago to ask if I could talk with dr shim just to discuss how I felt and what was happening but the nurse Mai just told me if its was a emergency and if it was to call 911.I ask if she could ask the dr shim to call me but she just told me I have a appointment to December 9th I told her cannot wait till then if can she ask him to call me, she told me she will ask the nurse to contact me or him now again has been two weeks and no one has reply or call.To get their money they call you 3 to 4 times a day but to see how you feel after they get their money they don’t careSo disappointed of this clinic and their stuff ...

Love the Sopranoice machine! Been so hesitant to do my Brazilian laser due to it being so painful the last time I did it with another machine but this one is magic! Felt little to no pain at all. I went in for initial hair transplant procedure yesterday and the procedure went well. Dr. Ching and the staff were very courteous, professional, and experienced in what they do, which comforted me as this is all new to me. This was the first time I had a procedure at Asia-Pacific. Stacy Muse very patiently explained the procedure, was very meticulous, and my injections were pain-free. She suggested small injections at a new site of my face where I’ve never addressed but have aged in that area, and that area now looks like it did 20 years ago, I’m so happy with the results! My results are amazing and I’m extremely happy with Stacy’s work. Will definitely be returning for all of my injectibles.

I have been going here for over a year for laser hair removal. I originally bought a five session package. When that was done I was not satisfied with the result ( no change in hair growth) I was informed that if i want it to be baby bottom smooth and no hair growth or next to nothing for 6month ( need to do go back for a touch up about twice a year) I should get another 5 session package. So I did. Im at my last appointment (10) and again the hair growth is the same. I have to shave every day to keep it smooth. Dont waste your time or money. I am light skinned with dark hair. I paid for my underarms and Brazilian. The staff is extremely nice.

This staff is remarkable. They were professional, patience and caring. From my very 1st visit I felt the warmth. Their sincerity continues, I am 1 week post op and they are with me every step of the way. I have only positive things to say about Dr. Ching and Stacy. I am a 37 year old woman and had a baby 7 months ago. I noticed a lot of fat loss/hollowness to my face as well as new wrinkles around my eyes after I lost the baby weight. I had my first Kybella procedure today. Stacy was professional, but at the same time put me at ease because I was pretty nervous. I also had concerns if the Kybella would affect an existing condition that I have, but Stacy was very knowledgeable and explained to me why I didnt have to worry and even recommended a book that could help me because she too had the same condition. In addition to the numbing cream, I think she is one of the only injectors that also include numbing in the injections plus she gave me a little pro-nox to ease my nerves which was insanely wonderful...trust me on this one!!! I felt like I drank a whole bottle of wine, but had no side effects and because it wore off after about 10 minutes, I was more than able to drive back to work afterwards. I hardly felt a thing when she started the injections and it was done before I knew it. She explained what would/could happen and how I would feel in the next few days and told me that I could call her at anytime if I had questions. By the way, she wasnt just saying that because I had a question about what pain meds I could take and she responded back to me right away. Im so happy that I found Stacy the FaceKween!!!

I had a breast reduction in 2009 by dr shimching, I didn’t think I’d be able to breast feed when the time came because of having this surgery. But I just had my firstborn and I am to 100% able to breast feed him! I’m so grateful for the care that dr shimching put into my surgery. I also love how they look! My scars have gone down significantly and I have quite a bit of feeling still. Some areas are numb but I think that comes with the territory.Very grateful for this procedure and also the fact that I can breast feed after having this done!He’s a great DR, highly recommend ✨

Patients are treated with the utmost courtesy, kindness, and patience by the doctor and staff. They are all professionals in every sense of the word. Dr. Shim Ching is gentle, expert and delicate when it comes to incisions and sutures and feelings and emotions, as well. Sutures and scars? I could not see them to count with the naked eye and now that I am 100% healed, cannot see scars to speak of. I am contoured exactly the way the doctor explained I would be, I am more comfortable in my body, can breathe and move with greater ease and would highly recommend this doctor above all others. Have I had other plastic surgeons? Yes. So I know what I speak and write of. There are none better than this doctor and there are none better than this facility. His surgi~suites are in the same building as his offices, there is ample parking, and a beautiful, quiet, cool and large recovery room. You are treated with kid gloves and that is no exaggeration. This doctor, at a time when he could stay home and stay rich, has also done, works of mercy abroad and has performed therapeutic surgeries for the underprivileged. He is a young, talented master and a kind, old soul. I dont know of another doctor like him. Have confidence when you call to make an appointment. She was always prompt with pre operative checklist requirements and with all pre op, operative, and post op scheduling.Dr. Ching has a great team and I am extremely satisfied with my results and experience with his office. The majority of services I have received were fair and beneficial however the one treatment I wanted to consider was a hair transplant and although expensive I would have considered it except for the fact that Dr. Ching doesnt perform the surgery himself..! The doctor has nurse/techs perform the actual graft removal and implants.Now for all the money hes charging I would want and expect the doctor to perform the process fully, beginning to end.

I have been coming to Asia Pacific Plastic Surgery for a few years now. In fact, I first became a client back when Dr. Ching had his office at Queens POB 3. That alone should be a testament of how professional and fantastic Dr. Ching and his facility are.Asia Pacific Plastic Surgery is located on the 8th floor of Hale Pawaa. There is valet parking and a ticketed parking structure. The stalls are large and the elevators run often in the structure so youre not waiting forever. Asia Pacific Plastic Surgery does validate your parking ticket for the first hour.When you get off the elevator, just head to the Diamond Head side of the building. Youll enter into one of the coolest waiting rooms Ive ever been in. The check-in desk is on your right. The ladies usually ask to validate upon check-in, so have that parking ticket handy. There are monthly specials displayed on the counter. There is a small refrigerator for you to grab water in the waiting area. Chairs and large ottomans are super comfy to sit in, though the wait is usual short.This past visit was a pre-op for me. My body needed a little help with a belly button issue that came up a few years ago and Dr. Ching was the one to help me with it.I first met with the nurse (sorry, I cant remember her name). She went over my history, asked if I knew what was happening, and then went over all the paperwork. She gave me my prescriptions and took down questions that I had for Dr. Ching. She left & returned with Dr. Ching. If you have never met Dr. Ching, you are in for a treat. That man is one of the most gentle & genuine people you could ever know. So, its a bonus if you choose him to be your doctor! We chatted for a few (as I said, Ive been a client for a while), then got down to business. He made sure I understood what was going to happen to my abdominal area & what his expectations were for the surgery. He answered all my questions and clarified anything that I was unsure of. After that, I was brought to another area for my pre-op pics. It was quick. It got me really excited about my upcoming surgery.The day of my surgery, the team working with Dr. Ching is equally awesome. They made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. They let hubby come in & hang out bedside after I was situated. While waiting, I got to check out the suite. It was immaculately clean, as any operating suite should be. The only difference is that it didnt make me nervous like other hospitals. Im not sure if it was the wall colors or just the upbeat nurses, but I actually felt comfortable. (If you know me, this is a big deal.) Dr. Ching came in to check on me & again gave me a clear vision of the final result. I was really excited! I was knocked out for surgery, but I was told it went really well. I havent seen the final work as I am still healing, but I will definitely update!If you couldnt tell, I will definitely be back to Asia Pacific Plastic Surgery and Dr. Ching. I feel that the care they put into you & your body AND the fact that they care about you is something you dont see much of nowadays. If you are looking for advice or want some help in the lines of plastic surgery, laser hair removal, Botox, or anything else, I definitely recommend Dr. Ching!

I have never had a surgical experience like I did with Dr.Shim Ching. He listened and did everything I asked. You see, My left silicone implant ruptured after 17 years. I originally went back to the doctor who performed the surgery 17 years ago and he quoted me $11,300!!! For a removal and replacement of implants that he put in!! I was quite upset by the disregard of a loyal patient that wanted to be fixed. I then went to Dr. Shim Ching. He not only promised to do what I wanted but to also remove some scarring aaaannnd he also worked within my budget, saving me over $2500 !! The whole experience was so comfortable, friendly and super professional!!! Yay for Dr. Shim Ching and his stellar staff!

Botox to major headaches to now brain fog since Nov 11, 2015 its on going ever since. Went to all my medical and specialist doctors however as they found out my blood test, CT scan and MRI was negative.Living with the fact that I wish I didnt have any Botox especially when Dr. Shim nurse with no medical degree injected me. Perhaps knowing now I wouldve request for the Dr instead whom is much more experience with Botox injections.

This place is amazing. I come here for ALL of my beauty needs. The very first treatment I had there was probably 6 years ago was laser hair removal. Not having to shave anymore is wonderful. I then decided to have breast augmentation :). I love them. Dr. Ching and his staff made me feel so comfortable and I am extremely happy with my natural looking results. Since then I got Botox injections in my frown lines. The aesthetic nurse injector (Tara) has such a gentle touch that I barely felt anything. She really took the time to explain everything to me. I am now getting laser facial treatments and chemical peels from the esthetician (Awa) to get rid of my dark spots that I got after having my son. And just a couple of weeks ago i got something new that they offer. Its called the Hydrafacial. I totally loved how it cleaned out my pores and made my skin feel so smooth and hydrated. I worked for two plastic surgeons when I was younger and saw what a huge difference a surgeon can make. So when it came time for me to consider my first plastic surgery a few months ago, I was concerned about finding the right surgeon. I didnt want to end up with an operated look, or appearing radically different, like some people Id seen before. I just wanted to look like a fresher, younger version of myself. Of course, I was also concerned that the surgery would be performed in a safe environment, with a highly competent anesthetist and skilled nurses assisting in the procedure.Several people I know had been to Dr. Ching and LOVED their results. I thought they looked amazing, too. So I decided to go ahead with a consultation. Dr. Ching really took his time with me, explaining the various procedures I could consider, and answering all of my questions. I didnt feel rushed, and was told to think things over before booking anything. I felt so good about Dr. Ching and his state-of-the-art facility, I decided within a couple of days that there was no need to look any further. I booked my surgery as soon as he could fit me in.After weighing all the options as far as procedures, I decided to start with an endoscopic forehead lift and upper/lower blepharoplasty with canthopexy. Im happy to say that the experience was first-class from start to finish. The office staff was very professional and helpful, the pre-op instructions were very clear and I was made super comfortable at check-in on the day of surgery. The anesthetist (Grace Liu) was incredibly attentive and put me at ease, as did the nurses (Cindy and Cathy). Recovery was quick, and I was on my way home soon afterwards.That was two and a half months ago, and Im DELIGHTED with the outcome. The results are subtle, yet striking.
