Im kinda disappointed when it comes to them adding to emergency broad band benefit. I applied for the ebb and was approved in May and the credit still hasnt been applied yet and its June. When I called I was told that it wouldnt be applied till June because they are still trying to figure out the logistics of it and it wont be applied till July. Really? Because I live on Hawaiian Homes I am forced to use Sandwich Isles Communications. I feel like suing Hawaiian Homes. My brother was approved for the same ebb benefit and has spectrum and was applied to his account within minutes.

Good customer service with bad infrastructure. Very poor, intermittent wifiwith insufficient band width to stream without buffering or losing connection altogether. Paid for 15Gigs while only receiving 4 at the most. Would lose internet connection for days at a time.

They never seem to give any updates when service goes down. It would be nice to get updates in case customers need to make arrangements being that most students are online due to COVID.👎

Let’s be honest here, I haven’t actually bought from these guys. Unfortunately though, this is the only Internet provider I can get on the Hawaiian Homestead I live on as of 04/19/2020. They don’t have the prices posted so let me give you an idea. For 200Mbps you are looking at around $118, you can’t go higher than 200Mbps. Which tells you it’s only down hill from there. To top it off $118 is only if you get the telephone bundle with them. The price jumps to around $149 if you just get the internet. I don’t know about you, but I don’t use a home phone because I am hardly at home. Not only should I add that I haven’t seen a more poorly designed website in my life. I have to use google links to get to different parts of their websites. If you manage to find a clickable icon, you sometimes get sent to another website? Or if you get “Lucky” it will take you somewhere on their website, but you can’t even click anyway on the site if you want to go back to your previous page. Customer service is ok, but even they seem like they don’t believe in their company. I get it, some homesteads need something like this in the middle of nowhere where there is no other choice. But I live in a more modern area and I can’t use other services because the pipes installed under ground connecting to my house and the transformer, belong to the “Sandwich Isles Communications” company. Which means it’s them or I get nothing. And you try convince your brand new neighbors, that you need to tear up the brand new road and sidewalk to take out brand new cable pipes leading to their brand new house so you can use a different internet provider. Trust me, it doesn’t go over well and you are just stuck hoping their contract ends.
