Captain Nate showed us an absolutely brilliant time on the Tradewinds chartered sailboat. We got to swim with turtles and fish, sail the seas, see diamond head from a beautiful scenic angle and even had the fortune of dolphins swimming alongside our boat. He was extremely professional but still made the trip out really fun playing great music to get us in to the spirit, showing us the best spots to see turtles and even served us delicious Mai-tai’s. We loved it so much we went out on his boat twice in one week. Highly recommend!!!

We chartered a boat. Captain found a great spot to snorkel. Downside was when we crashed into rocks because we lost power and there was no wind to maneuver the sail boat. Instead of just waiting on someone to tow us in, the captain decided to sail into the channel with no boat power and no wind.The company did not seem to care. They never called to apologize for the experience. I emailed them and left my phone number. they did not care. Have not heard from them. They do not care about your safety.

We had an amazing time sailing on “My Sunshine”. The boat was well maintained and beautiful, plenty of space. Snorkeling equipment provided. We saw a whale and swam with sea turtles. The marina is close to Waikiki (beautiful walk if you are up to it). Definitely recommend using this company for an amazing experience. Wes was very friendly and it was definitely worth the money to have a private sail.

Amazing and relaxing experience with two very experienced and informative mariners, Rich and Tessa. Had a blast playing music, drinking and snorkeling in the bay they took us to.

We had such a great experience with Tradewind Charters. Francesco (Captain Nacho) was the perfect combination of friendliness and professionalism.We were able to see dolphins and snorkel with sea turtles. It was a great day. It felt like we had a good friend who took us out sailing for the day.I would highly recommend them to anyone.

They canceled our cancellation one hour before because THEY messed up and doubled booked. Horrible do not go it’s not worth the risk. You’re better off going somewhere else.

My family and I rented a beautiful charter from captain ken and Ty for my birthday on New Year’s Eve. There was 9 of us and plenty of space on the beautiful boat. It was a gorgeous day and everyone said it was their favorite part of the trip. He even had food and drinks aboard, paddle boards, and snorkel equipment. We hung out on the front nets and had a beautiful sunset as well. I highly recommend this charter for anyone looking for an amazing and wonderful experience in Oahu :)

Captain Ken is someone who stresses 30 years of experience but then doesn’t negotiate when he comes to his prices. While we all understand it’s his right as a business, his demeanor and lack of empathy is that of someone who doesn’t get what being a good negotiator is about.

DO NOT use this company at all for a private charter. The owner is very rude and condescending and they only care about your money. The boat, is unsafe and they had us and little kids in unsafe conditions. They weather was bad and they assured us that it would be fine. The weather took a turn for the worse and we were out in the middle of the ocean caught in a nasty thunderstorm, drenched cold and wet with toddlers on the boat. Also, the net on the boat had a hole in it because someone fell through it. If you know what’s best for you and your family or friends, do not use this company because your safety is not top priority for them. Just your money.

Had an absolute BLAST with Francesco on our charter with Tradewind. Whale watching was unreal, and the ride around the bay on wind power alone was incredible. Great snacks, awesome people. Loved my time on board My Sunshine. Would definitely recommend!

Each of their boats is only allowed six people. So anytime you’re going with more it’s an illegal charter with out the proper insurance and without Coast Guard inspection Be aware And be smart. They’re only out for the money!

Ken and crew were awesome. We chartered the 43 foot sailboat for a whale watching and snorkel cruise. The boat was in great shape and the weather didnt disappoint. The family got to snorkel with some sea turtles. The whales were uncooperative, but nature is nature. Thanks for a great time!I highly recommend this charter service.

This company has beautiful ships and professional staff. Captain Chris was amazing. We had an ash scattering for my recently deceased grandmother and Captain Chris made it so easy and relaxed. He was curtious wothout being stuffy and it made the whole trip worthwhile.

I chartered the 43 Sailboat for a Fireworks cruise a few weeks ago as a surprise for my wife. I did it to recreate an excursion that we had on our honeymoon 20 years ago. The booking process was quick and easy. Paul, our captain, was excellent and very accommodating. The boat was luxurious and comfortable. During our cruise, we were able to see a few whales prior to having the best seat on the water for the fireworks. We saw other crowded vessels on the water, but it was special to only have the 2 of us. It was a fabulous evening and a night we will never forget! If you are considering doing this, go for it! You will not be disappointed!

I actually rented tradewinds 50 foot motor catamaran two years ago as a welcome cruise for my wedding. Let me just say Captain Ken and his crew were phenomenal! It was an absolute great time. If you are thinking of renting or getting a tour with tradewind charters stop thinking and do it! They were easy to work with and catered the trip to exactly what my wife wanted (and me).Sorry for the late review Captain Ken.

I think this is a great family owned business. If you want to enjoy Hawaii, this is a do not miss!

Our private 3 hour cruise was absolutely amazing. The captain (please forgive me, Ive forgotten his name) couldnt have been more helpful and accommodating. From snorkeling to hanging out with the dolphins, it was a major highlight of our vacation. We will definitely do it again the next time we visit, and highly recommend to our friends and family who are headed your way.

Ken and his team are absolutely wonderful. 5 Star service and the vessels and adventures he offers are one of a kind. Definitely check him out when visiting Hawaii!

Beware this company did not honor original contract. Our family scheduled a private sunset Dinner SAILING cruise for our fathers birthday on the 4th of July. We had called and made arrangements a month prior. Two days before our scheduled cruise we get a text telling us that we were no longer going on a sail boat but a motorized catamaran that would have to depart earlier and return earlier because of coast guard regulations. They told us it was a better deal because the catamaran (made for holding large diving parties) held 45 people. We only had 8 adults and 3 kids and originally wanted a private setting for a family this is why we had reserved a a sail boat. So our original agreement was not honored. We received no sailboat, no sunset, and the dinner was frozen chicken wings and Costco veggies tray. As we returned another party was waiting to go after us and they got the sunset cruise. So the whole story of coast guard regulations bring the reason for early departure and no sunset cruise was a misleding.

Had a great time even though it was a difficult time for the family. Thanks for the evening!
