I had the best time cruising off into the sunset with the whole crew at Living Ocean! 🌅🛥The views of Waikiki and beyond are truly breathtaking! Especially to see the skyline at golden hour and then after the sun sets when all the stars and city lights are twinkling.Its the perfect opportunity and occasion to take photos. I was having too much fun and forgot so I just have screenshots from a video I took.The boat is new and the crew is top notch!You will have the time of your life! Highly recommend you dont miss this when you come to Oahu. Im dying to do their snorkel tour next and hopefully see Hawaiian sea turtles (from a respectful distance) because that is always so special.Thank you Living Ocean team!

My husband and I went snorkeling, this was my first time. The crew was great, very friendly and made us feel confident, and we had so much fun! We were sad to return to land and would definitely do this again... like, tomorrow, after a nap 😂

Worth every penny! The guides were friendly and they taught beginners how to do snorkeling the right way. They took all of us inner side of the ocean and we saw turtles and many other kinds of fishes. It was a great experience.

I saw so many turtles when I went snorkeling. The staff there is super nice and patient when my group was a little late. They would point out where the turtles were and kept the group very safe. There are snacks and drink aboard the boat. All of the staff are knowledgeable about their field. This would be a must do in Honolulu with this family owned group!

Absolutely amazing! The crew is so nice and welcoming. They made sure to check that everyone was feeling comfortable and having a good time, which was much appreciated for a couple of nervous first timers like us. The snorkeling experience was really awesome. There’s snacks, cold water and drinks so you don’t need to bring any of that with you. The crew(Alex, Nate and Nyle) was very friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend for first timer like me. (Here’s a pic of the turtle we saw.)

We saw so many turtles! Im pretty sure the staffs names were Sam, Joe, and Alex. They were all wonderful and they kept showing us what to do and where to go to see the turtles. Theyre knowledgeable about what they do and they made sure we were all safe. The snacks they offered helped when I swallowed a bit too much ocean water as well. Ive been to Hawaii many times and this is probably my favorite thing Ive ever done here as I really love animals. They made the turtles safety a big priority as well. They said they typically see turtles 90% of the time that they go out there. Sometimes the turtles go to deeper cleaning stations which they dont have control over but the fish there were also beautiful and cool to see. Definitely worth the money! Id go again in the future.

They were able to effortlessly navigate through some box jellyfish we ran into and took us to a better spot to snorkel. Overall great experience. The crew did an amazing job. We lucked into some great weather and a huge pod of spinner dolphins before snorkeling. The water is deep at this spot but the fish and turtles are plentiful. I would definitely go back out with this crew, had an amazing time!

Amazing!! The crew is SO nice, funny, & helpful. One of the members who takes you out, Miles I believe, even dived down next to the turtles with our go pro to get some up-close footage for us! 10/10 would recommend. I booked this near the end of our trip & now regret it since it means we can’t do it more.😅 I’m not the strongest swimmer, but the tour is perfectly paced & the crew is always near by with a board to hang on to if you need help or just need a break. We saw a bunch of super cool fish, turtles, & the group before us even saw some reef sharks! Can’t recommend enough. :-)

This was the BEST snorkeling experience we have ever had! The guides were amazing all the way from explaining the gear/rules to leading us around the reef to make sure we saw as many turtles as possible. They even made sure we got to see the dolphins that were swimming by. If we ever make it back to Hawaii we would definitely use this group again!

We had a party of 3 divers. 2 experienced divers & my friend who was diving for the first time. We were able to all dive together. Dive master Alex took the time to help my friend overcome her fears & assured us he would make sure she felt comfortable throughout the entire dive. On our 1st dive we saw a huge pod of dolphins. I’ve been diving 30 years & have never seen anything like that!! We also saw a ton of turtles, fish, eels & 2 white tip sharks. The dive master knew where to take us to see some great things. We were so impressed with the operation, we went back a few days later to go whale watching. We saw several pods & the guide on our boat knew all about the whales. The captain was knowledgeable, friendly & approachable. They have Living Ocean merch for sale & we bought a couple of T-shirt’s. We’d highly recommend this company from beginning divers to advance divers. They set up all your equipment, provide drinks & snacks & all you have to do is enjoy!

Wonderful snorkeling experience. We saw lots of turtles and fishes. Some turtles swam towards us and we saw them clearly. The staff are friendly. They found turtles and pointed us to see turtles. I booked this little excursion with less than 24 hours before they left to go snorkeling. I was able to get a spot. I saw SO many sea turtles and beautiful fish. The snorkeling guide was incredible; he’s actually from the town I live in in Colorado. He was super sweet and took lots of photos for me of a rare and endangered turtle sitting at the bottom of the cleaning station. They were so informative and kind, and the captain of the boat was awesome as well. They provided juice, water and snacks of a few different varieties. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be using them when I come back in a few months. Did two x2 wreck/reef tours and was the only guest both times, so I got two awesome days of one-on-one diving with extremely experienced and knowledgeable guides. They have a 25% returning customer discount which makes this the most affordable group on the island.Their tours leave early and return early, but don’t feel at all rushed. After diving the Sea Tiger on Monday, I asked specifically if we could do the YO and San Pedro the next day and they were able to accommodate easy. Calley and Greg are the best guides I’ve ever dove with and made me feel very safe. All 4 dive sites we were the first ones there.I was fortunate enough over those days to see a Hawaiian Broad Ray (rare), countless Green Turtles, a few baby white tip reef sharks, and some gorgeous and healthy corals, in addition to colorful fish of course!The best part about living ocean is that they were able to offer recommendations for other sites and tour operators outside of their scope that fit my interest perfectly. Truly feels like they want you to have the BEST experience possible, not just the most profitable.

Chase and Dave were amazing instructors. Went on the snorkeling turtle tour and saw multiply sea turtles. They showed us where the turtles were and reminded us to say back and respect the turtles. Covid safe as we all wore a face mask on the boat and the limited how many for the tour. I would recommend this for beginners and experienced snorkelers as they helped those who were not as experienced. Booking directly through them ensured we could get a cancellation or rebook if the weather was bad which this did happen. Thanks for an amazing unforgettable experience!

I had an ankle replacement recently and this was my first time back scuba diving. Dave was so good about communicating and answering all our questions. This was awesome! Dave, Christian, and Chase weee so friendly and excited to share their knowledge on the ocean and specifically the turtles. On our tour we saw three turtles and a ton of fish! The snorkeling was so much fun and the guides truly help to make you feel comfortable. My husband and I did a lot of excursions while in Hawaii but this was probably our favorite! We arranged a whale watching tour with Living Ocean. The first time we went out, we did the Sunset Tour and had an amazing view of Waikiki and Diamond Head. As we didnt see any whales, the crew invited us out again. The second trip was lovely - bright blue skies and no wind. We still didnt see any whales, but it was a gorgeous day to be out on the water. We were invited back out for a third trip - despite lots of good natured laughing about how we were the common denominator - but sadly had to decline as our trip was winding down.The crew was very friendly and knowledgeable, and the boat was clean and well-maintained.I would definitely recommend this company, and would book with them the next time we are in Hawaii.

Far and away the highlight of our trip to Hawaii. The entire process from booking to jumping in the water was a delight and we could not have asked for a more professional and smooth experience. Nate was the dive master for our outing and was the cherry on top of an already amazing time. My wife and I were in Hawaii for a few days and she told me she had never been snorkeling. We’ve been married almost 10 years and I never knew...but that’s a story for another day. Dave and Chase were awesome. They followed all the new COVID protocols and had hand sanitizer and all. Right as we pulled up to Turtle Canyon we saw two turtles on the surface getting air. Once we jumped in there were turtles everywhere and plenty of other fish to see. We had about 1.5 hours in the water to just hang out explore. On the way back Dave spotted a pod of dolphins and turned the boat around so we could see them swimming and jumping. This was absolutely worth it and next time I’m out we will be trying a scuba trip. Chase also had some good recommendations for food later that evening and Dave and I had great conversation while I was taking a quick break from the water. We will definitely be repeat customers!

Great experience, they know the water well and will take you to all the secret spots where you can find fish, turtles, sharks... also the coral reef is amazing !

We went on two beautiful dives today, seeing so many amazing turtles, octopuses, eels, sharks, a spotted eagle ray, and so much more. Chase and Dave were awesome, taking lots of COVID-19 precautions. Everything was sanitized, hand sanitizer was provided, and masks were worn before switching to our other masks. : ) Would definitely dive with them again. I just had two-day fun dives with them and I enjoyed it very much. I initially chose them based on the reviews on google. They are a small but dynamics and professional group. Diving guides will set up everything for you and will provide very detailed information. I recommend the living ocean scuba to divers who want to dive in Honolulu. The coral reef in Hanauma bay is gorgeous! But you need to check the dive schedule in advance. It is inaccessible/no dives in this nature preserve for certain days in a week.

Such a fun time! I went in with no expectations and still had them exceeded! Absolutely phenomenal team, guides are super professional and positive. Totally amazing atmosphere. Would give 10 stars if possible

Diving with Living Ocean Scuba was the highlight of my trip to Hawaii. I have been diving for more than 10 years and this was my wifes first dive outside of her cert dives. I felt like they treated everyone with respect and ensured their safety while having a great time. I was very pleased with pickup and drop off at the hotel. The captain of the boat was professional and easy to talk to. The dive instructors planned/explained the dive prior to getting in the water and then followed the plan. The instructors were able to help us find interesting and amazing things to see based on their knowledge of the area. The equipment in great condition and worked properly. We were able to see : Turtles, Sharks, eels, octopus and many different types of fish. Absolutely love Living Ocean Scuba!! Alex is the best. We went diving with him 3 years ago and then again twice on this trip. We did two reef dives the first time because I didnt have my cert yet and Alex made sure I understood how to use my equipment. I felt safe and had no problems. And on this trip, I had my cert so we did wreck dives and reef dives. If you have any doubts, go with this company! Theyre small so they know the dive sites they go to well and do an amazing job. The boat is clean and they have drinks/snacks. And the boat master is also very friendly.

Amazing experience! Everyone was very friendly, professional and passionate. I have about 20 dives and an advanced certificate, my girlfriend had never tried it before, they made the two dives we had with them very good for both of us. All in all a great diving experience, cannot recommend enough.

Its hard to put into words what these dives meant to me. Id been getting ready for several months, booked our trip, and was calling scuba companies that were okay with taking inexperienced divers out. Living Ocean answered all my questions, were easy to book, and took away my anxiety about diving for the first time. I had a great teacher in Alex, we started with the Hanauma Bay tour. He had everything handled and ready to go, and we breezed right through the lines and tram. I liked my first dive so much that I booked the 2 tank boat trip. I got to hang out with Alex again, and a few other more experienced divers. Their boat The Beach is awesome, easy to dive from and comfortable to hang out on. We saw huge turtles, loads of fish and healthy coral, and a couple of sneaky octupi. If you want to try out scuba, dont hesitate! This is the company you want to do it with!

Excellent staff (personable and professional), great equipment (everything looked new or close to it, plus they had extra wet suits if you wanted them, thermoclimb is real!), and a few of my favorite dives Ive ever completed. I did four dives across two consecutive days (mostly because of the good reviews beforehand, but also you get a little discount if you book multiple). First day was seeing the endangered Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles and a nearby reef. Incredible seeing the concentration of turtles all in one area, and on the reef we saw a huge pod of dolphins, so lucky!). Second day was a wreck dive (Sea Tiger, big 150 ft sunken fishing vessel) and a nearby reef where we saw a white tip shark, a few more turtles, and a bunch of other cool stuff. Couldnt recommend this group more and will definitely be using them on future trips to Oahu. Cheers!

Captain Dave, Cali and Nate were the absolute best. Went diving with my buddy, his wife and my wife and had a great time. Cali was our instructor and she was absolutely phenomenal. The staff was very thorough, detail oriented and incredible. I will definitely be going on another dive with this company next time I’m back. Top notch, class act group.

Repeatedly Outstanding - I’ve dove with this shop during two trips to Oahu, during both “off-season” and the busier time of the year. The owner was very patient with questions before booking, the boat captains and instructors/divemasters were fantastic throughout every part of the trip, and the dive sites were all great. Admittedly, many of the dive sites on southern Oahu are common to all the dive companies in Waikiki. The service, professionalism, and friendliness of this outfit are what set Living Ocean apart. I recommend them for experienced divers, those of us that don’t dive too often, and for anyone interested in just trying out SCUBA for the first time (they’ve had “Discover SCUBA” students on two of the trips I’ve taken with them). I can’t recommend them enough, they’re the only shop I’ll dive with on Oahu.

Ive always loved sea turtles and this was the experience of my life! The beauty is unmatched. This was my first time diving. Alex was excellent at explaining and demonstrating how to use the scuba gear but he also made sure we had a good time and made sure we understood and were comfortable in the water before going into the dive. I had a little trouble with getting the pressure equalized in my ears and Alex was so patient. If its your first time diving you have to choose this company. They are really focused on your safety and make sure its an amazing experience. I wish I could give them 10 stars!

The reviews are true! They are the nicest crew. My daughter is only 6 and was struggling in the water. Both Lauren and Chris were so kind and helpful with her. The experience is wonderful! Chris Alex and Mason were great on our turtle snorkelling trip!!! we saw so many turtles and the crew was so nice making us feel at home on the trip. They were really good at making sure everyone was staying together and had a buoy for kids and others to hold onto when the current got strong.

Living Oceans is a phenomenal dive group! With things opening up in Hawaii, I will say as a local, you want to dive with this group. I highly recommend Living Ocean for their handling of COVID, diving experience, and sense of humor. Our Captain, Dave, was a really nice guy, who made it very clear the expectations on ship with the mask (for COVID), offered us hand sanitizer, but also explained that he understood wearing a mask while wet is difficult so he just asked us to keep our distance while not wearing it. Our divemaster was Chase and he is one of the best Ive had. He found three octopus (including one out in the open so we got to see it swim), two white tips, a spotted eagle ray, over a dozen turtles, itty bitty shrimp, eels, frog fish, and so much more. We did the Sea Tiger and he guided us safely through while still allowing us to actually see the wreck in its glory. We were able to swim a little between dives and then they took us to a less well known reef spot nearby. After our dives, they recommended some great places for lunch! We ended up getting some killer poke. Thanks again for the dive and the recommendation, Chase! You guys are awesome and I cant wait to dive with you again!

Perfect two tank shallow dives. All crew and captain on The Beach took great care of us. Our dive master was great - made sure we comfortable and knew what we were doing. Truly one of the most amazing experiences of my life! Loren walked us through all the steps and made what was scary at first feel possible. The whole crew was knowledgeable, fun and patient. Even my husband getting sea sick after diving was handled with dignity and care. I recommend them to anyone who has never dived. They will take care of you and make sure you have amazing memories!

Unfortunately we didnt get to dive due to my partner feeling sick before we got on the boat, but the instructor was very experienced and talked us through the safety procedures before we decided to leave. I was nervous leading up to it but I did feel confident after our briefing, hopefully next time well both be good to go.

We did our PADI open water certification with Loren, and loved every minute. He was great - focused on keeping us safe, helped us gain confidence and gave us great recommendations and advice. Our confined water dive was in a beach bay near Ala Moana Centre and the open water dives were off a boat - at Turtle Cove and Nautilus Reef. We got to swim with turtles on our second dive session - amazing experience and highly recommended!

I am a certified diver and I went here with my wife who is uncertified and was interested in learning. The staff were beyond professional, they made her feel confident and safe as they gave her an intro. I had a fantastic time diving with an instructor while she received instruction. Of all my dive experiences, this was on of the best due to the fact that the gang at living ocean are knowledgeable, friendly, fun and chill. If you’re certified or not, I recommend this company.

My first experience in scuba diving and it was awesome! Two dives, reefs, tons of fish, octopus, big turtles and even a baby (white tip?) shark. Our instructor Greg was great, really enthusiastic and made the dive even more enjoyable!

I looked all around for a scuba adventure at the last minute in Waikiki and ended up selecting Living Ocean since they had good ratings and vacancy on the day I needed. I did the 11am two-tank turtle dive. The dive sites were great and full of fish and sea turtles. A big shout out to Alex especially. He was my dive guide. Ill be honest, this was my first time scuba diving and it took me about 10 mins to calm my breathing and realize I wasnt suffocating. After I got over that, I couldnt get one ear to equalize. Alex was very patient and worked with me to overcome both issues. Once I finally did, I had a marvelous time. Thanks Alex for working through everything with me. Im glad I didnt call it quits because it was an amazing experience.

We had Alex as our professional scuba diver, and Cali was working with another group. Alex was very professional, funny and entertaining. We saw turtles, a ray, a few reef sharks, conch, and an assortment of fish. Would love to have a similar experience in the future. 10/10 recommend

Did a dive this morning with Living Ocean Scuba!The 2 dives were amazing, the team spirit is excellent and the instructors keep the number of divers in each team fairly low so that everyone can enjoy the dive and do not disturb marine life. Researched a lot of dive companies, and Living Ocean Scuba stood out to me- and we were not let down! As mentioned, this activity was absolutely amazing; it easily topped the list of a very full week of activities. We signed up as a family of four, all adults, none of us had dove before. My wife’s main interest was seeing turtles. We signed up for the non-certified two tank Turtle Boat Dive; which offers two dives at two different locations. Our day started out with Alex picking us up at our hotel to take us down to the docks; as it turned out, Alex would be our master dive instructor that day-already a great start! These people are great! Although Alex was our group of fours instructor, there was also Cali, another master dive instructor, and the boat captain, Dave. The lessons, and instructions are complete and through-they explain everything you will need to know regarding what to expect, the equipment, breathing under water, being in the water, swimming under water, etc., and they emphasized safety-these dive instructors will watch over you, and take care of you on your dive. All of us felt extremely comfortable, and safe under their direction. During our two dives, my wife got her wish-in a big way. We saw so many sea turtles that we all lost count of how many. Besides seeing an abundance of sea turtles and beautifully colored fish, we also saw conch, an Eagle Ray, and white tip reef sharks-all up very close. The water was very clear, and that helped too to make for an amazing day. When talked about at the end of our trip; it was unanimous-diving with Living Ocean Scuba was definitely the hi-lite of everyone’s trip, and they all wish that we could have done it again. Omg!!! What a lovely experience!!! 20 feet clear water from pacific! We saw green turtles and fishes! The crew (three guys) are super experienced and professional. Highly recommended!!!

I had the scuba diving with my girlfriend and Alex was my PADI professional. He was super nice and taught me some tricks underwater. We saw the turtles and a baby shark underwater. He was super nice to my girlfriend too, which she was super nervous for the first time. Really wanna do it again with him.

We had a great experience with Living Ocean Scuba and would highly recommend them to other divers. Very friendly and helpful. Great dive with lots of sea life. These guys run a first class operation. They took excellent pictures that were way better than anything we could have imagined. And best of all, they are very reasonably priced!

Just went scuba diving for my first time. Chose Living Ocean because of their reviews and was extremely satisfied. I went with my wife and bro and we all had a blast. Austin out scuba guide was helpful and amazing at finding creatures in the reef for us to see. They are not salesmen at all and do not pressure you to buy more merch/gear. 10/10 recommend these guys.

What an awesome experience! Loved the Captain and the Marine Biologist. Both were very knowledgeable and a joy to talk to. We saw so many whales and even got a few photos of them. My husband and I had a great time. I recommend anyone that us thinking about a whale watching tour to take their tour. You will not be disappointed!

Great experience, friendly staff, excellent dive guides. I had such a wonderful time on my Saturday wreck/reef dives I immediately booked a second trip with them the next day.

This was our first time scuba diving ever but Ryan really talked and walked us through every step. He was great on paying attention to you but allowed you to kind of go off on your own within reason. I may have found my new hobby as it was simply amazing. Saw a bunch of turtles at first spot and then a shark and a ton of fish at second spot. My only complaint is that since this was our first time I would have liked a photo of us down there but you have to ask for it up front. Guess we will have to do it again. Darn. Haha.

Was an awesome experience and i would highly recommend this for your first time or certification. For a first timer you will get a similar experience as if you were getting certified meaning you wont be in shallow water for your first dive which may seem scary but its not bad at all and there is someone right there with you and they teach you everything before you get in the water then you run throuhh everything while your floating which the equipment will help you float so no need to panic. Recommend tipping these guys they do an awesome job.
