A true test of a business’ care and values are how they treat the customers that don’t spend money with them. This is one such business.Austin was not able to get my car in but he went above and beyond helping me find a place that would. I was visiting from out of town, and had just had a toddler break his leg. I was at a loss for where I could get my car fixed enough to drive home to St Louis. With his help I was able to get my car in that day and drive home the next day.
Booked an appointment and met with an estimator. Said he would said send me an estimate. Two weeks later, I still do not have one. Not worth the time, unfortunately because otherwise they were friendly.
Austin seemed to be understanding and well at communicating expect for this was not the case. Service did not fix issues, but instead created more. They got adhesive on the inside of the car which had the part had to be replaced. Upon “repair”, the window seal and trim were not properly re-installed, had to bring car in again for those issues. The trim seal that they were supposed to fix was damaged further, up to the point where they have to order yet another part. Receptionist seemed to be bothered by trying to describe the issue that had been created by their own technician. Company has poor communication, throughout the company, and does not follow up well.

Great service! I had my car repaired here few days back, they did the repair very well and their customer service is very good.I was out of town when I got call from them saying that my car was ready for pickup. And because of that, i had to pay extra amount to enterprise out of my pocket. And Gerber collision refunded me that amount, which I didn’t expect at all.I would come to only this place in future, if i ever have to.
Back in November my wife got in an accident and my insurance recommended Gerber so we went in for an estimate and it was done that day with an emailed total that night. I waited a week to here from my insurance to have gotten the estimate and finally called and they said Gerber had not sent it to them so I had to call them and ask them to send it. They were very kind and said they didnt know why it did not get sent because they had all the information. I then got some documents from insurance and the estimate and total the insurance company received was different from the one I received in the beginning. So I called again and asked what happened, why the difference and why I wasnt informed. They said they found a cheaper supplier for headlights for our vehicle and apologized for not notifying us of the 600$ difference. We ended up going with a different repair shop that communicated better and lower estimate because of lower labor costs

SO.... about a month ago my kid accidentally backed into a co-workers vehicle and did some damage to the front region. I brought the vehicle to a couple places in town including Gerber Collision, off Blue Star Highway.Out of the places that I visited, Austin at Gerber Collision was the most knowledgeable on how the vehicle was going to be repaired and the most patient with all the questions that I had. I picked the vehicle up today and was very impressed with the workmanship, as was my kids coworker. They also finished the repair one day ahead of schedule . I definitely would recommend Gerber Collision Blue Star Highway location to a friend. They helped me when they didnt have to. I was struggling with a decision on a car that was in an accident and they agreed to look at photos and give me their thoughts. Turns out, its better for ME to scrap the car and they told me so. As a result, I trust them and know where I will go if I ever need this type of service. Thank you Mark!
They kept me in the loop on my repairs and did an excellent job, even cleaning my floor mats. Hopefully I wont need any auto body repair any time soon, but if I do Ill definitely use Gerber again.
