This place is unbelievably busy people have been here waiting for 2 hours and longer with no help . The 2 people behind the counter are chit chatting with the people they are with showing no since of urgency what so ever. They just keep complaining about the fact they have to be here by their selfπnot trying to finish effectively so everyone can get there problems solved. Lime we are supposed to feel sorry for them and they are getting paid for it!! I should be paid for it! Craziest Customer service ever! I will switching to att because of this! π₯΅π‘π€¬
I went to the Spectrum store to set up service at a new home we purchased. It was an extensive set-up and I worked with Felicia Redmond and she was fantastic!The store was very busy as noted in other reviews but the staff was competent and worked efficiently. Due to COVID you checked in and waited to be called. I did notice after arriving you can make a reservation in advance and highly recommend doing so.
I arrived this morning at my appointment time with our spectrum equipment. There were only two of us waiting when they opened, and both of us wanted to return equipment. A woman opened the door, and told us that they do not accept returned equipment anymore, and that we have to drive to UPS so that UPS can pack it up and send it to spectrum. π€ We also pay for shipping, by the way.When I arrived at UPS and told the lady there what spectrum had said, she said that itβs not true that spectrum canβt accept the equipment. Spectrum Hilton Head employees simply donβt want to do it. So they send everyone to UPS. Lazy, lazy, lazy.It took UPS about 2 or 3 minutes.
There is only one location. We went there to get our cable boxes and modem. We were #16 in line. There were only 2 employees who worked their fingers to the bone. They were so nice despite being exhausted. We waited over an hour. Basic problem was that people were returning equipment that was supposed to go elsewhere.
1 star is too much for this place. The Mgr is rude, unprofessional, and is no help whatsoever. It shocks me how bad the level of service is in this place.STAY AWAY.....unless you have a few hours to kill watching incompetent people try to figure out what it is they are doing.

Worst customer service ever!!! 2 people behind the counter on a Monday afternoon with an entire waiting room full of people. Other customer service reps behind the counter organizing pens. Waited an hour and a half to exchange a modem for my elderly mother and was told I couldnβt exchange equipment for another user even though the customer service rep on the phone earlier that day told me I could exchange it for her.
Ever since Spectrum has βincreasedβ its speed, my WiFi service has diminished. Huh?Iβm watching a show and all of a sudden the network connection is lost.Really??SAD!

The was only 1 sales person who was overwhelmed! I waited for 40 minutes and the line hadnt moved! One person had an appointment at 1:40 and still wasnt waited on by 2:30! If I cant get my box replaced, I cant use my TV! Why am I paying for it!!
Weekday hours are posted as 9 AM - 7 PM both online and on their door. Arrived at 9:15 AM on December 1st and the place was locked up with not a soul in sight except for the line of angry customers waiting outside. Worst part, there is no number to call this office directly to ensure they are actually open before you drive there. The Spectrum rep on the phone couldnt explain why they were not open.

I had nothing but trouble with this company. For 2 months the internet continually dropped, the they sent clowns to the house 3 times! Once they had 3 clowns here at the same time, with no solution? I took the router back got a new one, still nothing? Finally, I took the router back and closed the account. This was back in July. Out of the blue with no notice I get a bill from a collection agency saying I owed them $81 and change?? If you have other options, DO NOT use this company! They are the worst! And their service is beyond worst.Stay away.

Zip 40071 has an ongoing service issue. Technicians state its coming from the hub that services this area. We have had Technicians to the house at least 5 times. They say it has to be dealt with at a higher level and Spectrum refuses to address it due to cost. In other words when they state their uptime in this area, not true. When they state their download and upload speeds, while technically true, you cant actually use wifi calling because the signal is so distorted the person on the other end of the phone cant hear a full sentence. And you cant actually watch a TV show without the picture freezing and the sound cutting in and out.
They take absolutely forever!!! But its mostly because of elderly people not understanding technology. I cancelled there service, no issues.
Couldnt return my equipment in store had to take it to UPS. Then the address they had for the UPS store what was wrong and it took me all around the block till I found it hidden next to the Piggly wiggly.

Much improved over old Time-Warner operation. In working with business reps, they are good at presenting options. Service at local store is much better than old but still can use improvement. I have had excellent to horrible experiences.
As a 5 year customer, I was very satisfied with Spectrums service and interactions with technicians and store representatives over that time period. Closing my account for an out of state move, however, was a nightmare and fraught with issues over a period of several weeks.Spectrum no longer prorates services for final invoices, so if you terminate your service a few days after your billing cycle, you will pay for a full month. This is stated on their invoices now. To keep my final bill low, I agreed to terminate cable service at the end of my billing cycle but keep my phone and internet for an additional 4 days so movers, etc. could still reach us.This would have been fine, except Spectrum terminated all of our services 2 weeks early and first level support said they could not restore it. That was false as I learned from several phone calls and escalating the complaint over a 2 day period. The senior manager who finally restored my services told me that I would receive a prorated invoice for 4 days and suggested I keep all of my services until I was ready to turn in my equipment. I did that and when I turned in the equipment, the Spectrum Store Rep., said the same, that my final bill would be prorated.Of course, the final bill for 4 days of service was for a full month. Complaints had little effect (one Supv. sympathized and had the power to remove $20 from the invoice but no more.In spite of good service in the past, it seems when you leave the Spectrum family any good will evaporates, first level support is uninformed to the point of being rude and company practices shift to taking unearned profit in an unethical and unreasonable way
I wanted a cellphone plan, and I was told I could not get one because I dont have internet service with them. I dont think it is right anyone should be able to get one.

Account went up. Called and discussed. Assured would not rise again until 2017. Account again rises. Now saying that their representative did offer me that, but he should not have. I only continued and paid the first increase because of his promise. Now they want me to pay a further increase. AVOID them at all costs.
The best TV and internet provider weve found That was my post right after we got the service. Now that weve had it a while, its just another service that is not really interested in customer service. My wife wanted to turn in some equipment for our son and waited about and hour and forty five minutes only to be told she couldnt turn it in because she wasnt on his account. Really... It seems like just a ploy to keep the money flowing in for unused equipment.
I just signed up for Spectrum Mobile, upgraded to a new Samsung S10e AND lowered my cell phone bill by 25% from what I was paying with Verizon just for the coverage. Now thats what I call a NO BRAINER DEAL!!But the best thing was the SUPERB service I received from Matthew (asst. store mgr.). He went ABOVE and BEYOND in helping me set it up and transferring all my data from my old phone to my new one.He did an OUTSTANDING job. Spectrum is lucky to have him.I also want to give a SHOUT OUT to Cheryl at this store who has also gone ABOVE AND BEYOND whenever Ive come into the store with regard to my TOTAL Spectrum account.
Spectrum is a major RIP-OFF. My recommendation is to use Direct-TV, DISH-TV or any other service besides Spectrum. If I could cut my trees down, I would use Direct-TV. Spectrum (Time-Warner) provides terrible service and continually raises their prices. Since being forced to install the set-top boxes, it takes up to 5 minutes and multiple attempts to get my TV to connect to Spectrum. Replacement of the units, tech support and re-booting over the phone and an in-house service tech have not solved the problem.

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. They have only 2 ppl working with well over 50 people on the list. They then announced to the whole store they are only allowed to hire 2 people to work that store at a time. I was there when it opened until 11:50 and I still had over 20 people ahead of me. I walked out when people were moved ahead of me because they had reservations. After this being my 3rd day waiting over 3 hours each to be seen I was never told, not even once, that you could make a reservation. Although, Spectrum, online really messed up my account, Gerardo, at the Hilton Head Store was a pleasure to deal with. Within minutes he straightened out their miss coded info, got us what we needed in a professional and friendly manner. Kudos to him. He is the man to see if you have a problem! Wish Spectrum had a store closer to Sun City and Gerardo was in charge!
The office staff were very friendly, they gave us a good deal of 400mbps for the same price as 100mbps. They didnt require any deposit. Less than $50/mo is a steal.

Overpriced, unreliable, drops when it rains (which is the whole reason you want cable vs satellite), terrible customer service over phone. The only positive is how easy they make it to get a replacement modem from them by taking the old one into the store. Connection is good enough when it works however.
Phone switching was terrible. I tired switching my phones for my business (2 locations) and add phone lines to the new service. I cannot begin to tell you how many times the ball was dropped on their end and how it completely disrupted my business. I encourage anyone whos considering switching, to look at skipping by this company. Absolutely terrible in this arena. Internet and cable TV are fine, but the phone switch was completely screwed up.

Im surprised by all the negative reviews about customer service. This week, we had a problem with the TV cable, and our representative was extremely helpful. In addition...I mentioned that I have an office phone that I could not connect to the WiFi, and would be calling back for help. This was not necessarily a Spectrum issue, although connecting to the WiFi was important for my business. The customer service rep did not give up on me when I called today, and my office phone is working great! Kudos to these reps. They really went above and beyond!
I feel trapped with this service. Besides being very expensive, the internet service is poor. Also, when you call customer service you have to deal with agents that dont understand the English language the way we are accustomed to communicating. This adds stress to the situation of not having full service to have to repetitively ask what they are saying. I am now researching another company that I can possibly use,
If you have an issue that can be solved over the phone or by a tech, they seem to be willing and helpful. If you need to go to their office (e.g. pick up /return equipment), may the force be with you. They changed to all digital so we had to have adapters. Went to their Hilton Head office to get the adapters. #38 on the waiting list and one CSR working!!! Average time per customer seemed to be running 5-10 minutes. You do the math--apparently Spectrum doesnt want to.

One of the WORST accounting departments in the world. I moved to an area where they do not support and had to terminate service with Spectrum. Had equipment that needed to be sent and they stated they would send me out labels in which they did; however, they billed me for the equipment and turned me into collections. Once I did receive the labels, I sent the equipment back. I paid the final bill and still they have me collections. Called and spoke with the billing department and they also so I have Zero balance, yet I continue to get to get mailings from their collection agencies.Until they send an apology letter and verify that I am not in collections, I would recommend pretty much anyone other than Spectrum

This is about Spectrum in general. Took their promotion for a year and today received a letter in the mail that my Spectrum TV was being raised by 85% and the internet by 30%. That will come to approx. $154 per month for the Triple Play! Ridiculous for how little I watch TV, use the internet and have never hooked up a phone to the landline. Hargray is just finishing up installing fiber in the development - looks like time for a change.
I had a very good experience picking up and swapping equipment. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly and sped through the process. My one star deduction is they left out of the bag the remotes, so I had to return to the store.
Horrible customer service. 2 people to assist 36 customers, moving slow, and the reps werent nice. All I need is to return a box. Im not going to wait 3 plus hours to do that, I have things to do. So now it has to be mailed, and I expect to still receive a credit.Also prices have been going up EVERY SINGLE MONTH, ridiculous. DONT USE SPECTRUM. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Customer Service is not known with this company. Tech support is sub par. They cant even reset a user account correctly to allow online payments. The location on HHI is not convenient and if you do not sign in with their stupid iPad that is locked with a passcode then if you dont sign in you dont get any service. Also watch out they jack up their rates without your knowledge, but if you go to cancel they will offer you a special offer. Which is disgusting. I hope they fold. Hargray isnt that great, but at least they have better people working for them. I can not wait for a better company to come along.
A waste of time! I went in with a special offer coupon that I received in the mail for $89 per month. After sitting there for an hour and a half the man told me my bill was going to be $117 per month, he told me that they were all these other fees that were involved in my monthly billing. The two men at the counter then had an attitude with me when I questioned why it was such an increase from the advertised monthly bill!! Save yourself the hassle and just call the corporate sales line if you even want to be a customer of time warner.*** Just an update from a week later after this review. I called Time Warner sales from their website and got everything set up on the phone with free installation. Paying $11 less per month.
I have both phone and cable/internet for my business and home and am satisfied with the service. There have been occasional problems, but they get resolved quickly.

They cant seem to get it right. They are inept and this is one of those times where price savings is not worth the aggravation.They have threatened to hook up my cable/internet now for 5 weeks. They come out and its always the same reason they cant regardless of hours spent on the phone with Customer Service.As a side note, if you call them ask for Mark (2515710) he is especially inept at his job and fails to call you back.

WiFi issue. I called the 888 number, navigated the recordings without difficulty, connected with a real person, Erica, who was very helpful. After determining the nature of my problem, she transferred me to another real person, Stef, who patiently helped me solve the problem. Job well done!

We have to restart modem every day. Often a few times a day. Shows stops and starts. Freezes constantly. The absolute worse we have ever had. Cable ok. Spectrum bad.

I even heard the lady today when I went to return my equipment tell someone if they merge their account to spectrum they will have less channels and a higher bill. Hereβs some advice. GET RID OF CABLE. I upped our att to unlimited and subscribe to direct tv now for 10 dollars. Use our data to steam tv and Netflix. Bought a digital antenna. BOOM. bye bye crooks! Cut the cord!
Ive had time warner for 6 years and I am sooooo very satisfied!! Ive had Hargray, Dish & Direct TV and TW was relief! My bill was just what they said it was with no interruptions in service! I even ordered a movie and it didnt play, I called and not only did they get it fixed, they gave me a voucher for a free movie and popcorn AND credited me for the movie!!! I was so impressed!! Im sold!!
Here is what I think...If you want to talk with the store of your place, guess what...aint gonna happen. I live in hh sc and I had to repeat the problem I had to 50 people on the phone, from Ohio to California, to N.Y. and they could not connect me with Hilton head...because they didnt have direct number (!?). So...support...1 star.The actual store in hh a.c. takes 1 star too(Hargrey doesnt even get 1 star from me)And all these just to get internet.Once we got (like a month later) all good. I can give 4 stars. Although I paid for 60 mbs and my download speed is 16! Upload 9!!After the hurricane I ll check that and I ll updateHere in hh we have spectrum and hargrey only...and my advice is...stay away from hargrey.
I switched to spectrum from hargray and it was a big mistake! I have cable, internet, and phone. Cable sucks. Im supposedly paying for channels that I dont even see on tv when I put them on. Its say call customer care to receive channel like what I have the channel. Im paying for it. Internet is terrible! It so slow! Worser then hargray. Netflix always lags for minutes and minutes over and over and that never happened with hargray. Its so called the best internet but its terrible!!!!!!!!! I regret switching to this service! Im using my LTE right now from Verizon to write this review because it doesnt let me use my internet at home! What?!??

Time Warner calling island folks about late payments when I have been evacuated for a week and a half. I dont know if I have service or not. I dont know if my house is still fully intact. Their response is that I should know that my bill is due the beginning of every month whether I receive it or not. I havent gotten a bill and I really doubt that I received full service. This is beyond the pale of insensitive and inappropriate.So far not great. I cancelled Hargray because Time Warner said that they could install home phone and internet today. Apparently, even though I already have cable with them, the installation tech said that there is a problem with the line coming from the central box across the street. It needs to be replaced - taking 7-10 days when I told them upfront that the reason that I was switching was because of the 7 day window with Hargray to get service added. One hour on the phone with a manager to get their assurance that they would attempt to have working service by Saturday - no promises. The tech left wtthout notice during this time. Now, after the installation, the cable TV service doesnt work at all. And I have been on hold waiting for a manager to resolve that issue for about 30 minutes straight now. Final tally - 43 minutes on hold, and then they hung up on me.More as the situation develops....Eventually, someone came out from the company and fixed the situation. Service has not improved.

Absolute the worst service. I remember when Adelphia was here & service seems no better today. They overcharge every month with hidden fees + lease fees. Long wait times on phone and now they using Indian & Asian call centers which they can barely speak english. Other providers here are DirecTV and Dish Network. Other local providers is Hargray which is way overpriced.
I switched to Spectrum Business thinking it must be the lesser of two evils. Well its not. Absolute nightmare at the business as well as our home.

Spectrum is a rules bound, difficult company with which to deal. The frontline employees are not given any freedom to exercise judgment. The cable service is expensive, jumping 20% in one month. They do not give discounts to existing customers once the promotional period expires.
A week and a half to wait for installation for a new house, time comes for installation and the digging crew forgets to dig how the hell does that happen who knows what was going through their heads, great.
Terrible service. Our favorite channel has been down for three weeks. Ive called several times, no one has been able to get us the channel back, if anything all they have done is add signal to channel and it starts working for about twenty minutes then gets cut off again. Im very frustrated!

Worst experience ever. Took my 11 week old pup, waited inside and outside for approximately 25 minutes and when my name was called I was told 2 or 3 times I had to leave the pup outside. This, after not a word about him being allowed or not allowed previously in the store.
