I was incredibly disappointed with the quality of work that was done on my car. I went ahead and purchased the most expensive car wash here ($35). I expected the highest quality, but the glass under the windshields wipers was not cleaned, I still had bugs all over my grill, and there were still crumbs on my seat where they had clearly not vacuumed. When deciding to pay for the most expensive service, I expect high quality work. Disappointingly, I had to clean what they did not on my own, and coming back from a car wash and having to wipe down your car and vacuum the interior is ridiculous.

Great place to get the bugs off. I go there after traveling to HHI. Keep in mind there is no full service on Sunday. Exterior only and self vacuuming.Go Monday - Saturday for full service.

Never a fan of a car wash that “touches” the paint, but this one seems to really be minimally invasive. I love the vacuums, towels and window cleaner you can use, too. A tad pricey, but the extras make it worth it. Nice to have the option available when I am down a few times a year. 👍

Always go here first after a 700 mile drive from Ohio. They do a great job of getting all the bugs and grime off and their vacuums make quick work of cleaning the floors. Love to start my vacation with a clean car.

Not a bad place, free vacuums and rags with glass cleaner are available. Nice job on our car after 3 days of driving although the bugs did not come off even with the bug pretreatment for the extra 3 dollars. Otherwise all good.

Need to be able to turn tire gloss off. It dirties the rims up with excess gloss. Great car wash.

We love this place! We are part time residents on the island and purchased the wash your car daily deal and it has worked out great. Rags, window cleaner and vacuums are provided if you wish to do your own or purchase the option where the employees clean the interior.

Conveniently located on the Island this car wash is easy to access. The car wash is well staffed with help that is willing to guide you through the process. Free vacuum and rags and spray to use after you get a wash. The vacuum offers plenty of suction and long hoses to accommodate any vehicle.

I have the $29 a month package and it is fantastic. I can wash my car as many times as I want in a month. If I want to get a full service, I just added at the menu and its only $12 more

After a long drive from Pittsburgh to Hilton Head I always like to stop by Island Car Wash to get the road grim and bugs off. No matter which vehicle I bring down they always do a great job especially when I have my lifted truck I can always count on them getting the black shining.

This place is great, they have multiple options for you to choose from, you can have the inside cleaned for you or you can choose to do it yourself. The vacuums are free of charge and they are powerful. They provide interior spray and cloths for your use.

It was a pretty good experience here... I felt like the prewash wasnt so good the guy just sprayed the drivers side door a little bit wish he went around the whole car and on top of the back bumper... The windex cleaner by the vacuum station is watered down so you leave streaks all on the windows but fir the most part for $25 my car was pretty clean.

Just did the breeze through wash for $12. Was okay, but far less thorough than what we have come to expect from Mikes Carwash in Cincinnati for less than $10. Also seemed to leave a film on the car which attracted dirt over the next few days. More extensive (and expensive) washes may be better.Not sure that I understand the response two months later, how can we get better? As I said the quality was lower than expected and the price higher. It took me a very thorough hand washing to get the film off that their wash left on the car.

I was on vacation and couldnt hand wash my car like normal, so I stopped here the facility is nice and clean, all the equipment works well, I payed for the top package which was $25 the car was cleaner than before but it was not exceptionally clean the wheels were still dirty. I have payed less and have seen better results thats why its 3 stars, I will say the process was fast and they moved everyone through in a timely manner.

The automated wash did a fair job. Better than most if you are looking for a true in and out, hit the road clean. For the OCD the free vacuum stations complete with towels and window cleaner is just perfect. Would be a repeat customer if I lived there. The monthly pass would be a no brainer.

Visiting Hilton Head and beaded the car washed before heading home. I honestly have to say this is the best car wash I’ve ever visited. The car looked amazing plus they actually give you window cleaner that is the best I’ve ever used. Was so happy how my car looked. Job well done! Great service.

1st time to try this place credit card system down...came back the next day, they closed up 2 hours early according to the posted hours sign...3rd time... just kidding do you actually think Id try 3 times to give a business my money? I went across the street and did it manually.

Came here on vacation & was so impressed with the towels you could borrow just to dry your car after the wash...not to mention additional spray for windows! I’ve personally enjoy vacuuming my car out & drying it down. They offer full service as well. I wish I had one near home!

Had driven through the largest amount of bugs I have ever seen! Paid for the basic $10. The gentlemen took a good 10 minutes spraying and wiping the front. Before we even got in the automatic wash part. Came out clean as a whistle!

Automatic car wash with lots of expensive add ons. Nice feature is the self service vacuum with clean towels and spray cleaner provided for free. If you want to pay extra they have people to do it for you. Overall the wash is pretty good.

Best car wash in Beaufort county with two locations on the island and in Bluffton. I get the monthly pass and I can wash my car as many times as I want. The self-service vacuums are an absolute blessing

Don’t go on Sunday. Only exterior wash is available. The attendant couldn’t be bothered to do anything extra to get the dead bugs off or spray around the wheels as is done when the full service is available. I’ve been there many times and have been satisfied, not today. Total waste of time and money.

Everything you want in a car wash.

I got the max & it was $30. Worth it. Great wash & 2 friendly ladies cleaned all door jams & vacuumed everything. Also wiped down all our floor mats. I will be back for sure!

When I get my car done, I want a lot of things. Like no drips once you wipe down the car. I hate to see water running anywhere. I dont want to see dust anywhere inside the car. I want my mats clean and/or washed then dried before theyre placed in the car.This place does all of that plus more. In reading some of the reviews I struggle to believe were going to the same place. Does it take time, absolutely. To do everything they do and do it right you better believe its going to run up some time but I want my car looking perfect so Im willing to wait.

I like the towels, window cleaner, and vacuum area, however be sure to double check to make sure you received the correct wash. After a long drive down to HHI I had quite the collection of bugs on my car. I paid for the extra bug wash. Thought it was kind of odd that the attendant just sprayed of my car like the one in front of me. After I went through the wash and was drying my car I noticed there were still a ton of bugs on it. Had to talk to 2 different people and show them my receipt before the let me go through again. This time the actually did the bug wash, where they sprayed and scrubbed it before I entered the tunnel. Good was but be sure to double check that you get all the services you paid for.

Best place to have my car clean on the island. Please, tip people who dry your car. They are excellent.

The old Island Car Wash was great. The new one is terrible unless you just want the $7 basic exterior wash. I paid more to get the “tire shine”, big mistake. A machine merely sprays tire shine on your tires AND wheels. In the 2 mile drive home my wheels were streaked and looked terrible. I can’t imagine who thinks this is a good idea.

I went there yesterday with trepidation after reading the reviews. I purchased the $7 wash and was completely satisfied. Not only did they get 99% of the bugs off after a drive from south Florida, but the owner/manager came out where I was doing some detailing and told me that there are towels, widow spray cleaner and vacuum hoses available for free after the automated $7 exterior wash. Great deal and very friendly!!

I normally go to the Bluffton one and they do a great job. Well I work on the south end and going out of town so I was going to get my car washed on Hilton head. And I wish I could give a negative star. I paid 36.00 and my two year old could have done a better job.

Stopped in while I was in Hilton Head. I am very particular about my car. They did a first rate job including drying it thoroughly so I did nothing to it when I got back to my condo. It will definitely be my car wash of choice when I visit the island.

From the viewpoint of someone who works at Mikes Car Wash would never recommend this place to anybody. Was greeted poorly and was not given a choice in the wash I wanted, they automatically set me up with an $18 wash when I only want the $10 exterior. The wait was extremely long and during the long wait I was able to a look at the outdated and poorly maintain equipment. Within the time I waited I could have washed my own car and saved a hell of a lot money.

I have a 2004 car that had very clouded front headlights. The manager himself made them look like new. A fantastic job well done and he was delightful to speak with.

GREAT PLACE TO WASH YOUR CAR!

I spent 30$ on a car wash for them to pop off a piece on my seat and not put it back, a bad vacuuming job and for dirt to be smeared all over my windshields. When I went to the manager she told the girl to wipe off one of my seats. The girl did half my seat then walked away. I then proceeded to clean my car myself when the manager came back and told me my trunk had to be open for them to clean my trunk. I had opened my trunk but they neglected to even touch it. Too expensive to be walking out with my car looking the same as it did when I came in.

No so much dislike as not worth the money

Took my moderately dirty car in for a Manager Special wash which ran for around $35. The staff was somewhat friendly but nothing notable. I waited about 40 minutes to find that there were many obvious missed spots inside and out. I returned to the wash and confronted the manager - whom was not apologetic. Her solution was to spot clean. That was not a realistic solution so I had them run it through again. After waiting another 20-30 minutes, I was handed the keys to my still dirty car. If I wasnt in a hurry to get to a wedding, I would have spoken to the owner.I would recommend taking your car to a gas station and vacuuming yourself. This will save quite a bit of time, money and frustration.

What a rip-off. Bought the most expensive wash, #5, $29.95. Jacqueline Smith #8, asked if I wanted rain x on my windshield. I said yes. Was shocked to see I was charged an additional $12.50 for rain x on my wind shield. This person was really slick...my fault for trusting that rain x would be included in the most expensive wash. WATCH OUT...RIP OFF!
