This is the second time Emad has done an inspection for us. The first was a few years ago and he did such a great job he was the first person we called to take a look at the home were currently in escrow on. He is a great structural engineer, very thorough. Were in the process of buying a ~120 year old home so it was important to us to go with someone we can trust to be as thorough as he is since the home is so old. I highly recommend him and would definitely go back to him again the future.

I contacted SME Engineering to schedule a structural inspection and Emad responded to my overnight Yelp request first thing in the morning. I was on a tight deadline and he was able to go to the cabin I was in escrow on the next day to conduct a visual inspection. Emad was very thorough, clear and honest on both his verbal explanation of the condition of the house and deck foundations as well as his written summary which included pictures of the areas of concern. Emad uncovered some serious -and some less severe- issues needing correction that the home inspector had totally downplayed. He also provided recommendations to prevent/minimize further damage. Emad kindly took my additional call a few days later to further discuss the recommended repairs in laymans terms, patiently, carefully, without being an alarmist and never rushed. Id use his services again whether for an inspection or to draw plans. I highly recommend SME.

Emad provided excellent detailed structural analysis for a home we were looking to buy. He was quick to identify issues with the foundation of the home and provided full summary of what it would cost to fix a job like that. Technically very skilled in his area and is able to think quickly on his feet. Finally for his objective advice we walked away from the deal which would have cost us a lot of money to fix. Emad is very dedicated to his profession, and on fact providedfreeadvice even before we signed the agreement with him which speaks well of his commitment.

Just fantastic. Emad is exceptionally professional, courteous, communicative and kind. We were in escrow on a vacant land plot in the mountains and had loads of questions (and naivete) on the viability of the land. Emad responded quickly, did a ton of research prior to the site visit (and after), and took plenty of time analyzing the property and answering our questions to help us make an informed decision. Looking forward to working with him further on the geotechnical reports and engineering!

I reached out to Emad and scheduled an appointment with him to look at the foundation of a house I’m looking to buy.
