They were very helpful! Even though my computer wasn’t fixable, they tried and gave me the best advice to move forward with my computer needs. Trustworthy and honest, they kept me updated through out the whole process and took extra steps to try and figure out what the issue was. I will return if I ever encounter another problem! They were also helpful over the phone, I was over an hour away when my issue started and they tried to help through guided steps first before having me drop off my computer. ~ thanks guys

I went in to fix my laptop touchscreen, which had thick black lines all over and was making it hard to see anything. They fixed it in a couple days and even then it only took that long because they had to wait for the new screen. They were very friendly and I thought that the service was fairly priced. Plus they offer a 10% discount to Rutgers students!

I cant rave enough about my experience of working with Link8. I bought a laptop computer from them and months later when there was a slight problem, with no question or hesitancy, they honored the warrenty and repaired it and went above and beyond what was expected to set things up for me, guide me thru the workings and answer any of my questions. I am not a tech person and probably asked the same question 2 or 3 times. I worked with a man named Kyle and he had patience and experience and just hung in there going over step by step until I understood everything. I have called a few times and each time both Ali, the owner, and Kyle have been extremely helpful and very calm and patient walking me thru each point.I was never rushed out of the store or off the phone and only until I felt comfortable did they move on to the next point. I highly recommend buying computer things here and wouldnt go anywhere else.Both Kyle and Ali have made my tech experience painless and now a breeze to work. It was wonderful to work with a store that honors integrity and workshipship and truly puts the customer first !

Fantastic service & shop; Im a regular. In one instance I ordered the wrong replacement keyboard for my laptop, and they SAWED IT DOWN to make it fit. They also sold me an awesome refurbished put-in-their-own-parts desktop at a great price, then researched & installed a new low-profile video card when I needed one for gaming. Theyre quick, competent, & creative.(Should add that Im a PC user, as I see that most of the other reviews related to Macs.)

I first called Linx8 and spoke with Tyler about a problem I thought I was having with my PC. He listened to my story attentively and even asked a few questions about what was going on. I then brought my computer into the shop and was welcomed and greeted. Tyler then made me a ticket and then I felt comfortable with leaving my computer at the shop. I left and after I got back to my apartment, my room still smelled like burnt plastic, despite airing out and removing my computer. It turns out, that there was nothing wrong with my PC and that the problem was actually coming from a plug that is responsible for lighting up my room. I called back, told them I found the problem and then picked up my PC. I felt really bad, wasting their time like that, they even gave it a very nice dusting too. Despite having a very stressful day, I had a very pleasant experience with Tyler and Linx8, and will definitely be going back, if I ever run into any real issues. Thanks again guys!- James

I had a cracked screen recently on my Dell computer and they had the part and fixed it the same day within 2 hours. You cant ask for anything better. Could not fix my problem after multiple attempts. My computer screen was cracked and out of place, and I brought it in to get fixed. They replaced the screen and reset it in the frame, but it kept falling out of place. I brought it in several times to get fixed, but they kept returning it broken. Eventually I gave up and the screen cracked again cause they never set it properly. Will not use this service again.

Great staff! very knowledgeable. I was considering getting a more expensive HDD. Ali and his staff recommended a drive that was $100! less and I have been happy ever since. That was over 2 years ago and Ive gone back to them with other machines ever since. A+ shop.

Linx 8 is definitely one of the best places I have ever been to for getting me started in the IT subject. You guys seem to do an excellent job working hard in your store, and you sell lots of computers, old and new, in many different brands including my favorite, Dell. You also repair computers in your store, and you seem to do a fantastic job making repairs at a good amount of time, and with excellent quality, you make all those customers happy. I have also noticed that you sell lots of accessories for not just computers, but also other devices as well, such as an iPad or iPhone. I would certainly say god bless you because you work so hard for long hours during the weekdays and Saturdays while making wonderful business. I sure hope to visit Linx 8 again soon.

Located right across the street from Stop & Shop, it is easy to find parking. Inside youll find lots of products and parts lining the walls and tables. You wont find expensive or enthusiast parts (people that shop for those go elsewhere anyway) but you will find basic components you need if you are diagnosing something on your own. Other things like cables or peripherals they also have plenty of those too.Theres pretty much always just 1 person on duty. Usually itll be the owner or a few other young males, probably college students in the area. All of them seem knowledgeable about computers and diagnosing issues, but as a system builder myself it seemed like they were telling me what I already knew.I went to these guys to test for a faulty components which both of us had mostly knew one part was faulty, but wanted to check to be sure. I dont think they have a motherboard to test components on, so when they tested my components like CPU, motherboard, RAM, and PSU - I think they just left my parts on a shelf and charged me for having them sit there. I thought this because the cords in the PSU box were packed the same way I left them, either they packed them the same way putting them back in or the gentleman wasnt too descriptive in telling me how he conducted a test of the components.The elephant in the room is, go to Linx8 or Cyber Knight Computers just a few stores down the block for computer repair or IT issues? Both are capable people and if you have a basic issue you could really go to both. But I would go to this store for product selection while more complicated problems I would go to the other.

I have been a big fan of Linx8 since the day they moved to Highland Park. Its near impossible to find a decent Mac Repair place, let alone a spectacular one and I feel truly blessed that one opened walking distance from my house. The owner Ali, is one of the nicest gents that you will meet, he is also a superb computer repair person. He has replaced the Motherboard on my MacBook Pro and done some circuit work as well.I have brought several Macs from him, and not only are his prices reasonable, he gives you a year warranty and totally backs up his service.I have been dealing with computer repair places for over 20 years (going all the way back to the Amiga 2000!) Of all the places I have ever gone to, Linx8 is hands down the best. I heartily recommend them for all your Macintosh and computer needs.

Linx8 Computers did an awesome job of reviving my macbook pro. It suffered from water damage as well as physical damage prior to that but they managed to fix everything very well. I would highly recommend their service. Its great that they take complete responsibility of their work, you can go back to them if you feel your laptop is not functioning and they would continue to work and resolve problems till you are happy.

When my old Mac Mini started freezing and making odd noises, Linx8 offered to run a diagnostic on it at no charge. They successfully diagnosed the problem as a failing hard drive and replaced it. The bill was a bit higher than I expected, but considering what it apparently involves to get into one of these machines, Id say it was worth the cost.

I went to Linx 8 with a broken laptop and they were happy to give a free estimate to see what was wrong. When I later realized I had a warranty on the laptop they returned it to me no problem the next day.

This is a genuine review and I dont do this often, I broke the LCD on my 15-inch retina macbook pro (the most important item in myPossession). Idk how i did it but apple shitted on me, and every other repair shop I called made me nervous with their minimal knowledge of fixing my newer macbook, i took it to this place cause it was near my school (rutgers), they told me exactly what needs to happen, how much parts and labor would cost indiviually and gave me many options of how to go about it, in the end they ordered parts which only took two days, called me to come fixed it on 2 hours made fixed it perfeclty and were very kind, never been happier, these guys are there to do their job correctly and with integrety, would highly reccommened

Last year I brought my uncle mini Ipad he sent it to me so I can find anyone to fixed its broken screen. I went to 10 stores before Linx 8 all of them said its very hard to fix and it will cost almost the price of new one. the owner at Linx 8 fixed it for me half the time and I only paid 1/3 out the other stores said it will cost them.he did it again with me I phone and my wife laptop.I cant think of somewhere else.
