Nebo was super helpful with us and trying to figure out what the actual hell the dealership did to our car the day before we drove 500 miles for vacation. In 2017 went in post pre emissions testing for evaluation. Car ran fine before hand. Not one single problem. Get the car back and brakes don’t work. Literally. Could not push down on the brakes.Of course they said that wasn’t their fault. Although they magically worked before they touched my car.Then for some reason, after that, we decided a couple days ago to take another car in for An oil change before a lengthy road trip. Got the car back, took off down the road and the bottom Cover under the car for the resiv falls off, making us swerve off the freeway and almost causes a wreck with a vehicle beside us and behind him.I’m sorry, is this just bad luck? Or are you guys purposefully damaging peoples cars?

I called Midas mid-day on Saturday without an appointment. I spoke with Josh over the phone and told him that I needed both headlight bulbs replaced. Josh was very professional and explained what I could expect over the phone. He said that since I didnt have an appointment I may have to wait for a while to get the work done but ensured they would be able to complete the job the same day. Once I got to the shop, they greeted me and helped me very promptly. They explained that they needed to order a bulb for my headlight and that it would arrive within an hour. All-in-all, I was in and out within an hour on a busy Saturday without an appointment! Josh was excellent and informative. I will be back and would recommend anyone to this shop.

I called on a Saturday morning with a broken water pump. They were able to fit me in, replace the part and get us up and running before the end of the day. Super nice to deal with and very helpful! I would definitely recommend them for any car service needs.

Had an emergency with a coolant leak in my car and needed to make it back safely to the city. With no prior notice, Josh at Midas took the time to listen and was extremely grateful for his help and expertise. Highly recommended!!

They make me feel like I have a car mechanic in the family. I always ask about the work that is being recommended and the staff are detailed and helpful in providing me answers without being condescending or impatient. They are busy but when its your turn, you have their attention. Once I had something go wrong right at the end of the products warranty. They replaced it promptly and for free as specified. I didnt have to ask - they told me about the warranty! I have been their customer for over 5 years and I wouldnt even think of changing.

I came in with a car that was having trouble starting. Told them the issue was my car could start over a long period of wait time but not immediately after stopping and they said they’d test it. Said it started for them and that they didn’t know what the issue was. They proceeded to tell me everything was fine. Until I go to the gas station the next day and the car won’t start at the pump.I understand that when someone comes in with a starter problem and it starts that there may be some extra work to just make sure everything was ok but giving me “car starts. Car fine” advice is essentially what they did.Took it to another mechanic, explained the problem, they looked at it and instantly diagnosed the issue as something with the starter and it needed to be replaced.Nice people. Bad at their jobs.

Took our Land Rover LR2 into this Midas shop with no scheduled appointment to have the brake rotors and pads repaired and had a great experience. They completed the job in the two-and-a-half hours they projected and the staff was thoughtful and professional. We were especially impressed with the attentive staff and warranty. Well be back!

Went in for rear brake repair and they found something else wrong. ...BUT....it was under warranty, so it cost nothing. I feel they are thorough and dont try tooversell repairs ans services. I wish they had coupons for oil changes.

Extremely rude! I would not go to this establishment. It’s pouring rain. We pulled in to get help they banged on the window to leave. And all we needed were window shield blades! Will call management. No one should be treated this way

Took my car in for tie rod replacement, as well as an alignment. They were so helpful and quick, after the fact actually told me what the problem was with a description unlike other places that just told me cost.

Came in a little before close to mount a tire with a rim. I needed to return my car tomorrow as the lease was up. Guy up front simply said no because they had been used. It seemed he didn’t want the business and managed to imply that it’s crazy that I thought any tire place would change do this go me.Just tires did it an hour later but it was annoying to be talked to like that.

Why the hassle??? Wouldnt rotate my tires for me after asking them multiple times and paying for a full sinthetic oil change. Very frustrating. Went to my regular Gurnee shop near home and they took care of me right away. I dont understand why they gave me such a hard time about it, I just wanted it done.

Great staff. Pulled in with a busted tire and they took care of me. Assistant manager, Brennon, was super helpful. They werent able to entirely fix my situation, due to not having tools that were only available at a dealership, but they helped all they could and didnt charge me.Brennon, if youre reading this, I made it home safe bud ... Haha ... 7mph driving home ... got honked at a bunch but I made it 😎👍

These guys were great! Had a really nasty grinding noise coming from my brakes. Made an appointment at a different Midas but then decided I needed the car looked at asap. Stopped in at this location after work without an appointment and Tom and his team took care of me immediately! Not only did they take a look right away and walk me through all of the issues and most economical solutions, but they committed to getting the job done that same evening, even if it meant staying after Close to get it done so I could drive off in my own car! The job was done in less than an hour and saved me from having to rent a car for a day. Everything runs great now and couldnt be happier!

The Highland Park Midas refused to pay for the tow claiming it wasnt their fault. Arrogant people, unwilling to admit their own faults. Definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I owned a 2001 Toyota Camry. I took my car to Midas to fix a rusty exhaust pipe after being referred to them by another mechanic, because he believed they could do the job for a lower price. They never repaired it in full, but kept fixing a small piece every time I took the car in. At the fourth time, I refused to give them more money. The same fix would have cost me much less at the other shop for the whole thing. Also, the part they repaired was hanging so low that not only Id get stopped by random drivers telling me the pipe was almost falling, but I was also hitting every single speed bump. They refused to fix it even under warranty.

Midas - Highland Park properly and promptly installed the tires I ordered from Tire Rack. Ray and Bryan are a pleasure to deal with. Prices were appropriate for the services provided.

Went in for an oil change for a 2009 ford focus, midas told me I needed new rear tires and shocks and it would cost around $1000. I told them thanks but no. The tires were less than 6 months old and had only a few thousand miles on them at the time. The following month the car was back in Pennsylvania for its annual inspection. When I asked the mechanic, he said the shocks were fine and no honest shop would have told me to replace them.

I made an appointment for 1pm today. Its 1:55 and my car isnt even in the garage yet. Another woman came in after me (around 1:30) because she had a nail in her tire. Her car went in the garage instantly. Im fuming. Obviously I wont be back.

I was impressed by customer service given, not just that they gave a printed statement before deciding but the information of knowledge & attention.

Great shop. I have known Bryant and his crew for a while. They did a fantastic job on my wifes car which needed a major repair (steering rack). The car is a 2000 CRV and had plenty of rust and age but they finished the job and replaced a control arm also which needed to be done. They also kept us in mind and were very carefully with the car as we couldnt afford any extra surprises. The proce for all the work that was done was very fair and the car drives better than it has sense we got it. Im extremely happy with the crew there and will have all my repairs done at this location from now on. Honest and hard working. Best part is they dont give you the BS of trying to fix things that arnt broken. Thanks again for all your hard work.

Went in for brakes on 2006 VW and told him I just wanted pads. He called 1.5 hours later and said it would be $900+ and if I dont do it today it will cost me an extra $1000. $1900 brake job.I came back for my unrepaired car and I asked for a quote he said he would not give me one. A repair shop that wont give a printed estimate is no place to do business.Went to another brake store and was given a written quote and for what Id expect, a bit more than half Midas price. Go figure.Stay away for your own good.
