I got tired of my bill going up with the other company, so I called Farm Bureau in High Point to get a quote. They were very thorough and professional. Saved me a ton of $ on my home and auto, I was able to afford a life policy. The front CSRs are amazing too, very helpful.

If you try to make a claim as a good honest citizen, expect for them to come guns blazing with an investigator trying to smear you into the ground with intimidation tactics and soft threats and they will treat you as though you are a criminal (although you are a good honest hard working family with a perfect background. Inexpensive, friendly on the front side- worthless when you are in need. Take your business elsewhere.

I had to weigh in because these reviews are totally unfair. This is an insurance company. If you go outside your policy, are dishonest, dont pay your bill or dont report your incidents in a timely manner, youre going to have a bad time. This is an excellent insurance company. The people that answer the phones are very helpful, the adjusters care and will help, they are great with their documentation and they are willing to give breaks to people. They bundled my car and auto very easily and Ive been with them for years. I forgot to pay my bill for 2 months and they immediately reinstated me and back dated my policy without a problem. I recommend them.

I read the other negative reviews here and I agree with them. Today I am meeting with another insurance company in the area after wasting 2 months trying to consolidate my policies with Farm Bureau. The biggest issue with this office is that they do not communicate in a timely manner. You have to continually send follow up emails in order to finally get an update. I WAS a loyal Farm Bureau customer for 10 years, and today I will end that loyalty. I am embarrassed that I have been recommending Farm Bureau for years to my friends and family.

HORRIBLE experience. Where to start? I believe most of the fault lies in the corporation itself. Im just going to list it out to speed this up.1. I had coverage from them since 2004 on my property, and general liability coverage, and insurance on 8 rental properties. I paid them in excess of $4,000 per year. In 2012, one of my properties had all the plumbing stolen out of it. They denied most of the claim. All in all I received $1,400 for damages that were in excess of $5,000. All sorts of the damage was not covered. Like the damage done to walls for the thieves to access the plumbing to steal it! Wow!2. They dropped my coverage on all my properties. I got 30 day notice to find a new company. (remember I pay $4,000 a year and I had 1 claim in 8 years in which they paid out $1,400). This was a ridiculous ordeal to go through having paid so much money to them for 8 years.3. So I called and tried to get some help. The guy from this branch asked me who I had my car insurance through and that if I were to switch my car insurance to them, he could stop them from being cancelled. blackmail?. I told him that I have a company vehicle and they are welcome to bid on that when it comes due again. He said you dont have a car in your name? I replied no and he said, Well sir, I dont know what kind of person does not have a car in their name but that might be why we dropped your coverage. I asked what that meant. He said, how does someone who cant afford a car expect to get a break from us? First thing, thats messed up in and of itself. So you only give breaks to people with cars? Specifically not to those who cant afford a car. Second, I can afford a car as can most people that own 9 properties and have paid $4,000 per year for insurance for the last 8 years.4. Paying your bill online is a hassle5. They send you endless letter and mailings and do not have a paperless option at least not when I was a member.6. Their system is old fashioned or inadequate. I would call at the end of the year and ask for receipts for my payments for taxes, and they would ask me, what date did you pay on? I dont remember, well we cant issue receipts without the date you paid. What!? Ridiculous. They would finally get me something after I had to help them figure out how they could tell me how much I paid them for each of my properties.7. With all those properties, I could never get anyone to consolidate the bill. I received so much BS in the mail every year it was depressing. All of that is resolved now with my new company.

If I could leave a 1/1,000 of a star I would. This is the absolute WORST insurance company there is. They screwed me over in several different ways. I go to change and they backdated the insurance policy and which causes a lapse of coverage. Horrible customer service. I wouldnt recommend this company to anyone.

Filed claim on roof damage. They came through with new roof. Switched from State Farm who was overcharging me more than state would allow and wanted me to sign paper to say it was ok. Friendly staff.

This place is a joke don’t get Insurance from these people unless you want to be screwed over and not taken care of if you’re looking for that this is the place for you
