This place is low and degrading. They neglect you and basically toss you aside and hope for the best. Dont go here. Its a waste of time.

Used to see Dr. kirschen and they have blocked the intake services for all patients. Wasted time trying the intake services for months. Hey owner Don’t bother responding back Telling us to leave a feedback lol

I have been going to Central Nassau for a little over a year now and I must say in all honesty that if it wasnt for Central Nassaus amazing staff and terrific offering of programs, I know I wouldnt be in the great place in both mind and body that I find myself in currently. I am eternally grateful for the kindness and expert guidance that everyone has shown me. Personally, I see some negative reviews on here and I know that one has to put in the work themselves in conjunction with therapy in order to progress and grow. I have a feeling that the naysayers are either lazy or have nothing better to do than be negative. I highly recommend Central Nassau and the wonderful people who work there.

A patient here for over 3 years and one of the worst experiences in my life....Therapy here is great however scheduling appointments is a nightmare and extremely unprofessional. The one star reviews show the true colors of this clinic. Its unfortunate that it is all true but there is extreme lack of communication and lack of empathy for their customers. They truly only care about getting paid and not helping you at all. After 5 days of not recieving any call back from my doctor to send in medication electronically to my pharmacy I had to make a decision to leave. Extremely rude and terrible staff who laugh when you are in need of help.

Id like to start off by saying Dr. Vernikof is an amazing psychiatrist and I wish i could just go in to see her.. but unfortunately I had to also visit with a therapist. I was seeing a therapist named Leah C. I found her very unprofessional and an overall terrible and rude therapist. I requested to change therapists with CNG but instead they sat me in a room with Leah and a supervisor and asked me why i wanted to change therapists. It was very awkward and I had to stop going.

I don’t know what most of these people are talking about with their negative reviews. CNG is a positive atmosphere that help individuals gain stability and a better understanding of their mental illness and or addictions the staff is mostly women and they are all genuinely interested in seeing everyone progress and move forward in life CNG is a great stepping stone for all

Im sad to see so many one-star reviews for this place, Ive never had any serious problems or issues other than trouble finding parking or a longer-than-expected wait. Staff has always been courteous and professional, up front and in the scheduling office, and Ive never felt mistreated or ignored by counselors or doctors. Pro tip for anyone having trouble parking: you can park at the soccer field next door. There arent many spots there to begin with but Ive been able to park with no issues whenever I couldnt find a spot in the main lot.

Stay FAR AWAY FROM THIS CLINIC. Their counselors are okay but their scheduling and phone contact services are absolutely unacceptable. I have been seeing them for Therapy/Psychiatry for over a year and numerous issues have come up with scheduling because they literally NEVER ANSWER THEIR PHONES. When they do, they are extremely rude and dont take down your request. I cancelled an appointment shortly before a vacation and still received a notice the next week that I missed my appointment. All of their departments are so disjointed, no one correlates with one another. My psych had no idea who I was even seeing for therapy, the scheduling wasnt getting urgent messages across to my psych, this whole clinic was just a pain to have to deal with. I one time had to leave my job at work so I could drive all the way to the clinic to reschedule something because they wouldnt answer their phones and they DONT check their voicemails in time.

If you want good care, do not go here. The front desk told us we were in the wrong place and address. We insisted it was the correct one. We had to wait for 15 minutes before they sorted it out that we were correct. Front desk is clueless and uncaring. The counselors have to be told about local social services that they know nothing about. What kind of counseling business is this? Run for the hills. They just want to make money.

Very quick to pass the buck. Had work and plenty of other things in life yet was discharged with months of clean urine because I didnt seem to care. Didnt know I was required to care, was required to be there and pass urine screens which I was. As far as counselors go a few are good but most couldnt care less what happens to you. Despite this I went back because I needed to complete somewhere. I was told it was a 6 month program but 5 months in there clean they couldnt tell me anything about discharge. I left. whats the point of staying somewhere if youre just trying to get through it and they decide to keep you for no good reason? I getting real help from a private doc now.

They have a ton of different services. Inquire and be proactive and they willLead you in the right direction. They are understaffed or assigned too many peopleit’s not easy for both sides so help them help you.

.wish I can give these people a zero star my handicapped brother was in there care and they did nothing for him had a mentally handicapped person go to a clinic when he needed more therarpy no communication, never did their jobs in making sure he was doing the right thing, took him out of there and hes at maryhaven much better place for your loved ones not this place it should be shut down all these people do is collect a paycheck and dont do squat for anyone my brother Vincent is in a better place thank God good riddance

Some of the staff here is rude especially in the scheduling office. When you call them, they put you on hold a few times and use speaker phone. I let her know that it was hard to hear them, then she put me on hold again.The young white girl acts like shes the boss and is very snooty and talks at you and so does the other lady with the glasses. If you cancel your appointment, they give you your next one weeks ahead and play games. Just an update as of September 2020, since this situation, Ive been liking having appointments over the phone so I dont have to deal with them.

Wonder Staff across the board. I hoghly reccomended it especially for families.

I can agree that the front desk is unorganised and at times unfriendly. But the rest of my experience at CNG has been great. I like that there is a team of people that can help you, instead of one individual therapist. The selection of group therapy sessions are great and I have received a great deal of comfort and security in them. I havent met them all but most of their counselors are well mannered and genuinely want to help. You always have the option to switch individual therapists. I havent been to many facilities like this, but I have foundfound it very helpful and an overall good environment.

Need to fire everyone especially the front desk receptionist. No respect and don’t care to work. All you’re doing is checking people in. The counselors are rude and unhelpful. I give this place no stars.

Just dont go here. Seriously just dont.Saw their NP. Was on over five different psychiatric meds at the same time and told I had bipolar. I suspect this was just to sell medicine as I regularly saw her meeting with reps from companies. I asked to be taken off of it because I found the treatment excessive for my personal condition (a lot of uncomfortable side effects) and was just told no pretty much. Asked to switch and saw another psychiatrist who didnt reevaluate me at all and just continued what the first one did. Sessions were dominated with talk of how much I needed to lose weight instead of actual problems. I eventually left never to return and weaned myself off the medication because I was told they werent going to do that multiple times.Literal years later I received some ridiculous bill about how I owed for appointments I never went to but never cancelled. I made sure to follow the cancelation policy every time so I knew this was categorically untrue. Knew it was that way after I sent a letter back telling them Im not paying and that they had to recheck the records and I never heard from them again. Shameless money grab and with how they treat patients I can see why theyre starving for money.As for me? Off of medication completely and in therapy and better than Ive ever been. Not gonna mention my current diagnosis but bipolar is 100% not it and far too excessive. My diagnosis isnt even a mood disorder or remotely near the same family.Seriously just dont. This place is a joke and how they havent been completely shut down is beyond me. And if anyone reading this has the authority to do so, please. Youd be doing the entirety of psychiatric Healthcare a favor. My only regret is that you cant rate something a 0.

Some of the individuals here need to be investigated for harassing others. I would never do business with these despicable individuals.

I rate them ZERO stars, but i have no choice Since that is not an option. HORRIBLE. When going to them i was getting back positive urine samples when i knew they were negative. Since changing rehabs i havent had one problem. This place is horrible, unfriendly, uncaring and the worst place i have ever been to. Horrible customer service and horrible counselors.

They only want your money, never ending treatment on trumped up diagnosis. There is no scientific reason that they diagnose you, just on what you say to them. Legal drug dealers, and therapist who abuse you, neglect you, and encourage dependency on them. Make you think you are their friend, their only support, the solution to your problems or play psychological games.

Very poor care for clients and customer service. They say they try to help people but they create too much bureaucracy and process get in the way of actually getting in touch with people, helping them, and making a difference. This is a process driven center with no care or respect for the patient.
