Wow!!! Finally an honest Professional Auto Body!!! I am absolutely thrilled with the work that Ernie and crew put in to fix my truck! I have never had a better experience anywhere, It was super easy someone hit my truck and left while it was parked. My first call was Ernie’s.... Tammy had me bring in my truck and helped me with all insurance details even speaking with the adjuster for me. 3 days later I had my truck completely fixed and detailed. I am not one to leave reviews ever, but i feel like i have to with the customer service i dealt with from this place. I went in for an estimate on aug 11th the day after my car was hit, and they told me they will be in touch with me. I called about 2 days later and asked what was going on with bringing my car in. They told me they will get back to me, i called multiple times throughout the next week and they had no news for me. I was being patient and eventually had no other choice but to find another shop. which by the way they got me to bring my car in in under a week. Then Ernies finally called me A MONTH AND 4 DAYS LATER and told me that i can bring my car in. Complete joke. I realize these things take time but not once did they call me with an update. I called them every single time. Terrible communication

Ernies Auto Body is the place to take your car to be repaired after it has been in a collision!!! Tammy and Ernie are the best!They both make you feel like you are part of the family which is why I have been going there for over 20 yrs now.They take care of every detail from start to finish and leave your car like it was better than new if that is possible!!Tammy works directly with your insurance company and they even coordinated getting me a rental.We had a problem with a part not being available and Tammy had me call Chevy to start a claim, then she jumped on board. Since the truck was ready sans the grill, they gave it back to us to use and save on the rental. And within a few days they had the part, made us come back to put it in and we had the truck back that same day.An awesome experience every single time, if you can truly say that after a car accident!

I had gotten into an accident and took my car to Ernies Auto Body. Tammi in the office couldnt be any nicer and was able to answer all my questions. They were able to handle everything with my insurance company and were able to set me up with a rental car. They were so helpful in a time when I didnt know what to expect. They did a fantastic paint job it looks brand new. They did it in a timely manner and completed the work on time. I would recommend Ernies Auto Body because it was an overall fantastic experience.

My car was damaged by unsecured debris that fell out of the back of a pick up truck on the highway. I brought it to Ernies auto body (the shop both my family and I have been using since I was a kid) and I couldnt be happier worth the results. The damage was to the front end on the passenger side. When I got the car back (which is now 16 years old) I couldnt be happier. The car looked like it just rolled off the showroom floor. There isnt a better body shop on the island. (Headlights are different due to awaiting custom parts for a custom headlight retrofit)

I’ve never been to a better and more professional auto body shop in my life. My car was a reck when I brought It in and I was So upset about it, but the staff there and even the owner really took their time and helped me out a great deal! They did such an amazing job on the body work as well as the interior work that needed to be done after my accident. My car was so shiny and clean when I got it back and smells so good ! They are all very kind and understanding people there. As the work they did on my car was amazing, so are the people and that’s a big important part of a great, well rounded business! I will continue to always go to them as they do the job they promise they will do and live up to their word, and also they are very honest and trustworthy ! I have already told others about them and to go to them if they ever need any work done ! Don’t even think about going, just do it ! You’ll never be happier with any other work/results than the ones they will give and promise you!

Hydroplaned across the I-495 under stormy weather. Went from the HOV lane all the way across the highway, spinning and met the metal railing on the right side of the highway. Front, sides and back took damage (front and back worst than anything else). Decided to send the car here for the night till I figured stuff out (first accident ever). Next day they contacted me from the shop and explained everything that I had to do, and I dont know... the way they spoke to me over the phone, so professional, reassuring yet so caring and homey just gave me a very good feeling that my car would be in good hands. They invited me over for the paperwork the same day and once I went, that was It!!! Karen and Tammy took amazing care of me and my wifes questions and uncertanties we had, funny enough, not even in a professional way... it was more of a loving way, like, a family way. And that seal the deal for me.Once my car was done... OMG!!! They left my baby looking better than shes ever looked before, Honestly, even teared up as I gave the whole tour look of her! She was left perfect!!! And again!!! That caring atmosphere, the warm heats the caring, was all there!!!So, if you took a second of your time to read my experience, thank you! Getting into a car accident is never something you want to experience. Someone made an illegal u-turn as I was crossing an intersection (She thought she had a green arrow) and hit the front end of my car. I’ve never been in an accident before and I’ve never had my airbags deploy. A terrible, frightening experience I never want to experience again. My car had moderate front end damage to the passenger side and needed multiple airbags replaced (Steering wheel, under dash, passenger side airbag). My car was taken to Ernie’s autobody and I wasn’t sure what to expect. My car is fairly new and is a lease and I didn’t want to be charged money for an aftermarket part at the end of the lease. I had thoughts of taking it to my dealers preferred body shop but upon speaking with Tammy at Ernie’s she made the decision easier. They only use OEM BMW parts. Ernie’s works with a BMW dealership not too far from the shop and they get their parts ordered from that dealer.Tammy was excellent with helping me along through the ENTIRE process. She set me up with a rental car and provided me with updates on my cars progress. My car stayed at Ernie’s an extra 2 weeks due to BMW’s recall on one of the airbags. Tammy spoke to BMW on my behalf and expedited the recalled part and my car was back together. After about 6 long weeks my car was finally repaired. The Pictures speak for themselves. They even detailed my car and through in some gifts as well. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for auto body repairs to check out Ernie’s Auto Body. I was recently in an accident and needed a place to take my car to get her fixed up. Upon the recommendation of my mechanic, I brought my car to Ernies Auto Body and Im really glad I did. From start to finish the entire staff was super helpful and really nice. They handled everything with the insurance company and kept me informed of everything as it happened. Id especially like to thank Tammy at the front desk because her cheerfulness and professionalism is really appreciated when you have to deal with all the anxiety and shenanigans of significant body work done to your car and the hassle of insurance. But beyond the great treatment of the staff, I was even more impressed by how unbelievably amazing the car looked when they were done with it. I did a double take because if I didnt know better, Id say they swapped out my car with a brand new one! She sparkles and shines like she just rolled out of the show room. Every time I walk to my car to get in now, I pause for a moment to marvel at it. My car is 12 years old and it now looks like its maybe 12 days old! Ive been telling everyone I know about the great work Ernies did and theyve definitely made a customer for life out of me. If you have any body work they you need done, do yourself and your car a favor and bring it to Ernies. Youll be getting your moneys worth for sure.

Accident is always a horrible experience, specially if the car is only few weeks old. The only way to make it any better is finding a good workshop. I have to say Ernies Auto Body made the whole experience bearable. They did a fantastic job, from handling insurance company to fixing the car. Insurance company tried to cut corners on replacing damaged parts and the way Ernies Auto Body handled insurance company for my interest was amazing. Great Work by Ernies Auto Body! I was out of state and got rear ended by an Allstate customer. I mistakenly used Allstates app to file my claim (Dont file a claim on the app). I did not approve of the Allstate quote, but Allstate still mailed me a small dollar check, and closed the claim. I was on the road, and when I got to New York, I contacted several body shops that basically did not want to deal with the Allstate issue.I then contacted Anthony, Tammy, and Ernie at Ernies Auto Body. All three were great. Ernies was able to reopen the claim with Allstate. They discovered additional damage, and worked with an actual human Allstate adjuster to cover the correct repair costs/bill. They also arranged for a rental car while mine was in the shop. I ended up with no out-of-pocket expenses. Paint job looks great, and car actually looks better than when I first bought it!Thanks Again!

My family started going to Ernies Auto Body over twenty years ago. I have brought several cars to Ernies during the last ten years. Ernies work is impeccable!! He and his entire staff are super professional and relieve the customer of the agony and frustration of dealing with the insurance company after an accident. Ernie is old school, no nonsense, and a staunch advocate that fights for the customers rights when dealing with the insurance company. Ernie and staff are intent on making the customer experience as pleasant and stress-free as possible. Any and all vehicles that I have brought to Ernies for repair looked like they came out of the showroom when finished. My latest trip to Ernies was for a sideswipe with not a tremendous amount of damage to the left front fender. The car was finished a week ahead of schedule, washed and detailed making it look better than when it was purchased from the dealer. I would be remiss if I did not mention Tammy who I dealt with in the office and on the phone. Tammy is and was the epitome of customer service and someone that clearly takes pride in her job in helping people through what would otherwise be additional stress if it was not handled in the professional manner that Ernies Auto Body has consistently demonstrated. I need to put Ernie on speed dial because the sooner he gets involved, the easier my situation becomes when someone crashes into my vehicle (I think there is a magnet that pulls people closer to me when I am driving:). So, had the misfortune of getting into an accident. Airbags deployed, front end a mess, etc. I was in Hicksville and the vehicle was towed to Ernies.Experience was great from the start. It was just before the holidays. Weve dealt with some places in the past that were not very friendly, but from the start everyone at Ernies was great.Ernies dealt with the insurance company from the start and the end result worked out best for us given the situation.No one ever wants to be in an accident, but I can say for certain that if we in one again, well choose Ernies, and of course if we need collision/body work of any kind!

Ernie delivers the best customer service and workmanship I could ever hope for. Coming back to the train station I saw that my car’s back side bumper was hit. I brought it to Ernies and I got a fair price for the repair, especially when compared to other auto body shops near my house, and he was able to do it in a very timely fashion. I just had my vehicle fixed at Ernies for some body damage I got in an accident. Once I brought the vehicle to the shop, Ernie arranged for Hertz to come over and pick me up from the shop so that I would have a rental vehicle while the car was repaired. The quality of work that Ernies provides is exemplary. He made my german luxury vehicle seem as if it just came off the lot. Ive had my cars fixed by Ernie several times and his work never fails to impress. Ive challenged my friends to try and find where the damage was before Ernie fixed it and nobody is ever able to pick the spot!Most importantly, Ernie is really fair in his pricing. Hes a regular guy who respects people who work for a living and understands that not everyone has money coming out their ears to pay for mistakes made while driving. With a completely customer oriented staff and work that would amaze a perfectionist, Ernies Auto Body is the place to go for any repairs large or small. My 2013 car was in a major front end collision when I was going 40mph and a car turned in front of me. With a bit more damage I suspect my car would have been deemed totaled! Ernie repaired my car to showroom condition. All work and parts needed were clearly spelled out and reasonably priced. With a perfect paint job and Ernies attention to detail, its impossible to tell my car ever had a scratch on it. When I picked up my car it was sparkling clean and the young man even mentioned it was washed more then once because of all the pollen in the air this time of year! I smiled again when I noticed a small bottle of touch up paint left in my console in case I need it in the future.With the super friendly ladies in the office who helped with all the details, including insurance paperwork and the rent-a-car arrangement, I couldnt be more pleased with my experience at Ernies.Many thanks,Tony Masta

I have gone to various auto body shops but Ernie takes the Cake for being a big rip off! As small he is so is his business. Hes a very greedy little guy. I went to show my wifes Honda there for a free estimate and his price was $1400 more than Masters, Bob and Freds and others.Truth be told, DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND DONT TRUST LITTLE ERNIE!

Ernies auto body is the best shop ive ever went to, and ive been to alot. But i will never go to another one again. I was having trouble with the ins. Company and they did not want to cover the damage done to my car, ernie got on the phone and he took care of it and got everything covered! I couldn’t believe it i was so happy! Then when i got my carBack it was like i was driving it off the lot brand new for the first time, it was SPOTLESS inside n out, but especially the inside, ive never seen it so clean, they even cleaned out the ash tray i had in my cup holder! Everything about the car made me happy and shocked it was such a good job and i didnt have to deal with the ins. Company cause ernie took care of everything, DEFINITELY RECOMMEND COMMING HERE!
