I live 2 blocks from Main Street. In theory, this area is wired well. However, the service cuts out almost every night. Good weather, bad weather, late at night, middle of the day. I get maybe an hour of uninterrupted internet at a time.As with others reviews recently, when Morris merged, my monthly rate doubled and then I was offered a $10 reduction on that. Oh, yeah. PLUSS a connection fee of $30 even though I have had continuous service.I will look elsewhere.

I had cable and internet service installed just over four weeks ago. I am happy with the service so far but the installation still has not been completed. The utilities to our home are run underground from the utility pole. Morris Broadband was aware of this prior to installation day. The technician that connected the system had told us that another crew would bury it in two weeks. As I said that hook up to the system was a month ago. Since then my cable wire lays across the yard and driveway. I have to drive over it every time I come or go. Today I am told that the wire will probably not be buried for another 2 months. Wow.

My bill went from $44.95 a month to $59.95. Thats only after I called the off shore customer service number and complained about it increasing to $63.95. So far, a price increase is all Ive gotten from Optimum. I was extorted into paying the $63.95 in order to get a new discount. A$15 a month increase is ridiculous. Very dissatisfied!

I now understand why Morris Broadband charges so little (compared to Charter Spectrum) since dealing with this company is more than a challenge and will test your patience to the limit. If you do happen to get through to their customer service for issues with your bill or tech support, be prepared for a less than stellar conversation that leaves you so frustrated you want to bite a nail. Never will I complain about Charter Spectrums high prices, it was so worth every penny.

Not to mention the other internet provider in town. (Never knew what my bill was going to be with them, hidden fees, always higher than the last bill. Needless to say, their history. When you call for service to be installed you give Morris your address obviously, they should be able to confirm at that time if you are in a serviceable area. Unfortunately they mislead you into thinking that you are when you are not. This is happened to us twice first when we initially moved from Michigan and second when they joined forces with a secondary company and sent out misleading flyers saying that we are now in an area that can be connected, it was once again a lie. But they still let you make an appointment rearrange your day only to have them come out and tell you that your address which they should’ve known in the first place was not in your covered area is not serviceable. It is a horrible example of poor business management and the upper management not knowing what’s going on with her own company.

I call customer service and they tell me they can put me on top priority for a repair...great I thought...an hour maybe two...NOPE...tomorrow...maybe...hopefully. Unbelievable! Who in their right mind treats a new customer this way? I would drop them like a bad habit and eat the $150 if I had another option. Unfortunately they are the only service available...which is why they treat their customers like trash I am sure.UPDATE...Not that I am surprised but the service technician was a no show today...stayed home all day waiting on them to come fix my internet like they said they would and nothing...no one showed...no call...just stood up and still no internet!

So far my experience with Morris has been very positive. Although I question their need to send out a service tech for a problem as simple as pairing a cable card, to me its a waste of time (mine), money, gas and wear & tear on a vehicle.I understand that some customers are not capable of pairing a cable card even though its only reading (3) sets of numbers off the TV screen to someone on the phone but for those of us who are, it is annoying that Id need to take time off and wait around all day for something that I should be able to fix myself with 10 minutes and a phone call.(they dont give specific time windows for a service tech, just sometime between 8-5)Outside of that one issue my internet and cable services have been consistently strong with very minimal outage even when I thought it probably would be.Given the choice between Frontier and Morris, Morris is hands down your best option.

On Nov 18, 2020 we had a contractor for Morris put a line across our property to another property. When the contractor cut the line to other property they cut right through our leach field for the septic system for the 3 units of our condo. This is private property and not one of the home owners was notified of the encroachment of our property. I was told that a supervisor would meet with me today Nov 19, 2020 at 9:00 am, it is now 10:45 and not one word from Morris Broadband. AT&T has laid lines through the very back of the property for cables going to this same building away from our septic system. I moved to Hendersonville almost one year ago. My landlord suggested I use Morris Broadband since its what he used and it would be easy to get started. From the moment I called they have only ever been professional and punctual. The wonderful women I spoke to on the phone was very helpful and so nice that I wanted to keep chatting even after she answered all of my questions. I wish I remembered her name so I could thank her personally.I have never had an issue with my internet speed and connectivity. I believe a lot of grievances come from an outdated router which are not provided by ANY internet company and up to the customer to purchase. The main difference between a modem and a router is that a modem connects you to the Internet and a router distributes the Internet connection to your devices. Most companies will provide their customers with a modem, and again, its up to YOU to buy a capable router.I would happily recommend Morris Broadband to anyone based off my experiences with them. If you read this Morris Broadband, thank you for consistently providing me with 200mbps! And for one of the best prices in town (actually most places Ive lived)!TL;DR - Do it. Call them. I’ve spoken to customer service repeatedly and their answer was that “I” should purchase a router from a 3rd party to guarantee I’ll receive the speeds I’m paying for monthly (Which they can’t guarantee). Why would a company sell an internet service and not provide you with equipment that allows you to utilize it to its fullest?? If it weren’t the fact that Morris is only one of two internet service providers in my area (frontier being the other which is worse!), id discontinue Morris service and seek service elsewhere. Dont listen to any other review but this one. Other peoples reviews are based on variables not controlled by Morris Broadband. We pay for 300 mbps and almost always get at least 270 down, 16 up, and 10-30 ms of latency. Remember, if your device doesnt have a good wifi card, it wont work well. And to get these speeds, you need to be connected to a 5G network. The only problem is price. Other companies have faster speeds at a lower price, but if you need faster speeds, Morris is a great alternative. Also to keep in mind, outages happen, but not that often, although their outages are a little more frequent than AT&T, its not something to worry about.

Ive had very few outages or problems and when they did occur, I had no trouble reaching customer or technical service immediately. Each time, the representative went over the problem with me, made an attempt to fix it remotely, and if that wasnt possible, scheduled a service visit. Today, I had a problem, got a representative, and it couldnt be fixed remotely. A service representative arrived within 45 minutes (on a rainy Easter Sunday) and fixed the problem in the cable box serving the house.
