Serena is absolutely the best employee at Origin! Shes awesome, just like the gym. Its a great gym, with a huge amount of space and climbing routes. Prices are really reasonable and the 24 hour member access is awesome. Its never too busy, but theres always friendly, familiar faces around. Great community environment. Even if youre not a climber, theres plenty of traditional workout equipment along with treadmills and such.

Wow This is going to be my favorite rock climbing gym in Las Vegas. Friend of mine told me about it and we decided to check it out together.First impression was:”Wow, it’s so spacious and clean!”. We got greeted right away and stuff at the desk was super sweet and nice. Sam gave as a tour right after we filled out a waver. He took his time to show us around and we were impressed. You can get rentals there as well. They have sanitary stations everywhere. Please take a look at the photos and you will see that this place is more just a climbing gym. We really liked lunch/break room and all the colorful climbing walls. They also have a volunteer on site to help you lead and do a top rope.We can’t wait to come back again! Thank you so much for such a great place to do climbing and just have fun while doing this.

We were in the area for a week and looking for a place to climb. Google led us to The Pad and we couldn’t be happier. We showed up at opening time (11am) and were greeted at the door. We filled out our waivers and were climbing (with free rental harnesses and shoes) within a few minutes. We started bouldering before moving on to the auto belay. There was an excellent selection of routes for both me and my 6 year old daughter. The gym was spacious, the walls were great and the staff was amazing. We will certainly be back.

Great gym. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The girl that greeted us was fantastic (sorry I didnt get her name) and answered all my questions. This was the first time I had been in a wall gym and she was more than willing to make sure both my son and myself had our bearings about us before we started climbing. They have an insane amount bouldering and big wall problems to solve with 6 auto belays for beginners and anyone going in solo. I will absolutely be going back.

Theyre great. I had a membership with them last year, but I ended up having to cancel it (without incurring any cancelation fees btw). I went back today because I recieved two birthday passes and I saw that there were a few improvements from the last time I was there. Theres AC, the staff/people are great, they also have a mini basic gym, and they dont play with your money. What else can you ask for?

Update review 5 out of 5: its Friday right at memorial weekend 2021. Zach gave me an intro course today. It was absolutely awesome. I was excited the whole time. He was very informative. I wanted to take the top rope course and he explained the difference between the that course and the intro course and I decided on the intro. I was even thankful he double checked with me. The intro was a must. You can definitely go on your own and learn on your own but it is much more helpful with his knowledge. After the class he said I was welcomed to stay all day but I was very exhausted after the intro class and that was with him giving me breaks and letting me go at my own pace. I was thinking of getting the monthly but he suggested I try the 10 day pass and he suggested I activate it after a few days from today since my hands were killing me from the class. Im very pleased with my visit honestly. Im looking forward to starting the 10day trial after this weekend. I would say go to this facility, try it out yourself, if you arent happy let them know, write a review on detail; dont just be a jerk and say no dont go be detailed about what you didnt like but honestly, try this place for yourself. There are much more positive remarks on here then bad. I completely did a 160 on my review from the 1st time I came. I had a great time today and I definitely feel more knowledgeable about this sport. Thank you Jaz for reaching out and wanting things to be better for me. Thank you Zach for all your knowledge and encouragement. Today was a total success.Update review 3 out of 5 stars: its Saturday night and the owner replied to my review. Im very please with our communication and her willingness to make it right. I can already tell that Im most likely going to update this review once I get in. When a facility replies to a good review, thats good because it means they pay attention to whats going on in their business -but when a facility replies to a bad review and does not reply back with excuses but rather replies to listen and to assess the issue, well, thats honestly awesome because it not only means they are paying attention but it also means they actually care about whats going on with their business. What I love is the owners willingness to try and make it better, thats seriously awesome. My updated review is based on the communication that was lacking previously. I will update my review again once I actually use the facility.Past review at 1 out of 5 stars: I went in on Wednesday to get some information. I was really excited as I took the tour and I wanted to sign up for the intro class and I was told I would get a contact back in a few minutes and hed get my information to sign me up. The guy that showed me around was the instructor himself and he said the minute you leave here Ill contact you to get your info since I signed the waver and class interest form. No one called me. So today, Friday I called early to hopefully get signed up because I did tell him I wanted to do it this Saturday. I had to leave a message because they said he was busy. So I waited for a call back and now 7:30 pm and still no call back so I called again and I was told he would call me when he was back in. So I asked if it would be tomorrow and the guy couldnt even tell me. Honestly, the dude sounded high and couldnt provide any valuable information. Looks like Ill have to look for another place since they dont want new customers and I was really interested. Management and the owner should know who they are leaving unattended

Ive climbed in dozens of gyms all across the country, and this is one of the worst Ive ever climbed at. (One in Oklahoma was arguably worse, only because it only had a handful of routes above 5.10, but you could argue that thats because Oklahoma doesnt have a strong climbing community, and the gym is just catering to their audience.)The setting is amazingly uninspired here. None of the routes seem to have any purpose. The walls are also way shorter than necessary. Yes, the space is squat, and there are some inherent limitations, but there are creative ways to work around that (a roof, a cave, creative use of volumes). The lead wall is so short that they have to make every route super traversey—in ways that make it unsafe. Because of the meandering routes and short walls, theres deck potential from the 3rd clip on every route. (There are only 4 clips, plus anchors, so this means that 2/3 of the route has a risk of ground fall.) I almost landed on my partner AFTER clipping the 3rd draw, but before getting to the 4th.On top of all this, we got swarmed by a group of 30+ teenagers from Texas (were still in a pandemic, folks) who had zero awareness of Covid safety or climbing etiquette. Why is the gym allowing swarms of out-of-state children to overrun their gym, at the expense of the local population?? No interventions from the staff.Net net, I hands down 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND this gym. Id leave some skin at Gun Club before climbing here again.

This is the best climbing gym Ive ever been to. In addition to friendly, helpful employees, they offer the following things, all of which Ive never seen another climbing gym offer.- Free climbing shoe rentals to use in the gym- Free bouldering pad rentals, up to 5 days at a time (for members)- Free climbing harness to use in the gym- 24/7 access to the gym for members- A slackline!- A wifi loungeAll of this at a very reasonable price. And the variety of their bouldering routes is top notch. They are constantly adding new routes, and have a gigantic bouldering area. You could climb here 4 days a week and never need to project the same bouldering route twice.Highly recommend!

Origin is my favorite indoor gym to climb at in the Las Vegas Valley as its the biggest facility in town with a wide variety of bouldering, autobelay, top rope and lead climbing routes available. Bouldering ratings are super soft. Softer than any other gym out there. And weve been to probably 20 gyms from the west to east coast. During the summer, the daycare kids are super annoying, running all over the place, and the employees dont tell them to quit screaming and stop running around. Other than that, a fun place to get a workout in.

They ask if its your first time and if it is they show you around the premise and let you know where everything is there. They would even check up on you and if you struggling with a particular boulder they would instruct you on where to place your hands and legs. I just wish it was a little closer to home otherwise I would definitely sign up for their monthly membership.

I’ve been to this gym many times as I’m constantly visiting Las Vegas and it’s conveniently close to where I stay. It’s a nice size gym with new walls and a good selection of climbing holds! The route setting is OK, and there’s enough hangboards and system walls for a good training sesh. The weight/cardio section is kind of small but I’ve never seen the gym busy enough for this to be a problem. The lead climbing section is kind of small and the grades don’t ever go past hard 5.12. This is fine given the average level of climber at the gym, however the bouldering seems to go up to like v9/v10 so I don’t know why there’s never any 5.13’s when I’m there. The overall community in the gym is lacking, it just doesn’t feel like a climbing gym to me.. The staff also does not do a very good job at contributing and making you feel welcomed. Multiple times have I walked in for a day pass while nobody is at the front desk. For me, the most important part of a climbing gym is the atmosphere of the place. They have all the pieces to make a super cool climbing gym, but the community has not been built properly and it doesn’t feel like a second home as a climbing gym should. Maybe this is just because the gym has only been open for a couple years now, maybe it’s because of the area, or maybe it’s because there are not any crushers working at the gym (aside from the lead setter Andy, I think his name is)Whatever the reason, I hope to see this change soon, I’ve climbed at Origin 30+ times since its opened and every time I go it feels less and less appealing 🤷🏻‍♂️

The gym is nice! Very well organized and maintained. The reason why Im giving 1 star is because the staff is very rude. Ive been to many climbing gyms across the country and have never been treated so poorly. Upon walking in the gym no one was there to greet us, a lady that was off that worked at the gym had to come up and greet us. A few minutes later another girl came up and said she could help us. We began to ask questions about season passes, every question we asked seemed to bother her. Ive been to all the climbing gyms in nevada, this gym is the nicest, the other gyms though are very welcoming. You feel like you belong there and belong to their community.I do think the pricing for passes is to high for a couple. But all in all the gym is very nice but the staffing are very rude. Also if you want to be taught how to belay they do charge you. They only let you use their belay devices which are grigri. I dont personally like them and wasnt comfortable with using one. I have had one fail on me in the last. I plan on returning to the gym only because it is a nice gym especially their bouldering.

Tip: If you try to get here by clicking on Directions directly from the Yelp app, the route is off and youll get lost on an overpass without access. Type in Origin Climbing directly into the Google Maps app and itll get you there. As for my actual experience here, I loved it. I came here with a friend and we took the Intro to Climbing class. Our instructor Tim was awesome and he ran a class that was informative and engaging. Awesome place! They have tons of bouldering, some top-rope and auto-belays, a lead area, plus lots of training tools. Additionally, theres a well-stocked cardio/weight room to round out your fitness. The routes themselves have a lot of variety - everything from easy to hard, slab to overhanging. You can come in at any skill level and you will have tons to do. Plus, theyve been really good at rotating in new routes - by they time youve managed to climb the routes at your level already in the gym, there will new problems waiting. The staff is very friendly and helpful, as tend to be the fellow climbers. Really just a great place and worth checking out!

Here for rock climbing. The customer service here was impeccable, all of the necessary resources are available to you, there are plenty of options and if you need a break I like how you can sit for a minute or even play a game of ping pong. My ONLY reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the rearranging of the rocks on the walls. This is the kind of thing that should be done before or after business hours, in my opinion. The noise from the tools almost made us leave when we first arrived (the gentlemans kindness, eagerness to answer our questions, & great customer service convinced us to stay). The other reason that this was an inconvenience would be because part of the climbing was closed off. Just a thought.

Ive been climbing at Origin since I moved here a year ago. Origin is the newest and most state of the art gym in town. The gym management does everything they can to provide to climbers of all levels which includes individuals climbing for their first time all the way to advanced level pros. Climbing includes bouldering, top rope and lead climbing. The gym includes training areas from general fitness such as treadmills, dumbbells, and barbells. The gym also have many tools for climbing-specific training such as hangboards, campus boards, a treadwall, and a climbing woody with challenging routes geared towards making climbers stronger. The staff, management, and local members are very approachable.

Went to this gym because it was raining in Red Rock Canyon. And wow, this gym is *set up.* There are a bewildering number of bouldering problems. The grades are a little soft, but thats not a big deal. I bumped my arm while working on a dyno problem, and the staff obliged me with an ice pack. Their showers are also really nice. It seems like they have a great community too-- lots of events and member benefits. I didnt use the weight room, but it looked clean and well stocked. If I was local, Id totally go to this gym.

This gym was my favorite part about living in the Las Vegas area. I started my climbing here, learning to climb on the autobelays. I initially only joined because of its proximity to Henderson and Boulder City, but I found out that there is so much more to the gym than ease of access. All of the employees were very supportive and gave me great advice on how to begin my climbing activities, buying gear, etc. I met all of the three founders within the first month, theyre always very involved. The community at the gym is so supportive and welcoming. As my climbing skill progressed from 5.6 to 5.10 there were always new routes every week, both in the bouldering sections and the top rope/autobelays. Gym is very clean and is still new enough that it doesnt have that feet smell yet.I moved away from the area, and honestly the thing I miss the most is still this gym and its community.Climb on!
