It seems to me the people currently working there (may of 2021) were simply handed their certificates instead of proving to earn them. I asked for a simple drop fade, even showing them a picture of how the fade is supposed to look like, and a little trim on top because I like my hair length on top to be enough for me to style but that wasn’t the case at all. I told the barber not to go too high on the sides and that’s exactly what they did. The trim on top was a lot shorter than what I had asked for, just a little longer than an inch which is unacceptable. Overall great service just horrible cuts. I also noticed the man who usually works the middle stations asking the woman to the right of him questions about a haircut, I mean if you have a barber certificate/license I would expect you to know what you’re doing. Perhaps this is the last time getting a cut there but it’s a shame since I’ve been going there for the past 4/5 years and the cuts have just recently gotten bad.

Good, quick haircut. Price is a little more than expected but it is a local small business so what the heck. Also carry beard grooming products.

Great place! Fast and friendly! We took our 2 and 1 year old boys for haircuts. They were very professional and knowledgeable. Both boys left with the exact haircut we asked for. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

I’ve gotten my hair cut at The Barber Shop for years. Josh and Don are always friendly, and they know the cut that I prefer. They are usually busy on Saturday morning, so I try to wait until a weekday to stop by. Prices are reasonable.

I have been going to the Barber Shop in Henderson Tx for many years. The staff is always friendly and remember you by name. It’s always a hoot to listen to Don and Josh zing one another over just about anything. Great place. Quality haircuts. Hard to beat this place. Give it a try.

One of the barbers cut my bangs all the way off after I asked him to just shorten and thin it out. I told him what I originally asked for and his reply was we usually just cut the bangs the same length as the top. That tells me he didnt listen to my request, but I let him finish cutting my hair. He at least had the decency to not charge me for the haircut he screwed up. However, as I was leaving he said, next time explain that you want your bangs cut a different length than the top. Its his fault for not listening to my request - I told him I just needed my bangs shortened, not a 5 cut. There definitely wont be a next time. At least he gave it to me for free but still didnt take responsibility for screwing up in the first place.

Great hometown barber. First come, first served...no choosing your barber if more than one person is working. However, youll always get a great cut!

They started yelling at my father for letting an older man go first. They said you had to go in order and they didnt do that sh*t here. They were very rude to my father and the other gentlemen there so they left. Will never go back and wouldnt recommend it to anyone if you want to be treated decently.
