So pleasantly surprised by this place! We drive by all the time and decided to stop by today. Great atmosphere with awesome pools and ambience, drink service in the pools and great food at the restaurant! Perfect for any occasion-family day with kids, dates or anything on between!! 10/10 will be back soon 😇
This place is awesome. You have to become a member(free). Nothing like soaking in warm springs while enjoying local brews. Wine and beer only. Try the Saki bloody Mary, delish.
Great place to chillaxificate! You must join and become a member to use the place. 5 bucks. Not unreasonable. Locker rooms are clean as are the pools. Food is delicious! And we loved the fact that there is service (drinks) while in the hot springs!
Clean friendly and great place to soak and have a drink at the same time. Staff makes the rounds and comes to your location in the pools to see if you need drinks, super friendly. You cannot order food poolside but drinks are brought as fast as you can order!!
Place SERIOUSLY needs one night a week where children are not allowed... Adults only!Is that too much to ask?
Great food, amazing pools! Even better staff! 10/10 no doubt!
Very cool spot to relax and enjoy the different temperatures, going cold to hot, hot to cold is a must try!
A nice way to end a full day of exploring Helena. Restaurant on-site was good. The only downside was the rec pool was closed for maintenance where kids would normally be splashing and playing. Take your own towels and lock for the lockers.
My husband and I were visiting from N.C and visited the hot springs 3 days in a row. The staff were friendly and professional and the bathrooms were clean. The hot and cold pools were amazing! We spent several hours sipping drinks and enjoying the hot water. My only complaint is that some families bring young children and don’t supervise them. We had young children yelling and jumping in the pool next to us while the parents egged them on. Wish there was at least one staff person outside to monitor and intervene if necessary to stop dangerous and obnoxious behavior. We left early twice because of this.
Today was our last visit ever to this establishment. We stopped going to the atrocious restaurant a couple years ago after three back-to-back terrible experiences at their restaurant, but still enjoyed the occasional soak when we had out of town visitors. It was expensive before, but now they require you to purchase a yearly soak membership at ONLY $5 per person. However, this doesnt mean you get discounted soak prices. On top of that, you still have to pay $15/person (INCLUDING YOUNG CHILDREN). So, for five of us (two kids under 6), would be $100. Absolutely not worth a $100 to go sit in a questionably clean pool (variable bet based on previous experiences).
Very relaxing. Enjoyable. Pretty pricey on drinks however.
Enjoyed a crispy chicken salad with a side of sweet potato fries and a mango smoothie on the patio while watching people splash around in the pools. My miniature shepherd/collie mix companion charmed diners by catching wasps. Glad I stopped to refresh myself before journeying back to Missoula on a hot summer day.
We have a legitimate service dog and were kicked out by management for having our service dog in the pool area. Even the sign on the wall permits that. Nothing is mentioned any where online or on signs that the service animal is not allowed to accompany their person into the pool. And upon the staff telling us to remove her her, we did. And then we were kicked out saying we broke their rules when they actually violated our rights under the ADA to have our service dog with us.Obviously the owner is not aware that they have to openly post such covenants or regulations if they do not allow a dog to be in the pool area. However, Regardless of posted rules, local ordinances or municipal health code, the ADA takes priority. It is a violation of the ADA to deny service dogs from accessing a public pool.A complaint with the state, and federal ada have been filed. And every newspaper across Montana will read that you discriminate against people with service animals.Kicking put a family with disabilities and a service animal is Discrimination.
Came in for a lunch before leaving town. Ordered one beer asked for a menu to order food. Bartender never came back to take my order. After sitting 20 minutes i eventually left. I could understand if it was busy but their was just one table of customers. I would not recommend this place if you like service.
If I wrote this yesterday I would have given it 4 stars, however now I am inclined to write a negative review. The front desk staff was very unhelpful, and when we asked to speak to a manager we were told the management is out for a week. If the management is out, they should at least hire competent and friendly front desk staff. The hot spring pools are fine, but the policy that everyone (even an infant) needs to pay the same membership price and full prices, same as an adult, is absurd. This is not a family friendly place if they charge babies the same prices as adults. There is no military discount, or a lesser fee for children. Ive never seen any place that charges full price regardless if someone is a baby. If you go realize every member of your family, even the youngest of children, needs a separate membership and will be charged full price.
Great spot - beautiful soaking pools! They also have a sauna, steam room and cold plunge pools! They have a restaurant and bar as well!
I usually love it. It is by my house. Yesterday however was really bad. The food order disappeared. 40 minutes later she put it in again. Another 30 minutes it did finally come. Food was good. Then I went to the pools, The hot one was only luke warm. The larger pool one was cool.
Largest hot spring Ive been to yet, several huge pools, a hot tub, a cooling tub, the bathrooms are CLEAN and the young woman at the counter last night was delightful. And definitely more reasonable pricing than Bozeman or Chico, especially for a college student ($5 membership and $10 for every entry)
We had such a good time dipping into all the different pools, especially at night time with all the lights on.
What a great place to get away and soak amd socialize with your friends and family. Wish there was a hotel closer to stay for out of town folks .
This place is amazing. There are many different pools for your choice in temperature. Only downfall is that it is very pricy!
The facility was well designed and clean, the staff was pleasant. The water was cold and chlorinated. We were told it was because more cold was being added since its been hot the past few days. I wouldnt have wasted my money if I had known it wasnt a hot spring. $5 each membership fee + $15 each day use. Also had to purchase water, no outside drinks allowed. We could only make ourselves stay about 20 minutes. Disappointing.
(Restaurant) The atmosphere is great friendly and inviting. You can order on your phone or ask the waitress/waiters. You get a lot for the amount you pay. For example you get enough fries for three people. I ordered sweet potatoe fries, quesdilla, and a Sunrise Sangria. I loved all of it. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because of lack military discount.(Hot spring) the water is amazing. I come from Mississippi and we dont have many hot springs at all. I love that there are two sets of hot springs, hot tubs, and cold plunge. The workers do their best to keep each water bed clean. They had one hot tub drained because a kid vomit in it. My buddies and I really enjoyed our time there. We definitely look forward to going back again.(Gym) the gym has a good bit of equipment and space to get a good workout in.Overall this is a place where you could spend half a day on vacation if youre not from Montana, or visit every other weekend if you live in Montana.
Been here a couple of times and I love how they expanded there pools! So much room to spread out, me and my friends had a wonderful time. I highly recommend coming here, very friendly staff and explained the new rules very well. Great way to relax during COVID-19Cant want to come back again
Very clean and they are very attractive to all 7 pools. They treat you like family. I had so much fun and left very relaxed. The kids loved it to thank you guys for making my kids first time to Broadwater hot springs welcoming for them especially my special 8 year old. He didnt have ANY anxiety or episodes 😊 he was totally comfortable and relaxed 😊
Great place. I am a member here and use the gym and the hot springs. It features lots of workout equipment, a wet and dry sauna, the awesome hot springs, a bar and restaurant, and it often features live music on Tuesday and Thursday nights. You can get your beverages to you as you sit in the springs. The only down side is that they need more help/more servers for the poolside service, especially on the nights with live music; it can be awhile before you get your order.
I’ve been to every hot springs from here to there and I’ve never been happier with the Broadwater! The service was spectacular and the water was amazing! Thank you so much for the wonderful service. I will definitely be back again soon!
Clean environment, new pools to soak in, enjoyed the varied soak options. Service was friendly and available while in the upper pools, lower pools would be a great place to open a bar.
Broadwater Hot Springs graciously donated swim passes and a free beverage to every single employee at Rossiter Elementary during Staff Appreciation Week. Wow...our staff was so grateful and appreciative. Thank you Broadwater Hot Springs for taking care of your Helena community. The Rossiter teachers and staff will always remember your kindness and be forever grateful. We highly recommend Broadwater ❤
I love this place! I even used to work here. I have not been out to soak for a while though since Covid became about so I decided last night to go and take my son, who is 3. I understand the membership and the reason behind it and all that, what I don’t understand is the Kid prices. Why am I paying the same amount for my 3 year old to swim and an adult? Who was ready to go home 45 minutes in like I knew he would be. I paid 45 dollars for the both of us, That’s a lot of money for such a short time. Had he not already been excited and I told him we were going I would have turned right around. The new pools are amazing and look great, but I seriously hope you consider renegotiating your kid-toddler prices. Also thank you to your awesome Janitorial staff Kara! My friend was sick and she was so concerned and helpful! She’s the best!!
Broadwater is a relaxing place to go with family and friends. They have good drinks, music, and food with amazing service! I highly recommend going there!
Went here as a late birthday present would not go back. The guy in the bar was rude and acted like I was bothering him. I ordered drinks and some homemade chip at this time he never once told me we couldnt eat out by the pool if I had known I wouldnt have ordered them. Drinks came out to the pool and a very pleasant guy told me that my chips were ready and I had to go in and eat them. At this point I let him know wasnt told about food by the pool and I wouldnt be eating them. Nobody offered to refund me until my friend ordered another drink and he asked me and I explained horrible time wouldnt be coming back then he brought my refund on food I never even saw. I was looking forward to this soak since I am leaving Montana I. 19 days.
Great family experience, hard to bring with kids on the weekend, serve alcohol pool side, but definitely a great time .
Great place. Staff are very friendly, and the entire establishment was very clean and welcoming. Had a great, relaxing first time and am looking forward to the next visit.
The pools are nice everything is clean. I have been there several times and hands down the worst service Ive had anywhere. One time we stopped to eat and after we waited around for over a half hour and the waitstaff never even acknowledge that we were there and there was only 2 or three tables of people, we ended up going back into town to eat. Probably wont go back
Great facility. Hot pool is perfect. Even serve adult beverage. Great sauna.
Sauna, Steamroom, Full Gym, Hot Baths and Cold Plunges. Ohh did I Mention their full bar and food options? Amazing experince, highly recommended. Will certainly return! Shaylee was amazing.
We decided to eat here and soak yesterday evening and we were not impressed. Food we ordered came out wrong with dthe waitress bringing over three meals that werent ours to begin with. Waitress was not wearing a mask at all either which we found odd. As far as the soaking goes the pools themselves were enjoyable but getting a drink is a nightmare. Nobody was running around the pool getting drink orders like normal so I had to go back to the locker room, get a shirt on, go into the restaurant, and wait in line for twenty minutes for two sodas. On a side note they also do not take orders for drinks from the lower pools so if you want to have a drink and soak you have to join EVERYONE else at the top and even then, it takes forever to get a drink.
Nice and clean and alot of pools to choose from!
Great place to unwind throughout the day and into the night.
A really nice hot springs. Clean, new or really updated. Membership required but inexpensive. Outdoor pools, live music and bar service in outdoor pools.
The new pools are awesome. Theres sooooo much room for people to spread out. The water is really hot in the two hot hot pools & the other pools lets u just sit & relax! Its right here at home for me & its not very expensive. Live music most Tuesdays. If you havent came here, its def worth checking out. $15 admission, $5 sign up, one time fee for yr.
We did swimming on a Thursday afternoon in Feb. taking advantage of toddlers swimming free. Nice pool, only the one big pool/hot pool were open by the restaurant. They are building a new indoor pool and another outside pool areas that were not open. Nice dressing room, clean. Wait service at the pool for people who wanted drinks or food. Plenty of room, with a bench all along the edge. An island in the middle my kids loved walking around.
Nice place to soak in a combined indoor/outdoor setting; can be expensive. Pools of varying temputures including cold plunges for the brave. Was not crowded on the weekdays. Maintenance tech shared they were upgrading their chlorine hardware to prevent too much getting in the water (happend in the past). A little pricey, Soak membership: $5 member fee, then $10-$15/person/visit (corrected). Found the staff VERY friendly and helpful. Changing/shower areas very clean. Worth the indulgence.
Very relaxing, the restaurant has great food and appetizers. The customer service is a little slow for the people in the pool sometimes. But they do get busy so it can be forgiveable. I would advise you give it a try.
Very welcoming! The various pools were so pleasant, especially the soaker. Staff were very nice, knowledgeable and professional. Excellent selection of microbrews and a respectable menu. Dine outdoors if you can - the sound inside is miserably high because there are no sound absorbing panels. Really too bad, because the interior is so appealing.
Newest additions to the Springs add lots of new space with hot, moderate, and cold temperatures alike. I love coming here. Its always a good time. The service could be better as you usually have to wait around or go looking for someone to order a drink, but it doesnt take away too much from the experience. All in all a great time.
Great place to be. Worth checking out!
Went to lunch with the kids today! Food was awesome (pizza, burger, and chicken tenders). Great service and great staff!
Amazing food, nice little gem of a place!
The locker room are very disgusting. service in the restaurant was horrible and the food was not cooked well. Definitely not worth the money.
Love the waiter hes so sweet and attentive. Clean nice place Id go here every day if I could
Great place. Been to Helena many times. Just discovered it.
Wife drove there from out of town and they require 5 dollar membership fee. Plus 15 $. Its a lame way to milk money from costumers. I just get annoyed with places that operate like this when you drive to go relax and get jacked around. I recommend White Slupher Hot Springs. Its actually a real hot springs that keep it the montana way. Simple, Nice, and relaxing.
Beautiful place with so many pools. The staff is amazing and so sweet.
Really cool place and food is great 👍
Nice people, very clean and beautifully remodeled. Loved it and i will definitely be returning!
It was the best spot to be after a long family drive.
I would do -5 stars if they had it! Horrible customer service! Outrageous prices! Only thing that was Good is the hot water!
Great for swimming with children!Service at the restaurant was great but the quality of the food was terrible. Definitely wont eat there again.
Pool was warm, clean facilities, knowledgeable staff. My kids had a great time, and it wasnt too crowded either.
Had a decent burger in the bar and a local craft wheat beer.
This place is so nice !Outside and inside pools.GREAT & COVID SAVVY !Disinfectant wipes everywhere. Masks required indoors in changing areas. My only complaint/ more like wish is this - I wish they had postcards with the lithographic images of the old building OR the pictures of old school Broadwater. My great grandparents came here when those buildings were standing and, I wish I could buy a copy of those. I would buy a ton of them and, really hope that this can become a thing in the future !!! Glad to take my mom here yesterday so now she has something fun to do while in Helena as she comes here for work often. Thanks guys ! So thankful for this spot.Let me know when you get postcards in ! I’ll order at least 50 right off the bat !!!
Friday was young teens date night. Saturday was drunk college kid night. But the pools were awesome and very clean.
Hot water and cold rain shower was invigorating and awesome 👌. Attentive staff was great as well.
The food was good and the server was extremely nice. However they no longer operate like a traditional restaurant. Your server takes your drink order and brings a ticket for that but you have to order your meal and pay for that online. Which isn’t awful except it took 45 minutes to get our food. And we were texted that it was ready about 15 minutes before it was brought out.We couldn’t get our appetizer before our entrees even though we requested it on the app and with our server. I asked two different servers for sauce for my fries and never got it, and couldn’t get a refill for my beer at all.I understand COVID has changed things but I feel like there has to be a better solution than this. The online ordering only saved our server one stop by our table to take our orders. Probably won’t go back unless they go back to traditional service.
Love this place. food is great. pools are fun. it was $10 to get in without a membership for my entire high school career. i came home from college this weekend to be charged $20, which was unfortunate. The new pools are amazing and created so much more space! the only downside was my friend, whom i had come with, knelt down in what looked to be a diaper that had sunk to the bottom of the pool. it was a little bit of a let down.
Pools were too cool, pretty expensive. Unfortunately the county put a membership mandate on the hot springs, $5 per person
First off, I love this place, the renovations are beautiful, great variety of temperatures in different pools and extremely relaxing overall, particularly because they serve drinks. The only issue...is the kids. I visited 4 times in Dec 2020 during my visit to Helena and 3/4 times it was overrun with young children EVERYWHERE. I ultimately come to the Broadwater for relaxation and conversation with family/friends. Getting splashed, kicked and swam into definitely detracts from an otherwise great experience. My parents (who live locally) have quit going because of the kid problem which seems to be consistent. While I feel like this isnt the type of place you bring young children, I understand it can hurt business to say no kids however a single 18+ only pool would solve this issue and would ensure I (and my family and friends who all commented on the kids) would keep coming back. Despite this, its still ultimately a great place that I would recommend.
Great atmosphere but expensive and the main pool is hit or miss for water quality.
My husband and I visited today Saturday October 10 2020. Living in Billings MT and driving to Helena for the purpose of going to this hot springs. We paid for a yearly membership which was a separate charge, and paid to get in for the day, we thought. The place is really nice the pools are great. The bar tender was nice and attentive. We spent about 3 hours soaking in the pools and left to go get lunch. When we came back they said we had to pay to get back in. This is disappointing. We frequent other places that let you pay for the whole day. We love to visit hot springs its really one of our favorite things to do together and we might come back however its not going to be very often.
Love this place. Tried to get a membership through website. It doesnt allow you too.
Had a great time! A couple of months ago going back this weekend.
Very Nice Hot Spring. Great food. Little kids running around screaming really disturbed the otherwise chill vibe...need brat police!
Thank you so much for your CANNED response. Given the fact that every pool was very full, I dont believe that anyone was counting the number of people entering or leaving the place today and that the facility was well over the 50% capacity you claim to follow.Very expensive to take a family for an afternoon outing. $15 per person and it doesnt matter what age. Management says it is because of COVID and limited capacity. Today the place was packed so I am sure it was over 50% capacity. You could hardly move around the pools without bumping into someone. The front desk staff is very RUDE and not helpful at all.
Comfortable, affordable, wonderful place. Amazing staff and quick servicing. Futuristic design for all of the pools, and perfect for a bit of privacy.
Had a great time! The pools were not too crowded, but the drinks were spendy!
My first time, I feel it they have a great nitch and feel, all gyms should take notice. A wonderfull family day too.
Great tacos, nice place, inside and out seating, wouldnt order a bloody Mary again. . Little disappointing
This place was awesome. Such a great place to get away to relax. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. The restaurant was reasonably priced and really good. I highly recommend Broadwater Hot springs!!! We loved it!
Not sure how anyone could give this place less than 5 stars. It is inexpensive, fun the staff is wonderful and very attentive and the pools are great. Its also super clean and a great atmosphere
Sign up for membership was an absolute pain, but I totally understand why and am glad this place can still operate during covid. Otherwise, this was the most fun Ive had in Helena. Hands down the best hot springs in Montana, no comparison. My wife, our friends, and I had a blast! Thanks!
Usually is great; make sure to check the temps on their website before making the trek. Pools were cold, and there is no tiered pricing for kiddos. Be prepared to spend extra $$$ for a family soak. Kind of bummed there isn’t an option for that with the soak package.
Helenas only natural geothermal hot springs.Opening line from BWHS website. I was unaware that natural geothermal hot springs bleach out black fabric. The smell of chlorine was so strong in the water, my daughter compared it to the regular swimming pools in town. My black underware under my swimsuit looks like bleach has been spilled on it.The staff is generally friendly, helpful and timely in placing orders. When the staff is asked about the chlorine smell, Ive been told at least 4 different reasons, always followed by we are a natural hotspring.Im not bashing the place. It has a beautiful layout, both upper and lower pools. Generally clean but sometime the water is so murky, you cannot see your feet.
We just visited again since middle pool was remodeled. All I can say is WOW ! We loved soaker pool & was able to have almost 2 hours by ourselves being there Thursday morning. Cant wait for next days off to return. Well worth drive from Great Falls MT.
Totally get the membership fee... its mandatory. What I dont understand is why it costs $15 for CHILDREN and BABIES. THAT isnt mandatory. 1 Year ago it was free for toddlers to swim. Why the astronomical raise for a toddler who is going to mostly sit in my arms because they cant swim? I wasnt told until AFTER I had signed up for the membership (have to do it online cant do it there at the desk) that I had to pay per child (barely 2 and almost 1). Seems like you dont want it to be a family friendly place and are trying to make sure children dont show up. I miss the old broadwater.
Pools are great. Food way over priced
Amazing food with Gluten-free options, lots of pools and temperatures, excellent lockers, sauna, and so much more!
Drinks by the springs! Sauna and steam room! Everything you need to relax
Great time good great service will recommend to everyone
More of a hot pool then a hot spring, still a great place to visit. Membership fee is 15 dollars then every visit for the year is 5 dollars. Definitely worth a visit.
As an out of towner from So Cal I loved it.
Awesome as always! Definitely worth a visit, or 500 visits!
Not a bad place and pool side beer service. Only issue is they closed a pool which crowded the other ones.
