I wasn’t in any pain, just needed to be seen and get back into a dental routine after a year and a half Covid 19 break. I was scheduled much quicker than I expected, appointment the next day. My appointment was for 2 PM, but asked to be there 15 minutes early. I was actually 30 minutes early. Everyone was very friendly. I had about 1.5 hour wait past my appointment time. It seemed like they were just trying to fit me in somewhere. I didn’t complain as I had nothing pressing, but I hope long waits in the waiting room isn’t the norm. Otherwise I was pleased.

Aspen dental is all about money. They give you services not needed just to make money. Do yourself a favor and find a small family dentist, you will get better care. I will never be back to Aspen dental after my last visit.

Had a infected tooth and was in severe pain. Unfortunately my dental insurance did not go into affect for several days but pain was unbearable. I seen online they did a free exam and xray. I was more then willing to pay out of pocket if tooth extraction was needed (online rate was around 170 I believe. I arrive there and instead of fixing the tooth that was infected I received a paper of 12,000 dollars of unnecessary work they feel needed to be done. When I asked about the tooth that had been bothering me they said I can have it pulled but their surgeon only comes once a month and I would not be able to have it pulled for another 3 and half weeks. And the charge would be 350( not what is posted online) When asked about the pain in meantime was told I dont need anything. Not even a antibiotic. I drove 45 minutes to go here because of prices they advertise online. Immediately after going there I called another dentist. Got a appointment that day and yes I had to paid for the visit. The dentist I went to on same day Immediately after going here prescribed me a antibiotic and something minor for pain. A extraction is scheduled for after infection clears up. This place was a waste of gas money and time. They did absolutely nothing for a infected tooth and sent me on my way. The rated they advertise online are not accurate or its one of those read the small print type of things. Staff was friendly just disappointed they did not resolve my issue and were more concerned about procedures and money they can make off of me in the future.

On a Saturday my denture cracked bad. On Monday, when the office was open, I called. The receptionist was incredibly understanding and kind and we decided coming in Tuesday morning would be best because first the specialist had to determine IF a repair was possible, then Id have to leave it for 3 hours. After another nervous night (who want to buy a new denture?) I traveled up the interstate and my day became amazing! Beautifully repaired in just over 3 hours!I really want the team at the Hazelton Aspen office to know that they were Rockstars in my world yesterday!Thankyouthankyou 😁

I called on a Friday after 2 pm and they originally set up An appointment for Tuesday but then called me back not even five minutes later and said the office manager said I could come in now since I was in so much pain . I went in, was called within 10 minutes of arriving and was taken right back for X-rays, the office manager Ryan was so attentive as well as the doctor and other staff members, while the doctor was working on Ryan actually held my hand because I was so nervous and upset . They were all amazing and I would definitely recommend them moving forward ! Ryan was so nice and sweet and just the very best . I wish I remembered the doctors name because he was great too !

I loooove this dentist office. especially the customer service. everyone here is so nice. especially zaya at the front desk. she’s the sweetest, i love her soul. but i recently had my wisdom teeth removed here & the experience wasn’t so bad like everyone says it is. the doctors did everything right & they love their patients. this my fav dentist outta all my other experiences for a fact.

I had an appointment for a check-up at 11am. I showed up at 1045am, completed my documents and was not seen until 11:45am. The front-desk lady was very nice and friendly and seemed concerned for me once the wait extended until 1130am. I was annoyed with the hour long wait however, once they got me in the back they did move quickly. IT was probably because they knew I waited for so long. They seem like a good place but as it being my first time going there and having to wait for so long it put a bad taste in my mouth about being a patron moving forward. We will see.

I had to get all of my upper teeth extracted and then a full upper plate. I was happy with my teeth when I finally got them, but I had to go back several times to get them right. I bought the comfy lites the most expensive ones and I keep having a problem with my teeth popping off. This is ridiculous to say the least. They made another set saying that it was the way the old tech made them but even with my new set they’re still popping off. Needless to say that I’m not happy with this whole experience!!! The staff is very friendly. I think your materials are not the best quality if this keeps happening. How does the money back guarantee work???

Avoid this place. I was having pain in one of my teeth and a couple were slightly loose so I called them and made an appointment was told they take my insurance. One day before my appointment they called to confirm my appointment and told me they dont take my insurance so I said Id still like to come in for the free exam and xrays because I was thinking if I have to Ill pay cash. They then told me if I come in that there would be an $80 charge. Seems strange to me so I searched online reviews and found out they have a one star rating on consumer affairs dot com with hundreds of bad reviews for everything from overcharging, charging for work they didnt do, to making peoples teeth worse than they were. Avoid this place they are out to rip people off.

I’m not someone who minds waiting, but when I made my appointment I made sure it would be quick since I had work shortly after. However, I sat in the waiting room for over and hour before I had to leave without my appointment because I have work. They’re horrible here and I’ll never go back

Zero stars wait so long to get in. Then you sit in the chair for 30 mins before someone comes in then they say the appointment has taken to long so you have to come back. You make appointment, then they call you next day and say, oh sorry we have to change it 6 more weeks out. Also if you watch the mechanics of the office you will understand why they charge so much. I almost forgot. They say its free initial appointment with xrays however, if you have insurance it gets billed and it goes against your yearly dental allowance.You always get a different dentist and if you hear the word we gotta cap that dont be surprised.

I waited over a hour to be seen then they took every x ray they could I waited 30 min and then the dr came in looked in my mouth and said you need all this work done i told him about the abscessed tooth I have and at the end no meds no plan to fix it just a consultation to have all this work done almost 10,000 dollars work and im still in pain now I need to go to see a real dentist to get this abscessed tooth fixed . waste of my time... I would never return to that location.

Ive used them before and had excellent service. This time was horrible. Its was a different dentist. She had me in the chair for 2 hours and did absolutely nothing. 2 hours of pain. After 2 hours of trying to get me to pay thousands of dollars for work when I needed a tooth pulled. After hearing that I had no money, only enough for an extraction she never came back. 2 hours to have a guy tell me that she cant pull the tooth. That I need an oral surgeon to pull it. She could have told me that in 10 minutes. Completely unprofessional. Then tell me that the surgeon wont be there for 3 weeks!! Who can wait in pain for 3 weeks? Then asks for the money for the surgeon up front!! Hell no. Who pays up front? Refused to schedule me for the surgeon over the phone even though I had been seen by them unless they had money. Not to mention being left on hold for 8 minutes.

Very friendly staff. They actually remember me by name even though Ive only been going there for about a year now. I have a jacked up grill, so Ive gotten a lot done by them in a short amount of time. They are very good and professional. No complaints yet and I love complaining

I had gone here twice before and had awful experiences. In July 2020 I tried again because of insurance reasons. I was told of a new dentist and staff there. They were fantastic! Dr. Lutz, Melissa and the rest of the staff did everything they could to help. Recently Dr. Lutz left and now Dr. Mengal (not sure about spelling) is there and he’s just as amazing. No real wait time. Melissa helped me with my insurance, Jahavhi(again, spelling) and the new assistant I had today are very informative with any questions. I had a lot of work done and still some to do. I was frustrated with my insurance but the staff is such a big help. I will not go anywhere else. Thank you all so much!

I’ve been going here for about one/one and half years. The first couple visits were fine. Within the past month I have had 4 appointments now. The first two being canceled up to a day before and today went in for my rescheduled 3rd appointment and they claimed they had called to cancel (which they did not). I am on appointment 4 now. I think the way they handled this is very unprofessional on their behalf.

This was my first time going to the Hazleton location. I will never be going back. The women that took my xrays and took me back for my visit was so cold and unwelcoming, she didnt talk to me at all except for her directions. I was there for almost 2 hours and saw an actual person for nit even 5 mins. The man for financials was very nice and explained everything but I just didnt feel comfortable in there at all. It felt like they booked way to many appointments and noone could give you the time of day. Hated it.

Terrible service, rude staff, most of them without masks, if you call 3 times trying to schedule an appointment, they give you 3 different estimates for the same procedure, they dont accept payments through the phone (you have to travel an hour to make a payment a week before, come on!), told you that you dont have any appointment even when the day before they said you have the spot. Nobody knows nothing regarding coverage, appointment etc. They look like they dont like their jobs, specifically the one that takes the X rays, the dentist too (women), just spent like 5 min after 1hr of waiting and dont even let me ask a question. The girls that answer the phone (one is sarcastic and the another one is rude and never give you the right information), the only person that have customer service skills is the guy that check you out. This used to be a good place in 2016, I decided to go back and it was a terrible experience. After failure calls, I Found another provider that work with my insurance and it was a difference from sky to earth in price, service and health protocols.

I hated the dentist! I dreaded going.. rescheduled appointments and finally stopped going all together. I didn’t go for 6 years until I had a horrible tooth pain. I called aspen dental in Hazleton and the next day they got me in. The doctor there is amazing! He’s very upfront and honest with a refreshing personality. Everyone in the office is so nice and so helpful. They took care of my pain and set up a plan to take care of my dental issues. They really make you feel like you’re on the same team and want to make sure you’re comfortable the entire time you’re there. I truly do not mind going to the dentist anymore and I never miss an appointment. They’re are just absolutely wonderful in all aspects!

It was hours long. Disorganized front desk, but pleasant. Nothing is as it seems here. I’m still confused as to why I need a loan for this work

I just switched to this dentist and was pleasantly surprised by my visit. After reading some negative reviews, I was nervous and second guessing this decision. Everyone is friendly and professional. The hygienist was very gentle and left my teeth feeling clean and me feeling happy. Please ignore the bad reviews and give them a try for yourself. I’m glad I did.

Update: I called the number listed below to come up with a resolution. I expressed my concerns to them and was told they would call me back.Two weeks later I called that number again asking for a follow-up since no one reached back out to me. Their solution was to provide a 25% discount off my next cleaning and completely dismissed the fact their staff informed me they would perform a cleaning that same day (when I had insurance) as well as the fact I lost an entire days wage due to this. Even though the regional manager admitted the calls were recorded, she conveniently didnt have the time to go back and review them. I was told by the regional manager to either accept the 25% off or go someplace else. Due to this significantly delay in response, the insurance from my previous job has lapsed and my new job does not offer dental. I 100% do not recommend wasting your time coming here. They have zero respect for their patients time.I wouldnt recommend them. The only positive for this place, the staff was friendly. I made an appointment online stating I needed a cleaning and filled out the paperwork. Dont waste your time doing that, staff will still call you for the information you submitted online. Annoying, but fine. I received 3 or 4 phone calls asking about my insurance. I gave them the information each time over the phone. I told them I just really wanted a cleaning; my normal dentist was backed up until the end of November. I was due for a cleaning at the end of February but that was cancelled due to COVID. I told each one of the representatives on the phone I just wanted a cleaning but they said they had to take xrays and see the dentist. Fine. Only one of them said that a cleaning might not happen the same day. I told her to cancel my appointment if they cant do the cleaning because I started a new job and cant afford to lose two days a pay just for a cleaning. I get there and it takes over an hour for the xrays, see the dentist, and the hygienist. However, the hygienist was double booked and didnt have time to clean my teeth. she just looked at them and told me they needed to be cleaned (which is exactly why I made the appointment...). I lost a whole days pay and pay for copays for services I didnt want but was told I needed to do if I wanted my teeth cleaned per their internal policy. SO unless you have a flexible job or have the luxury to afford missing two days of work for a simple cleaning, avoid this place. They will lie to get you in the door; they dont care about your time as long as they get their money.

Best dentists in town! I have been to alot, and I have to say they always are polite and get the job done. I was in pain, they got me in sameday and pulled my tooth. I was in no pain at all! I would highly recommend the dentists that work here.

Aspen dental is my preferred dentist. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. I would recommend giving them a try. The pricing can be a little bit more money, but they have many different ways you could pay.

Employees are very friendly but Aspen is NOT affordable. I have good dental insurance but was quoted an insane amount for wisdome teeth extractions. My only option given to pay was half to schedule the appointment and half after the appointment. I will not be going there for my wisdom teeth extractions.

The people at this location are super friendly and helpful. I felt at ease, comfortable, and informed at all times. They worked with my budget giving me a discount free visit for the first appointment since I couldn’t use my Medicaid. All the way from booking the first appointment on the phone to talking to the front desk person and all the people beyond that desk. Everyone was very professional! Im very pleased with my first visit.

My wife and made an appointment for me and asked them if they take our insurance and they said YES! I left work 3 hours early to drive an hour to get there then they tell me we dont take your insurance. I was not very happy!!

Aspen was great! I had gone to another dentist who did not fix an issue but made my tooth look horrible. Aspen was able to get me in same day and did more then expected. They not only fixed the other dentist mistake but went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and able to leave with a smile.

Booked an appointment on very short notice to repair my denture. I was tra deferred to this Aspen as they were the only one that could see me.Aspen went beyond to find my appointment and when I arrived on a Friday afternoon I was treated very cordially and after a short time was seen. I was told what I would be charged and told how long it would take. My denture was ready before time and looked great.Aspen, my second time with them, is a wonderful, friendly and very professional organization. I recommend them to all.

My 85 year old father went to the Hazleton location to have a tooth extracted. After waiting two hours, they pulled the tooth. When he arrived home, he discovered that the dentist pulled the wrong tooth. He called Melissa the office manager and she was more than happy to make him another appointment and charge him to extract the correct tooth. I reached out to their corporate office and was told an employee from patient care would call me. I didn’t hear back, so I called them again and they referred me back to Melissa who again refused to correct their mistake free of charge.

They seemed nice, but I feel misled by them. I specifically asked for Saturday appointments because of my work. I was seen on a Saturday for my initial appointment where they do xrays and check up and give you an estimate, but when I wanted to come in for my cleaning I was informed that they do not do cleanings on Saturdays. So now Im in same spot as before I have to take off work to get my cleaning at this dentist. Why didnt anyone say that before I went there and I asked if they do Saturdays appointments. Im going keep looking for right dentist that can take care of me on my day off.

So this was my first time using this office. I was very disappointed to say the least. I went there under the assumption that I was getting a cleaning as that was what I booked. After waiting for an hour, Im finally brought back and they do a quick x-ray and check my teeth. After this they have me come back to the front to schedule an actual cleaning. Ive never gone to an office and had to schedule 2 different appointments. They were perfectly nice about it, but I just find it ridiculous that they cant do everything in one shot. The office wasnt the nicest looking either. You would think being such a big chain that they would make sure to keep things looking nice. The chair patients sit in was ratty and frayed, there were scratches and dents on the wall, and the drawer that they keep the metal molds that they put in your mouth was pretty dirty as well. The office people were very nice, but overall experience was not.

No fan of going to the dentist, and have had a lot of dental work done. The Hazleton office is excellent. They have compassion, are friendly and down to earth, and if you have a problem, they do address it right away. Scheduling was easy and reminders are sent. They are busy and sometimes do take a while, but when it’s your turn, you’re in the spotlight.

Had pain entire right side of face, Dr. Lutz quickly diagnosed issue upon close review of the excellent xrays taken by the friendly tech. When all was said and done! my pain was resolved, teeth perfectly cleaned, crown repaired, felt like a new person as I was leaving, and the cost very reasonable for the work performed. Will definitely become a steady patient at this Aspen facility! Very friendly staff.

I am one of those people who have a fear of dentists and therefore havent been to see one in many years. I finally got to the point where I couldnt stand my tooth pain any longer so I made an appointment with Aspen Dental in Hazleton Pa...they treated me with respect and kindness. If my last experience with a dentist would have been as pleasant as mine was with Aspen Dental, I wouldnt have suffered in fear for so long. Thank you Aspen Dental!

Horrible! A tooth that has cost way too much money to rebuild 3 times has shattered again! A jagged shell left in mouth and I am told sorry! Come in next week and well see what we can do! Stay away, go anywhere else!

Showed up for an 8am appointment that I had to wait over a month to get because I was having pain and sensitivity. The got me in at 8:20 (why the wait?) and the dentist finally came to check me. She said a cavity was starting and said they will arrange to take care of it. I sat another half hours thinking they would take care of it now but no. They take me to the desk to schedule another appointment. Why wait? What bothered me is the girl said they can put me in later today! What?? Im already there and waiting so long. Cost isnt not accomodating. Id be better off with no insurance apparently. I am not returning because my time isnt valued.

Everyone was very helpful & pleasant. The exam and follow up was discussed in detail, with options and alternatives offered, noting the pros and cons. Financing options could be better, though. All in all, I will probably utilize the services as soon as I can afford to do so.

Dr. Lutz is very caring and compassionate. He is a wonderful dentist. The staff are also amazing. I am someone who truly fears going to the dentist, but everyone at the office is so welcoming and calming. I am very glad that I am having my dental problems taken care of at Aspen Dental in Hazleton, PA.

All they care about is money. They waste your time, mess up appointments. Would never recommend. Place is horrible! Tech laughed at my X-ray cause I needed a root canal and fillings made so feel very uncomfortable. Paid for services up front and never had them done. Then they charged my insurance on top of me having already paid in full, never saw a penny back of my money. Awful, just awful

Its been 7 years since Ive been to the Dentist and this staff couldnt have made me feel any better than I expected especially with the load of dental work I was to expect. The x rays (18 of them) was quick and painless. The staff was attentive and caring to my treatments. The doctor did excellent worn on my teeth. The assistants kept me relaxed while the doctor worked and to conclude on a tiring barrage of appointments the front desk was very helpful with the explanations of my treatments and payment options. Great and very satisfying dental appointments.

DO NOT GO HERE!! We had an awful experience. My husband admittedly has not been to a dentist in over 5 years. We came to Aspen Dental not only to get him caught up on his cleanings, but also to address a bad tooth that has been hurting him for some time. After waiting in the waiting room for 45 minutes past his scheduled appointment time my husband was finally taken to the back. They took his X-rays and poked and prodded and came back to us with a $2,000 estimate for a deep cleaning. They didnt even want to talk to him about the tooth which was the real reason that he went in the first place. When I later called to find out what a deep cleaning could possibly entail that would come to $2,000, I was told about a wonderful $130.00 toothbrush that we would receive and that she would have to check with the doctor to get more specific details of the work that would need to be completed. At that point, I told the receptionist to not waste her time on that task as we would not be coming back!! What a bunch of rip-off artists! I wish I could give negative stars!

Doctors and their assistance are nice.but, not billing department, they like to charge for all of the services first then you get all of the services in 6 month. Then when you realize that they charge more they will say that they give you the call back regarding no answer once they got all of the money.I and my wife never going to go back.

Went to the Hazleton office after a years long run with a sub-par dentist. I cannot begin to express how satisfied I was from the moment I walked through the door. I was a walk-in with a broken smile-line tooth. Everyone....and I mean everyone showed stellar professionalism and friendliness beyond my expectations. The women at the front desk, the x-ray tech, the dental hygienist, the billing woman, the woman who took my impressions, the on-site lab guy, the assistant present in the room during my wax impression, and the Dentist, Dr. Lutz could not have been more accommodating. They pushed for the wax impression to be completed to avoid me waiting another day....and it was at the very end of their day. I am so happy for Aspen Dental. It is Monday and I will be receiving my partial on Wednesday morning. They all deserve some kind of bonus. Aspen is lucky to have this staff representing their name!

I went in with a broken tooth and no dentist. I have had the same dentist for 40 years and he retired so all this was very new to me. The staff and dentist were extremely professional, and kept me calm with thier happy attitudes and friendliness. I had a thorough exam by the hygienist, the dentist, and had x-rays. After that they gave suggestions to everything that can make my smile better. No one ever suggested anything like this before, they fixed it all. I was thrilled! After years with missing teeth here and there, they suggested a partial and I just finished the one side. I am extremely happy! And can smile without hesitation! What was even better, was the fact that I dont have insurance, and they made it easy with financing, and small payments monthly!

So far so good. Im shaking in fear because of anxiety but the nurses are very reassuring and are doing their best to help me relax. About to get 2 teeth pulled in a few. Wish me luck 😣
