This company does terriable work charged me 600$ to fixed brakes on 2 cars had to replace rotor pads and caliper on one car other car no brakes ran into my garage door. Tightened lugs to tight will never go there agian. Be careful people go somewhere else

My experience was terrible. After my car broke down in April, I took it to Western Auto. It took them 13 days to fix the timing chain and fuel module. It cost $2,500 dollars. Two days after they did the repairs, I could not drive up inclines, on freeway or even on low level ground without having stalling problems. Prior to breaking down, the car didnt stall out. In the morning, I have to start it 2 to 4 times. I have taken it back numerous times, and Fred the owner mechanic will not fix it. He claims he cant do anymore to fix it. Over the past 8 months, he has made $7,000 on the car repairs and it should be running like a charm. I dont recommend Western Auto to anyone.

Wow! I’ve never had a mechanic that actually told me the truth and no run around the bush. Told me exactly what was wrong. Showed me the price for the part and told me how much labor would be. This isn’t a job that anybody off the street can do. You need top shelf tools along with educated people who not only know what their doing but also know how to take care of the customer and work with them and even offer payment methods! Ask for Fred! He is amazing!! A very honest and truthful man. He works with his son which is rare! Family shop with family workers that love what they do! Amazing duo! You won’t get ripped off and if they can’t do a job they know someone who will! No run around here! It’s worth the 30 mile drive for me! Will not go anywhere else! My car wasn’t starting so I came in and talked to a nice man named Eddie. He explained everything thoroughly to me and kept me updated throughout the entire duration of him working on my car. Eddie definitely knew what he was talking about. I, personally don’t know a lot about cars but he explained it to me in a way so could surely understand which was greatly appreciated. Got me in very quickly on a Saturday. The customer service was top notch. The mechanics found the issue being a much cheaper fix than I was expecting. They fixed the problem and charged next to nothing. I highly recommend anyone looking for an honest mechanic to come here. I will be back for more work in the future

I took my vehicle to this establishment for a diagnostic check. Unfortunately, the information I was given regarding Its status turned out to be incorrect and I had to take it to another repair facility who diagnosed the problem and repair it. Normally I dont post negative reviews for poor service, however if this will keep someone from paying for misinformation and possibly poor quality work, its Worth the time. TAKE YOUR VEHICLE ELSEWHERE!!!Update: On one point I will agree with this individual, my vehicle should only be serviced by individuals such as the ones I eventually had to take it to!

These Guys are top notch. I like my old mechanic but he is a little covered up and needed work done quick. I found these guys with reviews and decided to give them a try.I always research how much things cost before I go in and try to self diagnose the problem so I know what Im talking about and how much I can expect to pay. Eddie took me and showed me the various parts of the car and showed me how things worked (which was awesome) so I could see everything he was doing. When he finished the work he even let me see the bottom of the car of what he had done. It was very cool. They are professional and VERY REASONABLY priced.I will Go back!

Fixed suspension very quickly in and out.

I had visit the shop 2 weeks prior to actually getting my car service, a friend referred me. I spoke with Eddy and had plan to drop my car off that following Monday. Things happened and I wasnt able to get it there. Finally was able to drop it off, work right down the street. I got a call about 2 hours from him explaining what was wrong and can he fix it, he told me yes I can have it ready by the end of your work day. I was like whats the damage $$, he told me, I had a conversation with a male friend and he said that was cool, he repaired my car and I was on my way at 5pm. Its been a few weeks and still riding smooth and there is a year warranty.

Deflated Tire Light was on dash, Eddy filled all tires at 40 in order to determine which tire it was w/in 2 weeks Tire Light was on, 1 tire @20 and inspected rim and found nail in tire and plugged it. Im new to the area and I believe I found my New Mechanics.

Short version: the next time anything goes wrong with my car, this is the only place I will ever take it to be fixed. These gentlemen are not only personable, they are honest and know what the heck they’re doing. Do yourself (and your vehicle) a favor by choosing Western Auto to get the job done.Long version: Last summer my car started making a strange noise, a kind of deep scratchy hum. Took it to some shop on the east side recommended by a family member... only to get it back several days later with no noticeable difference. They said they couldn’t hear anything, but of course were able to find a few hundred bucks worth of other things to fix. Drove around a few people in my car to see if they could hear the sound, but apparently my ears were broken because I’m the only one who noticed it. I accepted that I was just being paranoid, decided to ignore the sound, and continued on with my life.Fast forward to a few weeks ago: a brand new troubling sound began to emit from somewhere beneath my car. After saving up some cash to get it looked at, I decided to give Western Auto Service a shot. Only had to wait a few minutes in the office before being greeted by a young mechanic named Eddie, who I then explained the new sound to. I asked to go with him on the test drive so I could point it out. He immediately detected the new sound and knew what was causing it. And then, as he’s slowly coasting along with his ear to the open window - eyes slightly squinted, like we all do when trying to hear a quiet sound better - and he says, “Do you hear that? That other sound - a kind of low hum?” I’m pretty sure he explained to me what it was, but I was too busy thanking him for proving that I hadn’t been having auditory hallucinations all this time.We got back to the shop where Eddie put my car on the lift to continue his investigation, and the issues were exactly what he had suspected. He let me know that the part needed to fix the low hum would be harder to locate for my particular vehicle, but he could have the other issue causing the new sound fixed by later that evening. After I agreed to the price estimate for letting him proceed with the repair, he got right on the phone to hunt down the proper replacement parts and I was on my way.I didn’t hear back later that night, but I was hoping this meant there was a development in fixing the old sound. Got a call the following morning (today). Eddie said he fixed new sound and I could come pick up the car, but the replacement part needed to fix the old sound did arrive. He didn’t want to begin that repair since it wasn’t included in his initial estimate, as he wasn’t sure when the part would come in. He explained that it wasn’t pertinent to do the additional repair today, but it would need to be done eventually. “I’ve still got your car on the lift, so if you wanted me to take care of that today it would cost ($X). I can give you a break on the price since you’ve been so patient. But if you need to wait until you’re able to save up some more money to get that fixed, it’ll be okay to keep driving it for a little while longer.” Fortunately I had saved up enough money to be able to afford getting that other part replaced as well.Within a couple hours, I received a call from Eddie letting me know that both of those sounds were officially gone. He even offered to turn the engine on so the car would be warm by the time I arrived, which was extremely thoughtful - it’s chilly out and I was going to be walking there. When I walked in, I was greeted by another gentleman who turned out to be Eddie’s father - an equally pleasant human being to interact with. While paying for the services, Eddie showed me the mangled up parts he replaced that had been causing such a ruckus, and I am so glad I could let him do all the repairs in one shot. I am happy to announce that all the crunchy sounds are actually silent, and my car is driving so much smoother now!

My tire pressure light was on, they replaced the valve stem, yet every 3 to 6 weeks my tire pressure light continues to come on. They didn’t fix a thing, even went back to them after they replaced the valve and told him my light came on, they didn’t even look at it and told me it was fine. Seems like since ownership change, this place has gone downhill

Saw the reviews for the previous owner Tariq (which were excellent). But when I got there it had changed hands to a father and son, Fred & Ed. Let me tell you these guys live up to Tarigs high standards of operation!!! I had to have my front wheel bearings replaced. They did an exceptional job, and the price was very reasonable. These are my go to guys from now on! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! .......tell them Brian sent you ;>)

This place is a joke, there is nothing posted with your rights as a customer and they charge for an estimate, and don’t tell you that they charge for it. I would recommend if you are planning on taking your vehicle there, please think twice.

Came in to look at a used car which appeared to be in good condition. When I got a Carfax, I discovered the mileage had been rolled back 100,000 miles!!! The owner denied knowledge of the rollback, but it occured while the car was in their possession. The owner then tried to reassure me that the actual mileage didnt matter if the car was in good condition, which is absolutely untrue, especially for the price they were asking, which they said was non-negotiable. Really disappointed in the dishonesty. If you must look at a car here, definitely pay the extra for a Carfax because the paperwork they provide for free is extremely minimal and enables them to take advantage of potential customers.
