My boyfriend and I have used this garage repeatedly for multiple vehicles. Every time it was out of convenience in an immediate need situation, as it was located close to home. Every time, the owner told us to come down right away. Prices have always been fair, service has always been good. The work is done in a timely manner and never any hidden costs. Highly recommend.

The most unprofessional mechanic I’ve ever had to work with. For a shop that advertises to know how to work on foreign cars, lacks proper equipment to actually diagnose the problem with my BMW. What ever the main guy’s name is, he was awful and the most unprofessional mechanic I’ve ever met. This man looked like he’s never worked on a BMW before. I brought my car and told the mechanic I have codes for the problem and they read crack shaft sensor error. So I told the man that’s the problem, but he refused to listen to me or even look at the codes my computer brought up. Told me “I’ll let you know” fast forward 12 days later and 2 missed calls from me wondering what’s up with my car. I get told a guy from BMW is coming on Monday because Val’s Auto doesn’t have the proper computer to connect to my car, Monday arrives I get no call. Tuesday I call the shop and finally the man answers and I ask him what’s the deal he tells me the guy is coming today, I ask when and the mechanic doesn’t even know what time, talk about unprofessional. This mechanic avoided my calls, left me in the dust, and held my car for damn near 2 weeks and figured out NOTHING. I ended up taking my car to Checo Auto in Lawrence and got my car fixed in 2 days and the exact diagnosis was the crankshaft sensor like said.

I want to extend a Thank You and a true appreciation for the work done on my car. In diagnosing and repairing my 2005 M-B C240, the staff at Vals Foreign Auto Repairs were extremely fair and honest throughout the process. They explained the work that needed to be done and work that will need to be completed in the future. Theyve won a customer!!!

On 2 occasions i brought my 2008 mercedes e350.#1-electric seat switch and heating system also electric issue, fixed fast and no issues with what they charged would of been $200 more at dealer.#2-engine serpentine pully and belt. oil change and 4 tires rotation and balance(had to send out to 3rd party for tires) still done in one day and $285 less then dealer.I have no complaints, need to bring my car in for a oil leak and was checking online for there hours and noticed the reviews and needed to speak up about great service.

Vals Auto repair is a hidden treasure in the Haverhill area. I had a problem with my 2001 Lexus running rough and the breaks not working well. It seemed like the problem only occurred occasionally so it would be hard for them to find the problem. However, they were able to find it and now the cars runs great. Thank you.

Got what I was promised, no attempts at conning me into buying more and I felt like I was being treated both fairly and honestly. I am not the easiest to please as trust is not gained easily, although in this instance I felt comfortable immediately.

Job done when promised. Charged slightly more than original quote. Still much cheaper than bringing car to the dealership.

Lucky to get 1 star, dont know what I just paid for, $260 for a few small jobs and the most important item to check for oil leaks before my warrantee ran out, 6 days later I removed the belly pan to change the oil and it and the bottom of the engine is soaked with oil, don,t think they even pulled the pan to check for leaks, now im out hundreds maybe thousands in warrantee work that I have to pay for, thanx for nothing, find someone else.

Tried Vals for the first time since I moved to Haverhill and are walking distance from my home, not impressed. Vals did fixed my main problem but they didnt seem customer friendly. When i called they didnt seem friendly over the phone or really any concern for my problems. I dropped off my car on a Friday night so they could get a early start on it. They said they might not have the parts in by Sat, I said that ok for worst case because I had Monday off of work and I was around. Saturday came and they called and told me what the problems were early and I said ok, lets do it. They never called me back to let me know they were keeping my car or any updated news. Not even to say hey we wont be able to have your car done today. Nothing. I call back a little before they were to close on Sat and they were gone. No one picked up the phone. I was like wtf??? I think its just common courtesy to let customers know they will be carless until Monday. My fault saying I had Monday off but how is it a lot of car places usually get parts same day. I also mentioned there was also a noise coming from my back drivers side. They said it was my bars and links but the noise is still there today and I feel like I paid an extra $200+ for nothing. Did they even test drive it??? All and all I probably wont go back for something major even when they are walking distance from my home. I felt bad calling them back and a customer shouldnt have to track down their service and be afraid to call cause they are not friendly. I really wanted to like my first experience.

Very disappointed. Brought my car in for an electronic problem. They charged almost $100 without my knowledge and were unable to fix it. Told me to take it to a dealer. Wont be going back.
