Great view of the Mississippi. Meal took 40 minutes to arrive but they were very busy so I understand that. The fish sandwich and fries was todays special. Honestly, it was the WORST fish Ive ever eaten! Way overdone, crust almost had to be cut with a knife, and there was very little fish inside. The fish had absolutely no taste. I may go back to the restaurant but NEVER again will I order their fish!

Had a reservation for a Saturday night so no waiting. Waitress was quick, helpful, and pleasant. 3 of us and tried chicken, fish tacos, and strawberry salad. All were happy with our food. View was outstanding as we sat on patio at sunset. Love to go back.

I have to say we received excellent service today from Tiana. She was great at checking in and making sure we had what we needed while we waited for breakfast. Keeps crushing it Tiana!

American Legion Post 47 in Hastings is a pretty nice place to go and have a drink with family and friends. Staff is friendly and service is pretty good. I like to go there because its situated on Mississippi River with a beautiful relaxing view. They have a nice patio to sit and enjoy the outdoors. During the summer months, on Sunday afternoon they would have music on the patio by local artists which made it very enjoyable and relaxing. Their food is good with a good selection.

I am grateful they had the Bird Dogs play! Nice facility. Like many places right now, they are very short on help. The staff did the very best they could being shorthanded. Thank you so much!

Usually enjoy going to the legion and their food is awesome. Tried going in there today, with my emotional support dog. Mind you I have the paper work for him and have him registered. Ive brought him in there before and everything was fine. They were very nice about him being in there, but today whoever the bartender was kicked us out because we had him. Legally that is not okay considering I have paper work for him. We also told him this and he still kicked us out. I understand that places have their rules but he did was overly rude about it and did not have to be that way towards us at all. For this reason I will not be returning there. Definitely lost my business.

I recently went to the Hastings Legion as a stop on my bachelorette bus. It was amazing! The staff were extremely friendly, fun and attentive. My water was never low and the appetizers were great. They were welcoming to my large group and we had a great time.

They used to have a decent menu.. now they changed it. its not only small but stupid. we were all set to spend some money there but once we saw the NEW STUPID menu we left. I dont know who authorized the Change but I think you needto rethink your position or at the very least your career vice, you obviously dont know how to run a restaurant. we will come in for a drink because the place is nice to look at, but your menu is a joke

Everyone is really friendly and polite here. Great patio view. Has umbrellas and you can see everything . also perfect pricing. Great breakfast. All the seniors in the morning are nice and polite as well. Why go to Perkins when its better here.

They were very busy but still friendly. They told us what they were out of and how long wed have to wait for food. I appreciate them telling us. We stayed and enjoyed waiting for good food. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful day.

Poor service from server. Didnt ask us if we wanted food and I had to walk up and get my our drinks from the bar as they had been sitting there for an extended period of time. ONE bar tender is great but the rest of the service is a no go.

This place was amazing! I came here to visit family and we happened to choose to eat here. The view of the river and bridge was wonderful, even in the winter. My favorite part though was the food! This is one of those hidden gems that is absolutely wonderful when it comes to food. The fried cheese curds were delicious, the onion rings were huge, and the burgers were cooked really good! I definitely recommend this place to those that havent been. An absolute gem!

We had sworn of the legion for years, between the mediocre food and terrible service we had no desire to come back, until this past weekend, our server Megan was absolutely phenomenal with her fun sarcastic energetic attitude and her ability to serve basically the whole dining room and still give us great service, it was such a nice change from the legion we used to know. Definitely the only reason we will be back! Love to see this place on the up and up!

We arrived at around 6:20, ordered 2 hamburgers and sat there waiting for them for over an hour. We watched people that came in well after us order and get their food within 10 to 15 minutes, eat their meal and leave. When we finally got up to pay for our drinks and leave, they told us the delay was because of a party happening in another room. That didnt seem to delay other customer orders arriving before ours. Never coming back again.

Allison is the best most friendliest waitress there is. Food has gotten better, but hostess needs to step it up in regards to sitting outside on saved or reservations pending. Weve been told twice that tables were booked ouside and sat inside and watched the tables sit empty the whole time we were there.

Youre gonna laugh at this. The Legion isnt serving breakfast. They dont have any breakfast food is what we were told today. So we asked if we could get lunch, but she said not until 11:30. It was 10:00. So we asked what we could order then, and she said anything but food. Seriously?!?

Food and service was great today. My burger was cooked perfectly and had a lot of flavor and loaded with mushrooms, onions, cheese, and bacon! I was very happy! It was a beautiful day to sit out on the patio.

If I could give no stars that is what I would do. We ordered the food to go and were charged an extra $2. The chicken quesadilla was the worst meal I have had in a long time. My granddaughters burger was almost raw. Medium rare should have been a little pink. For $55 we should have had a much better experience. It will be a VERY long time before I return.I used to cook for a living and I would have been embarrassed to serve the food we received.

We waited for an hour for our food because they lost our ticket! This is unacceptable, and when they did notice, like 40 minutes later, they said that they would have our food on rush and it would think 10 minutes, but we waited 20 minutes for our food and all we had to do was just leave. So we went home without food in our stomachs. The waiter was nice but had us waiting. So, we wouldnt come here again.

I love your food, love the view and patio, but you need to get a new bus boy. He bussed 4 tables, never washed/sanitized any of those tables. He haphazardly wiped down chairs, fogeting one, not doing the arms on several. One waitress had a mask that she wore mostly under her nose, not good. A family with an infant sat at one of those dirty tables. Youve got to hire people who take Covid seriously. If and a big if, I come back, I will sanitize my own table, and assume it wasnt cleaned!

They have a great location with an outdoor patio on the river. Too bad there service and food quality is so bad. We went there a few years ago and boycotted it because of the bad service. We decided to give it another chance hoping they may have have better service. Big Mistake.... we waited almost 2 hours for chicken wings and onion rings!. The waitress came out and apologized and stated there were only 2 waitresses on duty. It was 7:30 at night and it was not busy. Again...we are boycotting! If you want a good burger and great waitresses go down to the 2nd Street Depot. We have never had bad service there.

Came here for lunch with some co workers. Food was so good. Forgot the name of the burger I ate but it was very satisfying. The tater tots hit the spot to.

Husband and I just had lunch there it is nice looking over the river and serive was great. We both had bacon cheeseburger s and they were really good best I have had in a long time. You have to try the onion rings there really good. We will be back thats for sure.

If you order the broiled fish on Friday be prepared for 2 extremely small pieces of fish. I guess if you order the deep fried it looks like you are getting more. Hard to find broiled fish offered in this area but wont be coming back here for fish.

Aside from the patio and view, I did not have a very good experience. The inside was dirty, the bartender smelled terrible and didnt wash his hands after picking something off the bottom of his shoe. I saw him do this, then make my drink. I asked our server is she could have the other bartender make it and told her why, she responded oh thats gross, but he does it all the time.. I watched the other bartender cleanly make a bloody, which was delicious. It took about 45 minutes to get an app and over an hour and a half to get food. There were 22 people in the whole place including who was at the bar and two servers on - who mostly chatted in the corner and smoked. I could see them smoking around the corner.. Our server was okay, not super friendly, not very accountable. The only good thing about our visit was the view and the bloody. This could really be a great place it the building and staff were cleaned up. We will take the extra 15 minutes to the outdoor bar in Prescott next time.

A great local vetetans support club. Service fast and freindly. Breakfast menu like a family diner would have. Portions on plate are normal and food tasted great.

We have been patrons for several years, however after today we will not be back! The changes in staff, increased prices and huge drop in quaility are enough for us to call it quits. The male bartender Fuzzy looked like he had just rolled out of bed and slept in his clothes. We watched him blow his nose and never wash his hands..YUK. Our server was cute and pleasant, but had no idea how to be a server. She forgot our drinks and the bartender finally ask if he could bring us something. When she finally came to take our order my husband was not even at the table?!? She did come back and was totally confused because we ask to split an order of fries. She brought us an entire basket of fries when all we wanted was a small side to share. The basket cost $5 on top of the increased price of our sandwiches, my BLT had one slice of bacon on the entire sandwich. We were shocked to see the bartender and some BOH staff do a shot of tequila...it was not even noon. I understand that the management is new....good luck with this club, it used to be the best food and service in town..those days are apparently long gone. We are sad to lose our favorite spot!!

Nice day to take a scenic along the Mississippi River. End up at the American legion Post 47 For a beer. Beautiful veiw of the river and bridge. Learned that the bridge was built of site and it was floaes down the river and lifted in to place.

It is hard to believe how service at this place could get worse... This staff must have to work hard to not take care of the customers that come to this place... I live in Hastings down the road from the Legion and bad service is the norm though it is now over the top... Sat for 20 minutes on Monday 7/31/17 at 6pm and didnt get any service.. Really too bad as this is on the river... I guess the staff must think that people are lucky that they are there and will eventually get around to people... Two other tables along with us had left the place due to bad service in the 15 - 20 minutes that we were there...

Overcrowded, and I was verbally harassed by an intoxicated patron when I went to use the bathroom. The patron then came out and put his hands on my shoulder and I nearly struck him as a result . Bartender was a grouch and I couldnt wait to leave the building. Dont go here.
