Amazing auto shop here, I had a power steering issue with my truck and they took care of it. I had used a different shop in the area and had to take it back twice and it still want fixed. I will definitely be back for any vehicle needs in the future.

Went to 10 shops/ repair shops in East Lansing and Lansing area for my car radio not working issue. Nobody was ready to help or was busy and also had no technician. I was super disappointed as it’s my sons Mazda Miata and he was turning 18 years old. Wanted to gift him the car with the audio NOW working.Then my neighbor told me about the Marathon on Marsh rd. Went there and Caleb asked me to leave the car on Sunday and he will check it up. But as I told him that I need it urgently and explained him it was my sons gift etc. he immediately understood and Josh started working on it followed by Caleb as he knew what was wrong and fixed it in 5 minutes flat. 🥳🥳 it was like magic.Superb guys and even though the gas station is under renovation the repair shop is OPENTHANK YOU GUYSU R THE BEST.

Wont accept the makeitcountrewarsds. You push the button to enter a code and nothing happens. None of the buttons work on any of the pumps...

Talked to Josh on the phone about some problems I was having with one of my older trucks. Just couldnt get my break lights to come work, hand a fuel line leaking and something was draining my battery. He told me to bring it up there and thats all stuff they could fix for me. Didnt hear anything for a day so I called up there and he tells me his techs dont wanna work on it. Wont take anything up there again or recommend the place to anyone. Didnt do anything but waste my time.

These guys are amazing. I called this morning in desperate need of a tire rotation, I spoke to Mike and he was awesome. He got me right in. The cashiers are super friendly, store is always clean. If you need any work done on your vehicle or a cold soda I definitely recommend stopping in this store. Thanks again Mike, Ill be seeing you again soon for more work.

Great and honest mechanics. They do a great job and so pleasant to work with. I will bring my cars to them from now on. They just did a great exhaust system job and made and diagnosed a loose differential. I hope they stay in business a long time. They took great care of my vintage Triumph roadster.

I have to take a quick moment to thank Josh. He is a pillar to the Marathon community in Haslett since the new ownership. His integrity, honesty, and genuine desire to help customers get back to reliable transportation reigns supreme. Josh has helped me with several automotive needs in the past. He recently helped me to finally tackle a project I have neglected for several months. He charged me a fair price to change the inner-tube on my snow blower tire when one of your main competitors wanted to charge me a highway robbery price. Mobile highly disappointed me as they are closer to my home than Haslett Marathon but they seemed to be more interested in taking advantage of their customers.On any given day, I would drive out of my way every time to receive quality service and fair treatment provided by Josh and his team. . . . . Very poor customer service this morning. My coworker who been coming there for 5 months every morning . Clerk told her she couldnt use 5 packets of sugar for her coffee and since she did he would have to charge her .25 cents per packet after following her around the store as if she was trying to steal something. Its really too bad you just lost a valuable customer!!

Unbelievably bad service. I took my car into get a AC check they told me it would take an hour and it took two hours as well as they said they would call me when its ready which they never did. I get there and they say its going to cost me $824.94 and I told them I had to think about it. As Im walking to my car after talking to them I noticed my back window was down but I figured they did it to let air in since it was so hot out, as Im pulling out I try to get the window to go up and it wont move but you can hear the motor. Once I get home I call them and explained what happened they told me to come back so I did then they looked at it and took my whole door apart to try to fix it whiling being extremely rough and uncareful. The mechanic while working on it kept claiming they didnt do anything and didnt touch the door at all. Keep in mind Ive never had window issues before going to this place in the 6 years Ive had my car but as soon as I take it here the first time it breaks! They tried to come up with excuses and had the manager talk to me and say they didnt do it and it was a normal thing according to them to happen and can just randomly happen while driving. The dude even had the audacity to say it seems like youre trying to pin this on us when I have 0 reason to lie and also who else would it be. They were extremely rude and condescending, Ive never had a worse experience anywhere especially from a car service center. I will never ever go here again after what happened. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST AND DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR CAR!!!

I had a very poor experience:Expensive:Matt wanted $950 to replace a fuel pump. I took it elsewhere and got it done for $420.Pushy:Constantly interrupted. Questions regarding charges were met with accusations of not respecting his business. Very unpleasant to communicate with.An excerpt:Me: Matt, if you didnt know you were going to be charged for something, and then were charged, would you be frustrated?Matt: No.Condescending:Had to listen to many lengthy analogies explaining things such as what a warranty is. I know what a warranty is. I feel like most people know what a warranty is.Rude to women:Matt audibly scoffed at a middle-aged woman at the shop by herself - to her face - when she questioned whether her repair would be cheaper without replacing one of the parts he was selling her.Id really recommend not doing business here.

I will say 1 good thing before I rant, and that is the first time I went there they noticed and fixed a problem with my tire that 2 other local places didnt.But Ive been there 3 times and experienced the worst customer service of ANY place Ive ever been to. I dont expect fake smiles and small talk. But all 3 times I stood in the store, waiting for help. The girl is always on her phone, notices me and other customers but doesnt acknowledge any of us. The last 2 times Ive been there the guys working at the counter were just chatting with each other, the girl on her phone, all noticing those of us that were there but never helping.

Impressive technician! I took my car in for an oil change and they also spotted a bubble buldge on the inner sidewall of my tire. This type of bubble means Ive had impact damage to my tire (thank you potholes of Michigan!) and I could have a blowout. It was on the inner side of the tire where I never would have seen it, the tread on the tire was still good, but it could have caused a serious accident. So glad they looked the car over more than they had to just for an oil change. They even told me my breaks still had a lot of life left and that they did not see any other problems but I should get my tire replaced ASAP. Im impressed!

Again! I can’t say enough good about Josh and his service! Nail in tire. Immediate plug and no charge. Superior service!!!!!!

This place was great a shady shop on cedar street tried to charge me 1000 dollars for alignment and bushings these guys checked everything out and where honest about only needing the alignment. Definitely come here if you want an honest shop

Couldnt be happier with the service received from Josh at this shop. I needed to get a used car checked-out and, though weve never met, he volunteered to look it over and let me know the shape it was in. Ill certainly be taking any business I have back to him just because of his service.

Excellent service! Fast, with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. I had a problem with one of my tires leaking and happened to be passing by. I stopped in to get some air for a temporary fix and one of the staff even assisted me and told me what he thought the problem might be and how much it might cost. So I came back and they got the job done quickly and for a good price. Id go back again if I needed to.

Couldnt be more upset with the quality of work by these mechcanics. I took my 06 Pontiac G6 in to get some front end suspension work done, replacing my A-frame and a stabilizer bar. They of course charged me a ridiculous amount of money just on labor, over $400, for 3 hours they had my car. They give my car an alignment, that was not aligned. When I drove my car away from the garage the steering wheel looked like I was taking a banking left turn in order to go straight. Its unbelievable that they would send a car that they fixed out of their garage like that. I took it back to be actually aligned the right way and they did it without charge, because it should have been done correctly in the first place, it took 3 of these guys driving my car before they decided that they did terrible work. I drove my car off the lot again to see that the steering wheel is now slightly off, now Im always making a slight right turn to go straight. Unacceptable. Now Im thinking What else did they mess up? so I get under the front end of my car and look at the parts they just replaced, one of the grease bags on the new A-frame that they just put on is completely crushed from them tightening it down way too hard. So all of this money and time that I spent taking my car to get fixed is halfway down the drain and Im left with a new set of problems. I wouldnt trust these guys with an oil change, I wouldnt send my worst enemy here to get work done. Save yourself the hassle and the money, go to a better garage, these guys deserve to go out of business, I dont see how they could honestly stand behind their work.

Sadly I cannot give negative stars.It is a really really horrible place. I took my SUV for a break job. Josh told me that the estimate would be done for free (which is very common). The estimate came out to be about $900 so I told them that I do not want it done. They charged me $89 for the estimate!!I took the SUV to Okemos Belle Tire (Ive found them to be pretty honest). They did the job for about $250.Do not get scammed by this shop. Take your car somewhere else, anywhere.

Use their coupons for a $40 synthetic oil change, compared to $90+ anywhere else. They are very friendly and do a fantastic job!

Very poor service.. they totally took advantage of my girl friend. charged her 2700 on a diesel vw Jetta. I called myself and tried being nice the service manager Josh was so rude he over talked me and cut me off and was a smart ass saying sir we appreciate you calling and have a wonderful day... After reading the reviews from others i realized this is a common practice. Bad part is the problem isnt fixed and they wouldnt stand behind the work they did. I had asked to speak to the owner Matt 3 times and was told he was standing next to Josh listening the whole time but, then suddenly when I demanded to talk to him he was now with a customer. These people are no good, rip off artists and take advantage of people DO NOT EVER USE THEM SPREAD THE WORD!!!!!! We got the total run around........

Bad experience. Make sure you get another quote from another service garage before you trust Marathons prices. I found Tuffy Muffler on Grand River was a lot easier to work with and they were willing to get me cheaper parts. These guys also wanted to charge me $125 for a new battery that they told me I couldnt change myself or Id risk blowing up my radio. I bought one at Meijer for $85 and changed it in 15 minutes. My radio still works. I guess times are tough and these guys will do anything they can to sell you over-priced unneccesary car parts. Make sure to shop around!!

AVOID THESE GUYS! If I could give zero stars I would. These scammers changed their name to get away from all the bad reviews, but its business as usual at this unusually crooked mechanic. They try to scare customers into paying for more repairs than they need, break what they do touch, and are breathtakingly rude when you try to talk to them about it.
