I was really impressed with the professionalism and location of Robert Half employment agency in the heart of downtown Hartford. I made an appearance at 3 pm to connect in person and hopefully set up an interview. I brought copies of my resume in a simple folio, along with business cards, handed a resume to the receptionist, and she said let me see if theres someone available now, ran around the desk to a room, and 5 minutes later, Chelsea was available to meet me and interviewed me on the spot. She took me into a corner office, semicircular windows overlooking a 15th floor view, the panorama of the city and state stretching before us. She asked me pointed questions about my experience, what type of work I was looking for, how my previous experience related to administrative work. She seemed concerned both for connecting me with the right employment and also making sure their vendor businesses were going to get what they were looking for from me. The only thing that took me by surprise was asking do you have any questions about the company?, which I though would wait for full-time employment interviews with a placement company. It looks like a focused, terrific company with offices in San Francisco, Chicago, and Los Angeles. While I recommend walking in to connect and set up an interview time, it would help to take a moment to check the website for Robert Half before going, its a very interesting company and itll be easy for you to come up with questions.
This location in particular lacks basic customer care. I look for a recruiting agency that has quick response to emails and I can call someone directly, neither of which I have experienced on the 2 hires I have worked with them on.
This agency was not what Iwas expecting. As an HR professional for 20 years, I was put off by the lack of knowledge and how unorganized some individuals were. I was able to find more jobs on my own within a matter of days compared to being with this company for months. My opinion, there needs to be more seasoned recruiters . If your looking to work pretty quickly, THIS IS NOT THE COMPANY you want to deal with. Save yourself the headache. This company offers no hope, they inform you of positions and then you never hear back. Unfortunately, Because of this experience, I choose not to deal with any of “Robert Half” agency’s. The customer service number they give is still a waste of time. It’s a 2 star rating for a reason.
DON’T BOTHER WITH THIS AGENCYI tried using this agency and everything went well until I found out that they created a resume for me by pulling old employment information that had nothing to do with the current job I applied for. Then gave it to the employer I was trying to work with.I ended up going to my interview with a real copy of my resume in hand and discovered the employer had the botched resume this agency gave them so I ended up looking bad.I had a conversation with several employees from the agency and no one could tell me how, who or why that botched resume was created and then sent to the employer without consulting me.That’s not even the worst of it!A few days later I contacted the agency to obtain an update from that interview and they told me the position was already filled. The following week I happened to see on a job site that the same company I interviewed with posted an ad for the same position. I ended up calling the company and they said the agency claimed that I was no longer interested in the job!!!!!!!This agency is VERY suspicious and they’re shysters.Always remember that when you work for a temp agency they’re getting commissions off you working for the companies they assign you to.Give this company your business and they’ll screw you over too.
The recruiter I had for Robert Half was very helpful and professional. They helped me find a permanent position, the staff was friendly, and they were quick to follow up with any questions or concerns that I had. I would recommend to anyone looking for entry level experience in the accounting field
This is the most unprofessional and disorganized staffing office I have dealt with. My phone calls were never returned; emails never responded to. I was bounced around from one staff member to the next, and left hanging for days. Sent me on my first interview for a job that had nothing to do with my experience. Receptionist was short on the phone, and frequently would cut me off & transfer me to yet another voicemail before I finished speaking. Much better off job searching on my own.
If I could give a half or zero stars, I would. A recruiter contacted me when I was between jobs and needed some income. Expressed interest in helping me find something to bring in some quick money through a short-term contract, and then never contacted me back. Phone calls went unanswered, emails ignored. Some of the most unprofessional people in the business.
Megan Szczensy lacks professionalism in her ability to follow up. After being referred by another department manager, I consistently followed up with her inquiring about the status of where we stood in the application process. Her colleague agreed I would be a good candidate for their firm, and her response was that she was traveling and I will get back to you next week. There was no follow up... it took me to reach out for a 3rd time, after being strung along since December 24 for clarifications as to where we stand. This review is solely based on Megan... and I cannot give feedback to anyone else here.
Stay away from this staffing agency! The recruiters don’t care about you! They screwed me over so bad and I’m referring to the recruiter named Nicole.
I was contacted on 3/11/19 by Alex Hartley a recruiter for Robert Half. Alex was engaging at first with details about a job I would be perfect for. With promises of submitting my resume and promises of feed back, I agreed to apply for the position. That was on 3/11/19! I have emailed him to get excuse after excuse, I even called him to get excuses. The next two days I have contacted him via email with no response. I would not recommend this agency or recruiter to anyone.
I submitted my resume to a job posting on careerbuilder. Within a few hours I received a phone call from RH Hartford. We reviewed my resume and we discussed the job and the company. Here is the sleaze about this branch. I know the owner of the company where this job is. I also know the person who currently does the job. I called the owner and spoke with him about the job opening. The owner didnt know what I was talking about. There is no job opening and the person currently in that position is doing a very good job and has no plans to leave. The job posting on Careerbuilder by RH Hartford was a completely fake job using a real company as bait. How do we contact the consumer protection division for the State of CT? Total sleaze. This isnt just one person but a deliberate branch policy on how to bait people looking for real jobs. People to watch for at this branch: Adam Davis, Duane Sauer, Brian Moske, Brittany Rizzo. Those are just some of the names. Watch out.
I can vouch for other reviewers here and say its all true about the Hartford location. They never return phone calls and they underpay with the promise of newer assignment that never materialize (eg. The dangling carrot in front of the donkey)
Not sure how Daniele Zavarella has a job. Completely rude and completely unprofessional. Worked for CRDA and they completely lied on me. Dont go here its completely racist and unprofessional. Youre better off flipping burgers.... Im not kidding.
As previous reviewer, gives you the run around and never return phone calls. They may have a high staff turnover rate so that tells you something about this operation. Maybe an Office Team in another city is more responsive and professional. Would never recommend this place to a serious job seeker.
Robert Half has been harassing me for for at least five years now.I have told them numerous times to stop contacting me and they continue to do so.I would never ever do business with a company who is so desperate for developers they repeatedly annoy and harass people who have told them to stop calling.100% of my developer friends have had the same experience.
I gave them my resume they keep sending me to interviews that have nothing to do with my experience. Not very good communication. Had to speak with 3 different people on finding an assignment which I didnt like . Had me go to an interview and the client was upset they keep sending people with wrong job description. I felt like I was wasting time. Got turned off after christina said I didnt go to an interview I I cant be trusted lol which is funny I csnt trust YOU to send me somewhere with work pertaining to my experience smh
I would give this place zero stars if I could. If youre seriously looking for a job do not use this specific Office Team. I signed up with Office Team back in 2014 and they just now found me an assignment in 2016. They have sent me on many interviews that I was in no way qualified for. I felt so embarrassed. Everyone from the receptionist to the staffing managers are rude ! and Just like a previous poster said ...you will get the run around. I would call to speak to one person just to be connected with someone I don;t even know. I am currently awaiting a manager to call me so I can report one of these RUDE employees. I am so glad Im done with this company and I will NEVER use them again. They dont pay enough anyways. There were people from different agencies at my assignment that got paid a whole three dollars more!
They are the most horrible temp agency to work for, they are very rude never return phone calls, completely unprofessional and they also lied on me while i used them as source would never work for their agency... and they are prejudice
Honestly, the only reason id give them 2 stars is because they did find me a job super fast. But they have literally a million people working there it seems like, where you always get a phone call from someone else. They make you drive all the way to hartford, pay for parking yourself, for 5 minutes just to give them your drivers license which you could easily just fax, but for some reason they dont want that. They know your degree is in accounting lets say, but they stick you in some random position that has nothing to do with that. Im definitely not using this temp agency ever again and it has definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. Use them with your own risk. They also constantly will still send emails regardless of you unsubscribing. Theyve lied about a position before and when the time came to interview with the its no longer available anymore... It just seems very sketchy to me and I dont trust them.
Never returns phone calls. They say they have open assignments on indeed but they dont staff you on them.
The worst experience! I used to work for this company in another state and they help me a lot but here in Hartford is the worst place. They are good for nothing.
Waste of time
They do not speak Spanish
