I was with a friend who bought a car from Brandon Grambow. I have a 2020 Ford Escape that I’d purchased from another dealer. During my friends appointment, I learned more about my car from Brandon than had been explained by the other dealer. I was extremely impressed by his knowledge and as a result purchased the product Xzilon to protect my car. Had 4 tires installed. Supplied tires, just needed them mounted/balanced. Dropped off car at 10:40 and job still wasnt done by 3pm. Girl running the counter was a total drag and kept making rude remarks when I asked how much longer it might be. I used to work at a tire shop. 45 minutes for 4 tires was standard, not 5 hours...

After 17 days and having to pay for a rental. Just over $1300.00 in labor costs !!!!!! I do not recommend taking any vehicle to any dealership for repairs. They offered help with the rental and other things as well..... but FAILED to follow through. NO STARS 👎👎👎👎👎 The only way I can post this is if I give a star rating and I dont even want to give 1 star

Ewalds did an awesome job selling me my used vehicle during the pandemic. I was nervous how things were going to go at first, but the whole experience went great. Any questions I had were answered before and after purchasing the vehicle. I didnt feel rushed in anyway even after getting the vehicle. Most dealerships Ive been to always have had some type of problem I ended up having to take care of myself, but these guys made sure there were no loose ends to deal with later. That is a big reason to go to this dealership for both Ford vehicles and their used trade in vehicles. They treat you the same way whether you bought a new or used vehicle regardless of make. You definitely feel like your being taken care of there. So anyone out there worried about getting a vehicle during this pandemic you wont have any problems with Ewalds in Hartford, Wisconsin. Was told to come on in this morning for an emissions test yesterday after my husband called to see if they did them today. Got there at 9am when the lady told him they started and he was told, we don’t do them on Saturday’s. Now we will be late as it’s the end of the month and we trusted your customer service rep yesterday. Yesterday we had three options and wanted to go with Ewald because that where we always take our cars. That sucks, get your emissions info out to your Customer Service reps, now we have zero options.

This will be the dealership I will buy my cars from for the rest of my life. Period. I worked with Damon one of the sales and leasing consultants and let me tell you... You couldnt ask for a more knowledgeable and easygoing experience. The dealership welcomed me with a smile and made me feel at home. Bought a car from them a couple months ago. Never got anything from their loyalty rewards like told I would. So I left an email and never heard back. Whatever not a big deal. Wanted to cancel an extended warranty call on the phone ask what works best for them, they told me to come in the next day. I come in and they’re busy they ask if I wanted to wait or just call me when they are free. I live 2 minutes away so I said just call me and I’ll be right there. Never received a call. Came in the next day after that and they’re busy they will let me know when they are free. Never hear back again. I go in the next day and they’re busy again but this time they ask for an email to just email me the form. It took me to come in 3 times and me calling them for them to just email me a form. Massive waste of time. I get emailed the form and told if I have any questions just email them and they’ll get back to me. So I email them 2 questions I had and never heard back. Awful experience and customer service for 2 things that could’ve been very simple to solve.

Whenever I get my oil changed it takes 3 hours +. Half the time I get no updates or call when I can come pick up my vehicle. I used to stay at the dealership and wait because they always tell me it should only taken 1 hour, so now I plan to drop off and it’s dependent on when I call to see if it’s ready for pick-up. For how much I’ve paid for these services, there should be better customer service.

My wife and I purchased a 2014 Ford Expedition Limited EL from Doug this past weekend. I have been searching high and low for the right vehicle. Typically, I have not had much luck with salesman not responding to me and such. As soon as I called, not 10 minutes later I received a video message of the vehicle from Doug (as we were making a 3 hour hike). During the whole purchasing experience, Doug was honest and understood what we wanted.I have never had such a good buying experience at a dealership. Doug and the staff hid nothing from me. Doug went above and beyond what I expected while purchasing a vehicle. I know he could have made two more sales rather than dealing with my one. During the finance portion of the purchase, Trent was just as easy to talk to as Doug. Trent also understood what we wanted and did not pressure us into anything. Again, a great buying experience without feeling push or pressured the whole time. Its great driving away in the vehicle we wanted and having zero buyers remorse! I would buy again from Ewald Ford!

First off, this is a review for Ewald in Oconomowoc. The review rating is for the dealership and not my salesman. My salesman was great. Young man that is just starting out but will do well in the future. The business manager was also a very well informed and nice person. Now for the dealership: I understand that certain vehicles are popular and there isnt a lot of them around. I had to pay sticker price and they wouldnt take not one penny off the price. Unfortunately, it was the only one I could find in the area, otherwise I would have gone elsewhere. There could have been at least a little give in order to satisfy a customer. I traded in a vehicle that wasnt physically there at the time but I advised them that it is in very good shape. They guaranteed me a tentative amount until they could see it and said if it is in good shape they would increase the trade value. I told them that it was in excellent shape and when I came in to close on the deal I had several employees tell me what great shape my trade was considering the miles on it. the body was near new looking. I never got one penny more for it even though I was told I would. That is just down right being dishonest with your customer. I will never go back to Ewald again. People work hard for there money and Im sure they are laughing all the way to the bank, but it just isnt good business.

This review is for the service department. I took my car to get warranty work done and they told me it was normal for my ac to leak in the interior and that I was pushing the button wrong for my sunroof and never even looked at my car. Took my car to Van Horn and they found out my sunroof motors were shorted and my ac had a drainage issue. The service techs were very rude and dismissive and could not be bothered with me or my warranty issues on my car. Will not be returning and will not recommend to anyone.

We had visited last weekend and had a few concerns about a used 2011 Ford Explorer and they more than fixed every concern we had. We came back this weekend and test drove it and it was exactly what we were looking for. We had tried other places and newer explorers were more expensive and felt far less maintained and well kept than the one we bought. They made us an amazing deal! Im very happy with the Ford Explorer I bought from Ewalds in Hartford. I especially want to thank my salesperson, Damon. He was incredibly welcoming and helpful from the moment I walked in. He really was knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He was able to accommodate a few requests I had with regard to the vehicle and in my ability to include my wife in on the decision since she couldnt be there in person.Once I decided to buy, we scheduled the closing for a Saturday morning when Damon was already scheduled to be off. Ewalds Hartford is the absolute worst dealership I have ever worked with. Recently I traded in a vehicle and purchased a new pick up truck. I returned the next day after I noticed a reverse light was out and a small scratch on the drivers door. I arrived and the salesperson I bought the car from the night before did not even know who I was. I informed her of the vehicle I purchased from her the night before and explained the issues. Shortly after, she returned with some touch up paint and a light bulb and said here you go. SHE ACTUALLY EXPECTED ME TO GO OUT TO MY NEW PICK UP AND DO IT MYSELF. I informed her that I would not do that and someone from the service department should do it. She responded Well Im not gonna do it. The service department was able to buff out the scratch with no issues. And the service department ordered my part and said it should be two weeks. I came back two weeks later for my scheduled appointment and they realized as soon as I got there that they ordered the wrong part. They told me they would have the new part, in two weeks. I came back two weeks later and as they parked my vehicle to begin working on it. They realized, THEY HAD LOST THE PART. The service manager told me he would call me as soon as the got the part back. I waited two more weeks, received no phone call and called them asking if they had the part and they said Oh yeah we got it, but your gonna have to schedule and appointment.... in two weeks. ;) So overall service department does not have it together, sales team does not have it together, and by default THE MANAGEMENT clearly does not have it together.

I will admit I feel the interior could use some updates. Just not a very “modern” feel. Would like to see them take some of that money and put it back into the company. This dealership has the best service department in the state. My wife and I drive Dodge vehicles purchased from Ewalds in Oconomowoc. However, its much closer and convenient for us to do our routine maintenance at the Hartford location. We always leave satisfied and confident our vehicles have been professionally serviced. This past week, I ran over a metal shard and got a severe leak in one of my Dodges tires. As soon as it happened, I called the service department and the manager found me an immediate opening. I think I was pulling into the service department doors within 30-45 minutes of damaging the tire. That alone is the mark of an outstanding organization. I received a ride home to wait. By that very afternoon, my vehicle had four new tires and was ready for me to pick up (all four were nearing the end of their useable life...it was time for a new set). Its important to note they didnt have the tires for my vehicle in stock, but the service manager expedited the ordering and delivery of the appropriate tires that day. Absolutely stellar performance. Keep up the great work.

This literally was the fastest and best car buying experience EVER! It started with me asking to look at a 2008 Ford Escape on their lot. Their Business Development Center got me to Dawn, who had the vehicle all cleaned up and waiting for me and the experience was very professional. The finance manager Eric was extremely polite and accommodating. He took my credit application and I got approved immediately. Jay Ewald even came over to thank me for my business. Very poor experience. Every time Ive taken my car into them they come back with some very expensive repair. About a year ago I got new tires from them. About 9 months ago they told me my door frame was dented and the latch needed to be replaced and a strut was broken. I decided not to do anything. Fast forward to 3 months ago, for my oil change, they tell me my transmission was leaking and a line needed to be replaced, something was wrong with the wheel assembly, and my tires needed to be replaced soon. They didnt mention anything about the other two critical repairs that they mentioned the first time. Did they just magically resolve themselves?Im not a car guy, but I know what transmission fluid looks like and Id know if it was leaking. Also, you sold me the tires a year ago. Are you telling me that I put that much wear on my tires in a year? My car has been sitting in a garage as Im working from home.I took the vehicle to another service department who did replace a part in the wheel assembly. Said tires and transmission were fine.Long story short, this is a terrible service department who tries to milk you for money. Id highly recommend finding another ford dealer to work with. if I could give 0 stars I would.Other complaints: Good luck trying to get someone from the service department on the phone. They outsource all of their calling to an off shore call center. Sure thats fine for scheduling oil changes but if someone has a serious issue they need to be able to reach ou.I did fill out a negative review on Ford.com, and it took Ewald two months to make any out reach. They dont care. Im done.**Update**The tires they sold me only got 21k miles out of them before im told they need to be immediately replaced. Tires are under warranty for 50k miles. I unfortunately had to take it back to Ewalds ford per the tire manufacturer to get the inspection report.They came back to me with a list of repairs including a strut mount, engine coolant flush, and transmission coolant lines needing to be replaced.The thing is, I had my car in for an oil change at a different ford dealership less than two weeks prior, who checked these things and reported that there were no issues.For the past two years theyve been telling me my transmission lines are leaking but no one else seems to find it.Save yourself a headache, save yourself the money, stay away from Ewalds.

Sorry guy we weren’t a big commercial account that bought a 100k truck... The service process was even worse when we went for a recall. No communication whatsoever and they passed my “I need it back by” and didn’t even let me know. Should’ve been a short recall and possible second warranty but no communication all all during the process. I got one of those “how was your service” calls. It was a “heads up for potential review form coming your way” and I let her know I was not happy.... she said someone would contact me needless to say I never saw the review form and no one ever contacted me again. Talk about screening reviews... How do you fix something broken if you only care about the good reviews...?What a waste of payroll the whole lot of them were. And from other reviews it seems like I wasn’t the only one.

Wow. 5/5 isnt high enough. I bought a new F150 over the weekend and my experience there was amazing. Andy in finance was the nicest man I ever worked with and got me an extended warranty for super cheap! I suggest everyone should go and buy from them and cross your fingers Andy does your paperwork. He was so kind and willing to stay way past closing for me!
