If I could move I would! These people are terrible. They have 3 maintenance men to maintain over 100 properties. They are NEVER responsive. My daughter got locked, literally locked in her room because they supposedly fix her door knob and when I call emergency maintenance NO ONE called back m. We had to bust the door open in order to get her out smh. But dont let your late be rent be late smh. They QUICK FAST to send you a eviction notice. This place is just horrible. And its like they just anything happen and put the blame on you 🙄

Ive been in my apartment 2 years and the maintenance is horrible, the security is worst...the rugs of the hall nasty, black and it stinks. Now I need transfer because I dont feel safe here, Im pregnant and they dont answer, tried office number and nothing, tried texting this Janice Illescas and she was responsive first and then ignored me, shes not answering either. Now with the pandemic you cant go there because they have the doors closed to the public, but they are very fast to text you when you dont pay the money the 10th of the month...I dont recommend this company to anyone!

THEY ARE CROOKS, THEY KEPT OVER $300 OF MY DEPOSIT MONEY STATING 3 MISSING BLINDS ( FAMILY DOLLAR $5 BLINDS) AND THEN THEY SAID FRIDGE AND OVEN WAS NOT CLEANED....LIES LIES LIES. I SENT PICTURES, THERE WERE 2 MISSING BLINDS WHICH WERE NOT THERE WHEN I MOVED IN AND I TOLD THE MAINTENANCE NOT TO WORRY I WOULD BUY MY OWN WHICH I DID AND I TOOK THEM WITH ME WHEN I LEFT. THE FRIDGE AND OVEN NOT CLEAN, RIGHT I WAS BARELY HOME FOR THEM TO EVEN BE USED.......BUT THATS OK.....DONT RENT FROM THEM UNLESS YOU ARE IN A SITUATION WHERE THERE IS NO OTHER OPTIONS.

This people when they want you out they play you dirty doing things to your apt. Theyvput things on the insidevof your door like poop and other things to get you move out and loose your deposit

They never pick up the phone in the office never want to fix’s nothing but want they rent money on time then want to give you a $50 late fee what slumlords you have a better chance calling the news and the health department to get anything done around here

Made up lies about pesticides in their maple avenue building when I asked told me there was no history of it prior to me moving in . But I come to find out the whole building Is infested with bed bugs once I’m already moved in. These people Stood with my security deposit and first month rent only returned one month that we paid in advance . Didn’t live in this place not even a month and got bit by bed bugs all over my body only to be told from the extermination guy . “You shouldn’t complain to the office if you didn’t find any bed bugs ” & the woman in the office told me they needed “proof” as if the markings on my body wasn’t enough . I went to the hospital and got my paper stating the marks on my body was bed bugs. & at that it was still an issue trying to break my lease !!!!the woman in the office tried offering me other buildings because they knew they were in the wrong for lying & didn’t want to return my money BUT as I’m in the office I hear other people walking in complaining about bed bugs in DIFFERENT locations . These people are SCAMS !!!! DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!!!THEY HAVE MULTIPLE PLACES INFESTED WITH BED BUGS🐜

I wish I could put not a single star in all honesty. We moved into a beautiful and spacious apartment on Gillett Street that felt like home. It was amazing, then the elevator went out while we lived on the fifth floor along with our two sons. It wasnt fixed. Somebody came and put feces into my peep hole and smeared it down the door. I found syringes in the hallway while walking with my kids. People using and abusing drugs all over the building. Then, I told them I needed to move. They had no issue doing that. I moved to an apartment in New Britain, CT. Pretty spacious, wasnt cleaned efficiently. The previous tenants left a pack of meat in the refrigerator and shut off the electricity. So the smell was horrific to say the least. Anyhow, our fridge and stove randomly wouldnt work for 24 hours. No one would pick up the phone so I have to travel from NB to Hartford. For more than a month now my A.C. has leaked all over my carpet. Up to the point that mold/mildew is being produce. I cant turn off the A.C. because the smell of mildew begins to come out even worse. To say the least, I wish I never continued to work with this agency

I used to live at 65 Bulkeley ave in Hartford. I returned keys on 12/10/2019. Ive called multiple times regarding my deposit and have left messages and have not received not one call back. There staff is very irresponsible. If someone is calling and leaving messages its only right that they call the person back and let them know the answer to there call.

I dont live in any of the properties but just so you know bad views are good reviews for any company. So my good review is five stars for never answering phones, five stars for continuing lack of maintenance in my mothers unit in Hartford, until now section 8 is evolved and now they call me to help them get it resolved. Five stars for the lack of maintenance and upgrades that building needs. Five stars for the amount of time my mother checks have disappeared in threaten eviction. Five stars for the mold issue that she has in her unit five stars for the upstairs neighbor t(male couples not that it matter to each their own) who stomps and threatens an elderly woman like my mother verbally, spat on her and threatens physical harm and the Hartford PD threatens to arrest my mother if she calls them again so 5 stars to Hartford PD as well. So definitely five stars to Avalon Village in Hartford, keep up the great work and thank you for relocating my mother from one great building with similar issues which I failed to mention the amount of time for the five Star maintenance that goes into her unit and make themselves at home by eating and drinking out of my mother refrigerator food with limited income while my mother was not present at both locations shes lived in. Another thing I forgot to mention they have a five Star storage for items remove from your home without your knowledge for safekeeping. I definitely recommend Avalon Village apartments. Restart from the top and reread carefully.

If I could give this apartment a negative zero I would. I moved here from Boston with my husband and came a few times to look at apartments and by the horrible graces we ended up in this disgusting repulsive place. To make long story short we only have 5 days here and already breaking this lease so that should tell you how bad it is .... we got a roach infected apartment... mold in heaters...: floors that where never fixed holes under toilet holes under sink the only reason they decided to change the bathroom floor was because the toilet legit was about to come tumbling down ... so then my husband and I show up to the office next day after moving to tell them what we found they decided to move us to a different location where the moment we walked in there was roach poop and dead roaches every where. You would think they would atleast try to hide it . Nope didn’t even try from previous reviews you need to take into consideration that bringing concern to these people will not help you . If you rent here you might be stuck here and this is a health issue ! They agreed to break our lease because they knew this case was not going to go in there favor . The health department has been informed and u have pictures to prove the five days of hell I’ve lived here

Im currently a tenant at one of their sites. Bldg heat does not work properly. Went without heat for a month. Is now fixed but unit is now too hot. I have no way of controlling the thermostat. As a result my son and I are having nose bleeds. Tenants are taping the doors that are suppose to be key locked. Making it the bldg unsafe for tenants. My sons car was vandalized twice. When you contact the ofs to notify them of any wrong doing, you get the run around. This agency is a disgrace. Has poor customer service & incompetent individuals working @ this ofs.

Do not move here. I was robbed and stabed at 417 zion street in the aprtment complex and them evil leasing agents and executive managers would not even offer to help me relocate in a decent area with the same rent. Do not move to any of these locations. You see the other reviews, its not just me who feels this way. God bless them.

They never pick up there phones, meanwhile walking in at first glance all women where in the office bickering he got it like that. We had a fire at one of the locations and no one got back to us and they still havent fixed the spot. When you complain about mold they ignore you unless you have a condition. The maintenance is shoddy and mind you as of now I am in the hospital writing this and CAN NOT REACH THE OFFICE EVEN WHEN I CALLED AT 7 THIS A.M!!!!!

Wish I could give negative stars. We are on Ashley street and theres always a rat/squirrel problem on the roof just constantly scratching away. BeeB here for two years and nothing was done about it.

I will never recommend anyone to live on their Gillett street property been living there for almost 5 years and within these it was so hard to come fix the leaking bathroom told them the stove was old and stopped working they never changed it so only 1 burner was working had someone who worked there broke into our apartment finally I’m saying goodbye to this place never again

I scheduled an appt for an apt viewing on 34 Vernon St. I took time off from work, messaged the lady Janice 20 minutes before showing up, called her once I got to the property.. but she never answered. Completely wasted my time. This is the type of management youll be dealing with if you decide to rent from these people.
