I bought the IBC combi boiler 3 years ago,every single year happen something different with this unit,since the first winter use. People have to paid $129 dollars + tax for diagnostic and enormous price for parts. The customers don’t have guarantee at all.They are stealing the money to the Spanish community. Very bad experience

Kennedy Heating and Plumbing installed our new on-demand furnace (forced hot water) and hot water heater combo. unit in October when the weather started to change. We did not want to pay for another year of oil bills and this was the best solution. The installation was easy, the staff was phenomenal (both in-office and on-site). The guys that did the install were professional, cleaned up every day after themselves and made sure I understood the system before they left. The new furnace is super efficient, our energy bills are down SIGNIFICANTLY and we have not had to call them once since it was installed. Marie in the office is especially helpful, courteous and always does her best to work with you no matter what the issue may be.I see some people posting that Kennedys is expensive but, I would let those people know that you get what you pay for! We also have a condominium where we use Kennedy as well and have continued using them for the past 11 years! they dont lie when they say, Come Home to Comfort, Come Home to Kennedy! A++++++

Kennedy’s Plumbing and Heating converted our heating from oil to gas and installed a ductless mini-split system as well. I truly cannot rate them highly enough! Marie, in the front office made sure that we got every discount, rebate and state-sponsored incentive available. And the crew that did the installation was great- very patient with my 7 year-old’s many questions. I know exactly who I will be calling for all of our future heating, cooling, and plumbing needs!

A Technician came out to take a look at a clogged bathtub drain, before hiring them I was very specific in what I needed done but instead he took it upon himself to snake the drain which I had already done before he came to the house and charged me $297, so they didnt listen to me and charged me all that money to do what I already did, pleasant and it didnt fix the problem, who would have thought?...I called them calmly to let them know the tub still wasnt draining and as everyone else has stated I received attitude from top to bottom, treating me like Im clueless etc...its just a burn and turn business, as soon as they have your credit card info thats it....After arguing back and forth they sent another Technician that was not only rude to my tenants but said he has also fixed the plumbing by doing what the previous one did 2 hours prior....He said it was a ball off hair in the main stack and that he snaked out 40, I guess they think that people lack in common sense as we can all agree that it would take a massive ball of hair in the main drain stack to hold up 100 gallons on water and prevent tubs from draining, and claimed they snaked 40? that would have put them to the second clean out in the basement.... dont waster your time with them, there are plenty of other plumbers out there that do quality work and actually confirm the fix prior to leaving.

This review has been a long time coming. My furnace was red tagged in Jan 2019 and I called Kennedy Plumbing. They were quick and effective in there response time and was able to get me financing that work. If it wasnt for Kennedy Plumbing I would not have known how dangerous my furance was. I will be forever grateful for everything they did while being professional and understanding through the whole process. Thank you Kennedys Plumbing.

Tim Kennedy came to my home to give me an estimate on a IBCCombination boiler. Back in October.He was very professional and organized.The following week his crew came out and installed the new boiler and remove the old boiler and water heater.It took about two days with no interruption of water.I would definitely recommend thisCompany, they take pride in what they do, clean professional workmanship.

Efficiency accompanied by courtesy is a a rare combination in todays work world. The courtesy extended to us by your staff, particularly Marie Varney, Office Manager and Dispatcher, was impressive to say the least. In June 2017, we put a call into Kennedys Plumbing and Heating and that very day she had a crew sent to our home to discover that our A/C Condenser Units were not only old and outdated, but not working. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the older furnace needed to be replaced as well. Materials were ordered and within 3 days of our original call all A/C Condenser Units were replaced as well as the furnace. We were provided with detailed explanations of the work to be performed which was extremely reassuring since this was a first for us. Their expertise saved us an enormous amount of money in labor and material costs. In December of 2017, during the deep freeze that swept our nation, we had to place an emergency call to Marie yet again as the finished basement had no heat and the fear of frozen pipes was very real! Marie immediately dispatched one of her guys and he was on site within the hour of our call. The old mercury thermostat was found to be not working at all. We were advised to replace all three of the old mercury thermostats with new digital ones. By the end of the day all work was done and the heat was on! Thank you Marie and crew for expediting the work needed to be done, such concern is refreshing and should become more widespread!

From my initial consultation to Marie who sets up and literally take control of the entire process and leave you with no worries, to the professionalism respect and courtesy that she and the service tech, Andre Angel, Ron and Lance shows leaves me with complete satisfaction on the work they have done for me. I worked with Kennedy plumbing previously for over a # of years and has always found myself going back. Absolutely refers this company without any hesitstion. I am an elderly disabled single woman and at the beginning of the heating season my boiler broke down. I called Kennedys and they were more than amazing. They came out right away to do the estimate, one of the ladies in the office helped me apply for financing and even though I was denied Kennedys continued to help me and found a program that not only paid to replace my heating system, it was done free of charge! Im so happy I called them they truly saved me. I was so impressed I decided to save up some money and had them install a new air conditioning system this summer. Kennedys goes above and beyond for their customers. I am truly Thankful for all of them!

Just a note to let you know how much we appreciated the fine work your company didwhen we switched from oil to (CNG) Connecticut Natural Gas.We cannot say enough about the service the electricians, the installers, the men who removed the old oil tank...and so on. But the most important person who helped the most was and is Marie.Your company is a Godsend.....and we will continue to sing your praises.One thing I can say about Kennedys Plumbing...If there is a problem...they will fix it...nowaiting.....They are just a wonderful company.A FIVE STAR COMPANY!!!!!!!!

We have used Kennedys for years. For every emergency, they have always responded on the same day, fixed the problem quickly and have been very reasonable in their charges. Tim and his employees always take the time to explain what they did and why and, if its something we can do ourselves, they show us how to do it. Its like having This Old House show up at your door. Highly recommended.

The lady who answers the phone is rude always. from there no business was done. I called another company who were very nice from start to finish. Hate to say this but read other reviews and others say the same thing. Get a new customer service rep. or whatever she is.. She is harming your business. Sorry but i would have done business with you except for the rude response of that woman. Think her name was Maria.

Kennedy’s Plumbing and Heating has wonderful person who provide a great service to their customers. When I needed a plumber I called them and got a real person not an answering machine. I spoke to a courteous person who gave me a fair price and schedule a time convenient with my schedule. Two friendly and professional technicians came, and did the job right. They were true professionals, explained what they did, and said “we stand by our work.” When you need help, Kennedy’s Plumbing and Heating has professionals you can trust.

Called because my heat went out. I am a renter, whose landlord lives in another state. The lady was VERY rude and told me she wasnt going to help me. I am in contact with the homeowner and he authorized me to get it fixed. I was going to pay myself and he would reimburse me. I dont understand what her issue is, but perhaps if she was less rude and actually listened. RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE.The point of this review is not about their policies, it was about how rude the woman was to me. It was the middle of winter and I found myself without heat. I respect rules and policies, however even if you were not going to help me, it was unnecessary to treat me poorly.

Great on the installation, terrible on the repair. Sold us an on demand water heater three years ago, and it has been giving us trouble over and over. Never buy a Triangle Tube boiler.

I cant say enough about Tim Kennedy, his crew, and his office staff. Every step of the way was a pleasure. Tim is clearly an expert in the field of HVAC, and he had a solution for us that was far superior than anyone elses. He and his staff worked with me on the Connecticut financing, and they really did almost all of the work. Im pretty sure that by going through with the conversion from oil to gas using the ideas he had, Im going to be saving much more than Ill be spending on the loan payment (0% loan). Every member of his crew (I think we had 7-8 different people here) was respectful, clean, friendly, and skilled. The quality of the workmanship, from my perspective, is perfect. The system they installed is whisper quiet and does a nice job. Great job and dedication by the crew. And finally, Tim is great with customer service. He is running from place to place, but he always is able to write back to a text or answer his phone (whatever the time of day or night). He even came over to our house at 9 PM to make sure that there was heat for the kids. Marie in the office is knowledgeable of all things financial and relating to the permits, and she told me exactly what I had to do every step of the way. Thanks Tim and the gang!

Fantastic Company!!! I have been using Kennedys Plumbing for years. Most recently they installed a new boiler for me. The owner, Tim; came to my house and talked to me about all my options. After listening to all my concerns and needs, he suggested that I go with the Quietside Boiler/water Heater. I am Glad I did. I now have extra space in my basement, the removal of my antiquated equipment was quick and clean, the installation Job was awesome! The new unit looks great, very organized and clean. Besides the appearance it functions very well and has saved me hundreds off my heating/hot water bills. Over the years I have used this company; I have never had any issues, I have dealt with pretty much everyone at the company and they all have been wonderful. They are always pleasent, show up on-time work very efficiently, and most of all very knowledgeable; not only in plumbing but all aspects of home improvement. Kennedys plumbing is my one stop shopping for home improvement! There nothing this company cant do!! Thanks to Kennedys Plumbing for all the Great Work!

BEWARE - this company is rude, unprofessional, and always looking to send you a bill even for work that they do wrong on multiple occasions. You will always be threatened with a diagnostic fee ($79) for a service call, even if the problem they find was caused by their techs. They will even mandate that you pay them on the spot over the phone and then charge you a 3% service charge for using a credit card, which is illegal in the state of CT, and breaks the terms of their merchant services agreement with visa and mastercard.Marie who makes the phone calls was extremely rude (to the point of being belligerent), the techs were dirty, forgetful, and under trained, and I feel caused more problems than they fixed.In short we had an AC unit that never had a problem until the A coil started a slow leak, the A Coil was changed and the next day problems started with our compressor, one after another, and I believe that most if not all were caused by the repair job that Kennedys techs did. Not to mention they were never fixed by them. We had to call in another company to fix what was broken. If I could rate them less than a zero I would. Do not say you werent warned...Update 7/16/2012: We have received threatening voicemails from the owner Tim since I posted this review. Yet another reason not to use them!

Unfortunately I’ve had at least a half a dozen “contractors” to my house in the last year. More like glorified do it yourselfers and amateurs. These guys are the pros, big trucks, professional answering service, uniformed employees and good work to boot.

Kennedys installed our new furnace two winters ago. It cost much more than the furnace & installation alone would have cost, because the diagnosis came by way of fixes that didnt correct the problem. We understood at the time that the new furnace would have an autofill device. When our tenants moved out, and there was no one to see to the draining and refilling, the furnace did not come on. (The house is on the market.) They said they would install the autofill device in the next couple of days. Now its well below freezing, and its not done. When I called about the delay, the receptionist (Alicia?) was unable to respond. Marie called back, and was very rude, both in language and tone of voice: not apologetic for their failure to follow through AT ALL, just brusquely telling me that we werent a priority, because there were families without heat.My parents who had also called for service were told the same: that they werent a priority because there were families with children and elderly who had priority. My parents are both in their 80s, BTW.They owe their single star to Alicia, the receptionist, who at least tried to be conciliatory when I called to say not to bother scheduling us: another local company (Glastonbury Boiler & Burner) was able to come within the hour.Update: AFTER my call cancelling pending service, they tried calling my husband twice--I guess, all of a sudden, we became a priority--AND then tried to schedule service through my (elderly) parents. Shameful!

Tim Kennedy is extremely rude. Although his quote indicates permits and inspections were included in the price, neither a permit was pulled nor an inspection done. This was not known until AFTER we paid him over $12000.00 for a system that broke down in less than 2 hours after he finished. The project was supposed to be done in 2 days. Instead, on the morning of day 4, we receive a call demanding that we sign an agreement for an additional $700 for freon or the project would be stopped. Having no choice, the document is signed. When the preliminary issue of why the system was not working was diagnosed, the tech determined, no freon was in the system. Hmmmm.....interesting!!!!Maybe if his workers did not decide to help themselves to baked goods out of our refrigerator without permission, or if the job was done within the agreed timeframe, or if the system worked for an entire day, I would be willing to recommend this company to an enemy. If this review had a run far away rating, this company would receive it. Poor - Fair is an extremely generous rating. On the positive side, one of his workers seems to be a stand up guy. Maybe that is the reason Tim yelled at him and threatened him with termination infront of me. Who knows??... Did I mention they are extremely professional!!!! (please note the sarcasm)Needless to say, both the City & State have been notified of the unscrupulous actions of this company.

My husband & I converted to gas heat and central air. The Kennedy team did an good job. They were timely, professional and exceeded our expectations. We will refer them with confidence.Update: A few years later we started having issues with the L.G. mini split unit. From my husbands first call to Marie at KennedyShe asked Well if you bought it back in 2015 who has been servicing you unit all this time in an accusatory tone. Then began by telling us there would be a $79 fee just to come out. Parts & labor would be determined when the tech got here. After explaining to the tech that after much on line research we had learned those units often have loose bearings and this is the rattling issue more often than none. Concerned about the potential for cost, I wasnt comfortable with this whole disconnect, take apart, clean, reassemble process so I went to get my phone to have the tech look at the L.G.WEBSITE video. By the time I got back my husband was holding the bearing ( the issue.)Bottom line here...there was going to be a fee of $611! I canceled the cleaning and tried to wrap it up but because they no longer use L.G.and only sold those units to people who financed we would need a second visit. We were told that there is no room on the truck for parts so they need to order it. The part was the size of a quarter. When I called Marie to discuss why it was so expensive, she spoke in a loud defensive tone and fast as to talk over me so she didnt have to hear me speak at all. I admit I lost my patience and literally had to scream into the phone so she would stop talking. I said Marie have you forgotten that I am the #^¥ing customer and that we spent over $25 #&* ing thousand dollars through your company? She hung up and started calling all of my husbands phones. She told him that she was concerned about the safety of the tech because of the way I dealt with her. OMG are you serious lady?*bottom line: dont expect the same treatment once youve completed the job. As you can clearly read from others we are not alone in this experience.

Beware the $79 fee that gets applied to any work that needs to be done - got charged it twice - stay away as its an indication that the focus is on dollars and not the bigger picture of cust sat which would earn them alot more money...

Kennedy came out to my house checked my furnace the technician said he knows what the problem is inless then 30 minutes the furnace was working it only needed a thermalocouple in less than 30 minuets I was charged $350 plus tax how do they come up with these prices I feel I was over charged for less than 30 minuets of work
