Supposed to be delivering Amazon packages on Sunday. They made the excuse that my driveway was unaccessible. Which is a lie. They instead hold my packages until Monday and throw the load on my local driver. Sounds like a case of laziness. No wonder they are bankrupt.

Rejecting packages Ive been doing for 10 years... If it wasnt suitable to ship why have you been letting me do it for years... Reckon Ima have to set up with ups and FedEx.

Unfortunately we got a new carrier. I dont know what this lady thinks her job description is but apparently they didnt mention DELIVERING MAIL because since she took over our route there has been nothing but trouble. I have a business in the EMU community and this woman is absolutely HORRIBLE! I cant get my packages because she doesnt bring them up. And usually wont even leave a pickup slip to tell ke to come get it. If I dont track ebery delivery down to the last second I have no idea where my items will be. She crammed a box too small to retrieve from our bank of mailboxes that we had to have the postmaster send her back to get it out which took her several days. I have package pickup service, as well and most of the time she leaves my packages and totally skips my pickup. I am very angry as we have discussed this with our local postmaster and NOTHING is changing AT ALL. Either teach her to do her job or find someone who can!

I live on a main road, mailbox clearly visible. One of my package that I tracked, they said that they tried to deliver it twice but were unable to gain access…… and then without any notification it says on my tracking order that I have to pick it up. Not only that they deliver my mail and packages to my neighbors house on a regular basis. Sad thing is, there is absolutely no consequences or standards that they are held to. They do what they want.

When our regular carrier is on vacation, our mail isnt delivered. Amazon packages that you wont deliver? Try driving up my street before you claim its undeliverable. USPS is now going to enter the check cashing industry. You dont have mail service down pat.

I dont know what happened with my package, they supposed to delivered to a place and they give it to someone else that I dont know who is it.

I have had to come into the store twice to pick up packages that were unable to be delivered. No big deal. However, both times the front desk representative Debbie has been incredibly rude. Waiting in line for 15 minutes I saw her be rude to three other people, especially one who spoke little English. When I stepped up I kindly let her know I was picking up a package, my address, and handed her my ID and she rolled her eyes and practically threw my package at me. This is the second time I have dealt with her and it makes me dread going to this post office. I never post reviews but I find it unbelievable that someone in a front-facing role can be so mean to customers who are undeserving.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!! First they said my package couldnt be delivered (less than a mile away) even though it left the morning at 6 am!!!!! Then despite them having workers there at the 10 minutes I showed up after they closed NOBODY could help me! Not with my package!, not with there open hours, not even for the time of DAY!

Very pleased. Staff is always smiling,helpful,they all seem to actually enjoy their customers. Love it. I dont even use my local office I travel 25min to this one when I need to use the help of staff

Dont want to deliver packages even 2 days before holidays

Everytime my brother and I, or my father and I go to this post office theres always this lady who gives us a lot of attitude for who knows what reason. Last time we went and asked her for our package she throws a fit about us coming to pick them up and she almost throws the packages at us. Its really tiring because we dont know this lady and we try to respect her but she continues to be rude. Im thinking about changing where I get and send my mail.

It hurts me to write this review, it really does.Its the post office. When things are working like they should, you dont even notice.I have tried working out an issue with this office for the past 90 days, and the people in this office just ignore me, refuse to contact me regarding a sensitive matter. I really cant fathom how it possible for a company to treat someone like this. I dont want to give out too much information; suffice to say what they are doing is borderline criminal. I know not all post offices are like this; but this particular one is garbage.Mr Robert Lent, the supposed Postmaster of this location is in particular heartless sociopath who cares nothing for his customers.

Apparently the drivers think my grass is a road, and my detached garage is the easiest place to drop packages, hope they go out of business soon.

An absolutely wonderful post office! I have been here several times and Ive never had a complaint! I had ordered an urn for my mothers ashes and couldnt wait for it to be delivered to my house.. I called and got put on with the manager and he himself held it for me until I came to pick it up! The people are so sweet there, I highly recommend this post office

My package was supposed to be deliver the 13th. It was the 15th I sent a message inquiring where my package was. Received a phone call and asked where the package was. The man on the phone was very rude and disrespectful when I asked a simple question. Maybe it is time for USPS to shut down.

Excellent personal relations in this post office. Informative, friendly and always helpful with postal needs. It is worth for me to drive the extra distance every time I go here.

USPS Harrisonburg delivered a perishable (clearly marked) package from Amazon to my rural mailbox on Saturday instead of bringing it up to the house. Tracking information didnt reveal until late afternoon that the package had been delivered so the ice packets were melted and the cheese within was soft and oily. This was a gift. I suggest if you want to continue to do business with Amazon you would do better at paying attention to markings on the packages and deliver accordingly.

Stopped in on 03/17/18 to send some mail to England. The Post Office had 3 clerks to wait on customers, and the clerk who waited on me (Angie) was absolutely delightful.For those of you who are trashing this Post Office for delivery issues, this is not the correct forum. It is quite easy to contact the Carrier Supervisor, give your address (so the carrier can be identified) and state the issue. Without knowing your address, the carrier at fault can not be identified and dealt with.

They take the phone off the hook and leave it off. They fail to pick up scheduled pickups. This place is staffed by the most inept halfwits you will ever come across.

Outstanding customer service to resolve a delivery issue! They are polite, professional, and explained why this issue happened.

USPS here is not a business to deal with! I would rather use UPS for faster and reliable delivery.

They have made my day pretty miserable so far. I have to give them two stars for not being the dmv or airport security.

I utilize this post office virtually every day for commercial shipping. The staff is pretty great and while somewhat hindered by USPS policies beyond their control do the absolute best they can to great effect.

I have never had a problem with this, or any other post office in the Harrisonburg area. For everyone who complains all the time about their mailman, do you ever stop to think about all the hard work that is put into making sure everything is right. yes, mistakes are made, but that is life. Delivering the mail is hard work. From all the rules and regulations to lack of funding, they do the best they can with what they have. On snow days when you and your children get to hangout at home in the warmth, your mailman still has to go in and try to sort and deliver the mail and packages. If more people understood what a postal worker had to go through, they probably wouldnt complain so much.

Too lazy to deliver a package. I’m sitting watching tv with the door open with clear view and all I get is insecure location unable to deliver. I hate using USPS and I’m going to request using fed ex or ups when I order or I won’t order from that retailer.

Tenth time now they have failed to collect a scheduled pickup. Several boxes were left sitting on my porch overnight. This particular post office is a sad joke.Edit: two years later and they have gotten worse. After asking an employee why they continually fail to collect scheduled pickups, I was told, Why dont you drop them off at the post office yourself if you need them sent.Beyond incompetent.

The passport clark lady with not understandable accent is horrible! Because of her we had to make 3 trips back and forth. She refused to take a picture of my son for passport and said that they will take a picture at the Harrisonburg courthouse after first telling us to go to Bridgewater town hall and when we went there they were closed! So then we went to hburg courthouse and they said they dont even take pictures! That country accent lady does not need to work there!!!

They were very helpful in assisting me with a package that was being shipped to my spouse overseas. They took the time to explain all of my options and help me find the cheapest way.

Both post offices in harrisonburg have great people tending to your postal needs.

Geez where do i start. I cant even begin to explain how many of my packages get delivered to the wrong house. How freaking hard is it to distinguish between I and L??? Three packages in the last 6 weeks i have had to get redelivered because some illiterate doofus does know a L has a little line coming off the bottom while a I does not. Luckily today i got a notification saying it was delivered to my front door, yet nothing was there. Walked to my mailbox, not there either. Seen a package 3 houses down from me. I walk down and sure enough there is my package. If you have the ability to go fedex or ups I highly recommend doing so.

These are by far the MOST incompetent, inefficient, unreliable, rude people I have ever dealt with. The carriers can not even fill out the pink slip forms correctly, its either the address is missing or the tracking number is missing. I was there today collecting my package which I had requested to hold in their post office for me to pick-up, I did this request online last night and within seconds I received a confirmation email. The lady at the counter informs me that it takes 2 days for them to receive online requests- how is that possible??? If I had received the confirmation email within seconds of sending the request then they should have already received my request then. Its clear that this lady was just giving me the run around and all sorts of excuses - she then calls the tall gentleman who looks like hes been drinking all day at his office, and he tells me that my package was dropped at the desk in my building, I told him that I DO NOT have a desk in my building and he tells me an address which I corrected, obviously they delivered my package to the wrong address. They couldnt find my package so all they could do was take my number and tells me that they will call me as soon as they find it. Absolute idiots, for public servants who make so much money sitting on their asses all day these people just seems to not care. Sad. I will be back tomorrow to collect my package AGAIN well see if they found it. All these stress would have been alleviated if they had admitted that they were wrong to deliver my package to the wrong address and apologize instead of giving me all the lies, excuses and run arounds. It is not my fault that I look different than you. But dont talk to me like Im a second class citizen. Shame on you people!!!

Delivery service is late in the day, often after dark, packages delivered to wrong address, very disappointing! Tracking indicated out for delivery yet not delivered due to animal interference. No animal here. I saw her deliver our mail, no attempt to leave package. Very poor service.

Id give USPS a zero star rating if I could. The tracking information is useless as it doesnt track anything other than if its in transit, delivered, or picked up by USPS. Customer service was very rude towards me and had a snarky attitude. If you can avoid USPS AT ALL I strongly suggest you do so. Its not worth the stress and worry.

Last October we moved from Virginia Beach, VA to Harrisonburg-22801.Hours in Va. Beach of P.Os are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, a period of 8 1/2 hrs.This enabled the many business people who get off at 5 PM to leave their offices a few minutes early when they had to go to their P.O.If a city of about 450,000 can maintain this higher standard of 8 1/2 hrsopen to their customers, why not Harrisonburg-22801 improving its only6 1/2 hours open to its customers ?

Ordered something through Amazon a week or two ago. It was supposed to get here Friday, it did not, yet it said online it was delivered. So I try to get ahold of someone at the USPS store in Harrisonburg over the phone. That was useless. After calling the office at my apartment complex and being told the package had not been delivered there OR in my mailbox, I drove straight to the USPS store and tried to talk to someone. Im greeted with two rude women who snap at me because I forgot my license in my car. easy fix, I go get it. I come back and one of them is busy - so I go to the other ones counter. She proceeds to glare at me (Im not kidding. she literally looked like she would rather be bitten by a snake than talk to me) as I ask her about my package. She sighs dramatically and shakes her head, saying Ugh, well hurry up and give me your tracking number! I start to read it off for her and she snaps YOURE GOING WAY TOO FAST!At that point it took everything in me not to dive across the counter at her. I glared right back and said Excuse ME. Ill go really slow so you can keep up. Of course, she didnt find my package and pointed me at a blue door. I literally didnt know what she wanted so I just went and stood by it, then she did the shoo-ing motion at me. So I left. I dont know who to call about this but I figured I would leave a review. This is not the first time my packages have been lost through this facility. Its annoying and the least the employees could do is be polite.

Consistently awful experiences. Ive had nonstop problems with the Harrisonburg USPS since I moved here and today was truly the last straw. Their employees are constantly too lazy to walk up a SINGLE flight of stairs to deliver my package to my doorstep. They constantly lie and say they knocked and no one answered although I am home EVERYTIME they say the delivery was attempted. Instead, they leave me a package slip in my bottom floor mailbox, not on my door step which lets me know they never even attempted to walk up the stairs. Every time I need to reschedule a delivery or go pick it up from the post office myself. Awful service.

As a matter of fact there is no rating low enough for the attitude displayed by this post office.I have called two post offices here in Harrisonburg, since I have been here and at both places the employees who answered the phones were hateful and rude and I was hung up on at both places. Our manager leaves at 12 and there is no way to get mail until Monday. I went to the post office and was there at 10:00 am when it opened and wanted to get my package before it left the facility. Serious hatred.I have traveled the country for the last 17 years and I can tell you that out of ALL the Post Offices that I have dealt with all over this country - Main St takes the cake.I didnt know that mail could leave the facility at noon on a week day and they get around to delivering whenever it suits them. I didnt know that, until Harrisonburg. They dont care down there. They hate the customers. They hate their job. Which leads me to Saturday.The girl at the counter pointed me towards another girl in the back. She came to the window and I told her what I needed. She went and checked with the driver and came back empty handed. That was only the beginning. When she returned, she said the driver had too much mail to deal with and if he couldnt get it delivered today then she would call me and I could come pick it up from her at the dock that afternoon. I said okay, call me.At 11:30 I pull into my place of residence and right behind me comes the mailman. I get out, go over and ask about my package. The first thing he does is fly into a fit and tell me how overloaded he is and how he has too many packages and how I have to go to the office here at my residence to get the very package that he has in his hand. Attitude from HELL.So I walk the 10 feet. Watch him stumbling and bumbling around, dropping the big pile of packages and yelling about the mail, people complaining about him and on and on he went, making a complete spectacle of himself. Then he stomped off, got on the truck and drove away. Serious attitude.Someone told me not to bother writing a review because all the Post Office will do is get pissed off, junk our mail and make us pay for what they do or dont do. My question is, when is this carrier going to go completely postal and start offing everyone? Because from what I saw, he is well on his way. He needs to retire. Immediately. Before he hurts someone.I cant wait to leave Harrisonburg. Thats USPS - another job well done.

I orders a package from eBay and again they delivered it to the wrong address. Now Im out if my money and the package. Theres no way the post man will own up to his mistake. This happens too frequently. I wish there was a way to have my mail delivered by FedEx

Terrible business hours dont allow for pickup after 4pm. It is a headache to pick up packages.

I have lived in quite a few different cities, and this one has by far the WORST post office out of any of them! The mailman is CONSTANTLY looking for an excuse to not walk up to my front porch and deliver my mail. One time he even THREW THE MAIL INTO MY YARD. Just tossed it over the front fence. It isnt my fault the mailbox is on the house rather than at the curb. I am also STILL receiving other peoples mail on a regular basis- I have gone up to the post office twice now and made a list of all people who DO NOT live at my house so that they would stop giving me their crap. They always assure me that they will only deliver MY mail, but we all know thats a lie. I call and call and call and report my mailman and my issues, and Im always told we will talk to him when he comes in from delivering. Yeah. Okay. Sure you will. Lazy ass holes.

Mail is delivered late and doesnt arrive now until after 4:15 where is was 3:30. Called and asked one day about why mail was late and I have something coming in the mail, the lady who answered was rude and told me I shouldve had an order number to track it. Well that still doesnt explain why our mail isnt being delivered and being with held. I HATE this office

They say they open at 9:30, but they actually open whenever they want apparently.

Carrier throws packages into the yard, will not put them on the porch. Boxes got soaked in the rain. Will not put flag down or shut doors. Mail comes out on the ground. Comes LATE, after dark.
