I used this company after the airlines changed flight arrival from Norfolk to Newport News. Still needed to get to Norfolk to pick up a car. Brian was super helpful on the phone (this was the third phone call I made trying to find a solution) and he guaranteed his service would not disappoint. Thank you so much for saving the day. Cost was comparable to what Uber was charging.

Getting a taxi Friday evening from City Center is challenging. For some reason taxis are not in the area. I waited over 2 hours, tried numerous companies and none sent a cab. Maybe Uber/Lyft has cut into their business so much, that cabs there are fewer cabs.

The dispatcher said there would be a cab for me in 20 minutes. After 45 I called back and she said that the driver (s) were on route. After over an hour I called again and she said that its not guaranteed that a driver is going to get me and maybe the other drivers would see it and be able to pick me up. I have never heard of such a thing. I would not recommend this company unless you personally plan on calling periodically to check on the status of a cab that you requested.

This company is great. I come to Newport News every month and Zelda gives me personalized service, driving me from the train to my hotel then the next day to the doctors and then back to my train as I am legally blind. She is so nice to talk to! The other two drivers I got my first time using them were great too. One waited 30 mins for me. My advice is to schedule rides ahead.

Terrible terrible terrible the operator I rude angry could care less about people needing help. I was a my physical therapy appointment when the man on the other line told me to move on if I didn’t hear from a driver, even though I was trying to tell him I had but I missed the call. He starts to yell at me so I ended the call i have never been treated such way and I was in to much pain to argue with him. costal ride eventually picked me up I’ll never call here again I hope this gets enough bad views and go out of business. This company needs to start over ASAP!!!

I called for a cab the man that answrted the phone was real rude and nadty and wouldnt send out a cab and told me i gotta wait cause the phone was ringing then hung up i wouldnt suggest they service to nobody thats trying to get to anywhere on time

The worst customer service ever. They are rude, indecisive and petty. It was hard to even have a reasonable conversation for service with this company. The most unprofessional service in this area. I will never use this service, nor do I recommend that anyone else does.

2/6/19 this morning cab #49 cut off FOUR cars in front of me before cutting me off. I had to literally hit my break to the floor - mind you I have a 7 month old BABY in my car. I beeped my horn and the driver proceeded to slam on his breaks/break-check 2 separate times out of anger. He then stopped dead in the middle of the road to prove a point I’m guessing - real smart guy 👍🏼. He had a full van, so I’m sure his passengers were extremely happy with their ride. Had the nerve to drive so poorly with a “How’s my driving” sticker on the back. I called the number 3 times with no answer. I then called the dispatcher who voiced his “concern”. I requested a follow up call and no one has called me back. Really unprofessional and UNSAFE. I have reported this cab driver to authorities. Go with Uber or Lyft......

Red Xs should be an option instead of stars for this company!I called the night before and scheduled a 7:45 pick up with the dispatcher, Lavern. He/she had the driver, Tamie, call me back to confirm the time and location. The next morning they called (while I was in the shower) to reconfirm and since I didnt answer, they CANCELED the pick up! When I saw the message I called the driver who wouldnt pick up. I called dispatch and they had no record of it and no drivers! They are rude, illiterate and incompetent!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would I got a ride 30 miles and it ended up being almost $90. It says the fare is 30 cents a mile on the cab but when I called the company they say it’s 30 cents an eighth of a mile. The driver was rude af, when I asked him about the pricing his response was “well what do you want me to do”. So if you have a choice don’t use this company just call Uber and save yourself some money and hassle.

Orange cabs is a great company to work for because you got the chance to go many places all over town and outer town serving the seven cities friendly dispatcher and great drivers like myself.

I would call this place garbage but that wpuld be an insult to actual garbage. I placed a reservation the day earlier for a 4:30 am pickup. They called to confirm this appointment, after 2 separate emails doing the same, at 10pm the night before. On the day of the appointment I had to call 3 times for information on the cabs whereabouts and after 35 mins I cancelled and called an Uber.I urge you not to use this company. I disregarded the bad comments because I didnt think anyone would be available to Uber that early but trust me there are people awake. Use these people as a last resort and expect them to be late and charge way too much.

Most of these drivers are crooks!! I paid $32 to go from Fort Eustis to Patrick Henry mall. My comrades from another company paid only $20. I called the owner only to discover that he does nothing and tries to woe you with idioic philosophy. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! This company was also band from our military company for bringing illegal substances on base as well. You want proof, go to the Fort Eustis website find POM office and one of the police there can fill you in...

I was trying to help an elderly lady get a cab but the dispatcher that answered the phone was so rude I will never use them. I will also make damn sure everyone I come in contact with knows what garbage this cab company employs. Vile.

Called for a cab to ORF. 30 minutes later I called to find out where the can was. They have me the number of the taxi that had been dispatched and said they would tell them to call me right away. 10 minutes later with no word from the driver I called another taxi company. Their driver called me and didnt even know where he was supposed to pick me up despite giving dispatch my pickup address.
