They recently remodeled the place and added new equipment. Plenty of racks and radial weights to do bench press, squats, deadlifts. Plenty of free weights as well. Place my seem small, but it has plenty of equipment. The only thing I wish they would improve on is the hours. They are very limited on open hours. Not worth it for someone who works a typical 8-5 job since they open at 7am and close at 7pm.
Nice and clean. The front desk agents are super friendly they make you feel very comfortable and happy. Its important to feel a certain way before you workout, like safe, and comfortable, therefore you dont have to do anything but concentrate on your workout. I love it here.
Employees are nice and the place is pretty clean. People actually clean up the machines when theyre done using them.
I had so much fun there staff was great swimming teacher kind sweet I would go back there to have swimming lessons
Nice clean workout environment and equipment.
My favorite work out atmosphere! As a Hammond resident, former student and a veteran I love this fitness center.
They recently updated the gym during the spring semester. So they have a lot of new equipment, the atmosphere in the gym is very chill very relaxed. It’s a great place to work out and it’s never crowded so a lot of the cardio machines are always open .
This gym is an amazing place to work out. The most amazing staff and the most friendly of faces. A great place for beginners whos there first time working and a staff to assist with any questions. PNW Fitness Center offers classes for Silver Sneaker Members. As well as Zumba and a fantastic Abs & Core class that will sure get you to sweat.
Great place to condition your self, staff are ready to assist you with your goal to better health too! Beautiful environment!
They have really good food across the board with large portions and great service and good prices!!!
The staff is awesome you will get great assistance I have been going for years results are awesome I have lots of energy
Facility closed too often, and has lost touch with normal decorum standards of good behavior!
Great place to work out. They have a lot of machines and weights.
Very professional staffGreat equipmentFriendly atmosphere
Silver Sneakers is the best here.
Equipment is old and looks like things like benches and bars havent been updated in a while. One of the benches is very narrow and feels like you are laying on a 2x4. The area with the free weights is small considering that whenever I go, a team whether it be the basketball, softball, or volleyball comes and trains and takes up a lot of the equipment and space. A lot of the members (mostly younger college dudes)are annoying because of their ego and instead of trying to lift with proper form, they throw on more weight than they can handle and talk like they are big stuff after cat back deadlifting a whopping (sarcasm) 365 lbs.The gym does not allow chalk which is dumb because chalk is a very reasonable thing to have when you are strength training. At a certain point, you can only grip so much weight without chalk before your hands slip. Overall, whenever I come here I dont have a good experience. I only come sometimes because it is close to school, but I generally try to go to my other gym.
Always great .... Great crowd
